This is our first time eating here, we asked the kid Isaac what was good on the menu and he suggested quite a few items. (most teenagers just say they don't know or they say everything's good I liked how he suggested items) I decided I wanted to try the buffalo salad since he suggested it. It was so good! He also suggested the scones and they were just as delicious. My husband had a side salad and wings and he really enjoyed them too. We will definitely go there again! The service was really good and all the employees checked on us to make sure we were doing OK. Great service. So, I have to say that these wings are exceptional in every way. I ordered the lunch special with hot Parmesan wings and tots. The wings were meaty, incredibly flavorful and cooked perfectly. I like a crunch on the outside and moist on the inside and these fit that requirement perfectly. The seasoning was not overwhelming at all. Everyone in our group (9 of us) were all very satisfied and will be back. Sports memorabilia on the walls and sports on TV make it feel like a man-cave but the ladies were just fine with it too. They have a good menu selection with some variety. The wing sauce choices do not disappoint. Don't mind the grumpy dude behind the counter, he's part of the experience!! I have been to this place over a dozen times, so I guess you could say I like it in general, but there are some glaring potential improvements that need attention: (1) The mild buffalo sauce isn't mild. It's fine for me, but there are friends and family I might want to treat who would be overwhelmed. (2) They totally totally totally skimp out on the ranch dressing and overcharge the customer if we ask for more. Really? WAY too skimpy. Are dressing costs about to shut down the business? (3) There is a huge dichotomy in the staff members between who obviously care a lot about the customer and who exude arrogance and utter disinterest. Huge dichotomy! (Amongst the owners too!) (4) If they are going to shut down the dining area from 8pm while advertising the restaurant is open until 9pm, this needs to be clarified on the website and on the window. And even worse, don't notify us AFTER we have ordered our food at 8:30 that it has to be taken-out only. Really? Is this the owners' policy, or is it the result of leaving irresponsible teenagers to manage the closing shift? Given the amount of business they get (especially at lunch time) despite the obvious shortfalls, it sure feels like there is plenty of room for competition in the area. I love Rocky Mountain Wingshak! It's a very frequented restaurant for my wife and I. We generally only go during lunch time, mostly due to the lunch special. It's a amazing deal! About $10 for a decent amount of wings, a side and a drink! The wings are always crispy and decently sized, and the sauce is delicious. I love my buffalo sauce so I always get medium, it's not too hot to make it through the meal but has enough spice to quell my taste buds. The garlic tots are really good if you like garlic. I generally just get a side salad with my lunch. Doing Keto generally means no tots for me! I think they might make their ranch in house, it's really tasty and the perfect complement to the wings and the fry sauce seems to be made in house too and goes great with those tots. Third, the have a rule that for every 10 wings you can choose a different sauce for your wing, but an order of 15 wings only qualifies for one sauce. Fourth, so I ordered garlic cheese tots and received garlic cheese fries. This is not s sports bar. It's supposed to be just about wings, but it seems like they don't do anything special to set their wings apart. The tots are not really garlicky and the cheese used is reminiscent of a cheap Parmesan cheese like that used on the spaghetti in your high school cafeteria. It passes more for sawdust than cheese. The prices here seem high for wings and their being stingy on the sauces indicate they are cutting corners to save money. Wings are really all about the sauces and if you're spending nearly $20 on chicken wings, two sauces for an order of 15 is really not asking much. If you are not familiar with this place and you're looking for something new, don't take a chance here, there are just too many negatives for this place to do so.
