My wife and I stopped here on a Tuesday afternoon after hiking. You order at the counter and then get a buzzer that alerts you when your food is ready. There was one person working the counter during lunch hour. Not a huge deal, but there were a few in front of us with more complicated orders. The inside is kind of like a generic cafeteria. Not a lot of decor and not very welcoming... just kind of odd. I got the hummus sandwich with pasta salad. The food was just kind of mid. The hummus was good, but the sandwich didn't have many veggies on it and the pasta salad was very bland. The restrooms here were also kind of grungy. Overall, it was just a very average place with odd vibes. Nothing particularly wrong with it, but I probably wouldn't return unless going with a group who wanted to try it. One good thing is that they do have plenty of vegetarian options and a gluten free menu (you have to inquire about that). read more

I'm always searching for good place to eat in Branson. Seems I'm there on Sundays mostly so sometimes it's hard to find places that are open, like Vasken's. It's an order at the counter and they give you a buzzer when the meal is ready to pick up at the counter. The eating area was much bigger than it looked from the outside. Eating area was a little bit dirty with some tables still needing to be cleared or wiped off but not bad. Food choices were great. I absolutely loved the gyro! It was stuffed very full of meat! The sauce was great too. I got the potatoe salad as my side. Sides are very small that are included with the sandwich so if you're hungry get chips or an additional appetizer or side dish. Staff was friendly. Temperature inside the restaurant was nice. I love gyros so I'll definitely return. read more

Where to start? We loved Vasken's Deli! The man working behind the counter was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu. I was excited to try the shawarma, but then I spotted the pastrami, so we got both and shared them with sides of potato salad and pasta salad. The shawarma was good, served in a nice soft pita, but I loved the pastrami! It was so flavorful and I would definitely order a whole for myself next time. Of the two sides I preferred the potato salad. Also, this restaurant was so clean and inviting inside and there was no wait whatsoever, which is a far cry from most of the spots we visited in Branson. This is our 2nd time to Branson from California. We found this place last time and returned again after rediscovering that our palette doesnt match the local cuisine. It's a solid safe option. The Schwarma pita was different than what I expected....more like straight up brisket...but was very good and high quality. My wife was happy with the famous gyro. It's not authentic Greek per se...but quality. The menu has a lot of options. We'll likely return again on this same trip and definitely return when we come back to Branson. read more

I really wouldn't suggest this location based on environment, style, originality, location or accessibility. Walking into a building that was hard to find, a grand open fairly ugly modern grey decoration with some semblance on where to go to try to read a crowded menu that also didn't say what was in any item, realizing that they didn't have falafel in a gyro and also not letting me do it. All of these qualities could be solved, along with their broken table we were sitting at. We also had to get our own drinks and walk up and get our own food instead of being delivered. I advice this business from pearly a customer viewpoint to save money by moving to a smaller location, find some originality in their name, make it appealing and welcoming both inside and outside with good seating to really help them out. Had an excellent time here the other day. Tried a reuben with light sauerkraut, and my wife had a garlic chicken sandwich with potato salad on the side, we also had some pistachio baklava, truffles and sweets to take home for later. The Reuben was excellent along with my wife's sandwich and potato salad, was good enough that we seriously considered ditching previous lunch plans and just going back. Nice restaurant off the beaten tourist path. It is located in a strip mall. The workers were friendly and the food tasted good. We had the famous gyro and chips. My husband wasn't real fond of the spice on the gyro. I thought the gyro tasted good. The gyro is not your standard gyro with Tzatziki sauce. It is a little different but very good. Our son got the Turkey and Cheese Sandwich with chips. Everything was served hot and fresh tasting. We also got some truffles. Those were good, too! I do recommend this restaurant. I moved here from California. I miss my gyro place and decided to give this a try on my lunch break. I ordered online and received a text very shortly thereafter letting me know that my order was ready for pickup. The ambiance was relaxing and joyful - I will definitely be coming back to dine in sometime soon! I ordered a gyro and it came with a small side of pasta salad. The gyro itself is so filling, so the small amount was the perfect size for a pre-lunch appetizer. The flavor was perfect - not too bold and not too bland. The gyro was incredible! The meat was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. The tomatoes, lettuce, and onions added a nice, fresh taste and crunch, and the pita bread was soft and easy to chew. I had written a note in special instructions that said, "I can't wait to try this!" And the manager sweetly tucked a truffle into my to-go bag, which I didn't see until I got back to work. This was one of the best sandwich shops we've been to in a while! I got had the spicy hot ham and cheese gyro which was delicious. My wife had the Reuben which was also good. We waited 30 mins for our order of two gyros. You could tell we weren't the only ones wondering what the heck was taking so long! While we all went right after a busy lunch time-which a restaurant like that should be used to and prepared for-the only explanation was "the kitchen is backed up". There was no apology or while ordering, no warning that the wait for our food may be longer than usual. To add salt to wound, when the food was ready it was barely warm. Definitely recommend. After spending a long weekend in Branson, eating bad-for-us and gluttonous food lol, we found this place. Fresh food and oh so refreshing. We ordered the vegetarian pizza, sampler combo, the Vasken famous gyro and the Schwarma gyro. The hummus and baba ganoush on the sampler combo - is one of the best we've had. The baba ganoush, is identical to a friending ours, whose baba ganoush is authentic and the real deal. We ordered 2 to go, it was that good! The hummus was very good!! The tzasiki dip was also good. Definitely liked it, but it was thicker than we are used to. Not bad, just different. We still ate it with no complaints! The tahini dip was SO good!! The grapes leaves were very good! And the feta cheese and tomatoes - hit the spot for the fresh and light meal we were looking for. The falafels on the sampler, were good. I loved the thin, light outside crust. And the taste was very flavorful. They were a little dry, but all the more reason to dip in the hummus, tzasiki, tahini or baba ganoush! The vegetarian pizza was very good!! And actually surprised us at how well it tasted! Would definitely order again! And it's a great option for vegetarians. The famous gyro, was VERY good. Loved it and would definitely order again. Our only regret was the Schwarma. It was good, but it does have cinnamon in it, and for us (my husband and me) we can't stand cinnamon in our meat. But it is not overwhelming. We personally don't like it. So for that reason, I have to say this was the only disappointing dish. But only because of our personal tastes/preferences - nothing to do with the dish, itself! The only reason I'm not leaving a 1 (or zero, if possible) star is I try not to be a @&$#. I placed on online order this morning for an 11:45 pickup. Fairly large order with a reasonable tip. Well, I got there at 11:58 to an empty parking lot. I called the number given for curbside pickup. No answer. Yes, there was bad weather yesterday, and more predicted for today. I get it. But maybe shut down on line ordering (they did yesterday), or at least monitor it so a simple phone call could have c been made. I'd have been very understanding. Wasted time. Wasted gas. And I let down a group of people, but I came up with a quick Plan B. I will call tomorrow for an explanation of their failure to make contact. At least the charge is still in "pending " status.
