Had to see what the hype was about... Street parking was easy. The line was a little confusing. I grabbed a number then later discovered they were using them so I stood in line. It wasn't horrible, maybe 10 -15 minutes. I purchased a small cake and a cute dessert that resembled a strawberry. Both were like artwork. The cake was tasty, but a little dry. How sad that after years of being a customer I am treated with such disrespect today. Placed my pizza order at 11:15 am and asked for it to be ready at 11:45. I came to pick it up at noon and it wasn't ready. My husband paid for it and the person making the pizza said 10 more min. I came back 15 min later and he said 10 more min and put the pizza in the oven as we were talking. It's been an hour and 15 min and I'm still waiting. He is offering to cancel my order and refund me as a way of solving the issue! No refund, no discount and all he can say is why are you causing a scene and calls it a miscommunication. When I asked for a manager, he says he is the one in charge. His arrogance and lack of customer service skills are the reason why this place deserves zero stars. This was my first visit to Altadena Bakery, and I was excited to try some of their viral fruit pastries. I also ordered a pizza and a vanilla iced latte. The pizza was absolutely delicious and definitely the highlight of my visit. The pastries were good, but they didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. My iced vanilla latte was extremely sweet--far sweeter than I could drink. When I ordered, I wasn't asked about my preferred sweetness level, nor was I told there were different options available. When I went back inside to ask if it could be remade, the original employee wasn't there. The employee who helped me seemed inconvenienced by my request and responded by saying, "Well, you have to tell them," even though I had no idea sweetness levels were customizable. Her body language and tone made me feel like I was asking for something unreasonable before she finally agreed to remake it. The replacement coffee was much better, but the interaction unfortunately took away from what could have been a great first impression. I went here today, and I was really surprised how large this place was. It wasn't busy at all and the service was outstanding. The mushroom one was delicious for the fruit dessert but it was $15. I can see why because the stem was really hard and it had really good texture throughout. I seriously, wanna go back and try all the flavors. They are also beautiful. Here's the kicker, my first batch was more charred than I like and David recommended saucing it. I visited this location again recently. This is the closest bakery to where I live so I usually go there to pick up pastries. They have really good pastries and they taste good. Unfortunately, most of the items don't have prices so it gets confusing. I had to ask the employees several times for the price of the items. For service, some employees are nice and friendly. They take the time to help customers and don't make you feel rushed. But some employees are not that friendly. This bakery can get really busy on the weekends. There are long lines for ordering. I always pass by and can't believe I've never been here before. Altadena was amazing. The food was delicious and they had such a huge selection of pastries and desserts. There were so many croissants, cakes, and baked goods to choose from. We ended up getting a Nutella croissant and a pistachio croissant, plus the steak and chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh and really flavorful. We also ordered the hazelnut coffee which paired perfectly with the pastries. My family and I flew in early to Burbank airport. It was too early to check into our hotel so we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat and try one of their viral, fruit mousse pastries. The bakery is less than 10 minute drive from the Burbank airport. It was not too busy on a Saturday around 11 AM, but there was a study flow of customers coming in to pick up their cake orders or to pick up a few pastry items. I'm never in the Burbank area but saw that this place delivers through UberEats and wanted to give it a shot. I ordered the skirt steak sandwich, fries, and the viral raspberry dessert. Maybe this is all UberEats fault (I believe I left a similar review there), but when I got my food, my sandwich and fries were cold (or at least, barely room temperature), and my raspberry dessert was totally crushed. Parking in the neighborhood is easy. This place is BUSY! But, it's not line out the door busy. They're just always people coming in and going out - like non stop. You grab a ticket at the counter and then pay at the register. It goes by pretty quickly. There's only 3 high tops inside, but there's some seating outside. Most of the tables were taken, but I didn't feel like people had to wait around for a table. I felt pretty rushed when ordering, so I didn't get a chance to ask about some of the fruit mousse things. I did order the mushroom, peach, and mango. The mushroom was creamy and definitely had hazelnut spread or mousse in there. The peach one was delightful and tasted like summer. The mango was subtle, but tasted better if you held it in your hand and bit into vs using a fork - don't ask me why. I also ordered two Ajarskis (boat-shaped pizza with cheese-filled crusts, topped with runny eggs). I was a little surprised by the price, but they are pretty large and hearty so I only ate 1/4-1/2 and was able to spread each one out over 3 meals. The veggie one was LOADED with veggies and so delicious. The bread on it was homemade and perfectly crusty. The Armenian was delightful and light. I'd HIGHLY recommend this place! read more

As a huge floppy pizza fan, this was incredible! And 15 dollars is reasonable, I definitely would order this again. The hot honey was sticky and sweet + salty. Truly one of the bests I've had. I did received VERY burnt hot honey wings, but I kind of liked them? Haha. I didn't get to try them in their full potential but the flavor was so good that I didn't mind the burnt crispy taste too much. Their chicken breast sandwich was sooo yummy. It had raw onion and fresh tomato. The chicken is very, very well seasoned, and the sando itself is super long! They cut it in half for you, so it's definitely shareable. I've been to Altadena bakery a handful of times over the years. It's not in my normal path of travel and I don't usually remember to go by if I'm in the area but I saw a tik tok showing an updated interior and incredible looking fruit creations so we stopped by. They had a nice selection, mostly Armenian and French pastries. We tried a fruit tart and a sweet bread, both of which were very good. The star of the show is the fruits. They are made with chocolate shaped into the fruit they are filled with and painted bright colors. They have cream and a fruit filling and are really unique! I'll be back to try other flavors. The decor and experience feels upscale and the prices match, however the bakery is a little cramped and a little eclectic for the prices they are charging. I'd give it 4.5 stars.
