Billy Gail’s - Branson - 14" pancake! The Billy Buster - 3 eggs, hasbrowns, side meat, toast and TWO pancakes. Could feed three hungry people $ 19. - American Near Me - Branson, Missouri

Wow, what an amazing find in Branson! This place is known for their homemade special batter 14 inch pancake. All biscuits are made from scratch here as well. If you are vegan, you will need to modify salads, but they are portioned big enough you will leave filling full. You can add avocado, house made pickled green tomatoes, and you can add extra toppings as you desired. The servers have great recommendations for their favorites. The food was good, fresh, and there is enough variety for anyone. They have a cute general store in the front and the environment is absolutely enjoyable and decorated towards ozark themed. read more

This building is huge. Seating is for 700. Service was great. Not many people dining. Hub's wanted fried chicken and would take 20 minutes to prepare so he selected a Turkey, Bacon and Cheese Melt sandwich. I had fruit cup which was ridiculously priced for a small fruit cup, not bowl. I had a piece of cheesecake that was $8.99. I mean a small piece and sour tasting. This place, we were disapointed with. It was decorated so cute and to be so large it has to be good to many. Again, the service was top notch. read more

Yum! Everyone enjoyed their meal. Portions were huge! Prices were reasonable and our waitress was very nice. One thing that could be improved was the hour long wait. It was worth it though. We came here on our last day for breakfast. It wasn't too far from downtown Branson. Parking can get limited as it's a very popular place. We had to park in the lot that is further down from the first big lot. It was across the street. Once we got inside we had to wait. We decided to wait it out since there was nowhere else we wanted to go for breakfast. We ordered the popular items and the portion sizes were massive. We did have leftovers to take home. Food quality was good and prices weren't expensive. I recommend going on a weekday for a shorter wait. Service was great. Our food came out fast and hot. read more

We waited about 30 minutes for a table and that wasn't bad at all. Plenty seating for people waiting. The staff were so friendly especially our waitress, Miss Pat!! The amount of food on each plate was wild! The pancakes really are enormous and delicious! If you leave hungry it's your own fault! The taste and a quality of the food was amazing as well. Miss Pat was knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and gladly shared with us. Over all we had an excellent experience and will gladly return. read more

Disappointed because our hotel doesn't do breakfast anymore so we decided to go out and get some breakfast instead and this place was so homey and perfect. Many old folk here but anyone should go if they want a tasty meal, there's a little something for everyone! Food was super yummy, we got the 14" pancake and the sloppy biscuits and gravy and one entree with the chicken biscuits. The pancake definitely lived up to its hype, perfectly sweet and so filling. Marquel, our waitress, was very nice and attentive, we got our food speedy fast and drinks refilled whenever they were 2/3 empty. She even asked if we wanted our drinks to go. read more

Wait was minimal: 20 minutes for a party of 4 right before lunch time. Service was excellent! Order taken and food delivered in a hot minute. Drinks delivered & Everything filled and refilled in a timely manner. Ambiance: eclectic and fun - so much to look at and some great signs to read. And, wow- how did they get those boats and sails inside? That would have been fun to watch! Ok, back to food. So much delicious food that we all had another meal from it all! My hubby got that huge meat/egg omelette. He also got the fried bologna and ate all of it - said it was delicious. He's a big guy and couldn't finish it. His side hash browns and toast went to our other family members. I had their Patty melt with fries - had half of that for dinner later! So good. Yum! My brother got two biscuits & gravy - same story - half for later. And the last person my sil got the Hawg and slaw (pulled pork), yep same story - more than enough for a meal later that night. So, so delicious. We love going to Billy Gail's when we visit Branson. So happy they have another location! read more

We visited for Spring Break and my family loved our breakfast the most. The kids challenged my husband with the Belly Buster and it was a massive amount of food that he was not able to finish. Stopped in for breakfast while in town to see A Christmas Story dinner show. Staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife and I had read that the portions were big so we got 1 order of the Biscuits & Gravy to share. Very glad we did as the order was definitely plenty for both of us. Nice peppery gravy with a great amount of sausage. The biscuits had a great flavor and paired nicely with the gravy. Hashbrowns were just about the best we've tasted in a while. Highly recommend. After hearing and reading all of the hoopla about the Billy Gail's restaurant at the Branson Mill here in Branson, I hesitantly caved and went there with my wife for breakfast today. We ate at the Republic location almost 2 years ago and our experience was sub par there, with our entire party underwhelmed by the service, food, and all around experience. My experience this morning at Billy Gail's at Branson Mill was even worse, which astounds even me. When we entered the restaurant , it was hot and muggy, which I was hoping was just because we were near the door and it was hot outside. My hopes were dashed because we were seated at a tiny booth which was directly under some sort of fan which was blowing hot, humid air down directly onto our table. I could barely breathe. I had to get up and find somewhere that I could comfortably breathe. We were seated in the opposite end of the restaurant, where I quickly realized that if that establishment HAD air conditioning, it clearly wasn't working. We looked at the menu and prepared to order. I ordered Gail's Ranch Breakfast and my wife had their Monte Cristo. Both of our breakfasts arrived at our table just minutes after we ordered them, which seemed quite odd to me because the place was packed with a line out the door. Our server brought my wife's Coke and my "coffee" to the table. I stirred some cream and sweetener into it and took a drink. The "coffee" was room temperature and was the absolute worst excuse for coffee that I've ever tasted. I informed the server of my displeasure with the coffee when she came to the table with our meals. Her reply was immediate, blunt , and as cold as the coffee. She curtly replied , "That's the first time I've heard that in the four years I've been working here", which I assumed she meant the company because that particular restaurant hasn't been open for nearly that long. My reply to her was thatI my coffeewas cold and it tasted bad. Her solution was to offer me some coffee from a fresh pot. She HAD to be kidding me. I actually had to look up at her face to see if she WAS kidding me. She was dead serious. I politely declined , telling her that I doubted a fresh pot of the same coffee would change that flavor. It honestly tasted like dirt with year-old used coffee grounds were used in the coffeemaker. I am not exaggerating. The coffee was THAT bad. The server took my coffee cup and walked away. Now to the food. When I took my first bite of my hash browns, I immediately realized why our breakfasts arrived at our table so quickly: they must've been already prepared and sitting under heat lamps waiting for someone to order them, because my meal was room temperature cold - COLD hash browns, COLD eggs, COLD bacon, and I use that term loosely because whatever sort of meat that was, it was cut to resemble bacon, and was so heavily seasoned with barbecue and smoky flavoring that the "meat" wasn't visible, and it was colder than the eggs and hash browns. Part of it hadn't even thawed completely, giving me the impression that it came from a package of frozen processed smoky bacon flavored "meat". I pushed my plate to the edge of the table so the server would see that I was done. My wife had ordered a side of fried okra because she knows how much I enjoy it. I took one bite of the fried okra and was done with that as well. It was beyond disgusting. The okra was dreadfully undercooked and slimier than a slug on a rainy day. How the breading was crispy and the okra was so cold and slimy, I actually have no idea, but that one bite almost gagged me. The server took the okra off of our bill. She left the nasty coffee and my frigid breakfast on the bill. I said nothing . I just wanted to get out of that hothouse that served cold, nasty food and cold, terrible coffee. My wife couldn't finish her breakfast either. We both got sick to our stomachs when we got home. After that experience, we won't be going out to eat again unless the eatery is guaranteed farm to table fresh with NO bioengineered foods, no preservatives, no processed foods, no antibiotics, and always cooked to order. THAT was $52+ wasted. read more

Service was great. The fried green tomatoes are very good. Chicken fried steak is massive. My wife and I shared it and only ate about half of it. Green beans are very good as well. Great food and the service was excellent. Be advised, the portions are huge. We were traveling, so couldn't take leftovers with us.

We usually come to Billy Gail's anytime we visit Branson, but we usually go to the location closer to Silver Dollar City. I wish we had done that this time around. We expected a wait, as always. We were told 30-45 minutes. Over an hour later we were finally seated. We waited at least another 10 minutes for our waitress. Once she finally showed, we place out drink order and food order. After watching tables who were sat after us recieve their food. Our waitress returns and states our food is not there and she doesn't even have our order. We had to order all over again. We are going on 2 hours of being here, almost an hour of being sat, and we still do not have food. We were told our drinks are comped and we will recieve a locals discount. But then the blame. Was placed on it being busy. This restaurant is always this busy, so that is not an excuse. read more

They have great pancakes but keep in mind it is 14", so they are shareable for most. The coffee is really bad, strong and very acidic. I would not go back again. Old dark and dusty. This place is so awesome in terms of atmosphere! The hospitality is great, and relics on the walls and ceilings are so fun to look at. The menu has great variety and if you're a big eater or very hungry, this is your spot. As for the food, I'm big on flavor. Although it was made to order and very fresh, it didn't pack a punch on flavor. Even with the bland flavor, it is still a 5 star place, you won't be disappointed! read more

Hey Billy, In 2003, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) passed a law that only fish in the Ictaluridae family, which includes American catfish can be labeled or advertised as CATFISH. Sutchi (commonly known as Swai) is from a separate family called Pangasiidae. You can't get around the rules by calling it "Sutchi Catfish" because it is NOT Catfish in the eyes of the FDA. We walked out after seeing that your "Famous Catfish Basket" didn't include Catfish. read more

Had breakfast here on Sunday morning and were seated right away. You know the food is going to be good when there's a huge gravel parking lot, LOL! Jenn was our server and so personable! The coffee was good, and hot. We started with the Billion dollar Bacon, because, um, bacon! It was 4 large slices of bacon cooked with brown sugar, pepper, cayenne and maple syrup! Oh. My. Goodness! My friend had the Camp Breakfast and wow!! Huge plate of fresh food cooked smoking hot and delicious! It was eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, onion, and sausage scrambled together and topped with cheese! It even came with toast! I had the Sloppy Biscuit! It was a biscuit, cut in half opened with crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese smothered in sausage gravy with hashbrowns on the side. Drool worthy, y'all!! Even the food runner was pleasant. Jenn gave excellent service. I highly recommend this breakfast spot. read more
