Had such a great experience at Lava Lounge! The tiki cocktails were so fun and delicious--perfect for the Waikiki vibe. A huge shoutout to our server, Duke, who made the experience even better. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The atmosphere is relaxed and beachy, making it a perfect spot to unwind. Would definitely come back for the drinks, the vibe, and the amazing service!

Omg I loved this little place!!! I honestly ate in the restaurant first bc I didn't realize this was kind of part of the restaurant but really not lol...I found it on my way out and the bartender made me feel very welcome, unlike in the restaurant, he even gave me tips on places I shld chk out since I was on vacation alone. All of his drinks were beautiful definitely artwork ....and they were delish!!! I wanted to go again before heading home but I was too tired and needed to pack. Hopefully in the future I can visit again....

Stopped by for drinks because they looked gorgeous. Known for their speciality cocktails, which are so unique and almost too pretty to drink. It was so hard to narrow down to just one to try out, especially because the drinks were quite expensive. Bartender was friendly and welcoming, although there isn't much seating at the bar and it is a noisier restaurant. Overall, given the atmosphere and price, I'm not sure if I'd come back.

The blue dory drink was the hit. Their take on a Bkue Hawaiian, it was served in a fun glass and was nicely balanced and not overly sweet. Our bartender Mikey was great--he managed serving food, making drinks, and entertaining the 12- seat bar by himself, a one-man show of great hospitality. He chatted with each of us, gave us tips on visiting the islands, and was an all-around good host. Instead of cocktail nuts with your drink, they served us some delicious fried dumplings. It's not the hidden bar we thought it would be when we made a reservation. But it was a nice little corner of the Tiki's scene, with SHAG prints on the wall and comfortable stools.

Finding Dory!

Cortney made our experience 10/10! So nice chatting and making really great cocktails. Definitely wanted to stay longer and vibes were the best.

Smoked cocktail

Courtney provided A+ service and the bar bites were excellent! The flatbread and Smokey drinks were great too!

We went for a Mai Tai making class and it was amazing! Austin was our instructor and he was great. Super informative and has a great passion for what he does. Made us feel very welcome! Would definitely do it again.

This is a hidden gem inside of the Tiki Bar and Grill. You can make reservations on resy ahead of time or drop by it is open seating. The lounge has been open since August 2024. They have live music playing throughout the evening. We came here on a Friday night and had such an amazing time. Mikey was our bartender and he was awesome. He was so kind and attentive i can tell he truly cares about his patrons. The cocktails were so good. My husband and i really enjoyed the Finding Dory. Definitely come check this place out if you are visiting waikiki!!

The Pele's Whisper (not usually served in the fish glass) and the Night Marcher.

Okay, so when we first got there it was a little underwhelming but then we met our bartender Aaron who was just amazing and created a real atmosphere in such a tiny area. He helped us make great drink choices, chatted with us and laughed at our corny jokes, but also provided us with great local stories. As my husband says, he was a "cool cat." The food and drinks were excellent. We had a fun time and felt welcomed. Mahalo for the Aloha!

To my surprise, on a Sunday evening after having dinner nearby at Maze, my wife and I walked over to Bar Leather Apron and we were able to get seated right away! In fact, around 7:30 p.m. when we stopped by, there was actually a ton of seating available in the bar. Who would've guessed. If you're in the same boat as me and are unable to find a reservation for your upcoming visit, I would encourage you to stop by and try a walk-in. The first page of the menu lists a wide variety of whiskey based cocktails. Most -- if not all, of the cocktails are pre-fixed with BLA (Bar Leather Apron), and represent a collaboration with the named distillery. If you're fan of whiskey, you'll definitely have a difficult time picking only one. I ultimately ordered their "Take Warning" -- 2021 BLA Knob Creek BLA Single Barrel, Cynar, Carpano Antica, Mezcal, Bergamot Salt. Drinks here are not cheap -- averaging $20 to $25 per drink. Although my drink was very spirit forward, it still felt very well balanced. I appreciated the hint of smokiness from the mezcal that rounded out the end of a sip. Service here quick and friendly. When we received the check, a cute small chocolate snack was brought over as well, borrowed from the menu at Maze. Overall, I can see why Bar Leather Apron has earned so many accolades in its field. Definitely worth a stop by if you enjoy the art of mixology.

Tucked on the second floor of a Piikoi Parkway building, it feels like stepping back in time, a true bespoke bar with vintage art, moody lighting, and comfy couches that make it perfect for couples or a night out with friends. We sat at the bar, which was a highlight, Michael and Tony were welcoming, easy to talk story with, and clearly know their craft. I went with the Barreled Old Man, a smooth, layered mix of bourbon, rye, and brandy that just worked, while my wife's Sesame Veil brought a nutty, balanced flavor that stood out. For round two, the Espressing My Love was a great take on an espresso martini, and Michael built my wife a custom drink off her favorite flavors and nailed it again. We paired it with the smoked mozzarella and salami grilled cheese and Ho Farms tomato soup, and this is where it really hit. The sandwich came out hot and crisp, and when you took a bite the cheese pulled away just right, that perfect melt, with the salami adding a savory kick. The tomato soup was fresh, bright, and made for dipping you didn't want to stop. We were welcomed with a table that had our name on it, a small touch that goes a long way. Prices are on point for the quality and experience you're getting. It's a bit of a hidden, hip spot, not for a quick drink but for when you want to sit, relax, and enjoy it. Parking is tight, but you can park at Ala Moana and walk over, and it's worth it. Next time we're coming back for Grandma's Old Fashioned and the pork belly bao buns. Chat gpt recommended this place and I have to say the AI was right! The place is really fun. You can park downstairs and they valet Park you and they will stamp you for free parking. The atmosphere is a fun vibe. They had live music. It's a indoor outdoor place. One thing to note, they don't serve their lunch menu after 4:00 so we went there expecting burgers and they don't serve them. So we kind of stayed reluctantly. I ended up ordering the guava ribs and my wife got them too. Those had to be the best ribs I think I have ever had! They literally fall off the bone as you're trying to pick up the meat. One of the reasons we wanted to go here was we wanted the options of seafood but one of our adults doesn't like seafood and they said that they had all kinds of stuff, which they do. Our server Maka, was incredible. He brings us out a free appetizer and said that was from the chef. I don't know if it was the chef or him but I was impressed and it was good. It was some kind of little fried dumpling. It was awesome! One of the people in our party had thought he was not going to order something and I gave him one of my ribs and after he tasted it, suddenly he wanted some too.
