We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Flaming Margaritas. The food arrived cold and was mediocre at best, especially considering the prices. The service was practically nonexistent from start to finish. The worst part was the appetizer arriving 35 minutes after our meals were already served. When we mentioned it, the staff acted like that was completely normal and didn't seem concerned at all. By that point, we were already finished eating. Service was kind of slow , our waiter was really sweet and kept apologizing for the delay . The beef tacos weren't the best in my opinion , my daughter's fries with her chicken tenders were WAY SALTY . My son ordered the loaded fries with beef he said they were good but kind of salty . The drink was really good i ordered the blue cotton candy flaming margarita . When we walked in the floor was super dirty and it was only 2 parties eating they were quick to clean up the floor after we sat down but we weren't expecting to see a floor that dirty walking in. Following a long day of go-kart riding, we headed to Flaming Margaritas, known for their distinctive Flaming Margaritas and tapas. Our meal began with chips and salsa, accompanied by my Blackberry Flaming Margarita and Tim's Watermelon Flaming Margarita. Jairo got a regular flaming margarita. Our entrées were chimichangas with rice and beans, my black beans were cold, and my rice was cold, shrimp Alfredo, mac & cheese, steak street tacos the sizzling tapas and creative cocktails were notable, yet our experience was merely adequate. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the service was disappointing due to the server's apparent reluctance, demonstrated by his eye-rolling and heavy sighs when ask if he could bring Eleanor a spoon. He also delivered the drinks to the wrong patrons, further detracting from our experience. Despite these issues, we had an okay time. Given the alternative location in downtown Branson, I suspect it might have offered a better experience. I really wanted this to be a fun place but for the price for two people to flaming margaritas and entrée for $102 not worth it. I really do hate to leave bad reviews. read more

The shrimp were good. Oddly enough the margaritas were not. The staff were friendly. Decor was typical. I'd get the shrimp again.

From the time of entering into the restaurant to leaving the service was horrible. The lady who sat us was super unfriendly and the waiter who served us messed up our drinks and then seemed bothered that we asked him to fix it. We went in thinking it was Mexican food and while they did have a few items on the menu that were "Mexican" the menu was all over the place. When we paid (cash) our total was given to us without an itemized receipt. We were shorted change and due to the horrendous service we decided to just leave it and exit. The food was cold and the service terrible! The My flaming drink had a fly commit suicide and the server thought that was a mistake for the fly, but nothing was done to correct it. The guacamole we ordered came after our meal. The food came first and was cold. The server disappeared and we had to search to finally pay a full price meal. Ouch, not so hot. Black beans that came out with the chicken fajitas were grey from being cold with unmelted lard. The chicken was dry and not far from being jerky. Best part of the meal was the server. The margarita was decent, but couldn't make up for the poor quality meal. The chips were also greasy and soggy without crunch. I might give this a higher review rating if we had only been going for the margaritas but for the price the margaritas were just ok, nothing special so maybe not. The food was not great. Salsa and taco meat had strange tastes. If you're going thinking it's a Mexican restaurant it really isn't. It's on us I guess for thinking it was. The service was really the only redeeming aspect. Flaming Margaritas is really fun, and the food is fantastic too! Service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. I almost elected for a different drink, but thought *when in Rome* and got a margarita. Glad I did! The flaming gimmick is fun and the margarita itself was tasty. Beware: even the "medium" is quite large, but the servers can likely show you each size. We returned to eat at what we thought was a Mexican restaurant only to find that the establishment was under new ownership. Mexican cuisine was very limited and overall overpriced for the portions. The food was bland and needed additional seasoning. In additiion, we wanted chips and salsa which generally is complementary but here not so, so we ordered queso instead. Enjoyed the food, service was great. Doesn't look like much from the outside of the building, we thought it might be closed because you can't see in the windows, but it's worth the visit. Normally I would not go for a flaming margarita, that's just not my style. But my wife and I were having a special and sadly rare night out as we have little ones. Our experience was top notch. The margarita was a bit expensive but absolutely worth it. Presentation was excellent and the drink was perfect. We had several tapas plates, they were all excellent. We had the patatas bravas, chicken and waffles (best I've ever had) and sliders. The sliders were a bit overcooked but this was not enough to put a damper on the meal. First of all our waiter took a long time to get to us and we were not given menus. The place was not that busy. But No worries at that time. We finally got our menus and decided to get a margarita. We just wanted regular margaritas--no flame necessary. He asked us what size. We thought okay we said medium. We noticed on the menu it said +13. But because there was no base price listed we assumed it was $13 each. Keep in mind we never said we wanted a flaming margarita. Our waiter never explained pricing. The margaritas came out flaming. We then thought I guess that's all they have. $13 was a bit pricy but we thought okay. But then we got the bill we found out they were $28 each!!!!!! WTF!!! Walking in, we were overwhelmed by the fun and vibrant atmosphere. The host seated us immediately and we saw several flaming margaritas on our way to our table. The menu offered a couple dozen margarita flavors and I chose the Chili Mango. It was a beautiful and yummy slightly thick drink. I ordered the Mojarra Fish, which was served crispy fried with fluffy rice and cheese-topped broccoli. It was an authentic experience--be sure to flip it over and enjoy both sides. My husband said the Ground beef tacos were filling, but a little salty for his taste. The service was attentive and engaging. We'll be back with friends next time we're in town. read more

So, I have to say that while it was fun to get my drink on fire.. all in all the experience was a little off and weird. I WILL say that the food was excellent! We got the chimichanga and it was super flavorful and the meat was super moist. So, no complaints there! Now for the awkward.. the atmosphere is just weird... the servers are all dressed black tie, but the restaurant has a typical Mexican restaurant vibe.. but wait.. there's also a disco ball.. and a TV running ads of some sort for the restaurant. And for the bad. The server acted like he was annoyed we were there in his section, and the margaritas are SUPER expensive. And they are fun because you can create your own flavor mixes (I got strawberry kiwi, but couldnt taste a ything but strawberry, so who knows what i actually got) We got the mediums ($30 a piece) because they make a big deal of how you can take it to go, but we woke up the next morning with major headaches (and we only drank about 1/4 of each one) so, thinking that they're not worth the cost because they had to have been made with super cheap tequila. We visit Branson often, have seen this restaurant and always said we need to try it. We got there and it seemed very busy. This week has been one of the busiest times we've seen Branson recently. Lots of large parties everywhere. We decided to go in and try it. We were seated immediately. It is an older remodeled restaurant. It is HOT in Branson right now, but it was very comfortable in the restaurant. Even with hot food and lots of people; it was comfortable. It did take a bit to get our drink order, but there were multiple parties seated at the same time, so no big deal. We ordered and then waited a long time for our food. We finally asked who happened to be the owner, if we could just pay for the questioner ordered and cancel the rest. He came right over, asked for a couple minutes. He came back with our food, apparently there was a mix up with our food ticket. He immediately said, there would be no charge, but he wanted us to get dinner. He was very kind and apologetic. So, even though it wasn't the best experience, he took care of it, and turned it into a better situation. No excuses, just apologized and fixed it. That was great customer service and much appreciated. The food was good. Next time, I would get fajitas. They were cooked just right. All the food comes out in a pretty presentation. I did not try any of the flaming drinks. It was too hot, just needed lots of water. But they were fun to see all around the restaurant. You can feel the owner cares about his restaurant and his patrons. I would suggest visiting this restaurant next time you visit. I'm sure there is something you would enjoy. read more

Was in the mood for Mexican food on my trip to Branson and this place was less than 3 miles from our hotel. The dining area has a very open floor plan so not very intimate but still nice. The prices on the menu were a wide range from reasonable to pretty expensive and I noticed no price was listed for the margaritas. I ordered a medium pineapple coconut margarita and it was BIG not sure much actually tequila was in it since it tasted like juice, I couldn't even finish it but they allow you to take it home in a to go container. It looked cool cause when it's brought out it's on fire! But beware this margarita was $27.99! The chips were not my favorite they were thick and maybe a little stale and the salsa reminded me of marinara mixed with salsa. Their hot salsa was pretty good and I liked it mixed with the other. The grilled chicken chimichanga was ok, nothing special but my burrito bowl was DELICIOUS! The steak was so juicy and flavorful, the rice and beans were perfect, the pico tasted fresh and the guacamole was good too. Our server was really nice and he was helpful with suggestions and seemed to care that we enjoyed ourselves. I will definitely come back for the burrito bowl and the service was good. Maybe I set my expectations too high considering the raving reviews but I was not impressed with the food considering the prices. The flaming sugar cube is a neat trick and cool draw to the restaurant but the margarita also fell flat for me. It just didn't taste fresh and their small is 20 oz...way more than I can drink. And they are filled super full so that they're spilling everywhere coming to the table. Service however was great - our waitress was very patient with us as we chose what to order. The prices are high, but well worth the flavor in these margaritas. The presentation was spot on with the flaming sugar cube orange boat and the flavor matched its appeal. The outdoor tables have little fire places so you can enjoy a warm meal by the river on cold nights. It was open and there were seats open! The night started with me wanting a draft beer, but because the name of this establishment, I couldn't pass on a having Flaming Margarita! There's a couple dozen flavors to choose and I went with Passion Fruit. When it arrived, sure enough, it was flaming! Your margarita has three size options; I went with the smallest, which was fine. Could have gone up a size to be toasty. Then there's the huge size which is probably ideal for sharing. We were asked if we want a small, medium, or large margarita - there's no sizes or prices listed on the menu. The server told us we can take home what we don't finish. We look at each other, shrugged, and said large. Out comes the biggest drinks I've ever seen, another reviewer said they were 60oz and I believe it. We had the passion fruit and watermelon ones and they were both delicious. Moving onto the queso, it's a must order. I don't know if it was the margaritas or if it is truly just the best queso of my life. Next, I'm full by the way, is the beef chimichanga. I died. This was sent from heaven. Just slather me in this queso, ok? This was such a delicious meal. We had to take home four large cups of the leftover margs and the chimi but they hit the spot the next day. Our waiter was very attentive, we started off with margaritas and queso. We ordered medium margs and they were huge! (40oz) I got blood orange and my husband got a traditional. We substituted tequila for vodka and they were AMAZING! For our entrees I ordered the birria quesadilla and my husband got the birria chimichanga...OMG... that was the BEST birria we have ever had! The meat was tender and moist and the flavor was out of this world! The portions were large and they did not skimp out on the meat! We ate until we were about to explode haha! Our waited then brought us complimentary tequila shots, served with a tamarind rim and spoon of whipped cream for a chaser. I will never take a tequila shot any other way! Amazing!
