Funny story. My husband and I come every couple of years to visit family and Tiki's was an accidental find the first trip. Now, we make it a point to stop for drinks and apps every time we visit. This time we had the Truffled Edamame and the Kalbi Venison Gyoza. Now to the funny part. I went to leave a review because our experience was great again, but was surprised when I opened yelp to find one already typed out. At first I thought it was an AI suggestion. All this to say, Tiki's is a must if you're walking down Waikiki! There's also FREE 3-hour parking downstairs when you visit. Tom told us of the daily happy hour from 2-5 and late night, and occasionally live music! Original visit (2021): We left the beach in search of a cool place to grab a bite and enjoy some beers! Tiki was the perfect spot! Our wait was short and our food came out quick! Our bartenders Marteen (sp?) and Kama not only provided excellent service, but were a pleasure to talk to! We had the Ahi Poke, the French Dip Sandwich and the Kalua Pig BBQ Sandwich. The BBQ sandwich came out on a taro bun and smothered in guava BBQ! It was our favorite! A beautiful place to dine by the water! It is very pricey, but the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Between the table, we tried all of the fish options on the menu. They were all incredible, but the Macadamia Crusted Fish and Teriyaki Salmon were the standouts. I would go back here again in a heart beat, it was so delicious. Sean our waiter was one of the loveliest person I had ever met in my life. He gave such wonderful food recommendations and was literally a one man army taking care of everyone. He told is to try the special parmesan crusted fish and it was absolutely amazing. The swordfish was flakey and perfectly cooked. The arancini appetizer was quite delicious as well. We came before the hectic time during dinner so we were seated rather quickly. I do recommend patience here because it does seem to be short staffed here yet large crowds. I came here in November 2025 with a good friend to celebrate my birthday, and honestly...this was a moment. From the start, the staff was lovely and welcoming. We had great conversations throughout the night, and although I don't remember our server's name, she was absolutely amazing and really made the experience feel special. I ordered the vegan primavera and it was delicious. The portion was huge (no complaints there), and I had leftovers that were just as good later. Always a win. My friend said her coconut shrimp was very tasty, and her piña colada did what it needed to do. I kept it simple with a gin and tonic. Cant go wrong there. The view, my goodness....just watching the sunset on the beach while enjoying a good meal and live entertainment plus company is life!!! I was staying at the hotel across the street when my group decided to go have drinks and appetizers, we ventured out to Tikis. We didn't have reservations we found out that there was a big line so we decided to go to the bar and you can order from the bar and then have a seat at a table. The drinks were a bit pricier than are at our hotel. Average price was $24 for a drink while we did order some drinks. They were not very strong, very weak more fruity than alcohol.. Atmosphere was fun, but we decided to go back to our hotel which was around $14 for a mai tai. read more

If I could rate a 4.5 l would. The restaurant is located further down the beach toward Diamond Head and the Zoo. It's a quick walk from central Waikiki. The restaurant is on the third floor of a hotel right across the street from the beach. It's a great location. Even at lunch they had live music. Fun atmosphere for sure! The staff was friendly and efficient. Our server took the time to chat with us - you can tell he really enjoyed learning a little about the people at his tables. And now for the food and drink. I started with a mocktail - the Li Hing Mui Pineapple Colada. It was perfect for a warm day looking at the water. We had the Island Watermelon Salad - it was refreshing and very tasty. I had the Kalua Pig Quesadilla. I hit the jackpot! The tortilla was made with Ube and the homemade Kalua pig with jack cheese all made it amazing. Corn and tomato salsa, sour cream and guacamole rounded it out. Sounds like a five star review so far, right? It would have been, but my husband's sandwich, the smoked marlin melt missed the mark. He ended up eating some of my quesadilla (which he loved). I do have to say, his sandwich came with fries I have never seen before! They were curly steak fries. We had dinner tonight at Tiki's Grill & Bar in Waikiki Beach Honolulu Hawaii. This is a fantastic restaurant with great food and live music being played at night. The view from this 3rd floor restaurant is amazing. The atmosphere is incredible and we had a great time here. Getting a table can be an issue because they are very popular but we were able to grab a couple of seats in the Lava Bar. It's the less busy bar of the two but we were able to hear the live music being played but our conversation was not drowned out by the volume, a total WIN-WIN for us! We had a big lunch together Duke's this afternoon so we decided to just order a couple of Pupus (appetizers) to sate our appetite. The Brussel Sprouts were delicious and perfectly cooked. We also had some Venison Gyoza which was surprisingly tasty. My Wife doesn't like venison at all and she really enjoyed it after a little coaxing to get her to try it. It was extremely well balanced and not gamey, as venison usually tastes that way. The Prime Rib Poke was really good, unfortunately there was a lot of pipikula aioli on top and my Wife doesn't like aioli but she tried it and she okay with it. Admittedly, I tried my best to clear off the aioli before she tried it and that may have helped. I love their Christmas bar, this is the second year in a row that we've come to their event. The bartenders are super fun and friendly. And the drinks are cute and yummy. The room is filled with every Christmas ornament on the island from ceiling to floor. It is absolutely adorable. There was a long line to get in when we first came last night. But we went around 11 and there was plenty of room. They do close at midnight. There's no fee to get in you just need to buy some drinks. And they have valet parking at the hotel, Just get your receipt stamped. This place also has yummy food and I love their Tiki mugs. They are hot spot for parades because they are on the strip of Waikiki. It's always a fun place where you come day or night. read more

We celebrated our Thanksgiving dinner at this place. It is also our daughter's bday and our post anniversary celebration (again). If you are looking for good food, hang around for an hour or two while enjoying. Waikiki beach view and good food,... this is a place I will recommend. They even have live band music at night. The food portion is generous but doesn't compromise the taste. Price is very reasonable... my grandson had steak for $39 only. We also had their cocktail drinks with souvenir glass. Their service is awesome. I called in tej day before to request a table at the edge for best view of the beach and they did try their best to seat us there. We had a wonderful lunch here with a beautiful view of Waikiki Beach! The salmon is tender with delicious sauce and dedicate truffle flakes. House salad is super fresh, best salad ever! The waitress told us their salad ingredients are from local farm, they tasted very different from most of the restaurants or salads from Whole Foods. My family, friends, and I frequented Tiki's often in the early 2000s when my partner worked security for the hotel (then the Aston). We always loved the atmosphere, the service, the food and especially the live music, which was always the main attraction for us. I'm pleasantly surprised to say that nothing has changed. A coworker and I visited Tiki's twice during a recent work trip, and the quality of everything is just as good as I remember, if not better. I also loved the "new" covering over the dining area; it adds a fresh touch without losing the familiar vibe I loved years ago. Andre was our server both times, and he was fantastic, professional, attentive, and still so down-to-earth in his connection. The three-piece band on Sunday evening was great as well! I even requested a song I could hula to, and they played it without hesitation. The regulars shared that they come every Sunday just to see them, what a wonderful weekly treat. Tiki's still feels like home in all the best ways. Highly recommend dropping in for great food, warm service, and a variety of good live music. read more

I was looking for a nice Valentine's dinner for our wedding anniversary (which is on Valentine's day) somewhere in Waikiki since we had a show to catch at Blue Note for All 4 One. I was scrolling on IG and saw an ad on Hawaii Magazine things to do on Vday and came across Tiki's had a VDay special. Perfect! I tried to book the Ocean View package online but they didn't have the time slot I wanted at 4:00pm. I called and a manager Albert asked me to email them. A few days later Jenni got back to me and was able to help me prepay & book my reservation. She made the process so seamless. We decided to Uber into Waikiki because we already knew traffic and parking was going to be crazy. We showed up on time for our reservation, the staff was still getting set up. Then sat us right away, the weather was so nice and view was perfect. Our server was amazing took our orders, got food out to us fast. Food tasted great. Portion size was the perfect. It was a really nice experience. From start to finish. That made the start to our night. I definitely recommend their Vday special and will be back again soon. read more

We stopped in while trying to find a certain local beer on draft. While we didn't find the one we were looking for we ended up staying for a bit at the bar and enjoying their live music. The space is cool and they have a good selection of food and drinks. The person who helped us was friendly and got us drinks shortly after we sat down, but they did forget that we had already paid when we were getting up to leave and I guess had accidentally put our order in under two different checks since they were busy- no problem, we got it sorted pretty quickly. Just not the same. I had my wedding rehearsal here 8 years ago and dreamed of returning for great drinks and flavorful food. My husband and I were back a few days ago... Service was great. Drinks were mediocre at best... very gimmicky now with a giant syringe to add rum to the PainKiller. Appetizers and entrees both severely needed salt and seasoning... none of which were on the table. Nothing like getting an Ahi Stack nothing added to season it or soy sauce served with it. Chicken and Ube potstickers were pasty inside and an unpleasant texture. Unseasoned Mac Nut crusted Fish with an overwhelming flavor of cauliflower. Please do better Tikis!! Overall, Tikis is no longer a place I'll look forward to going.
