Not only is everything amazing, but the mousse and many of the other desserts are crafted like works of art. You can tell a lot of care, skill, and attention to detail go into every creation. I've now visited Erik's Sweet Creations twice, and both visits have been such a treat! This bakery is so clean, cute, and beautifully presented, and every time I walk in, I find myself admiring the gorgeous selection of pastries and desserts. I'm especially in love with their mousse desserts! During my most recent visit, I tried the Banana and Coffee Bean, and they were both phenomenal. Each one had a delicate, crunchy outer shell with an incredibly soft, creamy, and airy mousse filling inside. The Banana had a fresh banana purée-like filling that added a nice fruity flavor, while the Coffee Bean had a delicious mocha-like center. Beyond tasting amazing, both desserts were absolutely beautiful and almost too pretty to eat! My only wish is that they had a little bit of cake incorporated into them for some additional texture, but that certainly didn't stop me from enjoying them. They also have a great variety of cakes, cookies, macarons, éclairs, and croissants. Everything looked absolutely stunning and heavenly. I could easily spend way too much time here trying to decide what to take home! I also appreciated that the prices were very reasonable, and the staff was polite, welcoming, and helpful. My sister and I actually discovered this spot together while I was visiting her, and it has quickly become one of her new favorites! I recently tried Erik's Sweet Creation, and I honestly don't understand the hype. Aesthetically, the pastries are gorgeous. Presentation wise, they're a 5/5. The staff was also very friendly and provided great service. Unfortunately, the pastries themselves were a major disappointment. Being generous, I'd rate the taste a 1/5 and the value a 0/5. About 90% of what I had was just cream filling with very little flavor. They looked incredible but tasted bland and one-dimensional. For the prices they charge, I expected much more. What makes it even harder to justify is that they're priced similarly to Artelice, which not only delivers on presentation but also on taste. In my opinion, Artelice is in a completely different league. If you're nearby and need a one time gift for someone you'll probably never buy pastries for again, sure, these might impress visually. But if you're buying for yourself or for people whose opinion you'll actually hear again, this is a hard pass. Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 10 minutes to Artelice. You'll get pastries that are just as beautiful and significantly more delicious. I left genuinely disappointed and won't be returning. One star is for the aesthetics, and the other two stars are for the friendly service. The pastries themselves simply didn't live up to their appearance. read more

The pastries are extraordinary in freshness, flavor, design, and quality! I decided to support Erik's sweet creations. I'm glad I did! From the moment I walked in, , I was greeted by the warm, buttery aroma of fresh pastries and the kind of display that makes it impossible to choose just one thing. Everything from the baquetes to the pastres is a work of art. The croissants are perfectly flaky, the fillings are rich without being overwhelming, and the balance of flavors is spot on. Yelp listed Erik's as a new business in LA with good reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. There's a lot to choose from, and the first thing you notice is the visual presentation - it's impressive. A few items gave us sticker shock, but we decided to give the blueberry tart a try. I can't say if this was a one-off, or how they do their tarts, but the density took us by surprise: it was as thick as crust. The filling had a good almond flavor, but it was way thicker than any of us were expecting. Friendly staff there, and despite this average treat, there is so much variety in shop, I will return to try something else. I do wish them luck in this location. I hadn't been over here in a long time, but when I looked around, I remembered other businesses in this location. Sure enough, a look on Google maps shows that this is the 5th different business in this location in the mini mall over the past 10 years. Good luck - hope you break the streak! read more

Was excited to try this new shop in Burbank near my house. Located on Victory Blvd in a small stripe mall - this a sweet tooths dream! While i went in this am for some croissants - I got the almond and Dubai Chocolate - I was in awe over the cakes and even added a cookie to my order. The croissants we sampled were amazing - the perfect combination of crispy and gooey. Almond was light and fluffy and had great flavor. The Dubai was more decedent (as to be expected) we split that one - very big serving. Both were fantastic! Also got a cookie because i couldn't pass that up! Second time to patronize this place since they opened. First time, we tried their croissants and baguette. We found their croissants to our liking. The bread is just okay. Today, I went back to try the four tarts that they have available (almond, blueberry, cranberry and pistachio). Also got a slice of chocolate fruit cake. As soon as I got home, wife started eating the chocolate fruit slice and finished it before we even had dinner. We also tried the pistachio and cranberry tart. They did not disappoint. Tried a few croissants and cookies. Croissants look amazing! For $7+ each I had high hopes . The flavor and looks are good however the croissant wasn't crispy. I got there right at opening so I know they were fresh. I tried about 5 different croissants and non had that flaky crispy goodness. But what was amazing were the cookies. So sad and dissapointed because i had already bought a cake here and it was so good which is why i decided to get another cake for my daughters birthday and they gave me a cake that was already rotting. (Pictures for proof) Totally understand employees cant do much but the company police as a whole saying no refund and exchanges when they gave us a rotten cake does not make sense. The employee said they could atleast change the fruits on the top and i told them no because how do i know the fruits inside is not the same. He then proceeded to say they bake every cake fresh daily and took out another cake and the rasberry had mold already! Like come on dude your just making yourself look worse. I told him would you eat that and he even said no himself. He then proceeded to blame us saying it was our fridge and so apparently their fridge does not work either. Totally dissapointed. Yes employee offered me a discount for another cake but would you want to eat there again after such horrible service? No, and keep in mind i was really nice about the whole situation i just told them ok i understand ill just leave a bad review to help people from having the same bad experience as me.
