Come hungry, leave in a wheelbarrow. These portions are enormous so you're definitely getting your money's worth! When you walk in, there's a small waiting area with some trinkets and shirts. The dining room has large tables in the middle and some booths along the windows. Despite it being busy, the noise level was very reasonable. Jocelyn was our server and she was awesome. Very attentive and helpful despite having several tables. The food was delicious, but so filling. I'm not usually a corn bread person, but this was incredible and with the honey butter spread .. wow. Also- the cheesecake was the best I've had, hands down. Even better than the establishment known for cheesecake Edit: We came back for breakfast the next morning and weren't disappointed with breakfast, either. The pancake is still shockingly large despite knowing it's a 14" cake. It's hands down the best pancake I've had. Usually they're just bread to me, but this one was delicious even without butter or syrup. Let me tell you I'm a huge breakfast fan! I LOOOVE a good breakfast. I was in Branson for spring break, and Billy Gail's Ultimate Breakfast Combo is my favorite thing I ate for my whole time in Branson. I chose bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a French toast pancake. I had enough for 2 meals. It was very delicious, and I'm a breakfast snob. We went with a very large group and we had a prefixed menu. My husband ordered the fish and it was delicious! I was low-key jealous however I was craving something sweet so I went with them giant pancake with hashbrowns and bacon. Very good. We had fantastic service, the food came out fast, and 36 people said they enjoyed their meals! The only downside is that the seats in both sides of our booth were broken down so when you sat down, your butt went straight to the wood. We have visited another location, and were told that there was less of a crowd at this location. We were glad for that advice because there was no wait at all. This is just a fun place with great breakfast food. The item they are famous for is the giant vanilla pancake. It is not just a gimmick, it is really good! Their biscuits and gravy is also fantastic. We drove by this location our first day in town and commented on how busy it was. I had seen reviews about this place and also recommendations on various Branson FB forums. The next morning, didn't feel like making breakfast over the campfire, and yogurt just wasn't cutting it, so I started searching for breakfast places when I remembered what I had seen about this place... and it just happened to be about 10 down the road from us. The parking lot was busy, but not as busy as the day before. I remember commenting, "I wonder how long the wait will be". Walk in and greeted enthusiastically. What a welcoming feeling. We're sat immediately. Then another thought, " we'll probably be waiting for a while before someone gets to us". Maybe it's not the best attitude to have... but most restaurants now are like that... unfortunately. To my surprise, our server greeted us within minutes of sitting down. She was so joyous and truly you could see she loved her job and loved what she was doing. I forget her name. :( we ordered while the kids colored and again... within minutes our food had arrived, and the food was delicious! My husband did devour the entire 14in cinnamon roll pancake... didn't even share with me. Hahah I got the campfire breakfast, delicious! Huge portions. I am not one to spend money on eating out for breakfast as I'm usually left feeling unsatisfied from bland boring food. I would happily return if we're ever in the area again. Our friend Andrew took us to Billy Gail's saying he goes here every year on his way home from Branson. He called it a must-do and warned us of the long wait times. We arrived around 8:40am on a Sunday in November and there was a 45 minute wait for our party of 6. We drank our complimentary coffee in styrofoam cups while we waited. The wait flew by, for me anyway. And once we were seat, our waitress was super fast, friendly, helpful and kind. We ordered more coffee and waters. Each couple had a pancake to share (and ultimately take home). Along with delicious eggs, various breakfast meats, and biscuits. A must-do in Branson! read more

This was our second time visiting this restaurant, however our first time at this specific location. It looks like the location we previously went to remodel, so we opted to visit one instead. The service was very good and they had so many workers so nothing went undone. I think that is amazing because there was something/someone being tended to at every moment. I also love how they all work together. The restaurant is very large on the inside almost resembles a well decorated warehouse. There was plenty of parking, so that definitely wasn't an issue, it was like in a plaza of sort. On the phone really good and fresh. My wife and I went here for lunch today, right about at 12 o'clock noon. The place was pretty busy, but we were seated fairly quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for a waitress to show up. Both getting our drink order and then coming back for our food order she should have been a little quicker, but it wasn't that big a deal.. She was very good, friendly and she took very good care of my wife The food came out pretty quickly and it was good. I had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and a biscuit. The only problem I noted was that the hashbrowns, while they were crispy, like I like them, They were rehydrated. They were not "real" potatoes. My wife had a salad and it was beautiful, tasteful and huge I love breakfast for any meal, so even with the hashbrowns like that I still loved the meal. The decor is very country on the cusp of being a little hokey. This is a huge restaurant, lots of people, and evidently run exceptionally well. We went to this new Billy Gail's since the original was closed. We have been eating here for such a long time, and this such a disappointing experience. We waited forever. That's fine. We were seated by the kitchen. No problem. The decor was weird. We ordered the billion dollar bacon. It was greasy and nothing special. I had the sloppy biscuit with bacon. It came with sausage. We also had the strawberry cheesecake pancake. It was fine. The new Billy Gail's leaves me with a weird feeling. It reminds me of Lamberts, and not in a good way. They are making a killing selling inexpensive pancakes. Good for them, but I would've been happier with McDonalds, and I would have been done with breakfast much faster. read more

Huge portions no matter what you order! Decor is themed rustic with classic signs and quotes hanging everywhere. It was rainy and parking is a huge lot not paved, all rocks.. be prepared to wait especially on summer weekends! Stick to the giant pancake, I made the mistake of ordering the tri-tip hoagie. They don't do slices of delicious Redwood barbecued tri-tip like you would get in California. They give you tiny cubes of mystery meat and blubber. I actually separated them out in 1/3 of the cubes were pure fat. The atmosphere is fun and the service is great. But stick to the giant pancake don't go near the tri-tip. read more

I couldn't believe it when I came here on a Friday night at 7pm and there was no wait. Infact, there wasn't many people in the restaurant at all. The décor is so fun, quirky and no matter how many times you look around, you always spot something new. No matter what you order, the portions are huge so you most likely will be taking something to go. My husband and I shared the 'Billion Dollar Bacon' which was so flavorful. I wish it was a thicker cut, but still delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the 'Shrimp Basket' and instead of hush puppies, I got a side salad which was a meal in itself. Side note: they did initially forgot my side salad, which I forgot as well, but noticed it on the bill. They took it off the bill AND gave me the side salad to take home. I was surprised by that! Stopped in at Billy Gail's and went straight for the glazed donut burger with hash browns, and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. The sweet donut + savory burger combo was a perfect balance, and somehow didn't feel too heavy. The hash browns were crispy with that golden crunchy edge that you hope for but rarely get. They had two sauces on the table that took everything up another level: one that reminded me of A1 but smoother, and a garlic hot sauce that added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor. I ended up putting that garlic sauce on everything. The place was busy (which is expected), but the wait honestly wasn't bad, and the staff kept things moving. Atmosphere felt friendly, warm, and very "Branson breakfast landmark" in the best way. Definitely planning on coming back. The hype is real. read more
