Lottie and I chose a palm coffee favorite, the coffee cake donut and the ham and cheese croissant. For our drink, we had ti try their best seller, which actually put them on the map as a must try-spot for coffee in their cinnamon toast crunch iced latte. Then I ordred an iced matcha because they said they take their matcha seriously, it's ceremonial grade and this is also a popular drink item on the menu. The staff at the Palm coffee bar were so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. They really helped us pick the right drink and snacks for us. Lottie and I had a great time at this coffee shop and we highly recommend it to anyone if you're in the Burbank area.

It's the hot coffee you brew plus ice. Last I checked, that was the most common coffee order in the US. Ended up with a cold brew, which is not the same thing as iced coffee (and again... a "world famous coffee house" should know this). Cold brew has a different flavor profile and more caffeine. Either the employee is really uninformed about the most basic things about coffee or this business refuses to pour their normal medium/dark/flavored roast coffee over ice because they charge twice as much for cold brew... neither of which is acceptable. If you want to wait in a 30-minute line with kids running into you and the decor completely unattended, and overpay for a drink that wasn't what you ordered... this is the place for you. Otherwise, any of the other local Burbank coffee shops are better. Literally, pick any of the other places and you will have a better experience.

I have worked many customer service jobs so I always approach the counter with a "hi, how are you" and try to have a pleasant demeanor. I try not to let it bother me but it's hard not to notice the immediate switch from the interaction of the person in front of me. Now, I don't need people to be nice to me but I would like the same common courtesy I try to give. This happened on two other occasions and it's clear to me I just don't need to be going here.
