Honestly, there fries have always been terrible and their hamburgers are just so so. The "protein style" is always wet, cold, and soggy. I've given it a good few year run, but I think I'll never go back here. Honestly, I would recommend McDonald's over this place. In-n-out is exactly why you would expect. It's fast food, but it's definitely a higher tier of fast food--you don't feel sick when you leave, or several hours later. The best thing--not on the menu--is the Neapolitan shake. I also really like requesting chilies on my double double so that it has a little extra spice. The tomatoes are always really crisp, and the food is good enough that I will always come back. I've been fortunate now to eat at In-N-Out in every state where they have restaurants (California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah and Texas) and it's incredible the consistency they are able to maintain regardless of the location. In-N-Out has always meant freshness and quality to me. It's also healthier than most burger places (I believe this is largely because the meat patty is smaller here than say at Five Guys). The produce is always very fresh and while it may have hard to understand sometimes the lettuce makes this burger for me. Just the freshness and the crunchiness it adds does something for me. I agree with many that their fries are not the best you'll find anywhere but they are good enough. If the quality of everything wasn't enough to keep you coming back, the price will. A very competitive price point for all of their products and considerably less than some places they are always compared to (again, Five Guys as an example). Their lemonade is so good, it just hits the spot every time. My only issue with this specific location is they always forget something, always. We typically get a good amount of food, usually we have 3-4 people with us. But every time they forget an order of fries. That's a little disappointing. Fresh beef patties served hot as can be on a delicious bun. Sometimes I fe adventurous and ask for a 4x4 - 4 patties with a layer of cheese in between each. Perfect. This restaurant may even be 5 stars for me but there is one thing that holds me back. The Fries. Yes - they are delicious. But the problem I continually find is the fries are cut so short sometimes. It's like trying to pick up miniature wood chips and shoveling them into your mouth gets difficult. If you are lucky, you will get a few long Fries but it is very rare. I don't know what the deal is here, but it could definitely be improved. The staff is very friendly at this location. The inside is always clean - the ketchup dispenser is always full, and the lemonade is delicious. I love how the patties have crispy caramelized edges because they are right off the grill and not pulled out some warm water in a pan up on a shelf. Also they work hard to make sure the product looks perfect unlike most of the other hamburger places that just toss them together like they are playing a game of ring toss. I've had the burger both regular and animal style. I've had the fries both regular and animal style. I've eaten in so it was fresh off the griddle. I still don't get it. Don't get me wrong. It's a good burger, but it's just that. It doesn't taste particularly beefy. The fries are good, but just that. I think there is a lot of nostalgia for the place, and southern CA. The "secret menu" is a great gimmick. When compared to much of the fast food chain line-up, it's better, but I prefer some of the food at Wendy's better. Having never eaten at an In-N-Out Burger before, I was excited enough to get out in traffic and construction from my hotel to try it out. Huge mistake. Possibly the worst burger and fries I have ever eaten. I spent a exceptionally long time in line just to receive a massive amount of cold limp gross fries (how are fries this cold when they are so busy?) that had to be thrown away as they were not edible. The burger was greasy and flavorless. I could see it had multiple ingredients but the only taste was grease which soaked through both wrappings and the bag. For some reason they put the straw in my drink for me which put me off, having someone handle it with their bare hands before I put it in my mouth, so the drink was garbage fodder as well. I know this is a popular chain , but I'd rather eat Burger King than this garbage. They definitely made an impression, but mostly that I got mugged. Waste of time and money. read more

Originally from California, In-N-Out has a mid-60's bygone era feel to it, with neon palm trees and red and white tiling, it'll please you aesthetically, all the while satiating your taste buds. There's a whole lot of things to rave about when it comes to In-N-Out. 1. Meal prices are inexpensive. (About $6.00 is average for an adult). 2. The fries are freshly cut, not frozen. 3. I'm convinced that the American Cheese they use could be melted on anything and it would improve; fries, burgers, crumbling relationship with your mother, pretzels... just anything. My wife and I are huge fans of the protein style double-double. A very tasty burger but not something you'd want to eat while wearing your favorite pair of white capris. Giving 5 stars would be spitting in the face of my moral compass because the fries at In-N-Out are the absolute worst form deep fried potato shreddings. I love In-N-Out. All of the staff that I've encountered here have been so polite & nice. They are troopers. The drive they line can sometime be a nightmare if you go at the right-wrong time. Sometimes the line will wrap around the parking lot-going into the Blaze Pizza parking lot. I can't even imagine how stressful it must be to work at such a busy In-N-Out; and none of the staff ever show that they are in a bad mood! The staff always gets the food out quickly and they have never gotten my order wrong. Everything is clean. All of the staff are wearing gloves & masks. Something that I like about this location in particular is that they don't pressure you to buy extra stuff (in my home town they always try to sell you extra fries & shakes). If you're in the drive thru, depending on who you get, they can be super talkative and carry out a conversation or you could get someone who is (understandably) trying to just get your order to move the line along. read more

Went to in and out, late at night it was the only thing open. went "In" expecting a solid burger, but came "out" with disappointment and rage. I take a bite of my burger and come to realize the millimeter thin patty wasn't even cooked all the way through let alone the fact I was tasting more seasoning then patty. As well as the fact the bun is very dry and crumbled as you try to ingest the burger. Trying to redeem my meal with the fries I grab one only to realize the fry taste like the cardboard box that they come in! after Being defeated by the fries and burger I thought the only thing that would get me through the day was the milkshake. Just to find sucking the shake through the straw is a full jaw workout and I proceeded to burn more calories then I was consuming. I'm honored as a Californian to be writing the 100th review for my favorite burger place ever. In-N-Out...that's what Chelsea's life's ALLLLLL About. While this location is terribly busy most all the time, I am impressed by the service they provide and how fast they try to get everyone's food without jeopardizing the quality. I have yet to experience an instance when the staff was less than friendly and smiley. The food is always top notch. If anyone wants to fight me on this, bring it on. I will admit I am biased because I'm from the home of In-N-Out. But come on, their success is not from nothing. Always get a cheeseburger, always get with onions, and if your diet allows you to, get animal style fries and a neapolitan shake. Since my diet doesn't always allow it, I go for the cheeseburger or double double protein style (no bun, lettuce wrap). It is under 300 calories and satisfying without the guilt of cheating on your diet ;) Another impressive feature of this place is that the bathrooms, despite the busy crowds, are not disgusting. The vegetables are always fresh and the potatoes are cut fright in front of you. You can't beat 2.50$ for a double cheese burger with this much flavor. Great ingredients.
