    Loaded Cheese Fries

Seems to be a popular place, the restaurant was full. The rolls are good. The cheese fries come in a small portion and were a little on the skimpy side with the toppings and they definitely had sat a bit while waiting for the e rest of our food. The steak was tender but ordered medium and came out well done. The catfish was a little soggy. Green beans were mid. Chicken fried chicken was breaded nice and tasted ok. Potato salad was yuck. Fries were not fresh. Corn had no flavor. We ordered iced tea and the first cup tasted like water, it had zero tea flavor. He went and got us another cup out of a different pot and it was barely any better, weakest tea I have ever had. Our server was good enough.

Fall Creek, overall it was a positive experience for us. The portions were big and the food tasted well. It is a bit on the pricey side but all in all worth it. Service was a bit slow but we were a party of 8 and it happens. The server was ok but nothing extra to brag about. We asked about the rolls and were told, "when they get done and when we have time". A little bit trite. It was quiet in the afternoon so hopefully it picks up. If you want that more lively atmosphere.

Our waiter was top notch! Came and checked on us regularly even tho there wasn't an empty seat in the house! That was great. Unfortunately the food could be better. My shrimp was actually very good, just wasn't ready for the heat. The mashed potatoes and gravy were horrible, and I love mashed potatoes. My husband got the all you can eat catfish- and being as we are from Montana- we are used to walleye. Sooo this catfish was like mush. And not a lot of flavor. The location is great, it will get anyone in the door, but for me it will only be once.

This restaurant is typically busy, so it was great to go around 4:00 and not have to wait in line. That being said, we should not have had to wait to be seated for five minutes. We saw several employees, they were chatting among themselves or eating. About the time we went to search one out, someone came and seated us. Our waitress was very nice and personable, but her mind was some where else. She said that herself after taking something for us to the table behind us. Literally, this happened three or four times! The best part of the meal was the salad bar. It tasted fresh and there was a nice selection of toppings. That was all I ordered and I was stuffed from one trip. My spouse added the salad bar on to his chicken fried chicken meal (good, not great) and also really enjoyed it. I definitely recommend the salad bar.

Food was just ok. The mashed potatoes tasted like smoke (no the good kind). The service was excellent. The place is really kitsch.

Low quality across the board. Food was horrible and staff was not great. We should have read the reviews before going.

YUM...had to take it slow as they pack a bit of a punch on an empty stomach. I had the Baked French Onion soup as a starter. The Caesar salads were so fresh and good. No choice on the dressing, but it was very good with no anchovies and freshly baked warm rolls and butter. Our entrees were the 12 oz K.C. prime strip and the 16 oz prime ribeye. I had the loaded baked potato and hubby had fries. The steaks are seasoned so well that you don't need any further S/P or sauces. Cutting into them is like cutting into butter...incredibly tender. The topper of the evening was a Dean Martin tribute singer act starts at 6 pm. His voice is velvety smooth. We left so satisfied and relaxed. What a wonderful evening!

The dining hall is beautifully adorned with cabin-esque motif and overlooks the campus and mountains. The menu has a great variety and notes items that are made by the students (e.g. butters and cakes). Their complimentary, fresh made bread basket with three types of butters was a fantastic start to the meal. We ordered the mushroom soup, the pork belly sandwich w/ fries, and the shrimp and grits. I will say that the pork belly po' boy was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life! I almost stayed in town longer on the second day just to order it again. The pork belly was smoky, tender, and sweet and paired so well with the grain mustard, pickled onions and arugula -- superb balance of flavors. My husband also noted the shrimp and grits was some of the best he's ever had. The shrimp and pork belly in the dish were perfectly cooked and the Cajun spices were well balanced. And we have to tell you to try their fresh desserts. The brown butter chocolate cake was a special ending to the meal. This is an excellent stop and our student server provided excellent service - they're doing a great job there and is a highly recommended of ours during your stop during your visit to Branson.

The poutine was fabulous. The fry coating was crisp and tasty and the gravy was full of flavor. The Reuben sandwich is outstanding! The way they cut that corned beef was nothing short of magic. An egg on there? What? I've never heard of such a thing, but yes please. And I had the brûlée corn; which I may need to learn how to replicate because I've never seen this on any menu in Chicago, but it's too far to travel as often as I'll be thinking about that dish! The old fashions were smooth! Went with vanilla and loved the subtle flavors. Everyone was so nice and the atmosphere was a delightful mix of old school pub/English castle. All of it was just what I was hoping to find. Food off the beaten path that deserves a huge shout out. In a town of bland flavors, this place shines like a real gem!

My husband ordered his med rare, which probably came out more med and not enough pink for his liking. Being early January a parking spot nearby was an easy find, I imagine though finding one come spring will feel like a miracle. I'd love to stay at the attached hotel but found it's already booked a year out. Doesn't surprise me, the old English charm with its stone and dark wood is straight up story book.
