If you had a list of all things that could go wrong at a restaurant, this place checked off every one. It was nearly empty at 7pm, not a good sign, but we went in anyways. No one was working up front. After standing a while someone saw us and asked if we had been helped. "No." He literally says "where the hell is everyone?" And went off to find a server. Our server seemed sweet, but after we got our food she disappeared. Literally. The food was mediocre at best. We saw them literally pour microwaved Mac n cheese out of a bag and pour it on the plate. Our fried chicken was rubbery. The vegetables were mush. Our server disappeared, we literally had to walk up to the counter and wait for someone to appear and have them figure out what our check was so we could pay. Still never saw our server emerge this entire time. Hope she didn't fall asleep somewhere in the kitchen. There was a guy Swiffer-ing the floors. Do they not mop? The floors in the dining hall were absolutely disgusting. The filthiest floors I have ever seen in a public eating establishment. I mean for god sake please teach someone how to mop and clean the floors. Place must be full of roaches at night. A swiffer is not an appropriate cleaning tool for those wooden floors. We didn't get food poisoning (at least not yet) so that's the only saving grace. Thanks for not poisoning us, I guess. read more

We have been there twice recently and both times, the wait for a table is very long and waiting for food is even longer! When we finally did get our food, is was only just warm and not hot as we would have expected. Our server was very accommodating, but we probably won't be back. read more

Service was subpar at most. If you are a vegetarian or vegan don't bother eating here. All of the meals come with some type of meat, however, they refuse to substitute the meat for anything at all. Eggs can only be substituted with egg whites. They do have hashbrowns & potatoes items, as well as fresh fruit but they won't give them to you. Instead they separate the items and charge you for each. So if a meal costs $9.99 for pancakes, sausage & eggs. You will be charged $8 for pancakes & then $3.99 for each side you add back. As far as food goes, I'd rather go to ihop or even dennys, at least they work with customers who don't eat meat. Overall this was my 1st & last time coming. read more

This is a really nice Bob Evans located right off the highway with a large dining room as well as a Cracker-Barrel style gift store you have to walk through in order to get to the eating part! I don't really care for these sort of knick-knacks and trinkets, but they must sell quite a few of them. The food at Bob's is excellent "home-style" dining. The focus here is on breakfast, but they do have a decent salad and lunch/dinner menu if that's more your craving. For me, I'm eating breakfast no matter the time of day. Don't skip the sausage gravy and biscuits. The biscuits are made fresh on site throughout the day and are always served warm. Absolutely delicious and probably only a million calories. Good coffee though the mugs seem a little small to me. Everything is available for take-out and the full menus are posted on their website. Good friendly service, excellent food. A blessed way to start a snowy Sunday We visited Branson for MLK weekend, mostly for relaxation and to see spi the new WOW / Wonders of Wildlife at Bass Pro in Springfield, MO. After celebrating Mass we tried to get back to the room, but the hillside outside the hotel was too slippery, so we changed plans and ate breakfast out. While our son was a thrilled with Krispy Kreme's, our daughter and my lovely wife wanted something more substantial, so we dined in at Bob Evans. Both got full plates, and our daughter shared her omelette with me. My wife got the coffee she needed to wait up, too. Previously the food was very good but tonight I was seated in a "lost" spot so the waitress never even came to take my drink order. A very kind woman at the next table who was waiting for her husband called the manager for me or I would not have eaten at all. The sole was not very good tonight and the broccoli was old and brown. The manager apologized profusely but nevertheless my husband had to get up on his broken foot to fetch my plate from the window for me. I could not see it but he could. It was amazing took awhile to get a table but definitely worth it I got double chocolate chip, pancakes, hashbrowns, and sausage.

First they said it would be a 15 to 20 minute wait. Ok the place is very crowded. No sitting room for customers. Parking is limited and there is a bit of a walk. I don't think they an adequate number of folks to clean off tables. Many dirty tables that customers could be seated at. The wait after we ordered has been longer than the wait to get seated. Ok the people next to us that came in way after us has already been eating for several minutes and the ones behind us. Ok finally the food came. A western omelet and hash browns. Very good. This is my first visit to a Bob Evans. Reminds me of a less cramped Cracker Barrel. I had the farmhouse burger with the buttered broccoli as my side (I know, weird combo). My hubby had the potato soup. My son had the breaded shrimp with mashed potatoes and Brown gravy and fries. We all had the candy bacon and homemade rolls. They were out of the onion petals :( The food is totally 5+ stars! The broccoli is da' bomb! The candy bacon...OMG!!!!! The main eating area was kept really clean. The reduction for stars was for a poorly kept bathroom facility. Had the bathroom been appropriately attended to, I would have rated 5 stars. I will totally eat at Bob Evans again! read more

Group of more than 10 wait time was an hour but we went out and came back and they were ready, other than that I regretted sincerely, attending this establishment. Server was unprofessional using slang a highschool student would use, she was clearly not a highschooler. She dropped many many things during our stay, and out of all the different things our group got the only meal not regretted was the chicken pot pie. Prices are out of whack too, 2 chicken tenders and fries under a kids meal were 5 dollars but the same thing under the adult menu were 16. WTF. I would waste your money elsewhere. read more

I would like to take the time to say, that this trip was fabulous. I regret not getting a picture of this beautiful lady, Mama Dot, she is the best! All staff were friendly, to spite the fact they were short staff! Food was good and I just can't express how much me and my wife enjoyed it! They are understaffed. Took almost an hour to be seated and have our order taken, only 3 of us.. We witnessed someone who looked like a manager, get mad and throw dishes in the drink area. I noticed a lot of empty tables. We sat for about 15 minutes before our drink order was taken. Our waitress came about 15 to 20 minutes later to tske orders. Our waitress was rushed, and over worked. My son like the candied bacon and French toast. My garden salad and half turkey sandwich were average . My mom liked the beef soup and roast beef sandwich. The sweet tea is good too. I wish I could put zero but I can only put one. When I went with my family we all hated it. I didn't want to go in the first place so I got grilled cheese, fries, and a thing of bacon for lunch. First of all they gave OUR bacon to a different table in a whole other room. When we finally said something the family that got it already ate it all. They brought us out the bacon which was drenched in maple syrup which we said we only wanted a little. When my meal finally came out the fries were cold. When I took a bite of grilled cheese I felt hair in my mouth which I knew wasn't mine because it was short white hair and I have long brown hair and it was in a pony tail. I didn't even bother to complain. My mother, who got potato soup didn't even like it. It smelled like cheese and looked like watered down Mac-and-cheese. My dad didn't even like his and nither did the rest of my family. 2/10 would not go to Bob Evans! read more
