The pulled pork and brisket was great. Best corn bread I've had in a long time!! The sides were delicious too. I had the mac and cheese, baked beans and potato salad. The service was great as well. We tried a few of the bbq sauces and all of them were tasty. My husband had the burnt ends sandwich and he said it was next level good! The portions were so good we now have left overs. We might be back before we head home. So far this has been our favorite place by far on our trip. read more

Delicious bbq from a crew of guys that make you feel like an old friend. Doesn't get better.

So this was MY first visit to Pop's Smoke Shack. A couple weeks ago however, I did send someone to Pop's to get some burnt ends to put into My wife's special BBQ Beans and the owner was offended we were planning to chop them into little pieces for the beans. I could understand because they were damn good. So good I decided to go in this time and order some rib ribs. He was doing baby backs, but I gotta tell you these were the biggest meatiest baby bags I have ever seen and they were fall off the bone tender. You could tell they had been smoked for hours because they were pink in the middle at the even though they were fall off the bone tender. He does not sauce his ribs. They have a nice rub on them, and then he has half a dozen homemade sauces to choose from that are delicious. Sorry I didn't think about doing a review and taking pictures until I was halfway in, but they were amazing and deserved a five star rating. For sides we had carrots and a whiskey, honey with baked beans, which were very nice. The green beans were OK a little soft for my taste, but it was the end of the night so I guess I could understand. We were already planning for next time when guests are coming down to get two racks and some burnt ends. May have to try the wings next time too. I definitely prefer and recommend Pop's Smoke Shack vs. Dana's anytime. Haven't tried the other local spots cause we "Q" pretty well ourselves when down. But Pops is definitely worth a visit when in Branson West. read more

Headed to pops on a Saturday at 5:30 for dinner based upon the good reviews. Got there and while it was open there wasn't a single customer. Decided to pass it up and continued on to Dana's where we had a great meal. read more

Pops Smoke Shack was really yummy and the customer service was wonderful. We met Pop and his son who were very personable. It's wonderful to support small business. The pulled pork sandwich was really good. I also tasted the brisket which was also really good. Wasn't a huge fan of fan of the sides but I appreciate the uniqueness of them. I'd come back if I was in the area! read more

Pop's Smoke Shack - Pulled Pork Sandwich with Macaroni & Cheese and Potato Salad - Barbeque Near Me - Branson West, Missouri

I've been out of town for a couple of weeks. Got home no food in the house. My wife got a full slab of ribs at 3 PM and brought them home. These weren't just bad. They were terrible. Dried out black. Had the taste and .consistency of eating a 2 x 4.. Stay away from Pops . There are much better options . read more

Both the guys working there were so nice and friendly, while the food was amazing! I had the 2 meat plate with burnt ends and chicken, while my fiancée had the pulled pork and brisket. We are from the Kansas City metro so we've had a lot of bbq and I can honestly say theirs is top tier quality. They don't sleep on the sides or sauces either! We shared our sides to maximize options: the Mac n cheese was well spiced and flavorful. The same can be said for the potato salad. The cucumbers n onions were so refreshing and the green beans were so flavorful. We also tried multiple of the in house made sauces. The sweet mustard sauce and the garlic sauce were perfect on the chicken, while their shake sauce ( original) was delicious on anything. I liked the peach bourbon sauce but it is strong to warn you. All in all, great meal to end a vacation day and worth coming back for more. read more

Overall 4.3*. Kendall does a great job and has the best bbq meats and sides. We recommend the brisket, beef ribs, mac n cheese, and Kelly beans but have honestly loved all the smoked meats. read more

Pop's is the best around. We stopped here and tried a big sampler and it was all phenomenal - plus the service was great. We will be back!

Absolutely amazing! The meat was incredible and the sides were amazing!! Get the cheesecake!! We would highly recommend anyone to come to this Bbq place!!!! read more

The barbecue was good. It was our first time to try it. Just be aware that the menu on yelp is very outdated. The pricing is very outdated you might wanna call to confirm pricing or go to their Facebook page before ordering read more

I had the opportunity to dine on Super Bowl Sunday at Pop's Smoke Shack. My friend, who lives in NWA with me, is a huge fan of Pop's and invited my husband and I to go. Pop's had all the brats, hotdogs, wings & chili you could eat for $10 per person. This price also included soda or tea and desserts. I really like this place! The meat was exceptionally good. I am a firm believer that really good smoked meat does not need barbecue. It is ok if you want to put a little barbecue on smoke meat, but the smoked meat should be good enough that it doesn't need it. Pop's wings were incredible. I ate 5-6 and never put one drip of sauce on them! The brats and chili were good too! I can't wait to go back and eat off the regular menu! I also really do want to try their sauces. They had some interesting flavors. What I loved most about Pop's Smoke Shack was the service. This is a family owned business, and they make you feel like you are a part of their family! Super good people! I looked through their menu and their food & drink prices were very reasonable. I can't wait to go back! read more

We are new to the area and would pass by Pop's Smoke Shack several times a week while checking out different places to eat. Finally stopped in a few weeks ago and wow! We found our favorite restaurant and it's Pop's. The food is amazing and the meals are perfectly proportioned. I love the brisket and hubby loves the pulled pork. All the sides are yummy but the Kellybeans are fantastic. The pricing was reasonable and the service...well we haven't found better service anywhere. They make you feel at home and welcomed. Pop's is now our go to place. If we didn't already have enough reasons to move from Texas, Pop's is another one. Bbq better than Texas and that's saying a lot from former Texans. read more

Oh my gosh!!!! If we could give them a perfect "10" we absolutely would!! We ordered the Party Pack, 4 meats, 4 large sides, cornbread, and wow!! Mac n cheese is the bomb! Coleslaw is the best we've had in a restaurant, burnt end were fixed perfectly, and you must try one of their flavored margaritas!!! Our new favorite BBQ joint in all of Branson! read more

Our cousin recommended this place. THANK YOU, cousin!!! Sat outside and enjoyed the live music, the view of the water, and the food. Oh the food. The smoked meats, the sides, the cornbread. I am really not a sauce person, I like the taste of the smoke on the meat. But, adventure ran through my tastebuds and I tried 4 sauces. They had others but I was so happy with what I had I had no desire for others. Outstanding service! And they said they were short staffed. Not a single complaint!!! We will be back. read more

We stopped to pick up food on our way back from the lake. This place is small, and quaint but the food bursts with flavor. Excellent barbecue and the sides are amazing! Unlike any I've ever had. The owners are so accommodating and friendly! The service is quick and efficient. I highly recommend! read more

The turkey was perfectly smoked and juicy! Delicious dressing and sides were all wonderful! Highly recommend! We look forward to other meals there in the future. The beef, ham, and everything was great. The rolls were amazing. read more

First time, but had heard great things. We decided to give it a try. I travel for work and I have eaten BBQ countless times, all over the US. I got the three meat sampler with ribs, pork, and brisket. I heard them say I got the last order of brisket, and I believe it...it was fatty remnants. The ribs were solid and so was the chicken. The sides were of good size and pretty good. The cheesecake was fabulous! I will definitely try it again! read more

Pop's Smoke Shack was recommended to us. We are visitors to the area. Honestly, we were having a tough time finding great food. On our last day in town we found Pop's. The food is great. The pork ribs are really good and the service is very down home genuine. What a great place. I should also mention the sides. We had mac-n-cheese and beans. They were great as well. Give them a try!! Great food. read more

The BBQ is fantastic here. You have to try the Mac and Cheese; it's the best around. The owner and staff are always friendly. I never had bad service or food from Pop's Smoke Shack--a great place to eat. read more

My husband got our order to go and brought it home. The food smelled good but the meat tasted like lighter fluid, especially the burnt ends. They put cucumber in the coleslaw. The Mac n cheese was beyond weird and don't even get me started on the potato salad! Being so close to Dana's Barbecue you'd think they would try a little harder. We spent $130 on piss poor food and that pisses me off. The only thing I enjoyed were the corn muffins. If you like subpar quality then knock yourself out, just save yourself the trouble and go to Dana's or Gettin Basted! read more

The best BBQ and nicest family! Everything is always delicious!!! They have great cheesecake too :)

Excellent BBQ meats. Their pastrami Ruben sandwich is unbelievable. Pop oversees all smoking and takes pride in his craft. Prices are very reasonable. Their location is excellent with an outdoor patio overlooking the lake and bridge. Service is a little lacking, but with one person at the order/cash register it's understandable. They just received their liquor license. read more

Pops has some of the tastiest barbeque I've ever tasted! I had the one meat platter which comes with 3 sides and a corn muffin. I chose the brisket which was tender and delicious. Pops has a variety of sauces but the meat has such good flavor, sauces aren't required. I ate 1/3 of the brisket before I thought to take the picture...you get a generous serving. I chose the beans, potato salad and Mac and cheese for my sides. They were all delicious! Then I got a slice of one of their incredible cheese cakes to take home for later. Great meal for a decent price! The place is small but has nice outdoor seating as well. The folks there could not possibly be more friendly and welcoming! It is worth the trip to Branson West to check out Pops Smoke Shack! read more

Pop's Smoke Shack - a tray of food - Barbeque Near Me - Branson West, Missouri

Pop's Smoke Shack has some of the best BBQ I have found since I moved from Kansas City! I frequently get their Brisket Sandwich. Pop's does sandwiches a bit different. Instead of a bun or bread they use a warm Pita. I admit I was skeptical at first, but it's amazing. The pita holds up while eating, sauce a little or a lot, you don't have the normal messy sandwich. The brisket is tender and delicious. I highly recommend the Pulled Pork Nachos (you gotta ask for them as they are not on the menu) Their pulled pork is tender and juicy and so good just by itself. All of their sides are homemade and delicious and I feel unique. I like them all! Kelly Beans are a mixture of different beans simmered in a sauce that would be great just by itself. Regina's Coleslaw is just yummy. All of the recipes are Pop's family recipes and best of all you can tell. Their cheesecake is a must. I have called ahead, in the morning to reserve my slice as it goes fast! nothing worse then thinking about it all day to find you are too late! The flavors rotate and have never disappointed. Pops also is community oriented. From Football watch parties to the Big Game party (which was so much fun btw). To the neighbors helping neighbors wall where if you are going through tough times due to Covid19 a meal is available for you. I am so happy Pop's is here, the staff is welcoming and friendly. The rock music takes me back several years and makes dining room relaxed and enjoyable. You will not leave hungry. You will be stuffed to the brim. I highly recommend Pop's Smoke Shack and don't think you will be disappointed. read more

The food here is awesome! They provide a variety of bbq sauces which are also sold for $5.00. They had sold out of ribs (I guess that means they are good!) but we got a little of everything. The turkey was amazing with a hint of something special-clove, maybe? read more

We had read so much about this place and decided to try it out on this trip to the lake. The food was delicious and the people were so nice!!! Everything is homemade! Kimberling city local recommended this outstanding BBQ! Excellent, friendly service! I had the brisket nachos and enjoyed every bite. The smoked bbq is top quality. The sauces are divine! The beans on the nachos are really unique and special. My husband had a brisket sandwich and was very pleased. He raved about the green beans and the cucumber and onion salad. read more

Ok BBQ. They try hard but fall short in my opinion. Who serves BBQ on Pita bread? I'm from Kansas City and the answer would be, should be no one. Average Q at best. Someplace like Watsons in Shell Knob or Campbell Point is far superior. read more

Was good once, kept going back but food is not consistent. Best Pastrami ever but the last time I ordered it, it was three slices the size of a half piece of bacon on buttered toast for almost $10. Wings have been great but the last time I ordered them, they were so tough that most of each one couldn't be eaten. My order of cucumbers and onions consisted of five thin slices of cucumbers and a few slivers of onions in a cup full of juice! They can't maintain quality or even quantity ....very low but their prices are high. Went in today and was totally ignored while the girl answered a lot of questions for a catering job. She never acknowledged me except to look up and when I said Hi, she told me she couldn't add and talk at the same time. I waited so long, I finally left. After thinking about everything that happened during that visit and my previous three, I thought I should call the Owner to let them know what I have experienced. I spoke to the daughter who was extremely rude and, come to find out, she was the very person I finally called to complain about! She was full of excuses, told me that she hopes I find a restaurant I like and hung up on me! Unbelievable treatment from an establishment in business to serve the public. None of this was a big deal to me until the daughter made it that way. It's a shame that her attitude will run off countless customers that her parents work very hard to please. These people know how to cook food but if they intend to operate a restaurant, they need to get their act together. read more

Pop's Smoke Shack has some of the best food I've ever tasted! I'm completely addicted to the pulled pork on greek pita bread. My husband, who is incredibly picky about his barbecue, loves this place as much as I do, especially the ribs. The sides are all exceptionally good, too. If we could eat this food every day, we would! The people who run Pop's also go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy. I highly recommend this place to bring family or friends or just to stop in for lunch. You won't regret it! read more

I have heard good things of this place for a long time and finally tried it. The drink prices are good and the nacho appetizer was ok. The place seems unorganized as no one greeted or told us what to do. After seating ourselves I figured out it was a wait on yourself place. When I checked out I wondered why I was leaving a good tip after I went and got my own drink and then went inside to order my food . I guess it was for the Nachos they brought to my table. read more
