My wife and I celebrated our 25th Anniversary here and have nothing but good things to say. From the concierge at the hotel with the valet parking to the front of the house as we walked in the restaurant, it was top notch. Our server Jason was absolutely amazing. He treated us fantastically. We could not have asked for better service. The food was amazing and delicious and served promptly. I took my Babe to dinner for his birthday. We both ordered a steak and baked potatoes. I also ordered carrots and a drink. The steak was thick but not ver tender. Th steak was good.. The ambience was very special. I wished I had asked for special table so I could have two roses on the table. The Hilton hotel is Gorgeous. We had valet parking. He was so nice and helpful. Dinning room had plenty of room for a party of four, got seated in the tree lounge in between the bar area and main dinning room. Mistake, our food came out cold, it was obvious the waiter forgot about us. Steaks tasted like they reheated it and let it get cold again with a nasty char sear on it. Fine dining in Branson!! We were lucky enough to have two meals here. The first was a late night bite of a wedge salad and steak soup after a horrible dinner at another restaurant. The cocktails on this visit were perfection. We had a special treat of pumpkin creme brûlée which was amazing!!! Our second meal was a proper dinner. My husband had the lobster ravioli which he said was terrific. I had the wedge salad which I loved. Our dinners were the 6oz filets. The were cooked a perfect medium rare and tasted absolutely fantastic. We added the grilled shrimp as a topper. The shrimp was terrific. We really enjoyed the Asian inspired spice rub. We also opted for a trio of sides. The garlic mash; steak fries with Parmesan cheese and the roasted Brussels sprouts. All three sides were very good. Our preference was the mash and sprouts. Next time we sub out the fries for the asparagus. We finished the meal with a pumpkin creme brûlée. It was fabulous! Total disappointment. Was not busy at all and despite not being able to make a reservation, we decided to just stop in and see if we could get a table. Turns out they were not even busy and seated us immediately. This was 7pm on a Saturday evening (7/27). At the 20-minute mark of not even being acknowledged (not even water) and seeing others get seated and getting their drink orders in, we got up and left. We were going to order a bottle of champagne, order steaks, etc. Adding that the loud, bass sounds coming from the floor below certainly did not add to the ambiance. I just want to thank the incredibly rude staff of this "high end" restaurant for pointing us out your door so we could discover the amazing mom-and-pop Tai Kitchen right down the street! (Hint, if you're in the mood for steak, forget it and grab Thai from the place with actual service instead!) OK I know you want to hear the story... We made ONE mistake. That mistake was thinking a decent-sized, well-reviewed steak place would have space on a random Thursday afternoon, so we didn't make reservations. THAT part was on us. What was NOT on us was the chef/manager sent us to the bar outside and claimed all we had to do was get a seat at one of the tables out there, no reservations necessary, and we could order from the same menu. Did I mention we were really hungry for steak? Couple that with my need to be gluten-free and I'm kinda limited on options. Back to the story... We went to said bar space and got an open high top table. OK so ALL the tables were OPEN. The bar wasn't even full, but there were no open seats next to each other, so we chose the table. I made eye contact several times with the bartender, who the manager had assured us would come to our table to take our order when she saw us. Well, she saw us. FIFTEEN minutes later and about a half-dozen people who simply walked up to the bar, talking over the people sitting there to order drinks & food... and they got it. Fifteen minutes of us STARING right at the bartender and her staff. We followed directions. We weren't told to go up to the bar and order - we were told they would send someone to us since it could be so busy. And personally, I think it's rude to lean over someone into their personal space to order. ‍ It wasn't THAT busy. And eye contact had been made, so we waited. Twenty minutes later we'd had enough and went up to the bar when two side-by-side seats opened up. I mean, we were out together as a couple. We KINDA wanted to sit next to each other. We like each other, ya know? The staff STILL ignored us. I finally waved one of them down. Hubs started to give him a bit of a hard time, especially when he said, "Oh, I saw you over there." Then the bartender girl came over and LAUGHED at us. Laughed. At. Us. Like, "Why would you be upset? It's no big deal... hahahaha" My Aries hubs got a bit hot under the collar when she did that and point-blank asked her for an explanation of their blatant ignoring of us. Her excuse? "We had customers in front of you." Um... she SAW us. KNEW we were there well before those other "customers" showed up. Ultimately we went back and told the manager we were eating elsewhere, that we'd leave them an accurate review of our experience for the world to see, and stormed out to find somewhere else to eat... and by now it's BUSY time for dinner, so we were SHOCKED when we found the most AMAZING service at a cute little Thai place called Tai Kitchen right down the street. First of all, this is supposed to be a 5-star fine dining experience and is definitely priced as such. Being from Texas it fell dismally short. It was my husband and son's birthdays which was told when making a reservation. Table had nothing on it and I noticed other tables that were celebrating had your typical fresh flowers for celebrations at nice restaurants. Ordered strip steaks, Caesar salad, tuna appetizer, crab cakes, steak soup, mashed potatoes, asparagus and brussel sprouts. Reservation at 6, did not get food until 7:10. Tuna was pretty good, especially with the pineapple salsa. Steaks were ordered medium and medium rare, they were cooked the exact same. Steak soup was actually really good, even through it took them three tries to understand my husband does not eat cheese, cream cheese, sour cream and the kept topping it with them. Brussel sprouts were terrible. Extremely hard and untrimmed. Asparagus ok, mashed potatoes pretty good. Sauce on crab cake was agreed by all not good. The crab cake itself was actually pretty good, but totally ruined by sauce. Arugula salad that came with it was completely covered in so much salt it actually hurt my mouth. I was biting into granules of salt. So terrible. Service was just ok. My husband said he's had better steaks at longhorn steakhouse. Save your money if you're used to really good steak houses. Came here last night for dinner! They were very very accommodating and didn't mind pushing back my reservation, then staying open an additional hour to let everyone eat. Our waiter was a cool Russian sounding dude, very knowledgeable and kind. I wish I would've gotten his name he was truly awesome. We had a party of 4 and 3 of us got their filet mignon steak and one of us got the salmon. Everyone loved their food and it was cooked to perfection. We got another steak to go for my mom and she loved hers as well. The sides we got were 2x of the creamed corn which felt like a warm hug and then the creamed spinach which I wasn't that into but everyone else loved it. We also got their 7 layer chocolate cake and the creme brûlée and both were delicious!! Drinks were strong and everyone was pleased. If we come back to Missouri we will definitely eat here again. To end our weekend Branson trip, hubby and I decided on Level 2 for our final meal. It is located inside the Hilton Hotel on the Landing, this is in a great location for dinner and a means to walk it off after. We had to try the Ahi Tuna appetizer primarily because it was served on a Himalayan salt block and we love stuff like that. Happily, it was a pretty tasty bite as well. Served with pineapple salsa, pickled ginger, sherry soy and miso aioli. Very good! Entrees we're a filet for me and prime rib for my husband. Both cuts were cooked very well! So yummy! For sides, we chose the mashed potatoes, honey carrots and Parmesan truffled fries. All were good but the carrots were not overly flavorful, honey-wise. Fries, however, were fabulous! Hand cut, soft and floppy just like I like! Those probably aren't the best adjectives, but trust me, they were delish! One unique touch was the knife service. This is my first experience where I got to pick out my own knife for my steak. I had no idea how to choose a knife, but it was pretty cool anyway. Hope I picked right! It had a red handle, soooo .. Don't waste your money. We had a horrible experience and will never be back. We came in for a Thanksgiving/Birthday celebration. I told called multiple times to remind it was my sons bday, let alone his first birthday with family in 5 years due to him being active duty. They totally forgot about my son bday. So we were looking for a fantastic meal in Branson. We found it. Hidden Gem inside the Hilton. Anton was our server and he was great from the minute we sat down. Started with a Maraschino Margarita with Bourbon salt on the rim. The drink was amazing! They brought bread and a dipping sauce that was 3 olives with Parmesan cheese, oil oil and balsamic vinegar. OMG it was fabulous! I ate the remaining of it with my steak. Ordered a Ribeye Med Rare it was cooked perfectly. They have a trio of sides and we tried the Brussels sprouts, Creme brûlée corn and a loaded potato all which were fabulous. Fast forward to dessert! We order Creme brûlée which was so so. But they gained the points back with the Mississippi Butter cake. Warm cake, egg custard in the center with ice cream and fresh whip cream. Out of this world. We will visit again. read more

For a high end restaurant, I was very disappointed. I'm a foodie and have been to many places at this price point and this ranks near the bottom. The service was slow and poor. We had to sit next to a table of crying infants (first time experiencing this at a steakhouse). The whole "pick your knife" is so stupid. A good restaurant/chef will give you the knife appropriate for your meal. Cut out of the show and focus on the food and service. Wine menu was pretty decent as for selection. As for food, the shrimp and calamari appetizers were good. The calamari dipping sauce was one dimensional but the calamari were cooked great. The olive tapenade with bread were also good. As a very unique service, they bring a selection of steak knives to the table of different styles and you get to choose your preference. If you come a certain number of times, you join their 'knife' club and your knife is reserved for your visits when you make reservations. The sides are alacarte and family style so you can share in group of 2-4 depending on what selections you make. The ambiance is a moody rock with dark velvety curtains (reminds me of Nomad lobby in Vegas) The service is excellent! The food was delicious. Great selections of wines and amazing cocktails. Once again, my wife and I were able to come to this wonderful restaurant for our 37th wedding anniversary. Once again, we were treated to an excellent experience. We had a reservation so we were seated immediately. Anton, our server, was awesome. He was prompt with all our needs and made excellent dining recommendations. I had the 14 ounce ribeye with the whiskey sauce and mushrooms and my wife had the petite filet with the peppercorn sauce. We had sides of Brussel sprouts, baby carrots and grilled asparagus. The sides were excellent but the steaks were the stars! Both steaks were cooked medium rare, as we requested, and were seasoned well and delicious! The two sauces were delicious and best served on the side for dipping. We ended the meal with Level 2's butter cake for dessert which was on the house because of our anniversary. Wonderful anniversary dinner here this evening with absolutely wonderful service! Mishka (from the Ukraine) was so polite and talented at his job! My Ribeye was delicious day perfectly prepared. I tried one of the optional side sauces, peppercorn, that turned out to be completeLy unnecessary! The stack was seasoned perfectly. The highlight probably was the best Caesar salad we've had anywhere! Seriously delicious. My husband didn't let them put the poached egg on top, but I will next time! On the side we're something I'd never seen, crunchy fried anchovies. Even to someone that doesn't like anchovies (I love them) these are worth having... sort of like a fried onion. Once again the Brussels Sprouts and my favorite, creamed spinach were just perfect! When we made the reservation we told him it was our anniversary. Let me first say this meal cost me almost $700 with tip included. There were five of us and we did have six cocktails (which were very good). This restaurant which is located in a hotel had let's just say "meh" in ambiance. I expected something a lot more upscale feeling based on the menu and prices, it we were stuck in a corner right at the front of the restaurant (a table reserved for weeks in advance for a special occasion). Four of us ordered steaks (3 filets and 1 strip). All the filets were ordered medium rare and all were grossly overcooked to medium well (IN A STEAKHOUSE!!!!). These steaks do not come with sides, you must order shareable ala carte sides. When you have five people with different preferences this was a challenge, driving the price up. We ordered Parmesan Truffle Fries, creamed spinach and asparagus. The fries were so tough they were inedible, the asparagus spears were a soggy mess but the spinach was divine. Our fifth guest ordered the Rotisserie chicken and said it was very good however she wasn't all that hungry so she asked for it to be boxed up to go. They removed it from the table and threw it away just wasting a $40 meal. Two of us added scallops to our meal and both were overcooked and without any flavor. Regarding service, I would liken this to a greasy spoon diner, not great and certainly not professional! This restaurant brings you a selection of knives to choose from, describing weight and balance, unique for sure but every knife was dirty looking with hard water spots. This restaurant offers steaks that cost up to $240. If I'm paying this kind of money for steaks, everything from clean steak knives to perfectly cooked steak and accompaniments along with wonderful service is expected. My advice to people in 417 land is if you want these things from a local Steakhouse, go to Char in Springfield and you definitely will not feel like you paid $700 for creamed spinach. read more

We stay at Hilton all the time and we eat at their restaurants which are usually very good anyway but Level 2 Steakhouse was impressive. From the guy at the Front Desk who did the reservation for us almost at the last moment during a very busy night for them to the best server we ever had - Anton who made our night with his professional and friendly approach to our group - everything was just perfect. Even the selection of knives they offer you to choose for your steak. The food was just right for an upscale steakhouse. Wedge salad was one of the best I ever had, the ribeye was flavorful and seared just perfectly. Anton gave us all four sauces they offer so we could try them and they were all very good. I'll start by saying this is likely the best steakhouse in Branson. However, the bar is pretty low. To begin with, if you're an ala carte steak house charging $35 for just the steak, that steak better be prime. As it was I get equal cuts at my local Kroger grocery store. The quality of steak was our biggest disappointment and the reason for such a low mark. Otherwise the meal and service were very good. The restaurant itself was dark, I suppose to be romantic. This made it difficult for us to read the menu. They have a good selection of entree's other than steak. They also have a nice selection of appetizers and sides. Most entree's are in the $30+ ranges. Appetizers and sides are in the $9+ range with an option of three sides for $20. We both choose the steaks soup for an appetizer, the beef tenderloin and the three side option with cream brûlée creamed corn, noodles and cheese and loaded baked potato. The steak soup was very good, but the portion was large enough to be an entree. They serve bread with the meal and next time we'll stick with just the bread. The portion for an appetizer was just to much. I've covered our disappointment with the quality of the cut of meat. I've had as good at Texas Roadhouse. The steak was cooked to order and seasoned well. The sides were excellent sand we enjoyed the option to try three for a reasonable price. The in,y disappointment was that there was no salt and pepper on the table and none was offered. We had to flag our server down to get any placed on the table. I ordered their signature Manhattan to go with dinner. This was also a huge disappointment. The quality of the drink was fine, but it was served in a small highball glass and it was mostly occupied by the one large round ice cube. I have no problem with the large round ice cubes unless they occupy the majority of the glass. There was darn little actual drink in this glass. We also tried level2 for breakfast. While adequate, there are better options a short walk from the hotel for less money. Most diners were going with the breakfast buffet but we went with the menu selection. Adequate and reasonably priced, but we had a much nicer breakfast at a local restaurant within a 1 block walk. Chain restaurants like Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel are better options. read more

Level 2 Steakhouse in the Branson Hilton Hotel. My now wife and I had our first date there more than a year ago. An excellent and memorable meal indeed. Thought we would enjoy New Year's Eve dinner there this year and made a reservation for us and 2 friends about a week in advance. Two days before our dinner reservation I received a phone call from a woman explaining that even though we had confirmed reservations at the restaurant we would not be able to order off of the menu and would be instead limited to just 2 entrees, 2 salad choices and 2 appetizer choices at a fixed cost of $175.00 per person. I WAS AND STILL AM LIVID! I spoke to the on duty restaurant manager and was given the same script. Never once did this manager offer as much as an apology and said he would have the executive chef contact me tomorrow. I instead contacted Hilton Hotels customer service and spoke with someone who assured me that he would look into the matter and contact me the next day with a resolution. That call back from corporate customer service never came. Instead the executive chef called and offered to go out of his way to allow us to order from the regular menu. I also learned that the decision to only offer a very limited menu was both corporates and his decision. We ultimately chose to dine elsewhere. It was difficult to find an open table one day prior to New Year's but we are happy to find anything at such short notice. Hilton displayed a complete and utter lack of professionalism and I will not be doing business with them in the future. read more
