Located on Liliha street going up to Kuakini on the right side of the street, this family run business has no parking lot only a few street parking stalls which is shared by other businesses in the same building. We ordered take out and one person went to get the food while the other waited in the car. The vegetable with pork & cake noodle was very delicious and the portion is very generous, the food here is known to be good and reasonable, the only problem is the parking, but worth trying! Only Take out orders no seating in the restaurant

It's been awhile since we ordered food from here. I believe the last time was the owners before this one & the food was just so good & full. my little brother ordered a lot of food here . Parking: not much street parking but usually the have in the front. Service: The inside looks pretty clean but small.we phone ordered & my brother picked it up before coming home. I noticed all the food seemed a bit over cooked & very...I mean really oily. The portion wasn't as much as other Chinese restaurants we've ordered from. When we started eating the minute chicken with cake noodles, the chicken smelt weird & my kids were saying it was bitter sour. So I made my brother try it & he said the same. He didn't wanna bother going back so he just took off all the chicken & threw it away & ate just the noodles. But the next day my brother & other half had upset stomach. Would we come back? Sadly no. We'll just stick to our other restaurants we've been going to.

Sometimes you can tell when food is made by someone who knows what they're doing, and someone who just knows the ingredients. Hoy Tin Kitchen falls in the "just knows the ingredients" category. I remember the owners used to be the same as Canton Seafood Restaurant not too long ago. The current owners feel like they are just owning it to own it because the food speaks for itself. This place is located along Liliha St, right before Kuakini St., near Jane's Fountain. Only metered, street parking available. No dine in. Takeout only. $10 minimum for credit cards. Menu is your usual Chop Suey/Cantonese style food. Prices were OK. On par with elsewhere. Food took a while to come out, but it sounds like there's just two people working there. I ordered the Beef and Bittermelon with rice. The portion was a very good amount with plenty of rice. Steaming hot! The main flavors were there: black bean sauce and oyster sauce. But there was something just off about the taste. It lacked salt and sugar (maybe MSG too?) to bring everything together. Overall taste was one note and didn't feel right. The sliced beef was weird. It's large slices that varied in thickness. Some were thin and fell apart, but there were thick pieces that was tough. The meat didn't seem like it was marinated as it was quite bland and not tender. The bittermelon was fine, but the slices were so uneven with different thickness, and different shapes and sizes. Rice was okay. Too much water and had that feeling it wasn't cleaned well enough. Overall, the food was lacking something, missing something, and felt like it was just put together without any thought or focus or care. Everything wasn't prepared very well. Beef was oddly sliced that I've never seen before for stir fry. Bittermelon was sloppily sliced. Flavors were off. I don't think I'll come back any time soon.

This restaurant gets very busy during lunchtime, likely serving many business workers from nearby hospitals and offices within walking distance. They do not offer dine-in service; instead, a table is set up at the entrance to prevent people from entering. Be prepared to wait outside for a while, as customer service can be slow. Today, I ordered the half roast duck for $25.99 and an order of crispy gau gee (8 pieces) for $12.99. Note that sauces are only available upon request, so don't forget to ask for them. The sweet and sour sauce was quite watery and lacked flavor. The roast duck was more well-done than usual, making it a bit dry. The crispy gau gee, however, was perfectly fried with a good amount of meat inside--definitely the highlight of the meal.

Even though I have lived in Liliha for 10+ years now and this place is just around the block for me, I never had the chance to try it. I decided to walk to my doctors appointment and decided to grab lunch on my walk back. I glanced at the menu and they have SO much choices! I decided on the roast duck noodle. I usually go to somewhere else for my roast duck noodle fix, but gave this place a try. It took about 10 minutes for the food to come out and they packaged it really well. I took my food and walked home. I heated it up a little bit more and then put everything into a large bowl. The soup was really clear so I was worried it would be flavorless, but I was wrong. It was flavorful and delicious! There was also so many pieces of roast duck! The roast duck was meaty and savory. There was also a lot of cabbage. I was skeptical at first, but now I can't wait to go back and try the other foods! Glad I was able to support a local store and found a hidden gem in Liliha!

Fried rice is wet now, Caucasian style. The stuffed egg plant is stretched out you can't taste the pork. Fried pork chops ok.

Changed owners, foods not quite the same. The eggplants stuffed is stretched out so much you can't taste the pork. The fried rice is wet. Caucasian style. No flavor.

We decided to give this place a try but found it was so disappointing. First of all parking is almost impossible. Unless you're lucky and street parking is open, you end up circling around or park illegally. We tried house special noodle, ba jun tofu casserole (which basically is the same topping except with some tofu), lastly the crispy fried chicken which is the biggest disappointment. It's definitely refried and it does not taste like fresh chicken.

Egg fu yung, Mongolian beef, Char sui fried rice, exceeded my expectations. also ordered a crispy roasted chicken (Ae) Ono

    84B. Minute Chicken Cake Noodle

Ordered Minute chicken cake noodle: great portion for the price and tastes so good. A bit oily so added some vinegar to finish it up. I also ordered spring rolls: it was very normal. It came with red sweet sauce: it was a bit watery and had it better with some chilies.

Very polite, excellent customer service, and good salesmen lol. Still in the same location, in the heart of Chinatown, in maunakea marketplace, food court side. I ordered the pampano, wife ordered the red snapper, and we was talking about the blue crabs and the guys heard, and did a good job selling it to us. The thing is, they only sold the crabs in a big bulk, like pan size. 2 fish plates, and a pan of crab came out to $100 ish?! I think. Is that a good deal? Idk. lol. Wish they sold it in like 1, 2, or 3 crabs at a time in smaller portions lol. Anyways, this experience was good. They actually went down and picked our fishes for us, but I think the original experience is you go down, pick/buy your own fish, and then bring it up and have them cook it? But even better that they go down to the fish market, grab the fish for you that way no need stress about picking your fish lol Anyway, man they provided a lot of sides, the wife and I, got a side each of scoop of Mac salad, Kim chee cucumber, and Kim chee daikon? To me, they were pretty big portions for sides lol so they served these sides to us first. Yes, and the boys served it to our table. And then served us our food. I think I wanted my fish a little bit more crispier, but was still good. Finally got my pampano fix, and wife really liked her red snapper. I didn't try the crab. Wife said crab was okay. One thing I have to point out is flies. Eating in the food court, for me, personally, no can enjoy eating with flies around. I got to eat and enjoy enough to get full. We were hungry. And we just brought the rest of our food home that we never finish and the pan of crab. Shared it with my father in law. All in all, great experience. 10/10 recommend. Would we come here again? Yes. I have to frickn try the garlic fried noodles, and the wife said she'd definitely go back for her snapper fix again. Go check em out guys!

Lots to choose from so I had to sample a few. Menu is large, so I won't go through all of it. But they do serve local food here to go with the fish. Ordered a sort of plate lunch with lau lau, rice and Hamachi fish. Portions a large and priced well for what you're getting. The fish was great, but I thought the lau lau was a bit dry. Kind of disappointing. What I would suggest is just sticking to the poke if you're ordering here. At any rate, a good time was had by all.

My tip would be to order more nigiri, as the rolls/hand rolls are made with a lot of rice. Very filling. Loved the miso soup! The service was good. Everyone is super friendly! I think that this AYCE is well worth the price. Fish is fresh. Quality service. Only downside is the amount of rice--make sure you go hungry!

I would note that they do close at 8PM and stop seating AYCE sushi quite early (from what I've heard as early as 6:45). We went super early for that reason, specifically at 4, so there really weren't as much people doing the AYCE yet. We walked up to the counter and let the cashier know we wanted to dine in and do the AYCE. A different person then walked us to the other side where the dine in seats are. We're given the menu and an expo marker. Then they came back with the wasabi as well as taking our order (aka taking the menu) We got: - Aburi salmon !!, ahi, Hamachi !!, ebi, scallop - Shrimp tempura, vegetable tempura!!, calamari!! - Unagi nigiri !! - Green dragon roll - Fire cracker roll - Baked mussels !! Everything was good, the menu is not super expansive with much less choices than, for example, Kan Sushi. I would also note that they kind of pack each piece with rice. I'm unsure how strict they are regarding the left over rice policies, but if you'd definitely get full very quickly with their rice to fish ratio. I'd recommend the aburi items (maybe except the ebi as it felt especially small the amount of rice). I wouldn't recommend their shrimp tempura as it is definitely pre-packaged shrimp tempura refried. (I also put an "!!" next to the items I would REALLY recommend. Otherwise, I don't think I will come back. Not that it was a bad experience or anything but in my opinion there's just simply better AYCE sushi spots out there.
