In all my time living in Utah I'd never been to Apollo before this week. I was happily surprised when my bf and I walked in and I saw the green vinyl booths and fun decorative wood trim. Our service was good and our food tasty, I was surprised yet again that rice pudding was on the menu and it was pretty good! I think I would've preferred it a bit firmer but the flavors were right on. Not super clean but that's expected from a Burger place. Pretty good burger joint with the famous Utah pastrami burger! We felt like our food was good overall, just didn't blow us out of the water. I guess that's the difference you would expect from a fast food joint and a nicer sit down restaurant. We got pastrami burgers with cheddar cheese and sweet potato fries. I wish the fries were more heavily seasoned, but my husband really liked their sauce! I think this might be the same as Burger Supreme because they taste very similar. However, this joint has worse tasting prepackaged fry sauce. Fries and borger the same. If you have enough gas, drive down the road to Supreme but be cautious because the line might be longer. read more

I've come here since it opened back in the 80s. It's always been better than the standard burger around town. Back in the day. I worked not far away and it was regular for a lot of us. Over time I gravitated to the other items. That's one of the great things about the Greek places. Patty melts, BLT, Gyros, and much more. They've also got excellent shakes. I love that Apollo Burger has a classic burgers and shakes dining room and vibe. It's a great restaurant and I'm happy to have them in the community and that they've done so well over the years. As much as I love them, I wouldn't say their burgers are the best around and I think there are some other places I'd frequent a bit more often. If you're new to the area or a local looking for a new spot, I'd recommend Apollo Burger and especially if you're with a group then they'll take good care of you here. The large dining space and fast service would be ideal for larger groups. Plus they have plenty of items on their menu so I'm sure you'll find something you like. So, I ordered a Greek Salad at a burger joint. Maybe this is my fault I should have ordered an Apollo Burger at Apollo Burger, but I am not eating meat right now. I also ordered a fried zucchini appetizer which honestly was delicious and the ranch was great too hence the 3 star rating because 5 stars for the zucchini and negative 1 star for the salad. Also, totally ate all of them which is why no pic. The services was efficient, I left a 20% tip going through the drive through. Orem used to be the best Apollo burger in Utah! (American Forks is the worst) All of the burgers are amazing and their fries and their shakes are just plain awesome! But during the last few months, they have changed to a different fry sauce. And it is plain awful. It ruins the fries, and it ruins the burgers they put it on. Food fit for Apollo himself! Fresh, quality, fast, and friendly. I don't normally eat fast foods, but this is "healthy" quick food.

I'm writing about the Apollo Burger in American Fork. The place that just went up not too long ago. I have way too limited a menu, they do not let you have ketchup or mustard or Mayo packs. They serve this sauce on top of it that's like thousand Island dressing. If you don't ask them to have it plain they put that on there. Just bad service. I thought I would get this juicy hamburger and $9 later it's a bust for a very plain burger. About on the other thing they offer is ice cream and ice cream shakes. They don't advertise it's real ice cream. I guess if you're starving you could go there but be aware they put that thousand island dressing junk on your burger without you asking so tell him not to put it on there if you're allergic to tomatoes. read more

Alright alright the food is good I thought. I had friends and co workers telling me i need to try this place so I did. I got the Apollo Burger and the pastrami was really good. The burger patty needed a little bit of more seasoning but it was juicy. Now to the staff, a young small lady helped me and she needs better customer service. Needs to turn that resting bitch face and start smiling more. Needs to be more polite and outgoing with her customers. Also while I was eating there she was just really rude to other customers as well. Then another associate started and wow she must really hate her job. ****updated**** Up all night with diarrhea and vomiting. The Texas burger I got made me sick. I wrote the review below while waiting for my food last night. Love their burgers and variety of foods. I also especially love the retro feel inside. Personally, this is huge for me. It's just so darn nostalgic! LOVE IT! I'd give this place a 5 star but the staff is not much. Usually its a bunch of very belligerent teens who look like their super miserable. And the music is horrible! They play some FM pop station super loud, with commercials. It's super horrible! I wish they'd play retro 70 music to fit the decor... that would be awesome! But honestly anything would be better than what they play. Excellent pastrami burger aka Apollo burger. The fixings really are it! Fresh lettuce, thick ripe tomato, big slice of onion. Juicy burger and salty pastrami. We got it as a large combo, for $5 extra. Huge cup for the fountain drink and a massive order of fries. Next time, I will go medium. I would h ave given them a higher review. The food was good, I tried the Utah burger, let say it was meat overload, beef, Gyro, Pastrami and Bacon. I thought this round I would give it a try. I was really good and I would try it again. My mother really like her Patty Melt, she can be picky and father had the fish sandwich. The food ice always amazing. You wonder why the 2 stars, that would be for cleanness of the place, spots on the floor was sticky and they was not keeping the table clean after a custom have left. All the empty tables was dirty and I was almost ready to cancel my order and get a refund. We asked to get the table cleaned and they did. I've been going to this location since I was maybe 6-7. Almost 20 years now. My favorite burger joint down until tonight. This place has been on a steady decline in the last few years. The price seems to go up every time we go there. But today was oddly strange the cashier in the drive thru went out of her way to crumble up my receipt after I paid and when they asked for a tip on their new iPads I did that and when I went to click on print receipt she pulled it away from me. The drinks had no ice in them, the lids weren't on all the way, they were very warm. The drink actually started seeping through the cup. My burger was pretty pink on the inside. Honestly the BEST fish in Utah County. Lightly battered real halibut and large portions (3 pieces). You can actually taste the fish and not just the batter).The salad side is just the right size with a good variety of lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and cheese (also comes with 2 packets of soda crackers). I opted for the onion rings rather than fries and they were crispy and delicious (with Apollo sauce on the side). The platter also comes with tartar sauce and lemon wedge. I went to the Sandy location and said I would never go again. This new location opened and I thought I would give it another go. We were there at 9pm we were the only customers. This new restaurant was a total mess. Two booths had employees eating about 7 other booths were dirty. They also had the order number in them so you were not sure it the table was open or not. Both garbages were over flowing. Also the order counter was a mess they had straws, cups, lids, salt, pepper... in plastic cups. Go to Smiths or the container store and organize that crap. I am happy to report the food was better than my last experience but eating in a dirty room make me wonder what the back looked like. My advice just get food in the drive through. read more

I've gone to this location for years anytime I'm in the mood for a really good burger and fries (and it better be good at $13 for just those 2 menu items). I'd never been disappointed... until now. Prices have gone up, ok, no surprise, but quality has TANKED. The meat was dry, the cheese was clumped to one side of the patty, there was so much moisture it soaked my shirt front (not sauce, moisture flowing from the wrapper).
