We went with a very large group and we had a prefixed menu. My husband ordered the fish and it was delicious! I was low-key jealous however I was craving something sweet so I went with them giant pancake with hashbrowns and bacon. Very good. We had fantastic service, the food came out fast, and 36 people said they enjoyed their meals! The only downside is that the seats in both sides of our booth were broken down so when you sat down, your butt went straight to the wood. Our friend Andrew took us to Billy Gail's saying he goes here every year on his way home from Branson. He called it a must-do and warned us of the long wait times. We arrived around 8:40am on a Sunday in November and there was a 45 minute wait for our party of 6. We drank our complimentary coffee in styrofoam cups while we waited. The wait flew by, for me anyway. And once we were seat, our waitress was super fast, friendly, helpful and kind. We ordered more coffee and waters. This was our second time visiting this restaurant, however our first time at this specific location. It looks like the location we previously went to remodel, so we opted to visit one instead. The service was very good and they had so many workers so nothing went undone. I think that is amazing because there was something/someone being tended to at every moment. I also love how they all work together. The restaurant is very large on the inside almost resembles a well decorated warehouse. There was plenty of parking, so that definitely wasn't an issue, it was like in a plaza of sort. On the phone really good and fresh. We went to this new Billy Gail's since the original was closed. We have been eating here for such a long time, and this such a disappointing experience. We waited forever. That's fine. We were seated by the kitchen. No problem. The decor was weird. We ordered the billion dollar bacon. It was greasy and nothing special. I had the sloppy biscuit with bacon. It came with sausage. We also had the strawberry cheesecake pancake. It was fine. The new Billy Gail's leaves me with a weird feeling. It reminds me of Lamberts, and not in a good way. They are making a killing selling inexpensive pancakes. Good for them, but I would've been happier with McDonalds, and I would have been done with breakfast much faster. read more

My wife and I went here for lunch today, right about at 12 o'clock noon. The place was pretty busy, but we were seated fairly quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for a waitress to show up. Both getting our drink order and then coming back for our food order she should have been a little quicker, but it wasn't that big a deal.. She was very good, friendly and she took very good care of my wife The food came out pretty quickly and it was good. I had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and a biscuit. The only problem I noted was that the hashbrowns, while they were crispy, like I like them, They were rehydrated. They were not "real" potatoes. My wife had a salad and it was beautiful, tasteful and huge I love breakfast for any meal, so even with the hashbrowns like that I still loved the meal. The decor is very country on the cusp of being a little hokey. This is a huge restaurant, lots of people, and evidently run exceptionally well. Stick to the giant pancake, I made the mistake of ordering the tri-tip hoagie. They don't do slices of delicious Redwood barbecued tri-tip like you would get in California. They give you tiny cubes of mystery meat and blubber. I actually separated them out in 1/3 of the cubes were pure fat. The atmosphere is fun and the service is great. But stick to the giant pancake don't go near the tri-tip. read more

I really didn't think there was anything special about Billy Gail's. It's kind of a glorified IHOP. I think if you're visiting from out of town, it could be one of your potential options to just be able to say you've been there. I couldn't believe it when I came here on a Friday night at 7pm and there was no wait. Infact, there wasn't many people in the restaurant at all. The décor is so fun, quirky and no matter how many times you look around, you always spot something new. No matter what you order, the portions are huge so you most likely will be taking something to go. My husband and I shared the 'Billion Dollar Bacon' which was so flavorful. I wish it was a thicker cut, but still delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the 'Shrimp Basket' and instead of hush puppies, I got a side salad which was a meal in itself. Side note: they did initially forgot my side salad, which I forgot as well, but noticed it on the bill. They took it off the bill AND gave me the side salad to take home. I was surprised by that! Stopped in at Billy Gail's and went straight for the glazed donut burger with hash browns, and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. The sweet donut + savory burger combo was a perfect balance, and somehow didn't feel too heavy. The hash browns were crispy with that golden crunchy edge that you hope for but rarely get. They had two sauces on the table that took everything up another level: one that reminded me of A1 but smoother, and a garlic hot sauce that added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor. I ended up putting that garlic sauce on everything. The place was busy (which is expected), but the wait honestly wasn't bad, and the staff kept things moving. For one this is a pretty big eatery and its popular so if you go... just about at ANYtime its going to be busy unless it is way off tourist season. Myself, my wife and my brother stoped in around 11am on a friday 5 days before christmas. One thing that is weird is the kitchen is kinda split in the middle and the staff has to come out from there past alot of people in the front. Branson is not normally so cold so everyone was rather crowding inside instead of the many outdoor waiting tables which actually had huge seat cushions on them. We waited i think about 30 minutes to get seated in a booth. The booths are actually kinda tight especially when just about all food is served on probably 14" to 16" plates haha! If you like to dable in re-heating food later you will love this place because portions are massive. My Camp Breakfast i made 3 other meals out of. One thing tho is it has a metric ton of onions and mushrooms. Which i do love but wow it felt like half a good sized onion and a full carton of sliced mushrooms! My wife had the Country Fried Steak which was really good. It had a very light crispy breading instead of some tooth breaker over fried batter. The only thng wrong with hers was the miniscule amount of gravy for that giant meal. We had to pay extra for more which was good to take with and use later. Our waitress was friendly but obviously in a hurry since there were so many people. They use those at table Toast point of sales so paying up is real easy to get done and you get a nice reciept of what u had ( if you email it to yourself ) I will certinally come back again hopefully when its not crazy busy! read more
