Cause the Hawaiian Poke smelled and tasted like either dish detergent or pine sol please people rinse your mixing bowls and utensils well.
Went for the first time a few weeks ago and ordered a poke bowl and a side tray of uni. The whole place looked really dirty, but thankfully there weren't any flies or bugs visible. Poke was fine. The uni was really gross. I don't think it was old (it smelled okay), but it was dried out and I literally had to scrape the pieces off of the wooden tray. I won't be returning. There are cleaner restaurants with poke that is of equal or better quality.
Keeaumoku Seafood is a small and unassuming take-out spot serving fresh fish at a great price! Although the restaurant is a bit worn, the service is fast, friendly and efficient. The sashimi platters and sashimi salads are must orders!
I've been coming here for yearsss. Keeaumoku Seafood has to be one of my go-to spots for poke, sashimi and platters. Fish is always fresh. Workers there are always on it. Basically a regular that they remember my order! Their prices are comparingly good. If it is your first time there, the fish smell could be unpleasant if you're not used to it. They also accept phone orders. Parking is limited to the few stalls out front.
What a hidden gem! This review is for their Spicy Ahi Poke, courtesy of a fellow foodie who was kind enough to share this dish with me -- and what a treat it was! The seasoning struck a perfect balance, flavorful without being overly creamy as some spicy ahi can be. The fish was undeniably fresh, and the addition of masago added a delightful pop of texture that rounded out each bite beautifully. The combination of the spicy ahi and warm rice was pure magic -- comforting yet vibrant in flavor. After browsing their menu and reading other Yelpers' glowing reviews, I'm already planning a visit to try their sashimi and other offerings. This spot is truly a hidden gem worth checking out at least once!
Keaaumoku Seafood knows how to cook up ono salmon belly and their poke tastes so fresh! Shoutout to the lady working for letting me sample almost all of their poke because I couldn't decide which one I wanted. And yes they were all delicious! I ended up going with the sesame poke which came with the salmon belly plate along with a side of kimchi and taegu. We went around lunch time which can get pretty busy. Also, limited parking is available in front of the store or along the street. Go check them out!

Rich flaky crispy but soft salmon belly on a bed of white rice and furikake. I always got the spicy ahi which was fresh from the auction that morning. And a side of the Taegu and kimchi. Been getting this for years and has always been the best! Recently came here to get lunch, and got my typical salmon plate and switched it up and got the hamachi poke. The hamachi poke was a solid choice and was delicious. However the salmon it's self seemed to be slightly over cooked and had less belly than it normally does :( I only mention this because it's the third time I came where the salmon was like this consistently. The salmon was still good but it's sad that it's not the same as it used to be. Always park along the side road. Getting in and out from that front parking lot can be crazy. Always call in your order. They stay crazy now so gotta plan ahead.
This is a Hole in the wall type of take out spot. I'm so glad I tried it! My husband got the poke bowl with Hawaiian tuna and I got the salmon belly plate which comes with a side of Kimchi and side of poke. We were able to substitute kimchi for cucumber kimchi. So good! The salmon belly was cooked perfected! Moist, flaky, and the skin was crispy! The cucumber kimchi was crunchy yum! and the Hawaiian tuna poke was so fresh! Highly rec this spot!
Been a while since I've taken a lunch break, so nice to get some fresh fish. Salmon Belly + Spicy Ahi - Salmon was delish. Choooooke rice. Did not like the Spicy Ahi...too much overpowering sauce so could barely even taste the fish...they changed the recipe too so not to my liking. Super little bit taegu and kim chee...wish they gave more cuz baby loved the taegu. Hubs and Ma got Ahi Belly + Hawaiian - Ahi belly good, Hawaiian much better than the spicy. Good, but not as good as before...

This place was on my radar for sometime now, just never got around to popping in. That ended today as got the Salmon Belly & Oyster Sauce Poke Plate for mommy and Ahi Belly & Hamachi Sashimi Plate. We were pleasantly surprised and both over the moon for our plates. The fried ahi and salmon belly had a nice crunchy outside and a moist and soft center. The poke was fresh and mommy said one of the best she had had in a while. The Hamachi Sashimi was buuuuttttaaahhhhhh!!! The server was polite and food came out as quick as the ahi and salmon belly were cooked to order. The actual place is your typical hole in the wall, nothing much to see but great food :-). The prices are also pretty good considering the fresh fish. We will definitely be back.
Double ahi belly plate is a WINNER every single time !! My husband's favorite... it comes with rice, taegu, kimchee & your choice of fresh poke. This place is busy and so I usually order by phone & pick up. Small mom & pops type feel with friendly service and nostalgic old school fish market type vibe ! Highly recommend
Still my all time fav poke spot! I was craving this for a while and probably could eat this every day if I had the choice. It's fresh fish and their poke styles are unique. I thought about going with my usual "Super Bowl" with hamachi poke & hot masago poke but wanted to slightly switch it up so I got hamachi and spicy ahi poke instead. I debated about getting the sashimi and poke plate or their Hawaiian plate. But then decided, who am I kidding, I'm going to stick with what I usually get and it did not disappoint! The staff there always remember me and are nice and friendly to me. The parking is not really easily accessible and you have to back up onto the main road if you don't reverse into the stall. Luckily no cars were coming so I was able to reverse into the stall. I would highly recommend this place if you haven't already been here. Reasonable prices, friendly staff and good quality fish!
I can't tell you how much I love this place. If I can't decide where to get dinner, this is where I always end up. They have the best poke/sashimi hands down. Their fish is always fresh. They also sell Hawaiian food such as kalua pork and laulau. Their salmon belly plate was my favorite. Now, I have a new favorite. It's the hamachi kama plate $15.95. It comes with your choice of poke, kim chee, taegu and rice sprinkled with furikaki. I get the ahi wasabi with soy sauce. I didn't realize that they sold jelly fish until my friend bought me some. It's around $17 a pound. I get a quarter pound and it comes out to a little over $4. I love the crunchy texture and how they season it. It goes perfectly with the white rice. Looking from the outside, I know this place looks like a hole in the wall. Trust me, it's one of the best poke that you'll ever have. read more

Real mom-and-pop hole-in-the-wall. Couldn't even tell if it was open from the outside as it's so non-descript and worn down. But the locals know, and they've been coming here for years as it has a dedicated following. Inside, two nice Filipina ladies were working the kitchen and the register. This is strictly a takeout place as there is no seating inside at all. When you walk in, there's a big refrigerated window of fresh fish assortment, poke style. Lots to choose from so I had to sample a few. Menu is large, so I won't go through all of it. But they do serve local food here to go with the fish. Ordered a sort of plate lunch with lau lau, rice and Hamachi fish. Portions a large and priced well for what you're getting. The fish was great, but I thought the lau lau was a bit dry. Kind of disappointing. What I would suggest is just sticking to the poke if you're ordering here. At any rate, a good time was had by all. read more

Don't be fooled by the location and the exterior or interior, this is some of the best poke!! All the ladies working were so nice and helpful, excellent service. The poke bowls are very generous and so much flavor! We loved it and will be back for sure read more
I already knew it would be good the moment i pulled up and saw the location and sign Not too much of a parking lot but a few spots available. Definitely a different ambiance and environment than Honolulu lol. I got recommended the double poke and salmon from my Uber driver and it didn't disappoint. Best meal i had in my short week on the island! Going to make it a regular spot to go to when i come back. Customer service was quick, bringing out my order was also quick as well. Don't mind what you see on the inside decor wise it's worth it. I came close to closing and food was definitely running low but i got what i came for! read more
What can I say about this place? I've been coming here for years and it has always been consistent. Tiny little spot that is basically only for to go. No place to sit and eat or dine in. Staff is nice and friendly. I normally get the salmon belly with two pokes. I like the spicy poke and massago poke. The salmon belly is fried to perfection and has nice crisp to the outside of the fish while the inside is still very moist and flaky. Tip; if you're planning on eating this right away ask for them to pack your poke separately so you can keep it cold and the rice and salmon doesn't cause your poke to be warm. I've also gotten sashimi from here and it didn't disappoint either. Fish was very fresh and melts in your mouth. Parking is horrible there are probably 4 spots in front of the shop that is shared with other shops. You're better off parking on the street because getting in and out on Keeamoku is difficult due to traffic. read more

Yummy hole in the wall spot! 4 stars because I'm a little skeptical of the cleanliness (few flies buzzing around, near the food) and because the poke was good but didn't seem stand-out special but maybe it's because of the types we tried. We had one pound of sashimi (platter) hamachi and salmon. SO good and fresh. We also had the salmon belly and double poke plate. The grilled/fried salmon belly was so good! We had spicy ahi poke (just ok flavor) and the sesame ahi poke (a little better flavor). The two ladies behind the counter worked hard and fast. The lady who took my order was friendly. Decent prices in a tiny spot, seems like a good spot for locals. Tiny parking lot but plenty of street parking nearby but I think most were meters. Take out only, not really anywhere to sit and eat; although, there is one bench to wait on inside. read more

I have had this spot on my list to try for awhile and so today since my Whole Foods delivery got delayed 2 days and I had nothing to eat at the house, I decided to try Keeaumoku Seafood via Uber eats. It did arrive fast and tasted pretty fresh. BUT the ahi was so stringy and there was too much sauce. I felt kind of sick after eating half of it. The pickled cucumber also tasted like sweet daikon... not cucumber. read more

After the koko head hike we decided to come here for lunch. It was a small parking lot with a few other restaurants. You walk through a door which was also pretty small but they don't take too long to help you. We ordered the salmon belly with double poke. We got the ahi tuna poke and I think it was the spicy tuna or something g like that. The food was hot and fresh as they cook it to order. We waited maybe almost 10 minutes which wasn't bad. The fish was yummy and fresh as was the poke which was so enjoyable. So glad we finally got to try this place out and it is a good bang for your buck. read more

5/5 Still thinking about this sashimi. I think I got two sashimi platters (each was ~$30?). The picture speaks for itself but the fish was so fresh and melt-in-your-mouth. I preferred the salmon but both were amazing! They have other plates/combo options/poke as well. read more
Don't judge a book by its cover - this dingy hole in the wall has extremely fresh fish for an extremely good value. Don't get tired because you are not staying at this no frills takeout spot - you just pick it up and go! Don't worry, the staff is extremely friendly and efficient, running like a well oiled machine. As far poke, you'll get some of the freshest fish here but others may compete on finish, sauce, condiments, etc. What I really recommend this place for is the sashimi platter - just enjoy the fish in its most simple and raw state. The combination platter gets you a little bit of everything. Their salmon is chewy and tender. Their ahi is fresh as can be. Finally, their hamachi is probably amongst the best I've had in Hawaii. And when you account for the super affordable price point - it's a deal that's hard to beat. You'll be hard pressed to find a better value combination. Yeah, some of the fancier places may have better fish but at what cost? You may be able to find cheaper spots but the fish won't be as fresh and good. Overall, it's hard to beat the value proposition Keeaumoku Seafood offers! read more

Super yummy poke and the laulau just melts in your mouth. I got the Hawaiian combo plate, which comes with a scoop of rice, your choice of poke, lau lau, kalua pig, and a drink. Such a good deal for less than $20! I got the spicy salmon poke, which was so fresh with the right amount of spice. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I arrived precisely at 9am on March 10, 2026, eager to explore. The parking lot outside, adjacent to a busy highway, looked run-down and was completely empty--a surprising sight, since I'd been told it fills up quickly. An unexpected strong fish odor greeted me at the door. Inside, a woman was busy washing dishes, and I couldn't miss the electric bug zapper hanging nearby. The small interior had unclean microwave exteriors, and my first impressions raised concerns about overall cleanliness. read more

When you drive up you may ponder if you are at the right place. The place looks a little run down but the poke could not be any fresher. There was a large assortment to choose from. Service was quick and it was great to see that many of the locals frequent this place as well, always a good sign. They even let us tasty as many of the different types of poke before placing our final orders. And boy they were not shy with scooping up this fresh ahi tuna or salmon into your bowl. Other places work by weight but not here. And they are one of the cheaper bowls we have over the course of 2 weeks and 4 different islands. One of the better ones for sure. read more
