Our server Karen O was great!! So nice & personable, sweet & very attentive!! It's a family fun feel restaurant with plenty of parking & clean bathrooms! There are large picnic tables in front under a porch to sit at too. No stairs so that makes it easy for a wheelchair. He had the meat lovers omelet & said it was really good & the hash browns were great! Of course we had a pancake & it was good. The portion sizes, woooweeee!! Go very hungry lol read more

This place was highly recommended by locals and travelers to the area. There are several locations, but we decided on this one. It was bigger, it had a huge area in the front to shop, and they were able to seat the amount of people that we had in our crowd. We only had about a 10 minute wait while the servers cleaned the tables. Once we were seated, we were immediately served our drinks. I had taste for catfish, although I know that they are widely known for their brunch and the 14-inch pancake that they serve. It was around 8pm, so I wanted dinner. I will go back and try it when I am in the area again. Back to my meal...I had three sutchi catfish fillets lightly breaded in Gary's cornmeal concoction, served with hushpuppies. Instead of the fries, I had the okra. The food was pretty good. The fish was my favorite, then the okra. I think if you are in the area, it is definitely worth trying. I will return to try the brunch. read more

We had a group of 20 people of various ages and had a great time! Summer was our waitress and she was absolutely phenomenal. Portions are huge and I would definitely ask before ordering more than one pancake per the table lol. We live in Oklahoma, so come up this way often and we'll be adding this to our stops. Also, the decorations and atmosphere in there are really cool. I think it's a regional chain, but I don't care. It's delicious! read more

Come hungry, leave in a wheelbarrow. These portions are enormous so you're definitely getting your money's worth! When you walk in, there's a small waiting area with some trinkets and shirts. The dining room has large tables in the middle and some booths along the windows. Despite it being busy, the noise level was very reasonable. Jocelyn was our server and she was awesome. Very attentive and helpful despite having several tables. The food was delicious, but so filling. I'm not usually a corn bread person, but this was incredible and with the honey butter spread .. wow. Also- the cheesecake was the best I've had, hands down. Even better than the establishment known for cheesecake Edit: We came back for breakfast the next morning and weren't disappointed with breakfast, either. The pancake is still shockingly large despite knowing it's a 14" cake. It's hands down the best pancake I've had. Usually they're just bread to me, but this one was delicious even without butter or syrup. Make sure to order their special bacon if you want to try it- the menu says bacon, but it's just traditional bacon unless otherwise specified. read more

We loved this place! It was so delicious!!! Everything was HUGE (they are known for bigger portions sizes)! The service was amazing & they also gave us a free birthday confetti pancake! Yummy! It was a HUGE establishment, but wait times can vary from 30 up to 2 hours on waiting when busy! (Very much a tourist attraction)! read more

Day one of our vacation, we came around 8am for breakfast--WOW! First of all, the service was top-notch. Zero complaints. As a matter of fact, every worker we came across seemed genuinely happy to be there. 10/10. This is a great casual joint serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day long. The decor and local nostalgia make you feel like you're experiencing something really special, like a true Branson local. The food was also delicious. I opted for a classic breakfast (Gail's ranch breakfast) and everything was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend got the tri tip sandwich, which I also tried, and it was FABULOUS. They know how to smoke some meat! All in all I would highly recommend!! read more

We went with a very large group and we had a prefixed menu. My husband ordered the fish and it was delicious! I was low-key jealous however I was craving something sweet so I went with them giant pancake with hashbrowns and bacon. Very good. We had fantastic service, the food came out fast, and 36 people said they enjoyed their meals! The only downside is that the seats in both sides of our booth were broken down so when you sat down, your butt went straight to the wood. Absolutely no cushion at all, and you were about 6 inches shorter than you needed to be. read more

Service was super fast and our waiter Carissa was great! We came in on a Thursday around midday and it was pretty busy, but the service was still way quicker than we expected. My son ordered the 14-inch pancake, and we all got a kick out of how HUGE it was My daughter ordered the kids pancake, and even that was a good size! I ordered the meat omelet, but it was a little too greasy for me, so I ended up sending it back and having it taken off the bill. The rolls and hashbrowns were really good though! Overall, for the amount of food you get, the prices are very reasonable. The portions are definitely big, and we had a good experience. We would come back again to try more! read more

If you are looking for a great breakfast place in Branson, this is it! Fabulous food, friendly service, big portions, whatever you are looking for, Billy Gail's has it all. Our server was great and was happy to give us recommendations from the menu. Absolutely everything we tried was delicious. One of my favorites was the huge biscuit and side of white gravy. This sausage gravy was so good! And, of course, the 14 inch pancakes were the bomb. My husband and I couldn't even finish half of that after all of the other deliciousness, but we made a good effort, lol. Don't miss out on Billy Gail's the next time you visit Branson! read more

Nothing other to say other than... this place is awesome. Our server Barbara was attentive and always kept our drinks filled. If I have to recommend a plate... the chicken fried steak is legitimately fantastic. HUGE!! But the batter is perfect, and meat is well seasoned. Highly recommend this place to anyone! While you wait there are plenty of traffic signs and other local memorabilia on the walls to review here. But, our breakfast selection came up quickly, so there wasn't much of a wait. We two chose Billy Gayle's classic breakfast combo, which included its legendary 14-inch pancake, plus scrambled eggs, plus ham steak, plus a couple of slices of bacon, plus hash browns. That combo cost less than two standard entrées and was more than enough for two. Everything was well cooked; service was attentive. About that pancake: If you're not too hungry, a quarter of it is slightly smaller than the standard IHOP pancake, meaning one can feed multiple diners. read more

Service is great, but this is the worst food I have ever about had. I got the pulled pork burrito, so much egg and no meat except for the little they give you on the top of your burrito. My husband got the donut burger which he only ended up eating the patty lol. Cheese curds were okay, and potatoes were okay. Much better places to go read more

Great breakfast! The 14" pancake with peach cobbler and whipped cream on top was incredible! Good server and everything was delicious.

Let me tell you I'm a huge breakfast fan! I LOOOVE a good breakfast. I was in Branson for spring break, and Billy Gail's Ultimate Breakfast Combo is my favorite thing I ate for my whole time in Branson. I chose bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and a French toast pancake. I had enough for 2 meals. It was very delicious, and I'm a breakfast snob. My brother had the cinnamon roll pancake and loved it. There were 9 of us, ages 9-77, and everyone enjoyed their meals. read more

We went in as a party of 7 on Thanksgiving day. We knew there would be a wait, but it wasn't bad! We arrived at 11 and were seated just before noon. They had an excellent Thanksgiving meal of ham, turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans, yams, stuffing, pie, oh MY! My daughters ordered the double chocolate pancake. They loved it too! Huge portions so dinner is covered. Parking is simple and I'd Highly recommend our server, Miss Pat. She is awesome! read more

We have visited another location, and were told that there was less of a crowd at this location. We were glad for that advice because there was no wait at all. This is just a fun place with great breakfast food. The item they are famous for is the giant vanilla pancake. It is not just a gimmick, it is really good! Their biscuits and gravy is also fantastic. We haven't tried anything that we didn't like. If you want a great breakfast, but don't want to wait in a long line, check out this location of Billy Gail's. read more

First time we went we were seated by the drink area and I kept getting bumped in to by the staff. I scooted as close as possible to the table, but they still bumped either my head or chair. I couldn't sit on the other side because the tables were close and the people at the other table was crowded already and I'm sure we would have bumped into each other. The second time we went we were in an awkward booth, but it was more comfortable. The food was ok, but nothing great. We did door dash the other day and the French toast was really good. The hashbrowns were eh, I've had better. The biscuits and gravy were not edible. The biscuits were doughy and the gravy looked old and congealed. I'll not bother with them again. 2 out of three was bad and that's not good. read more

A quirky and fun restaurant, this one immediately caught my eye. We ordered breakfast to go since our kids were still sleeping. Service was quick and good. The food is awesome! Probably ONE of the very few places where you get great food for a reasonable price!!!! We had our 13 year old grandson with us....and even HE couldn't finish the HUGE pancake. Our waitress was fantastic!!! We were here during the week, mid-summer...and it is busy. But, we are from the DFW area....so, waiting to eat is commonplace for us. The ambiance is inviting and everyone was helpful. By far, one of the very few places that I would recommend you eat at when in Branson!!!! read more

Food and service were just ok. Nothing to make us want to come back, except for the sweet potato fries, they were excellent.

We drove by this location our first day in town and commented on how busy it was. I had seen reviews about this place and also recommendations on various Branson FB forums. The next morning, didn't feel like making breakfast over the campfire, and yogurt just wasn't cutting it, so I started searching for breakfast places when I remembered what I had seen about this place... and it just happened to be about 10 down the road from us. The parking lot was busy, but not as busy as the day before. I remember commenting, "I wonder how long the wait will be". Walk in and greeted enthusiastically. What a welcoming feeling. We're sat immediately. Then another thought, " we'll probably be waiting for a while before someone gets to us". Maybe it's not the best attitude to have... but most restaurants now are like that... unfortunately. To my surprise, our server greeted us within minutes of sitting down. She was so joyous and truly you could see she loved her job and loved what she was doing. I forget her name. :( we ordered while the kids colored and again... within minutes our food had arrived, and the food was delicious! My husband did devour the entire 14in cinnamon roll pancake... didn't even share with me. Hahah I got the campfire breakfast, delicious! Huge portions. I am not one to spend money on eating out for breakfast as I'm usually left feeling unsatisfied from bland boring food. I would happily return if we're ever in the area again. Delicious food, joyous energetic and welcoming atmosphere and ambiance. And amazing service! read more

Our friend Andrew took us to Billy Gail's saying he goes here every year on his way home from Branson. He called it a must-do and warned us of the long wait times. We arrived around 8:40am on a Sunday in November and there was a 45 minute wait for our party of 6. We drank our complimentary coffee in styrofoam cups while we waited. The wait flew by, for me anyway. And once we were seat, our waitress was super fast, friendly, helpful and kind. We ordered more coffee and waters. Each couple had a pancake to share (and ultimately take home). Along with delicious eggs, various breakfast meats, and biscuits. A must-do in Branson! read more

Stopped in at Billy Gail's and went straight for the glazed donut burger with hash browns, and let me tell you, it was absolutely worth it. The sweet donut + savory burger combo was a perfect balance, and somehow didn't feel too heavy. The hash browns were crispy with that golden crunchy edge that you hope for but rarely get. They had two sauces on the table that took everything up another level: one that reminded me of A1 but smoother, and a garlic hot sauce that added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor. I ended up putting that garlic sauce on everything. The place was busy (which is expected), but the wait honestly wasn't bad, and the staff kept things moving. Atmosphere felt friendly, warm, and very "Branson breakfast landmark" in the best way. Definitely planning on coming back. The hype is real. read more

First time customer. Good fast service. Got the carnivore omlette.. which was huge. I did think it was a little heavy on the amount of meat it contained and all the meat was a bit over seasoned. Billy Gail's in Branson definitely lives up to the hype. It's always packed, but they keep things moving and the service is quick even with the crowds. We got the sweet pancake and it was bigger than half our two-person table, no exaggeration. It's one of those "you have to see it to believe it" kind of dishes. We also ordered two buttermilk biscuits à la carte and they were huge, fluffy, and just as impressive. Portions here are massive across the board, so come hungry or plan to share. Prices are fair for the amount of food you get, which makes it an easy stop if you're looking for a fun, over-the-top breakfast experience. read more

This was our second time visiting this restaurant, however our first time at this specific location. It looks like the location we previously went to remodel, so we opted to visit one instead. The service was very good and they had so many workers so nothing went undone. I think that is amazing because there was something/someone being tended to at every moment. I also love how they all work together. The restaurant is very large on the inside almost resembles a well decorated warehouse. There was plenty of parking, so that definitely wasn't an issue, it was like in a plaza of sort. On the phone really good and fresh. The portions were huge as we experienced last time so I didn't expect anything less. read more

My wife and I went here for lunch today, right about at 12 o'clock noon. The place was pretty busy, but we were seated fairly quickly and we didn't have to wait too long for a waitress to show up. Both getting our drink order and then coming back for our food order she should have been a little quicker, but it wasn't that big a deal.. She was very good, friendly and she took very good care of my wife The food came out pretty quickly and it was good. I had eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and a biscuit. The only problem I noted was that the hashbrowns, while they were crispy, like I like them, They were rehydrated. They were not "real" potatoes. My wife had a salad and it was beautiful, tasteful and huge I love breakfast for any meal, so even with the hashbrowns like that I still loved the meal. The decor is very country on the cusp of being a little hokey. This is a huge restaurant, lots of people, and evidently run exceptionally well. Definitely this is a go to place for breakfast, and when we come back to Branson, I will eat here again read more

Huge portions no matter what you order! Decor is themed rustic with classic signs and quotes hanging everywhere. It was rainy and parking is a huge lot not paved, all rocks.. be prepared to wait especially on summer weekends! We went to this new Billy Gail's since the original was closed. We have been eating here for such a long time, and this such a disappointing experience. We waited forever. That's fine. We were seated by the kitchen. No problem. The decor was weird. We ordered the billion dollar bacon. It was greasy and nothing special. I had the sloppy biscuit with bacon. It came with sausage. We also had the strawberry cheesecake pancake. It was fine. The new Billy Gail's leaves me with a weird feeling. It reminds me of Lamberts, and not in a good way. They are making a killing selling inexpensive pancakes. Good for them, but I would've been happier with McDonalds, and I would have been done with breakfast much faster. read more
