Slim Chickens is very, very mid. The highlight of every meal is the sauces. Good fry sauce equivalent, great ranch, plenty of other options. Aside from that, I'm always left disappointed. They used to have more wrap options on the menu, which I always enjoyed with their grilled chicken, but everything else is no bueno for me. The fried chicken is tough and very stringy? I'm no expert but I think it's likely cause of how it's being frozen. I may be wrong, but whatever is the cause, the chicken is honestly always a let down. If it weren't a chicken joint, I wouldn't be so bothered by this fact, but alas. If you lather everything in their sauces, it's alright. On its own, very mid. Seems like slim chickens was pretty solid a few years ago when it opened, but nothing spectacular nowadays. There are other chicken joints around at a similar price point and I would have to recommend just about any of them over slim chickens. read more

There were only a few people ahead of me in line, but I had to wait 25 minutes for my meal, and that's not the main problem for me; I was disappointed to find that the fries weren't even hot when I got them after waiting for such a long time. Same with the toast--it's already not the special kind of toast that's soft and buttery; if it's not fresh & hot, then it tastes pretty bad. It looked like it was just made from regular bread. I feel like I could make better toasts at home. The chicken tenders were average. The Slim Sauce was pretty good. It's kinda like fry sauce but on the sweeter side, which I liked. The fries portion given was generous, though, so I was happy about that. The place is pretty big and clean. read more

I have kept coming to this location because it's the closest one around! I love both the chicken and the okra. But this location has kept getting more and more chintzy!!! Everything tastes just fine, But this location is the only one to skimp on my meal... read more

Good food but the size of the chicken tenders are definitely SLIM! The fries were crisp and nicely seasoned. The sauces were great. The chicken tenders were good but super slim! They were close to the size of my pointer finger. I was very surprised with how small they were. I received four tenders when I ordered the three piece meal. The amount of chicken I received and price of the meal, I left feeling ripped off. read more

My husband and I came here on a late Sunday afternoon the place wasn't busy at all. I got the Chicken club sandwich, it was decent size and fresh crispy lettuce and crunchy bacon. I got fries which were hot and subbed out my drink for a strawberry shake. I loved the shake, had just enough strawberry flavor and seeds to be well balanced. Just a tip if you want sauce to dip your fries in you'll have to ask for it. My husband got the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich, fried mushrooms, and a vanilla shake. His sandwich was good, fried mushrooms were better than fries for him and his shake was nice and smooth like a vanilla frosty. It atmosphere was open and inviting. Four tvs on each corner of the seating inside. They also had a semi outdoor section which would be fun in the summer. The bathrooms were also clean and fashionable. Quick service. read more

My husband and I had a dessert date in Pleasant Grove at 5pm. We needed some dinner after dessert, and since we are never in the area, we decided to try Slim Chickens. When we pulled up to the drive-through, there was no one else in line, which is always nice. The young lady taking our order was really sweet and made sure that she got our order right which was difficult since we ordered approximately 42 dipping sauces. The wait for the food was not long at all which is exactly what we needed since we had to get home to our baby. The wait and the staff earned an extra star for this spot. Our food itself was just OK. The fries were good, and the chicken was fine. The toast was a little soft/soggy for my liking. The sauces: honey mustard was good, slim sauce was good, and ranch was good. Husband liked the garlic parm, but a little goes a long way. If you need something with a shorter wait than Cane's, this is probably a good bet. But temper your expectations; it is a drive through, after all. read more

I mean, it's another chicken shack, albeit a GOOD chicken shack. Portions are very decent and the pricing is fair and in line with other chicken specialty shops. It's got the regular fare you would come to expect: Chicken tenders, chicken sandwiches, etc. I think what sets this place apart is they have a much more broad selection of sauces and some of their sides and toppings are more than just the basics. Good selection of drinks including some lemonades and fresh brewed tea that gives nice alternatives to a fountain. There are some desserts on the menu that looked good as well. Nice vibe in the restaurant, plenty of room to seat a lot of customers and a nice patio area when the weather permits. read more

Came here on a Friday evening to find it very busy. There were a lot of customers just waiting around for their food and the employees were all teenagers. There wasn't one adult in sight! We ordered our food and it took about 30 minutes for it to come out. While we were waiting, we asked others around us how long they were waiting (they didn't have their food either) and they said about 25 minutes. Once we got our food, we found a melted plastic lid in our max and cheese!! We gave it to one of the employees and he was shocked. He did apologize and gave us another side of the Mac and cheese. The food was good but the service was poor. read more

Well done and quality chicken. A few little things that could be improved but overall pleased with the visit. The chicken is fried well and not dried out. I definitely appreciate that they let you try as many sauces as possible. Tried the chicken club sandwich and the cheese could have benefited from being slightly melted because it was cold. The tomato was like a hard puck. Once I pulled the tomato off though, it was really good. The "ranch Mayo" sauce on there was killer. Give me more of that. The tenders were done really well and were so good with the Buffalo and bleu cheese sauce. Fried pickles were good as well. The grilled chicken in the strawberry chicken salad was a bit off. Like too salty maybe? Anyway, I was pleased with the visit and will definitely not hesitate to visit again. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. They don't care about your safety. I bought a dessert jar for a little treat for my kids. Well one of the bites had a piece of piping bag in it. Lucky I found it or one of my kids would have choked on it. When I reached out through the comment section (which is the only way to reach them per the website) they didn't respond. So I reached out via social media hoping for a response and they didn't say a thing other than asking way day and location. But never read it or responded after. So here I am having to write a bad review because I don't want anyone else to have to worry about their kid's safety while eating food at a restaurant they loved. Such bad business practice. read more

Definitely my new favorite chicken place! I love that they have chicken and waffles! Their waffle is a perfect balance of a little crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and a good waffle recipe. Their chicken is lightly battered, which I didn't know if I would like that because I like battered chicken, but theirs was perfect! Also, the most moist white chicken tenders I've ever had! No idea how they make the chicken so moist and delicious, but it was perfectly moist! I don't think I've said the word moist enough...moist for those who have a problem with that word ;) McKay was helpful when ordering and giving his tips on sauces and spice levels. My husband got the 5x5 which is an incredibly good deal! 5 chicken tenders and 5 wings and fries! A great deal! I also wanted to try their dessert in a jar and got their chocolate Heath brownie and it was delicious! Oh, and it comes in a cute mason jar that you get to keep! Overall: Check this place out! I need to try more of their menu items because I'm sure they are incredible as well! read more

Totally forgot this place existed until my wife asked me if I wanted to try it out when I was on my way to the Taco Bell right next to it. I found this place to be very reasonably priced for high quality chicken and the portions were larger than what you would get at a Chick Fil A for a similar priced meal. I got the Classic Meal which was 4 tenders, toast, fries, and a drink for $10 and everything tasted great minus the toast which was just okay. My one complaint would be the limited sauce they provide based on your meal size, I could only select one sauce for my meal and it wasn't enough for my 4 tenders. read more

I love slim chickens. However, I don't care for this location based on my one experience. I have the slim chickens app and during your birthday month you can get a free jar dessert. I don't live close so it was out of my way to come here to get my jar dessert. I went in the drive thru and ordered the one I wanted. The line moved a bit slowly. I got up to the window and showed my free jar dessert on the app. There is a code on the app you have to show them to redeem it. I show the employee my code and she tried a bunch of times putting in the code and she couldn't figure it out and kept saying it wasn't working. My birthday was July 16th and the free jar dessert expired on August 16th. You get one month to use to and I came here on August 5th. So it hadn't expired. It was clearly on the app and she wouldn't give it to me. She couldn't figure out the app and she didn't even try asking anyone else for help. It's not my fault it wasn't working or she couldn't figure it out. I wasted my time coming here since it was out of the way and she just wouldn't give me my free dessert. read more

It was our first time going there and from the start we had a bad experience when asking questions about the many to the cashier. When we got our food and we started eating the wings were okay nothing too special, the tenders where better but they didn't taste like they had sauce (we ask to add sauce) and by the time that I was going to eat the second wing I found (picture included)the wing covered in blood not even pink which is very disgusting and dangerous because of salmonella, I called one of the boys working there and he was very polite and was apologizing for it, he told me he was going to call his manager, WELL the manager came and was very rude and the only thing that she told us is that she could give us an extra wing, we accepted just to be nice and don't cause any drama but the attitude of the manager was the worst she didn't even said sorry. Bad experience overall :( read more

Very tasty chicken! I'm a lover of chick fil a and cane's yet Slim managed to also find a place in my heart. They have a variety of sauces - we really loved the garlic one! We also enjoyed the sandwich. It was delicious, the chicken was tender. You should definitely give it a try! You can't go wrong with the sandwich or the tenders. Love me some decent chicken. Slim Chicken's has never let me down when it comes to delivering a crispy tender. I love their salads and wraps. They don't skimp on the sauce (very important) and if they do, they'll gladly bring you as many sauces as you'd like. Their fries are worth consuming too. The size of the chicken tender is so pathetic here. It's so small that when you get your meal, you're in shock with how much you just paid for it. Texture was not amazing. The grilled chicken is so rubbery. Not worth the money. Food was 1/10. Go to canes instead. read more

While I am a fan of this place and all their sauces, can ya'll stop filling drinks with 90% ice? I'd like to have more than just a few sips of a drink I paid for. It's clearly some sort of weird stingy policy they have their employees enforce since it happens every time I go here. read more

If you have not tried Slim Chickens, drop what you're doing and go right now. There have been a lot of chicken places that have opened within an hour of me over the last two years with the most recent being Caines. I would take Slim Chickens over any of them, every day of the week. The chicken is tender and the breading is fantastic. They have a lot of sauces and all of them that I've had have been great. I really like the Parmesan garlic and the Korean BBQ. You can get your chicken "shaken" in sauce which just means that it's drenched in it which is amazing. The fries are also some of my favorite fast food fries that I've had. The toast is good, nothing really special there. I've been more times than I'd like to admit and I've never had an issue with them! read more

Okay, yum. This place has some dang good chicken! There are lots of good chicken places in the area, but Slim Chickens is my favorite. It's exactly what I want my chicken to be like -- juicy and moist, flavorful, warm, perfectly breaded, and crispy. And the fries were also perfect -- crispy on the outside, soft of the inside, not too thick, not too thin, and perfectly salted. My husband said to me as we were eating, "Good thing we don't live closer because I would eat here every day if we did." The sauces are also fantastic. The cayenne ranch is soooo good! The menu has a good amount of variety for the type of food they sell. At first I was a little disappointed that they didn't have more vegetable or fruit options, but then I saw that they sell salads and coleslaw. There still could be a little more variety, but the options they had were totally satisfactory. The restaurant is branded really well! I love the red accents and simplicity. Everything from the floors to the ceilings is uniform, and it really adds to the feel of the place. I also love that there is a porch area that's covered but has a more outdoor feel. For fast food, this place is great! If you're in the mood for some quality chicken, skip the other places and come to Slim Chickens. read more

Slim Chickens serves chicken tenders, sandwiches, french fries, and other foodstuffs. The food is better than your average fast-food restaurant, but it's still fast food. We came on the soft opening where they used the day to train staff. The menu was limited to a few choices of their most popular items, but it was complimentary. The Slim's Meal is freshly dipped buttermilk tenders, fries (kinda like McDonald's but peppered), and garlic Texas toast. That was a lot of carb for me, so I went with a salad. Slim's Salad comes with your choice of grilled or crispy chicken pieces (yay for not having to cut strips into bite-size), lettuce mix (decent greens, some are a bit bigger than a bite full), and toppings (shredded carrots, diced tomato, fried onions, shredded cheese, cucumbers, croutons, and pepperoncini (banana pepper). They're like most other places that serve it with toppings in their own sections - I wish they'd toss it altogether. Lemonade on tap is made with sugar, water, and lemon concentrate... pretty good. I'd like a diet option using Splenda, but I appreciate that the mixture isn't too sweet. They did a good job with the branding and decor, the sauces are listed in order of spiciness (handy for this wimp) and they have more than what's listed. We dug to Slim's Sauce that's their take on fry sauce with thicker consistency and more spices - it's a tomato base. Desserts weren't an option during the soft open, so we'll come back to try them out. Seating is spread out at the moment (COVID-19) plus there's outside bar and tables with closable glass garage doors and heaters for cooler weather. Staff was all friendly and welcoming. We'll be back to try more things. They're also open Sunday's for those who can't get into Sunday closed chicken joints. read more

I'm always so impressed when I go to a business that is "mostly run by teenagers" and they are polite. Makes me want to return. The girl at the speaker was SO helpful. I was a little confused as to what I wanted and yet she stuck it out with me to make sure I got what I wanted. She seemed to stop and ask a manager or someone for help in answering my questions but was back on quick and helped guide me. At the window the young man reread my order and was pleasant and cheerful. Seems like they like their job!! Food was great! Chicken was crispy and fries were hot! Always a plus! Blech Jonesing for some chicken, thought I would give the new kid on the block a try instead of ol reliable. My mistake. Pricing is high for value. 11 bucks for a Seven tender meal the longest of which was a skinny 3 inches. Flavor is ok but very fast food food service so it's like going to a chain fast food place that is not any good and too expensive COLD French fries that were inedible. Gross stale cold French fries in the middle of the dinner hour says everything you need to know. You were warned. 3 bucks extra for a mayo ice cream sized scoop of slaw. Average kfc slaw. In a container sized for twice as much. The claim to fame of the place appears to be the giant list of bottled sauces you can dip your Walmart freezer section chicken tenders into. I can see why since they have no flavor of their own. Korean bbq. Vaguely ok and best of the sauces Buffalo, weak industrial version Blue cheese, like bad blue cheese dressing from the value store brand, that some one gets rid of by bringing to a potluck. Inferno, woooo I think I am supposed to be scared or at least intimidated by this weird tasting kind of hot, not sure what flavor profile you were going for. Chipotle? Soda only, no real lemonade so kind of boring Overall two is kind of generous. Too many decent places to waste so much money here. Should know not to trust a place for eating with the word "slim" in it. read more

There a LOT of chicken joints opening up lately. The chicken sandwich craze is in full swing. Within 2 minutes of this location, there are 4 other near identical chicken offerings. Although the food is very similar to Chic-Fil-A, what sets Slim apart is the classy branding and clean, inviting interior. The chicken strips are quite juicy and tender with a nice buttermilk breading. The Slim sauce is very unique and I actually liked it. Kind of like a thick tomato soup which might sound weird but it works. I recommend trying it. The fries are pretty standard - good but nothing special. They do put pepper on them which gives them a little more pizazz. The staff are overly friendly and helpful. The place is clean with good seating options. Good alternative to Chic-Fil-A. read more

I have never had food from this chain before, but I was really underwhelmed. It seems like most locations get about 3 stars, and I'd say 2.5 is probably the most appropriate. The service was fine, the menu was fine, but the food is just not good. I had a chicken sandwich meal, and other than the oil from deep frying, it was equivalent to something you could pull out of the freezer at home. Minimal flavor and stringy meat that seemed like it may have been aged a bit too much. Like I said, the experience was fine but I would never recommend someone to go here for a chicken sandwich, even McDonald's is much better. read more

TBH I'm pretty freaking obsessed with this place. I don't think I've had a bad experience yet! My favorite thing to get is the tenders, shaken in the Korean BBQ sauce.
