Fantastic service from our waitress. Appetizers and entrees were excellent! The ribs and rib tips were so tasty and just perfect. The baked potato was fluffy. We really enjoyed the corn muffin.....consistency and sweetness were very good. The only complaint we had was the blinds (we sat in a table booth next to a window) definitely need a good cleaning. Ironically, on our way to Branson, we were talking about a restaurant we had stopped going to because the blinds were so filthy. I definitely would not put this into that category, but they need a good cleaning. Very gross to sit next to dirty blinds while eating. This is the only reason I am deducting 1 star! read more

We came to dine here this evening because we were vacationing here. We lost our Famous Dave's location in our hometown several years ago, which also prompted us to choose this place tonight. When we walked in, you could tell the environment was welcoming. Our server, Famous Michelle, was amazing! She was patient and overall a nice person. We are originally from California & not over the moon for BBQ food. Our incentive for first going was a promotional discount. Now I can't wait to return. So much was exceptionally wonderful: chicken just outstanding, coleslaw, beans, cornbread just truly exceptional. I thought ribs were fine & was surprised to like chicken even more. Came the first time, couldn't wait 30 minutes wait time. Came the next day, still 30 minute wait time. Decided to wait. I was in the mood for bbq. Friendly, got us our appetizer which was the salmon spread. It was a meal to it self. Lots of chunks of salmon, creamy and rich, the toast was delicious . Just arrived restaurant is closing soon. We hangry and trying to get some hot food. We walked in the establishment and asked for to go menu and was escorted outside (by staff) to the to go window! I was surprised to walk back outside on the other side of store. It's really a outside walk up window and the menu is clearly lit up for you to place order. I'm only giving 3 stars as we are waiting for the food at the moment. When I take a moment to eat I'll let you know if it's better than 3 stars. They also offer a 10% military discount which is nice. We order the pick 3 combo as in pick three meats (barbecue chicken, chopped pork, catfish) 2 sides and cornbread. I'm so hoping it's good so I can come back and give them 5 stars.. I'll let you know. One of the best experiences I have ever had at any restaurant! Ingrid was a spectacular waitress who offered samples of several items and made us feel at home like we were at a country diner. Daks at the front desk was so friendly and loves everything on the menu! The manager came by several times to check on us. This was our first time at Famous Dave's and I couldn't have expected such a wonderfully memorable time. I liked the sunny environment with comfortable booths and windows everywhere. The cornbread muffins were really great and the wings and BBQ sauce were good enough to come back for. You can get good food just about anywhere but you can't get good service like we had today. This is my favorite restaurant here in Branson, every-time I've visited, Famous Dave's has been a go to, serving come back plates, from the meats, to sides, sauces, & those pickles!! We came at the last hour of service for dinner, Sydney was our server, and really went above and beyond waitressing. She had the best spirit and attitude and made us feel like we were her 1st guest, and not that last table. She was so informative and excited as she talked about the menu, and recipes. Food was sooo good I absolutely love the Mac n cheese it has jalapeños and corn in it, so very uncommon, but unique and good asf , definitely a must try. The beans are soo good and flavor on point. I tried the loaded potato with pork. It was good but not a-lot of meat tho! They had pink pig hats for the kids to color and keep them busy. Our group of 31 dined at the BBQ restaurant for lunch. I was excited because the name of the restaurant included the word "Famous". Love BBQ so was curious about this Missouri restaurant. The fries they came with were potato wedges and were excellent. I had the chili, it was just enough spice to make me love it. They brought the food to us with utensils and condiments. Ribs and brisket were cooked well. Not a fan of the barbecue sauce they put on the meat. I think it was Sweet and Sassy. Had a lot of sweet very little sass. The 2 meat lunch combo came with a slice bread and a "cornbread " muffin. I have had cornbread many times in my life. I make my own gluten free cornbread for my wife and I. Their muffin was more dessert cupcake. My mom liked them a lot, but she also said immediately after tasting it that it wasn't cornbread. The server was nice and helpful. When I arrived home, I discovered a side salad and a dinner salad with pulled pork were missing. Called up. Offered to come back and get. Couldn't. 30 minutes each way. Spoke them to Mgr Becky. Very kind, professional and apologetic. Offered to adjust debit card bill and send out a gift card. So far, debit card at full amount (from pending to actual transaction). This was our second choice for barbecue on a Monday night as we wanted to get some local flavored dinner but the first place closed at 8 so we headed to Famous Dave's (a chain). We were seated promptly and had plenty of space, we ended up settling for a booth near a set of tables worth chairs since we were 15 people in the group (including 2 babies). We got drink orders in and food as well. The sodas, beer and mixed drinks all came out right and cold. Our food was more than enough and had great flavor. The waitress checked in a couple times before we closed the place down. Everyone enjoyed the meal and we took a couple to go boxes.one thing that impressed me was how easily the waitress agreed to split our check among the 4 families. There is a lunch special of a pulled pork sandwich which 3 people in our group got and they all enjoyed it. I got a baked potato with pulled pork on top and I really liked it. There are 5 different BBQ sauces on the table so you can experiment with different flavors. The server did a good job of explaining them while he drew a dragonfly of BBQ sauce on a plate for us to use to dip some provided chips. Very cute. There were tons of empty seats and they said the kitchen was backed up and that's why we weren't being seated. Then they sat 20+ people at once when the kitchen opened up but that then SLAMMED the kitchen again.
