    #2 Bacon Cheese Burger
    Matthew K.

UPDATE 7/1/25 5/5 Stars Okay, I take it back. I came back today--this time well before the dinner rush--and this is the Burger Supreme I remember. No crowd, no chaos. The drive-thru was empty (a first for me), and I actually got to enjoy my food without feeling like someone's awkward uncle crashing a BYU date night. So protip: if you're like me and don't like loud places with large crowds, don't go Monday nights (silly me, I should've remembered Monday's were a thing in Provo). Also, I upgraded to the double bacon cheeseburger. Easily one of the best decisions I've made all week. Juicy, crispy, cheesy perfection. Redemption complete. 6/30/25 4/5 Stars I used to hit this place all the time back in my BYU days--sometimes multiple times a week. So since I'm currently visiting Utah, I decided (Finally!) to go back for my bacon cheeseburger fix. Still tasty. Just as greasy and glorious as I remembered. But i hate crowds, so I thought I was being smart by showing up around 9:30 or 10, assuming the late hour would mean a quiet, empty dining room. (Because really, who the heck besides me eats dinner after 9PM?--hellooo heartburn!) Turns out, the answer is: everyone at BYU. The place was packed--wall-to-wall with students on dates, friend groups, and couples who probably just left a ward FHE activity. I'm closer to 40 than any of them, so yeah--major fish-out-of-water vibes. Tasty burger. Slight identity crisis. Would still recommend though..

2nd time, that I headed to Supreme. It was going well, until, I opened the order at home and it was WRONG! I ordered Chili Cheese Fries. I repeated myself three times. She asked me what kind of cheese? I was said regular. I thought nothing of it. I payed $12 and went in my way. Git home, opened the secure package and lo and behold , melted cheese over fries but NO CHILI!! I called and the guy was non apologetic , did not care or give rats tail!! So I just threw them away! I WILL never go there again!!!

Very busy burger joint in Provo. They don't just have burgers they have a variety of different sandwiches chicken steak pastrami Ruben tuna melts. They do have combos with fries and soda. Very cost-effective sandwiches seem to rain from $5.49 up to about $10.19. They also have shakes ice cream desserts highly recommend be ready for a weight interior is dated but nice exterior is under construction so you might need to park further down in the retail shop than anticipated would recommend especially if you like sandwiches.

Burgers Supreme is great in that it isn't your typical burger place. There are lots of options to try. That being said, I have only tried a few of the different burgers they offer. I would definitely recommend the Pastrami Cheeseburger. It is one of the more expensive burgers on the menu but you get a lot more bang for your buck so proportionally it's worth it. The flavors on all the burgers I have tried are ok. I am not a fan of the fries though; Soggy, unsalted steak fries in very small sizes. I would pass on the combos and try one of the other sides they offer. The prices and service are also pretty good and I appreciate the clean bathroom. This place always seems pretty busy as well and that's a good indicator right. I will definitely be back.

When you set out to get there, you'll find Burgers Supreme tucked away in the corner of a strip mall; it's far enough off the beaten path that you won't find it unless you know it's there and are looking.  We found it because I asked Yelp where we could go to satisfy our burger cravings. Tip: We arrived shortly before the lunch rush.  That's a good thing, because when the lunch hour rolled around this place was positively packed - clearly it has a large local following. After perusing the menu and asking at the counter for a recommendation, I went with the bacon cheeseburger combo (which includes fries and a drink) and my friend got the bacon cheeseburger with an order of onion rings.  The bacon cheeseburgers were outstanding; they're served with crispy bacon and perfectly seasoned; the flavor of the bacon works especially well with the nicely charred burger patty.  As for our sides, the fries were good but the onion rings were exceptional; they're beautifully fried to a nice golden brown with the perfect amount of salt added. Service was fast and friendly, with the prices being surprisingly reasonable given the quality of the food.  We'll be back for sure!

But then came the steak, which was flat-out the best I've had in years. No notes. Here's the thing though, I'm not a gnocchi person. Never have been. Our server talked me into it anyway, and I'm genuinely grateful. It's a short rib and stew situation with gnocchi that somehow hits every note perfectly. Total convert now. And the s'mores pie to close out the night? Simply perfect. Don't skip it. The service was great too, our server clearly knew the menu inside and out and steered us exactly right.

However, we did have one drink server where we had some issues with, but our main waitress was lovely. For starters, our table shared the baked ricotta, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, and bread rolls with honey and butter. The brussel sprouts were good, but the bread rolls were my favorite! They were so incredibly soft and pillowy. They honestly didn't even need the bread and butter! I was most excited for the baked ricotta, but unfortunately it was a disappointment for me. Ricotta is a very mild cheese to begin with, but I tasted absolutely zero flavor from it and it was mostly just adding a textural element to the bread. The fig walnut guanciale jam was overpoweringly sweet and the guanciale was also nonexistent. Overall, what I expected to be a flavorful combination, fell pretty flat and bland for me. Onto the main, I got to try the Block burger and the house made gnocchi. The burger was a standard burger, nothing too crazy. I was surprised the patty was actually moist because it was cooked well done. The same jam from the baked ricotta was used, so wasn't a big fan of it because again the overwhelmingly sweet didn't do much to elevate the burger. I also missed any flavor from the truffle cheese sauce. So it was a pretty average burger. My gnocchi definitely tasted better than it looked. Another friend also got the same dish and it looked like they just split our portions in half and served it on two separate plates. In general, I wasn't a big fan of this dish. The braised short rib was very tender, but the whole plate sat in a pool of salty sauce. I couldn't really make out any other flavors. The scoop of crème fraiche tasted exactly like sour cream and was not the consistency that I expected. The gnocchi's were made well, but I prefer mine a little firmer. However, this is complete personal preference. Overall, service was good, but food fell severely short of what I expected. I was so excited for all of these elevated flavors and ingredients, but, sadly, none of them came through.

The server was attentive to my needs, took enough time to have conversation, but also left me to enjoy my meal. Being a restaraunt in a hotel the decor was pretty plain. Open with tables closer together than most would prefer. I really wanted the buffet to get started. Most companies are not as generous as mine giving me a $25 allowance for breakfast, but even at that a $22 buffet does not leave room to leave the server a reasonable tip. They should take this into consideration when pricing. There are many other breakfast buffets that are priced much more favorably and usually have a bigger selection. I opted for the western omlette. It was served with potatos which were fine. The omlette taste fine but was really scrambled eggs with ham and veggies mixed in, cooked, then folded in half and topped with cheese. An omlette with the veggies and cheese stuffed inside a thin egg base is always so much better. Hotel food is usually about convenience, so I got what I expected, decent service, acceptable food and a price point higher than average.

My friend and I had the Traditional Navajo Taco(s) and his wife had the Sheep's Steak Salad. Everything was delicious. I put the "s" in parentheses because the menu is in plural but it really is just one taco. The Navajo Taco description from their website: Our Navajo tacos are a true taste of tradition--crispy, fluffy fry bread tacos topped with flavorful ingredients, served alongside cilantro-lime rice and pinto beans. Whether you're searching for Indian tacos near you, Navajo food, or the best tacos in Provo, this dish hits the spot. Find out why so many call this the top Navajo taco at one of the most authentic Navajo restaurants around. Also known as Navaho tacos, it's a must-try comfort food. It was excellent. The fry bread was nice and spongy and the toppings were flavorful. The refried beans and the rice were also excellent. Not just good, but excellent. She really enjoyed her steak salad as well. All in all a really good meal, didn't even miss the gourmet burgers. So yes, you better make a reservation. And this was a Thursday night. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!
