We love chom! They have the best sweet potato fries out there. Today I ordered their chom burger with cheese and it was good, nothing crazy, just a classic cheeseburger. My husband ordered their BBQ bacon & cheese & it really hit the spot for him. We also ordered their January shake (mudslide milkshake) and it was super yummy! The Restaurant wasn't busy, so service was quick! We also love the shows they have on the tvs. Usually, Hell's Kitchen and a few others, which makes it fun to watch while you eat. read more

My visit was disappointing last night. The service here is always mediocre. The employees don't seem to care very much about their jobs unfortunately. The tables all were dirty and needed to be wiped down. I ended up cleaning the table myself with water from the soda machine and napkins. The burgers were overly salty. Almost inedible. It was weird. They also were cooked unevenly. We were very disappointed with the muddy buddy shake. My husband and I ordered our dinner, ate at the restaurant, then took our shakes to go. We tasted them when we got home. They had hardly any flavor! There was barely any chocolate or peanut butter. The advertising made this shake look like a chocolate and peanut butter lovers dream. We purchased two larges and with costing us $15 - we threw them away and went somewhere else for dessert! We were so disappointed!!!! read more

Great burger. Prices a little high, no combos. You buy everything separately. The day we came the soda machines were down so all you can get out of it was water. If you wanted soda, they were selling cans. I had the Chom burger and Hubby got the Garlic Burger minus the fried egg. I also ordered sweet potato fries and tots. We enjoyed our burgers and sides. The highlight was the ranch! If you love ranch like me-- so yourself a favor and order extra ranch. (They ask you what sauces you want when you order). There's seating but definitely not enough to take on the lunch crowd that we encountered that day. Also there was a couple LONG booths , which is great for a group but it probably would have been better to offer smaller tables to accommodate more people. There is also one long high table too. Also great for a group but this dominated a side of the seating area so it still would have been wiser to just have smaller tables. The atmosphere is loud. the cashiers have to strain to hear the order at times. It's definitely a popular spot from what we saw that day. Here is the order: Plain hamburger, no cheese. Add bacon. Add Egg. This is the one, you won't be disappointed unless you want yellow mustard, which they don't have (bring your own). Then...treat yourself to any shake, yes this will be a cheat day but it will be worth it. The staff is slow but they won't get your order wrong. Typically there isn't a line so you show up and you'll be off and running. Sit in the big booth and enjoy Bob Ross painting on the TV playing all day long. read more

I haven't been here in a while, and now I know why. I got their burger special and it was the driest patty melt I've ever had in my life. The bread tasted like sand, they were very stingy with cheese and toppings, I paid extra for an extra patty because I hadn't eaten all day and to say the least I was disappointed by the lack of flavor and overall meh of the whole meal. Also I paid 5.75 extra for a combo and the amount of tater tots I received was laughable. The tater tots are also unbelievable salty and the cheapest kind of tater tot you can buy. My husband got the Chom burger and it was a little better than mine but not by a lot, the toppings also were scant but it actually had more than one topping . My husband got large tater tots and the size difference of what you get is insane. I got barely a handful of tater tots and my husband had a ton. We were the only ones in the restaurant until we finally got our food which took about 20 minutes. Which I know it takes about ten to make burgers but 20 is encroaching on too much time. The kids in the back really just didn't seem like they wanted to do anything but hang out. The restaurant was dirty, there was a fossilized fry on the floor. The drink machine was much cleaner than the Provo location but that's not saying much. I guess if you don't look like a broccoli stalk or a llama, this overpriced low quality burger place is a skip. I've honestly had better burgers at Del Taco. The prices are also very outrageous 37 dollars for two combo meals is highway robbery even for this economy. CHOM Burger consistently came up on my top places to eat at in my area list and I'm glad I finally tried it out. I ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger with the Sweet Potato Fries. The burger was good, certainly not the best I've had, but still worth a try and the fries we also good and worth the try. The service was great, the girl working the cash register was very nice to my wife and complimented her when she checked us out and the atmosphere is very trendy and fun. There are a few photo op walls that you can use as your backdrop for your photos with family or friends. We will definitely return to try some of their other options. read more

Probably one of my favorite burger and shake places! I love how many options they have, it's one of our favorite places to take out of town guests! Some of our go tos are: Chom burger Garlic burger Fried chicken sandwich The fries and onion rings!! Yum! And you really can't go wrong with any shake. Very good! The lettuce wrap option is always one I welcome as I have a gluten allergy. The blue cheese was VERY strong so if you don't like a ton maybe ask for it on the side. The fries were great and the chocolate shake I got was AMAZING. it's a very thick shake and they have tons of flavors to try. It's not the most affordable option it was around $30 for two burgers, fries, one shake and one drink. You buy everything separately here which personally I'm never a fan of but to each their own. How the tides have turned on this place, sadly. We first visited this place when it opened and the burger, fries, and shakes were delicious. We visited recently and while the service was friendly, the food was not anything to talk about. The patties on our burgers were too light in color, the buns were soggy and worst of all...the onion rings were shockingly awful. They were soft and did not look to be onion rings. Sooo IMPRESSED with this place! The customer service we received from Whitney tonight was superb! She was friendly, super personable, and even gave recommendations to the menu. Wishing everyone can get the same service as Whitney gave us - she nailed it and has set a pretty high standard! Solid experience and really enjoyed most everything about this place. We went for a work lunch, ~12 people at 11am. The place wasn't busy but the large order really overwhelmed them and there was much, much confusion about what fries went where, who ordered what, etc. Orders were not marked well (no tomatoes, etc) so it was kind of a guessing game. Not a huge deal and definitely nothing major that would deter another visit. Burgers were fantastic and everyone loved what they ordered. I went for the Bleu Bacon burger and was very happy. Burger was big enough I had to cut it in half to NOT get it down the front of my shirt. Someone in our group ordered the salad and said it was 'okay.' Nothing fancy or to write home about but a decent salad. I give them a pass since who orders a salad at a burger place??? This is why we cannot have nice things. Fries were hit or miss at the table. Mine were cold and mushy, others were fine. Apparently the Sweet potato fries were excellent. I may try those next time I am down in Utah county. read more

We also tried out a triple berry shake and it was a THICK, tart, delicious treat that I'm still thinking about. This place use to be great. It's fallen far. Fries are under cooked burgers are dry and services is terrible. I order 2 gluten free burgers and the came out on gluten buns. When I took them back and told them they got it wrong the girl behind the counter argued with me and told me that not what it said on the ticket. She even asked if it was for an allergy when I ordered ‍. She then said I had to pay extra for the gluten free buns when it was their mistake. We then waited another 20 minutes for them to remake our burgers. Don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon. This place use to be great it's really not now. read more

This corner unit has had so many different restaurants close I'm hoping this place is able to stay for the long haul. The burgers where so good and the meat truly taste like high quality beef. I've never walked away from CHOM thinking, that was just ok. It's always fantastic. Took some friends there on Friday night for a double date. They had never been. They think I'm smart now! Other burgers we have really enjoyed from previous visits are the Garlic burger, Bleu Bacon burger, and the Green Chile Avocado burger. It seems like this location has been a revolving door of different restaurants over the past 10 years, to the point where I can't name every single one that's been there. CHOM seems to regularly have a crowd here, so maybe it has some staying power. I went with a Spicy Serrano Burger, mixed fries, and a Grasshopper shake. We ended up in the weird elevated table since that was what was available. The food came out pretty quick, and the price wasn't too bad. Typical prices you'll pay for a nicer burger. The burger was good, but it felt like the least exciting part was the actual patty itself. The bun was great, the toppings were amazing, but the meat was pretty plain. It was nice to order something "spicy" and actually have it be spicy. Fries were good, and I always appreciate when they have sauce for them outside of just ketchup. The shake was pretty good too. I like that they actually have combos available with their burgers (something like $5 to add drinks and fries), and they also had smaller burgers, and a few other options. There are a lot of options in this area now, so it's hard to say I'd come back anytime soon, but of restaurants in American Fork it is definitely a restaurant among other restaurants. read more

CHOM is excellent!!! I've never had a bad experience here and I'm been here multiple times since they opened and I bring my family and friends. The BBQ Cheeseburger is bomb! The Pastrami Burger is craveable and I love their sweet mustard sauce they put on it. Some say it's too sweet but I think it's fantastic with the salty pastrami. The Fried chicken sandwich is also a delight with that delicious slaw! Can't go very wrong with any of their great burgers. Warning: the Lil Chom's meat is much thinner and not as good. Just get a regular burger even if you want a small one. Not worth skimping on the higher quality burger patty. And the locally made buns are noteworthy as well! They toast the middle right before compiling your burger. The best shake is the salted caramel biscoff followed by any other. Seriously, they're all great. They are the perfect thickness for a Utah shake. Excellent to the max. TIP: you can get any burger veggie wrapped (wrapped in lettuce). read more

This was my first time eating here. I ordered the garlic burger and fries with chom sauce. The burger was cooked well, but I didn't particularly care for the egg. Mine didn't have the shoe string potatoes on it as advertised. Fries were good. Crispy, just how I like them. The chom sauce is a spicy mayo that I liked. First timer at chom burger (any location). The burger combinations are well thought out. The buns are absolutely fantastic and come from one of the best bakeries in Utah. The fries are battered and super crispy. Their fry sauce has a little extra zip that makes it special. The shakes are thick and yummy. I got a salad / onion rings and a chicken sandwich.. for $33 dollars plus tax. The salad was TINY for 12$ had an egg maybe 4oz of bland dry chicken and a small sliced tomato. The "ranch" dressing was some fresh dill and mayo....all I could taste was the latter. My (side) of four little onion rings was 6$ about 1.50 each. Chicken club sandwich was good but. Not worth 12$ overall I regret not going somewhere else for the money. Had it been 20$ for everything. 3.5 stars. Just not worth it with bland tiny portions of mediocre quality food. read more

This burger was really great! The bun was toasted with butter on the inside, which added flavor and texture. They cooked it perfectly and I was able to customize it the way I liked EXCEPT... they didn't provide any other condiment options besides their signature chom sauce, which is very gross. Why would a burger place not have mayonnaise as a condiment option?! What about a condiment pump next to the soda you could get yourself? Mayo is a staple ingredient for most burger lovers. Also ketchup and mustard... but nope! They only provide chom sauce. I enjoyed Chom, but that was a major downer. I am a bit embarrassed with how long it took me to finally visit CHOM Burger. I have seen and heard great things for years but it took me quite a while until I was actually able to check it out for myself. CHOM Burger was super easy to find and is in a really great location--it is super close to all the other typical places you go to run your errands. With this however, comes a terrifying parking lot that is can be super scary to get in and out of, depending on the time and day of your visit. Upon walking in, it was super easy to read the menu and it was easy to figure out what I wanted. The people taking my order were super nice and attentive. There was plenty of seating and the tables were all nice and clean while they awaited people to sit at them. I also felt like my food came pretty dang quickly. The burger was great. I loved the toasted bun, although I think I would've preferred a bit of a softer bun. The patty was cooked great and the lettuce was a nice compliment to the burger's texture. I also really loved the sauce that came on the burger; it really sealed everything together perfectly. The fries were probably my favorite part of my meal. They came out hot and fresh. They were the perfect amount of crispy and the fry sauce accompanied them quite well. I did try their ranch but I really wasn't the biggest fan so I stuck to the fry sauce. I also appreciated the fact that they had the red cream soda at their soda machines as well. Everything about CHOM was pretty superb and I would totally go back again sometime soon. read more

This place is really good. The buns were toasted to perfection, the fries are crisp on the outside and perfectly soft in the middle. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger. It was amazing! The sauce is really good. The other wonderful thing is their old fashioned root beer. It is vanilla-y and delicious. I have 2 complaints. That is it. 1) I don't know what they pay their employees, but I hate being asked to tip when I get my own drinks, I get called up to the counter to bring my own food to the table, and I clear my table myself. 2) The food is good but the prices are pretty steep for what you get. It was close to $70 for 4 burgers, 4 fries and 4 drinks. I will eat here again, but not very often. There are a lot of other options where $70 gets you more. read more

We ordered a lil Chom Burger, BBQ Chicken Sandwich, Large Onion Rings and regular Triple Berry Shake. This was a to go order. We waited a reasonable amount of time for our order. There is basically no ambiance, unless you consider three large screen TVs as providing home renovation and golf lessons as a form of entertainment. You have to memorize the menu, which is hung above the preparation area and about 12-15 feet from where you place your order. After we got our food and left the store, my wife commented that $33 was a bit excessive for what we got. Then we noticed a difference in what we were charged and the price for the meal. An item on the receipt labeled "Meal" consisted of the Onion Rings ($4.50) and the shake ($3.50) a combined total of $8.00, but we were charged $12.50 (a difference of $4.50). The discrepancy is part of the reason for my low rating. When we got the food home the food was VERY disappointing! The burger was not completely cooked and neither was the bacon on the BBQ Chicken Sandwich. My wife microwaved her burger patty but said her burger was very salty and one of the worst burgers she had ever eaten. The onion rings were just awful! The breading was tasteless and a little doughy. Don't think we'll be going back there! read more
