Been meaning to come try this spot, so I'm a little let down. For starters, the employees love to stare you down while you eat, making the experience super uncomfortable. I had the JCW double, and he had the Hawaiian chicken sandwich. My burger was okay, nothing to write home about, and my favorite part about it was the buttery bun as the meat itself wasn't as seasoned as I like it to be. Very little grilled onions,!almost no fry sauce, and just pretty sloppy. The chicken sandwich had a weird sauce that needed some work. I had heard a lot of good things about JCWs but this food was bad. The burger had a weird taste to it. I don't know if it was the bun, the patty, or the smokey flavor they grill with but it wasnt great going down and I immediately felt sick for the rest of the night. Grabbed dinner here before a BYU Football game and it was jam packed. Despite how busy it was, I was lucky and got my food cooked and served within six minutes of ordering (the shake came out very quickly, with the rest of the food not far behind). The others I was with weren't so lucky -- even though we ordered at the same time (at different registers), their food came out nearly ten minutes later. The burgers and fries are solid, but it's the ultimate fry sauce that makes this place truly special in my eyes. The service and ambience were acceptable. The shake was not. I was excited to have another shake. My first experience had been a couple of years prior. The first time, the shake was thick and very creamy. This time, it was watery and icy. The mix appeared to be reformulated for cost savings. It was nowhere close to my original experience. Great burger.. but.... First the good part. I'm on keto so if you want a good fatty burger with bacon and lots of flavor, this is the place. Now the bad... You walk in to an empty place, the kitchen workers are doing thier thing but the other employees are slouched in the booths, looking at thier phones and looking they are waiting for the end of the day. Just not a great look and the manager and stop this immediately or tell them to take breaks outside. I get slow hours but this is a business and be professional. It's been years since I tried JCW's and remember it to be a great experience. Sadly it has gone downhill really fast and based on the reviews, I received the same treatment most customers have received. I hope that instead of just reading the reviewing and putting in their standard corporate replies, that the company could read this free feedback (some companies pay hefty fees to get any feedback) and make some changes. Here is my take. Location-The best part of the whole meal. Really open areas, with nice decorations and large televisions. The local teams is and military wall was a super nice touch. Really clean everywhere. Service-Our cashier was nice but that's about where it ended. Getting anything from the counter like a lid seemed like a huge chore. When our food did come, which took about 25 minutes, the sever did not say a word, just plopped our food down. Really sad. I'd almost rather have them call out our number and we get it from the counter. Food-The blue bacon burger was the best of the bunch followed by the wings. Both were tasty. The kids meals of grilled cheese and fries looked so sad and unflavored. It's almost like the fries are left out to dry for about three hours before serving. The cheese fries use to be a highlight, but now they are the same sad fries with an insane amount of cheese that made the whole thing taste terrible. The place can honestly save money on cheese and make a better plate. Win-win. All this for 43 bucks makes me think that I'd be better off at McDonalds or Culver's for what I pay. read more

I really don't like giving places one star reviews but sometimes they need to happen. Let me tell you about my experience there recently. Me and some friends went to JCW's after playing pickle ball to get some shakes. No food but just some dessert. We put in our shake orders and started chatting. 10 mins later, no shakes. 20 mins later no shakes. So we went to the counter and asked if they somehow forgot about us. The worker responded by saying "can't you see we've got a huge list of shakes to make. We'll get to yours when we get to it." We waited another 25 mins. 45 mins total. Still no shakes. Then we went back to the counter and said that we had observed other people come, get their shakes, eat them, and leave before we got ours. We then were told by the manager that the paper roll that fed the orders to those making the shakes had run out and our order must have gotten lost when the paper was out. Not remorse, no real apology other than "we'll make them asap" and "sorry about that." Quite honestly terrible service and I don't plan on going back anytime soon. read more

JCWs customer service is always great. The only downside is that there are always a handful of customers in the restaurant, resulting in JCWs taking a bit longer to serve the food. I love how juicy and flavourful their patty is. My favourite is the mushroom truffle burger. It is so fragrant and just satisfies my cravings! I haven't been here for a very long time. Like probably a year. This place was packed full because of the BYU football game too. I have always liked their food, shakes, and onion rings! As this location is quite big, this restaurant allowed for customers to be seated comfortably while being socially distanced. After ordering our burgers, we waited around 10-15 mins and got our food. To my disappointment, the burger was not hot (did not seem freshly made) and did not have much of the mushroom flavor or sauce to it. As I do not recall JCWs having a poor quality of burger, I hope this is just a one time issue and will have to come back and see if their quality has dropped since COVID. read more

I came in and all I wanted were the chicken tenders because they're my favorite, but no fries because honestly their fries aren't that good, crunchy or flavorful. JCW is good. Just good. In my opinion, to move up a tier from the likes of Wendy's and McDonald's, the place has to have good toppings and variety, but the quality of the patty is what turns a burger from good to great. This would be a 2 star burger joint, like the aforementioned fast food restaurants, if it wasn't for the variety and the delicious ultimate sauce. I don't like the comparison to Training Table because Training Table was just all around better. I feel like JCW wants to be in that Training Table "gourmet" burger niche (and I use the term gourmet very loosely) but that is hard to do when you have a drive through. JCW is a little over priced for the quality of the burger but not outrageously so. The big issue I have, and I'm taking off a whole star for this, is the last several times I've been to this location, the cheese fries were blackened under the broiler. Burnt black. Not good and inedible. When a large fry is meant to feed several people, burning them disappoints a crowd. And I agree with the other reviewer. Had a nightmare of an experience at the American Fork store. Luckily I was able to get in touch with owner and he sent us a gift card. The manager at this shop ignored me and ranch spilled everywhere- manager on duty REFUSED to refund me back. I had to spend 2 months finding someone that would hear me and understand. Not too shabby if I do say so myself! This fancy fast good establishment was a quick and delicious place for my extended family and I to go to and satisfy our cravings for burgers and fries. I also got the fried halibut fish which was awesome (be sure to ask for tartar sauce though). It is a fast paced and fun restaurant, where you order at the counter, they hand you a number, and they bring you your food hot off the grill! It was pretty clean, they didn't get around to mopping up a spilled drink, but that didn't throw off my groove. I still was able to make my way to the sauce station and serve myself up some "fry sauce" (or as Wyoming people call it, "pink sauce"-- a delightful mixture of ketchup and mayo with a hint of love). TIPS & TRICKS: * If you're craving a shake, try the Almond Joy--it was gone before I even had a chance to realize I broke my New Years Resolution of "eating healthier". Whatever, it was well worth it. * Everything on the menu can be served as a kids meal, which is awesome for people like me who don't want to eat a huge burger.
