We found this little gem while looking for a spot to watch the 49ers game, and it did not disappoint. Drinks were strong, smooth, and looked almost too pretty to sip on (almost). Loved this place! We visited this cool little place on 02/21/25. Our server was fantastic I don't remember her name but she had a thick accent. We tried the Casamigos Cadillac margarita, guava margarita, chips and salsa, birria ramen, and the birria beef tacos. We returned on Sunday 2/23/25 for more food and drinks. We had the beef nachos and La Pina margaritas. The guy working Sunday was nice and provided outstanding customer service. The drinks are strong which is great! This place will leave you tipsy or maybe I'm just a lightweight. I came in for a snack and drink and ordered guacamole and chips and a mai tai. Surprisingly, the guacamole and chips were very good. The guacamole was fresh and creamy. It needed a little more salt. The chips were light and crunchy. The mai tai was good and strong - sweet, sour, tropical and boozy. I felt tipsy within 30 minutes. Service was excellent and the vibe was relaxed and casual. The bartender was friendly and my food came out quickly. Thank goodness I was in walking distance and not driving. The mai was a strong drink. I drank it all because it was good and wasn't going to let it go to waste. read more

I've rarely experienced service this poor. We stopped in for a drink and asked about a specific item. Instead of answering, the bartender looked me up and down and said, "With an outfit like that, you should be across the street at Dukes, go get your $40 souvenir cup there. You don't belong here." She then turned to my girlfriend and added, "Mhm, you too." It was unnecessary and honestly pretty surprising. The rest of the bar seemed visibly uncomfortable with how she was acting. I walked up to the bar and was immediately greeted by Matt the bartender. He was super kind and friendly. I asked for a menu so I can decide if this is the place that I wanted, looked over the menu, decide to sit down. I asked for a Cadillac margarita, unfortunately, I fix my like it at first, but he did remake it for me and was perfect the second time (I am VERY picky when it comes to margaritas because I love them so much so not on him). I ordered the Local Catch fish tacos by his recommendation, and they were absolutely delicious. I did not get the rice and beans, but it was not needed, burst of flavors from the tacos. I love the music and the bar, not too loud, but also loud enough for good vibes. Seems like all of the coworkers like working with him and just all-around good vibes!! Thank you for the great experience and I may come back after my hike from Manoa falls :) Also, wanted to shout out, bartender/cashier, Jacob!! Very sweet guy with great conversation. I stopped by Tipsy Tiki for an afternoon drink with my husband, my brother, his wife, and our collective trio of small children. It was an easy spot, with as much atmosphere as is possible for a bar inside a Waikiki food court. The bar area was sectioned off and had a definite fun tiki feel, and this was nice, even though we took our drinks to one of the Kuhio Food Hall tables. The bartender was great, fast and friendly. I liked going in to order with my two-year-old, who was really feeling the vibes. My boy was wearing a Hawaiian shirt, and I enjoyed watching him sip a virgin piña colada at the tiki bar. He managed to spill a quarter of it while I took a picture (worth it), and the bartender hooked me up with plenty of napkins. The drinks were vacation perfect, frosty and tropical, the menu heavy on margaritas. I loved the Calamansi Margarita, made with tequila, calamansi juice, Agavero liqueur, honey, and spicy mango purée. Sour and refreshing with a bit of a kick. The other drinks were all frozen and slushy. The Guava Margarita came with tequila, lime, agave nectar, and guava purée, the Pineapple Margarita with tequila, pineapple syrup, lime, and pineapple juice. The Blue Hawaii was blue and pleasantly Hawaiian, made with rum, curaçao, lime, orgeat, and coconut. There's no view from Tipsy Tiki, but it's a cool, relaxing bar with cocktails that taste like an island vacation. Definitely worth a stop if you find yourself thirsty in Waikiki. read more

The lychee martini was fire 10/10. So if that's your thing -- I say try it out! It was worth the travel for the drink. However, the bar is within a mall and restaurant and so it's lacking that tiki vibe that we had hoped for. Other than the sign.. there was not much "tiki" to be seen.. The service wasn't that great either to be honest. The bar was slow, yet the service was slower. My husband also waited longer than he should have to receive a draft beer (only to find out they were out of the beer). So, I waited a while before I started drinking my martini while my husband waited for his beer (which ended up being in a cab). Anyway, I think the bartender was a little too preoccupied talking to certain guests and didn't care much about being quick with the service (yes, it was obvious). However, if you're not in a rush and don't mind not receiving the best service then I still say check them out because the lychee martini was great! read more

While I did not see my favorite tiki drink on the menu, Matt, the bartender, stated that he could make any drink and made a great painkiller. This drink was one-of-a-kind that featured a unique coconut rim, adding a special twist to the classic cocktail- and did not taste like it was made from cheap canned juices. The drink was absolutely delicious and definitely worth savoring; hence, us having two . The vibe was complemented by a playlist that matched the laid-back tropical atmosphere. The bar had seating all around, and it was easy to strike up conversations with both the people next to you and those across the bar, making for a really friendly experience.
