Stopped in for breakfast while in town to see A Christmas Story dinner show. Staff was very friendly and attentive. My wife and I had read that the portions were big so we got 1 order of the Biscuits & Gravy to share. Very glad we did as the order was definitely plenty for both of us. Nice peppery gravy with a great amount of sausage. The biscuits had a great flavor and paired nicely with the gravy. Hashbrowns were just about the best we've tasted in a while. Highly recommend. Talk about a breakfast spot. Ate there this morning it was a good spot. Atmosphere was really cool and food is what you crave in the morning. Big portions that didn't taste like it was big portion. Definitely had flavor and was prepared by cooks that seemed they cared. I had the chicken fried steak omelette which I am not an omelette guy but it was really good. My wife had the catfish and eggs. Boy that was breaded perfectly and tasted great. We're from the west coast and it was really good. (Not had catfish before) I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. Get there early because we went around 8am and were seated immediately. When we left there were 20 people inside waiting and 75 outside waiting. I know why. Our server a gentleman which I think his name was Georgio. Sorry if I miss spelled it he was friendly and attentive with such a large crowd. Keep it up Billy Gail's. This was the most disappointing meal of our entire week in Branson. I had been lured in by the idea of the "billion dollar" bacon. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait because there were no tables. However, there were three empty and clean tables within our view. Honestly, the chaos and confusion among the guests awaiting set the tone for our breakfast. One group that had been waiting with us was even questioning us about who was likely to be called next, as they were sure we had been passed over. Once seated in a crooked corner booth, we decided on our food selection long before the wait staff even made their way back to us. The special billion dollar bacon looked lovely, but the spice and glaze was inconsistently applied, so that sometimes the flavors were overwhelming and the next bite had none. Perhaps we expected too much because when the food arrived, it looked amazing. The eggs on my avocado toast appeared to be perfectly cooked, but I soon found that it was so cold that the told had congealed before it was served. My dining companion ordered the ham steak breakfast with a side of grits. The ham steak was too thick to cut and was overly salty. The table of diners next to us attempted to complain about his overly cooked sausage, but was unable to get anyone's attention until everyone at the table had already been disappointed by their meals. read more

We usually come to Billy Gail's anytime we visit Branson, but we usually go to the location closer to Silver Dollar City. I wish we had done that this time around. We expected a wait, as always. We were told 30-45 minutes. Over an hour later we were finally seated. We waited at least another 10 minutes for our waitress. Once she finally showed, we place out drink order and food order. After watching tables who were sat after us recieve their food. Our waitress returns and states our food is not there and she doesn't even have our order. We had to order all over again. We are going on 2 hours of being here, almost an hour of being sat, and we still do not have food. We were told our drinks are comped and we will recieve a locals discount. But then the blame. Was placed on it being busy. This restaurant is always this busy, so that is not an excuse. read more

This place is so awesome in terms of atmosphere! The hospitality is great, and relics on the walls and ceilings are so fun to look at. The menu has great variety and if you're a big eater or very hungry, this is your spot. As for the food, I'm big on flavor. Had breakfast here on Sunday morning and were seated right away. You know the food is going to be good when there's a huge gravel parking lot, LOL! Jenn was our server and so personable! The coffee was good, and hot. We started with the Billion dollar Bacon, because, um, bacon! It was 4 large slices of bacon cooked with brown sugar, pepper, cayenne and maple syrup! Oh. My. Goodness! My friend had the Camp Breakfast and wow!! Huge plate of fresh food cooked smoking hot and delicious! It was eggs, hash browns, mushrooms, onion, and sausage scrambled together and topped with cheese! It even came with toast! I had the Sloppy Biscuit! It was a biscuit, cut in half opened with crispy bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese smothered in sausage gravy with hashbrowns on the side. Drool worthy, y'all!! Even the food runner was pleasant. May 31, 2024 and 4 of us went for breakfast. Lots of close parking. Even though it was fairly busy, it is relatively quiet inside. I am sure it is the very tall ceiling and all of the collectible items hanging from the walls and ceilings that help absorb/deflect sound. The menu is quite extensive. We went for 2 of the 14" blueberry pancakes and an order of the fried chicken and pancake. The blueberry pancakes were thoroughly enjoyed as was the plain pancake. The fried chicken was on the dry side though, and that is the only reason this review is not a 5. The lake of organization in the lack of the ability to do things around here is ridiculous. We waited an 30 min to be seated, and the food is mediocre at best. They talk too much and never ready to take orders at a decent time. We are I'll be waiting 20 min at the table before they decided to come help us at the table and take a drink order. We came in and wear ahead of 3 or 4 other tables and they got helped before us. This is where they need to be organized. There hamburgers have no flavor no seasoning at all tasteless you have to add salt and pepper or you get no flavor at all. There are no directions when you show up to say check in at the counter to be seated. Also who in the world doesn't take debit or credit cards these days. Pass the fee to the customer that wants to use a card having to pull cash out to eat some where is unheard-of anymore these. days. read more

Was visiting Branson for the weekend and decided to give this place a try. I've heard on the weekends they can have a long wait so I was pleasantly surprised when we were seated right away and the restaurant was pretty empty. The menu has a variety of options that I really liked. I went with a specialty pancake combo. My pancake and sausage were very good. The pancake was huge with just the right amount of blueberries. My husband got the French toast combo and said it tastes great. Now the downside. We both ordered coffee and enjoyed our first cup while waiting for our food to come out. The wait for our food did take awhile which surprised me since the restaurant was pretty empty. We both sat with empty coffee cups for about 15 minutes. Finally our food came out and it wasn't our waitress who delivered it. We did ask for a refill of coffee which we did receive. Our waitress never did come by again except to bring us the bill. Our coffee cups had sat empty again and no refill was offered. At that point we just paid the bill by scanning the QR code and left. read more

We had to dodge the 1/2 price show tickets shark planted behind a kiosk at the front door. Not what I was hoping to run into when going for a nice breakfast. The service was good but a little slow refilling my coffee. I ordered the Special Omelet with hash browns and sour dough toast. My wife ordered the 14" blueberry pancake. My omelet had 5 eggs but must've been small because it was average size but the ingredients were smoked ham, onion, peppers and cheese. I had them leave off the mushrooms. It was good! The toast was unbuttered and the hash browns were very thinly grated, nothing special. My wife's pancake was very good but lacking in blueberries. She asked for whipped cream and maybe got 2 tablespoons worth. Anyway, it was huge and delicious just not what she was expecting. We ate breakfast at Billy Gail's. It was an upbeat fun place with friendly workers. My husband had the giant pancake , hash browns and bacon. It was all quite delicious. The pancake was big enough for at least 2 people. It was slightly sweet and really didn't need syrup (I'm not a fan of sweets in the am) but he used it anyway.
