Food was delicious. I saw the rating was 3.2 but it's Thanksgiving morning and just wanted to eat. We were early enough there wasn't a wait. Our waitress told us our eggs would be made correctly (apparently Tony was on eggs) so for the first time in forever, we actually got eggs over medium without runny whites. Bacon was great. French toast equally good. There was a limited menu so this may have impacted their food being on point today. Was a little reluctant to check this place out due to the many one and two star reviews but would agree with other positive reviews that it's a pretty standard Bob Evans experience. Food was fresh and all tasted good. The biscuits were my favorite. Service was no frills but we were in a rush and they paid heed to that. This breakfast was just a few blocks from our AirB&B and easy. We ate at 7:30 before the rush. Got served quick! After our order was taken, our waiter had 4 tables set right after us. He was so busy! The host or manager should have walked around to help fill coffee's etc. we never got offered extra napkins, ketchup, or refills. I got the mini sampler. Perfect size. Hash browns tasted like frying oil. Bacon tasted like it had been done for a while or left over from last night. Biscuit was ok. My children got mini pancake and then a side of oatmeal. Oatmeal was amazing. Pancakes were super dry. We had to drown them in syrup. Syrup flavor was different. Nobody at our table liked it. Our children just ended up eating off our plates and sharing the oatmeal. We also got French Toast and Fried chicken plate. Fried chicken tasted like rubber. Absolutely gross. French toast wasn't much better. Sausage links seemed dry and rubber. Like they cooked them early in the morning and just had them ready to serve whenever ordered instead of being fresh. Wow! I read reviews and there was a lot of negativity with one and two star ratings. I was a little nervous about going, but I am so glad that we decided to go. Be careful when you read other peoples ratings. A lot of people nitpick. Everything we ate was good. Everything we ate was hot, the biscuits were actual biscuits so they were crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The fried chicken with honey butter was absolutely incredible. That came with mashed potatoes and chicken gravy along with buttered corn. My wife got the chicken fried steak meal, which was just as good. my daughter tried the breakfast platter, bacon, egg, and cheese biscuits and loaded hashbrowns. I can't understand what everybody else was complaining about. I will definitely come back and I suggest you do as well. Always be weary of reviews when someone complains of a hard biscuit. read more

We have been here five years. The food, service, and atmosphere has deteriorated from ok to just a waste of time and money. The food is either bland or overwhelmingly sweet. It is served cold. The staff is either annoyed to be there, stretched thin, or physically unable to do the job properly. We are consistently shoved into a small family booth. There are four adults in a booth meant for parent and small children. We fit. Its however very hard with four meals to not be tight. I get that it is an after church and "cheap" option for tourists/elderly. It however is lacking in value and quality. They can do better. read more

Server was great. Food was ok. Upon checkout, we went to pay and had a $5 reward card from Bob Evans. They mistakenly over charged our card somehow - but would not void or refund the error stating that corporate would have to do it - only if we completely a form. Which again they were surprised we would want the form to complete. Then after all that we were just sitting down in our show and they callled asking us to come back so they could correct the charge. Obviously we couldn't leave our show to come back - so the charge stands and it's in corporates hands. Which basically means nothing is being resolved. read more

I placed an order over a week ago for two large holiday meals. I have stage 4 breast cancer and this is probably my last X-mas. When my s.o. picked up the order, it was not what was ordered. Instead, they gave us 5 individual holiday meals - not enough food for the 8 people needed to be fed. The portions were also exceptionally small. The manager, instead of admitting they messed up, blamed my s.o. for 'changing' the order to the individual small meals - when the 2 large family meals were literally scheduled for pick-up upon his arrival. I am livid, heartbroken and nothing she could have offered would have corrected the problem - NOT THAT ANY KIND OF SOLUTION WAS OFFERED. This place is such a cute hick place with a bunch of gnome statues. The wait to get seated was a little long, but we had a party of 8 so it was expected. They have a pretty wide selection of food so there was a lot to choose from. I ended up getting the biscuits and gravy and my friend got their french toast. Really sad business @ 2:45PM...This is our second visit. The first time we actually walked out due to no service. Thought we'd give it another chance and again we waited too long for a server. THE RESTAURANT IS EMPTY!! I had to go ask if we had a server. Tammy comes over and says, "what can I get you"-I said, "how are you", she replies, "I'm good, thank you for asking".. I was expecting for her to ask us how we were doing and apologize for our wait. Really bad service. Dinner at the Branson location was an adventure. It appeared that five staff were working with six occupied tables. Our waiter was too busy so another came to the table to take our order, then the some other employee came over to take our order yet again. Ordered biscuits and received rolls. What a disappointment. We've been several times, as locals, and it just seems like things aren't getting better. Our last visit, this morning, 1/19/20, was a let down. Granted it's off season in Branson but I would expect that would mean they have their best people working. For a Sunday morning our visit left little to be desired. Our server was very slow with service even though she seemed to be running all over. Ordering, my wife and I both commented to each other, was rushed and stressful, if that's even possible. We had a "decent enough" breakfast here. They quoted us 45 minutes to wait, but it was only 15 minutes. (Just enough time for our kids to find something they just HAD to have in the gift shop). The pancakes and biscuits were very hard and crunchy. My husbands omelet was not fluffy at all, it was rubbery and a little burned. The home fries had zero seasoning. Our waitress forgot what we were drinking and brought the wrong thing because she just guessed, and she only refilled our drinks once (and charged us $1 for the kids refills?). The price was very fair, though. I can't remember the last time the 4 of us got breakfast for under $45. read more

Told 25 min wait turned out 60 minutes, I understand it's busy and your short staffed but please give realistic wait times and there also no excuse packing people into restaurant that is short staffed as everyone suffers from staff to guests. Took a while for server to come by then a while for the coffee to come out and it was lukewarm which was disappointing, he took a while to come take our order and even longer to get a hot refill. Meal as expected took a long time, now I know everywhere is having staff shortages and it's something we have to deal with but it's really not acceptable for a business to cram people in without the staff to handle them. So meal like the coffee was lukewarm, French toast and hot cakes butter would not even melt the butter they were so cold. Bacon was nice but sausages, eggs and ham were cold. Can't prove it but I think our waitress forgot to turn in our order as there were a couple tables served that came in after us.
