Stick to the giant pancake, I made the mistake of ordering the tri-tip hoagie. They don't do slices of delicious Redwood barbecued tri-tip like you would get in California. They give you tiny cubes of mystery meat and blubber. I actually separated them out in 1/3 of the cubes were pure fat. I couldn't believe it when I came here on a Friday night at 7pm and there was no wait. Infact, there wasn't many people in the restaurant at all. The décor is so fun, quirky and no matter how many times you look around, you always spot something new. No matter what you order, the portions are huge so you most likely will be taking something to go. My husband and I shared the 'Billion Dollar Bacon' which was so flavorful. I wish it was a thicker cut, but still delicious. For my entrée, I ordered the 'Shrimp Basket' and instead of hush puppies, I got a side salad which was a meal in itself. Side note: they did initially forgot my side salad, which I forgot as well, but noticed it on the bill. They took it off the bill AND gave me the side salad to take home. I was surprised by that! My husband ordered the 'Chicken Fried Chicken' dinner. All the food was good, we enjoyed it. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. For one this is a pretty big eatery and its popular so if you go... just about at ANYtime its going to be busy unless it is way off tourist season. Myself, my wife and my brother stoped in around 11am on a friday 5 days before christmas. One thing that is weird is the kitchen is kinda split in the middle and the staff has to come out from there past alot of people in the front. Branson is not normally so cold so everyone was rather crowding inside instead of the many outdoor waiting tables which actually had huge seat cushions on them. We waited i think about 30 minutes to get seated in a booth. The booths are actually kinda tight especially when just about all food is served on probably 14" to 16" plates haha! If you like to dable in re-heating food later you will love this place because portions are massive. My Camp Breakfast i made 3 other meals out of. One thing tho is it has a metric ton of onions and mushrooms. Which i do love but wow it felt like half a good sized onion and a full carton of sliced mushrooms! My wife had the Country Fried Steak which was really good. It had a very light crispy breading instead of some tooth breaker over fried batter. The only thng wrong with hers was the miniscule amount of gravy for that giant meal. We had to pay extra for more which was good to take with and use later. Our waitress was friendly but obviously in a hurry since there were so many people. They use those at table Toast point of sales so paying up is real easy to get done and you get a nice reciept of what u had ( if you email it to yourself ) I will certinally come back again hopefully when its not crazy busy! read more

Be prepared for a long wait if you're here for brunch. The first time we tried was on a weekend, and the estimated wait time was "an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes." We didn't stay. Later we tried on a weekday and the wait was only half an hour. The food is very good, and they have some unique offerings, like the French pancakes--which really do taste like French toast! Their specialty seems to be the 14" pancake. It's fun, because it's huge, although a little unnecessary for it to be that big, especially if you're ordering it as an add-on to a meal. This place was popppping. We had an hour wait, but after us there was a 2 hour wait for breakfast. We got the billion dollar bacon for an appetizer and I don't think it was worth 8$. It was 4 pieces of thin bacon with syrup on top of it. For my meal, I got the sloppy biscuit ( I think was the name) the biscuit was good with the gravy & eggs sunny side up. The hash browns were nice and crispy. I also added the grits, they were good yet Smokey. Husband got the Billy's belly buster (name is scary lol) it came with 2 HUMONGOUS pancakes. Billy Gail's is the ultimate Americana breakfast place. You can get pancakes bigger than a small child. I am not a huge sweet breakfast person, but my husband is and he was very happy with his giant chocolate chip pancakes. There was enough to share. You could probably feed a family of five with one order of pancakes. I got the biscuits and gravy with hashbrowns. It was delicious. Our server was very sweet and attentive. She kept our mugs filled with hot coffee. The food was out to us quickly. The restaurant is huge and the walls are covered with quirky decorations. It is kind of like a Cracker Barrel, but the decorations are more modern looking. This place was very fun and the food is delicious. Come hungry. Hey Yelpers! We have visited this location twice in the last three days. That should say something. First off, you are going to have to wait. I don't know if there is ever a time when they aren't busy. The service is great. The servers are down-home friendly and attentive. Also, even though there is a wait for a table, the food comes out relatively quickly. As for the food, the portions are HUGE! That is one thing this place is known for. Most of the meals could be shared by two people. The chicken fried steak takes up almost the entire plate. It tasted good, but the outer portions were more well done than the interior. As large as it was, it would be difficult to get an even cook on it. Their billion dollar bacon is delicious and worth the hype. The sloppy chicken and biscuits was amazing and, again, large enough for two people. The giant pancake is something to behold. At 14 inches across, I've never seen anything like it. Wow, what an amazing find in Branson! This place is known for their homemade special batter 14 inch pancake. All biscuits are made from scratch here as well. If you are vegan, you will need to modify salads, but they are portioned big enough you will leave filling full. You can add avocado, house made pickled green tomatoes, and you can add extra toppings as you desired. The servers have great recommendations for their favorites. The food was good, fresh, and there is enough variety for anyone. They have a cute general store in the front and the environment is absolutely enjoyable and decorated towards ozark themed. read more

This building is huge. Seating is for 700. Service was great. Not many people dining. Hub's wanted fried chicken and would take 20 minutes to prepare so he selected a Turkey, Bacon and Cheese Melt sandwich. I had fruit cup which was ridiculously priced for a small fruit cup, not bowl. I had a piece of cheesecake that was $8.99. I mean a small piece and sour tasting. This place, we were disapointed with. It was decorated so cute and to be so large it has to be good to many.
