We really like LongHorn Steakhouse, so unfortunately this visit was a huge disappointment. The steak was chewy, stale, and had a spongey texture. We asked our waitress about the non-alcoholic beer selection, but she never came back with an answer and seemed to forget that we had asked. We asked for a manager, and Gabe came over to speak with us. Unfortunately, we did not find the manager very friendly or welcoming during the conversation. We explained our concerns and mentioned that, in our experience, Texas Roadhouse has a better steak -- it was more properly seasoned and tasted much better. They offered to replace the steak, which we appreciated, but at that point we had lost our appetite and declined. We ended up leaving. We genuinely enjoy LongHorn Steakhouse here in Branson, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I was Verbally told when calling politely asking to know if I was allowed to place any order or if I was even able to eat if I was asking for a small bite closer to closing got off of a phone call with somebody that told me that they were able to still serve as long as I was there presently before 11:00 PM and I arrived one minute later at 10:52 and had somebody immediately lock the door as I was walking up to the door would not respond to any knocking, and I had to call that same phone number back up, and I spoke with the general manager under the name of Gabriel and explain what I just was told after I got up and drove over to this location quite literally two minutes later and was told that sorry our clock says 11 and we closed even though I shared with him I was quite literally with a call log a ago. Very displeasing understanding it's late to call and to be told verbally to make me drive over here now. Do not have the ability to eat anything because I spent my last moment trying to have everybody to eat something nice after a long day at work and to be told from the general manager that his clock says 11 when I quite literally asked him if he had a phone to check the time on his phone and he wouldn't respond to me. Shows you the intent in the interest of wanting to serve that is famously known for its quality and for its courtesy. Even with having their court, courtesy to originally call just to simply ask before driving over here or to ask them to keep the kitchen open late. I wouldn't recommend trusting food to arrive anymore rush towards the end of the night then I would assume that they would close the doors early even after telling someone to show up. read more

I have worked for longhorn in the past and I know there cooking methods, I ordered a outlaw ribeye tonight and the first time you came to the table itwasn't cooked properly so the manager came out and recognized that it had a lot of gristle on it after being cooked a second time had the kitchen put on another outlaw ribeye and when it came out still full of gristle not really a good steak or experience at all. Our experience from the moment we walked in was so so we had went to other restaurants and there were an hour hour and a half waits longhorn had no wait now I see why come on folks get it together!! read more

My wife and I had dinner at the LongHorn Steakhouse this evening in Branson, MO. We are here in the off season. I know things can be different during busy season. Seating was quick and our server was excellent and social. Now the meal. What do you order from a steakhouse? No brainer...steak. My NY Strip steak was cooked exactly like I ordered. My wife had the Lemon Garlic Chicken. We split the dishes. Tonight they both were delicious. Mixed salads were very tasty. I have read about inconsistency but not tonight. Cheers to Tamra our server. Hmm. This service here was not good, the waitress staff and another table were gossiping about the amount of food my family and I were ordering, which I did not appreciate. We ordered the Parmesan fries in addition to our entrees... Anyway I got the Parmesan crusted chicken and it was so good - very well seasoned and cooked. Longhorn Steakhouse on the Strip in Branson! The food was great and my wife's chicken with cheese was fantastic! My 'medium' steak was a quite under cooked but was much better after we warmed up my leftovers . The service was fantastic, unfortunately I can't remember our Mexican waitress' name but she was great ! The restaurant was clean, well maintained and well lit . I ordered a well-done cheeseburger and was served a burger that was medium to medium-rare. Since it was not cooked as ordered, I sent it back. Instead of preparing a fresh burger, the kitchen simply put the same burger back on the grill, overcooked it to the point of being burnt, and then served it back to me. What was even more disappointing was the manager's response. When I questioned why a fresh burger wasn't made after the restaurant failed to cook it correctly the first time, I was told that their protocol is to put the same meat back on the grill. I was honestly shocked that I had to argue over a mistake that wasn't mine. The more I think about it, the more grossed out i am. The idea of taking food that has already been served to a customer, bringing it back into the kitchen, and placing it on the grill alongside other customers' meals raises serious concerns about food handling and sanitation practices. The entire experience was frustrating, unappetizing, and handled very poorly. Mistakes happen, but the way this situation was addressed by management left me not only disappointed but also grossed out. Next time you eat here just think your food could be cooked next to someones already eaten food. read more

My wife and I go to Longhorn Steakhouse semi-regularly. Through the years we have always enjoyed the good food and atmosphere. We've always had great wait staff and the food was always good. However, our last 2 times, the ribeye steak was gristly. When I mentioned it to the wait staff she said, yeah, I've heard that before. Mother's Day dinner in Branson. Tamara was our server and she was perfect- friendly, helpful, attentive, and fun. We had rib eye steaks- husband ordered 20 oz Outlaw and I had 12 oz rib eye. Mine was a great medium rare and his was a great medium. Very tasty. Broccoli and loaded baked potatoes- all delicious. Tamara kept the bread tray full and same with our water glasses. We shared one (huge) serving of strawberry shortcake and it too was fantastic. This was a wonderful meal and, as a server can do, Tamara made it very special. Omg! Best meal in Branson by far! I've been coming here at least three times a year for about a decade and have never really been pleased with the food here. After a few bad meals we decided to go to a chain restaurant and it was the best decision we made yet regarding food. I had the New York Strip it was so juicy and tender. I upgraded to the strawberry pecan salad. It had other fruits including grapes and mandarin as well. It had a really good flavor. My husband had the 8oz sirloin the next part is his review "it was made perfectly medium rare. Really good perfect". The best part though? Our waitress Cassie (not sure how it's spelled) she had glasses and black hair. She was amazing and was on top of everything the whole time.
