The place is just across the alley where I live, we just pick up our order so its very convenient! But the best part is the taste of the lasagna alla bolognose and fusilli bolognese are so delicious and perfect servings. We also tried one of their pizza, really fresh and yummy. I am highly recommending this place. 5 stars! BTW, the staff are all so friendly too!

Very delicious pastas and friendly people! This is classic Italian recipes. They'll let mix and match pasta and sauces. Also the portion sizes good for one person.

Just fantastic!! We just went to Italy in 2024 and weve been trying to capture that lightning in a bottle. This is it! What a great place! Super nice owner! Delicious food. We got bolognese, mushroom penne and pink sauce fredo. Soooooo good. Can't recommend enough!

Went with wife for a Friday afternoon dinner and right when we entered, the staff greeted us immediately! It's a hole in the wall spot, so we only saw the two chefs making food along with the owner who told us about his spot and how everything was imported from Italy and made fresh. Excited to try everything, we went with the Fusilli Bolognese and the Pizza capricciosa. The food was amazing, tasted like a homemade meal!! Our only negative is that it's so far from where live! But we'll definitely be back to enjoy more authentic Italian food

This place is delicious! We had the Capricciosa pizza and Eggplant Parm and loved them both. The people working there were so kind and gave us a bunch of desserts as well! Everything was so tasty. And we received focaccia bread with our order, which I also loved. I can't wait to try their gelato!

We order Capriccosa and Fresca Thats very delicious

Another review! Picked up dinner for my family. You really feel like you're experiencing somebody's secret recipes from Italy. Every time I go in, I feel surrounded by so much deliciousness it's hard not to order everything. Another dinner! This time I went in and ordered, everything was ready super fast!

OMG!!!!!!! I ordered two paninis, but got so much more. Dante and Jeromino paninis to die for. Just like in Italy. But bruschetta is above and beyond. Wonderful service. A tiny place with great ambiance. I hope they are here for a long time, as now I want to try everything in their menu. They just opened, so best of luck!

Amazing authentic italian food! My partner and I got Capricciosa pizza, Penne Mushrooms, bruschetta, cannoli, and gelato. Everything was amazing! I'm extremely picky about my pasta because of living in a place with a dense italian immigrant population during college. Their pasta is the perfect texture and the best I've had on the west coast 10000%! Can't wait for my next visit already!!! The team was 100/10 amazing for hospitality as well! Ambiance is a nice hole-in-the-wall vibe that focuses on food quality. Highly recommend!

Partner and I love trying new small businesses and we were in the area. Workers were so hospitable and answered every question about the menu with expertise. Having been to Italy for foods, this is place is definitely the closest thing to buying a plane ticket. Added bonus, all the ingredients and even the take out boxes are imported from italia. Would definitely recommend and will come back very soon. Grazie Milli Che Mangi!!!

The cacio e pepe pasta. Fantastic!

Fantastic new place! The chef is from Italy. A fabulous place to sit at the bar and eat and the ideal place to pick up dinner to go. We had pastas and dessert and will be back soon to try the pizzas. And the salads looked super fresh. It feels like one of the places you would go to in Italy. Highly recommend.

Walked in yesterday around 3:50 pm and got a very nice greeting from a sweet, pleasant lady with a genuine smile by the name of Natalia. Right away she asked me if I wanted to try few of their samples. I already had in mind what I was about to get, but she still offered me to sample it so I did. I got a medium size/cup of their Mascorpone gelato and grabbed a seat in the shop. She gave me a generous scoop and was very yummy, creamy, delicious & REFRESHING!! $8.23 with tax. Since my last review, the only reason that I gave a 4 star rating was because of their tables not being clean. Everything was up to par. Enjoyed my Gelato, the nice Classic Rock music and headed out. Everything else is mentioned in my previous review! Feel free to read it. Thank you Freddo, Natalia & management.

Every 'Joe Schmoe' can "go out for ice cream"; but do you want to up the ante and show off…read moresophistication? Would you prefer to feel as though you are carefree in Italy and about to hop on a vespa? Then opt for gelato. Somehow, grabbing gelato versus ice cream feels classy and elegant. Although gelato offerings in Los Angeles aren't as widespread as ice cream; there are plenty of options awaiting to make us all feel European (I AM European so I always do but I digress). San Fernando Valley's most recent addition to the world of gelato is Freddo - located not far from the Ventura/ Laurel Canyon intersection in Studio City. Yes, that means this is prime real estate and terrible parking. Is Freddo worth the hassle? Freddo has been in the gelato business for 50 years opening their first shop in Argentina before expanding worldwide focusing on fresh, local ingredients and flavors; making each shop unique to the surrounding cultures. Freddo has arrived in Southern California ready to bring their Italian gelato roots to the City of Angels. Sounds great, right? Well, yes - on paper but this Studio City location fell short. The Studio City location of Freddo has been on the receiving end of viral publicity and influencer love as of late often appearing in social media videos. Coupled with Freddo's worldwide market holding; I had very high hopes for Freddo's gelato. I expected some orgasmic gelato! A mind-blowing experience! My boyfriend and I ventured into Freddo to find a rather large gelateria in comparison to other gelato/ice cream shops with an order counter/gelato/pastry case, a front window-seating counter complete with plants and plenty of tables and seating within; while murals graced the walls adding splashes of color. What I found odd, was the disheveled mess Freddo appeared - why didn't anyone tidy the dining area? Granted, there was only one associate in the front but only two other customers ahead of us. Alas, an untidy gelato shop isn't the clincher to a bad time but this was just the beginning. My boyfriend and I have never visited Freddo and the associate was NOT welcoming, didn't smile, was basically silent and stood there like a statue until we asked for some samples on our own. Let's try "selling the business" and having good customer service, shall we buddy? I am not a gelato professional consumer by any means but I was instantly deterred by the visual appearance of the gelato which just looked 'off'. Perhaps, I am just spoiled by Bacio di Latte which is a hop, skip and jump from Freddo and is absolutely divine. I wasn't overwhelemed by the flavor options at Freddo although I tried Zabaglione which is inspired by the Marsala wine Italian dessert and was interesting with the wine notes coming through the gelato. The Mascarpone (mascarpone with raspberry sauce) was also decent but not overly unique. I decided against purchasing my own gelato and instead to share with my boyfriend with him choosing a double cup ($7.50) of Stracciatella (sweet cream with semi-sweet chocolate chunks) and blackberry sorbet (note: this was to test it against Bacio di Latte's raspberry sorbet which is one of the best sorbets on the planet). The prices at Freddo were another strike with the single cup ($6.25), double ($7.50) and triple ($9.80) being smaller in size than their competitors but about a dollar higher, respectively. This is fine if the gelato is worth it - but it isn't. I'm sorry but Freddo's gelato was mediocre at best. I've had better grocery store pints. The Stracciatella was overly simplified and bland and the blackberry sorbet (which was not strained of seeds) was just bad. I can't even eloquently phrase why - it just is. There isn't much more to be said about Freddo. Freddo is, bluntly, not good and I don't understand how they claim worldwide gelato domination. A messy shop, poor customer service, subpar gelato flavors/textures and overpriced... why is this place viral? Can someone answer me? Anyone?! There is nothing good here and especially when Freddo is overshadowed by Bacio di Latte almost a block away. My boyfriend and I will not be back despite wanting to feel classy consuming gelato. Skip!

Little Nelly may elicit a Whoa Nelly after your first try…read more I just wrapped up a takeout lunch, snack, and beverage from Little Nelly and felt compelled to work off all the extra calories I just consumed by doing some rapid typing exercise on Yelp. The shop is completely non-descript from the street. The lettering is small and the windows are tinted and you feel like you're about to enter a drab office, but when you open the door, you're treated to a feast for the senses. The space spans a mix of cafe, boutique gift shop, and bodega. Everything feels curated and little discoveries await you for those who are culinary minded. For example, I discovered that they sell frozen burritos from Las Palmas and frozen pizzas from Mozza?! Someone clearly knows their way across the culinary food map of Los Angeles. If you can pry your eyes long enough from wandering the corners of the store, you can finally place your order of breakfast, lunch or coffee/tea. I just took my cold cuts sandwich on house-made ciabatta to the proverbial mattress. The bread had enough structure to handle the piles of quality deli meats, yet was less dense than some other ciabatta breads I've tried. But, it did an admirable job packing in the flavors from the spicy peppers, cheese, meats. Wow. I'm just gonna say that this cold cuts sandwich was one of my top 3 from LA. As I grazed the bakery display, a patron whispered that I should try the biscuit with jam and butter. The guy was wearing Cheetos socks so I immediately felt that his recommendation was trustworthy. I threw in my lot with the biscuit and oh boy, did it (and his recommendation) deliver. Humble looking on the outside, there's a nice salted, buttery crust to the exterior that opens up to an inviting platform to slather on creamy butter and jam. I fully understand why he felt the extra calories were worth it. I'd do it again. Of course, I couldn't order a biscuit without a drink, so I tried their summery limoncello cream iced matcha with oat milk - summers in Kyoto and Sicily combine for a refreshing and satisfyingly creamy bever-"aaage" that adds some pep to your step, even when the mercury pushes past 100. Enjoyed with the biscuit, I was darn near ready to call it a day as I had probably experienced my best moment of the day. Little Nelly is officially on my weekly rotation from here on out.

What I love about it: it's a perfect place to pick up a thoughtful gift for the foodie in your life, and the food is consistently fantastic with something new to try each visit. The display and packaging feel special--even the jars add a cute touch. Recent highlights: I went with the Lil Guy sandwich with French ham and a chocolate chip cookie to-go. So good on the drive home to Orange County. I also grabbed a jar of their buttermilk dressing to save time at home, and I brought home a quiche and a biscuit--both were amazing.
