Every corner and every inch of the ceiling is decked out with lights, ornaments, and holiday touches. We did miss the narwal this year as he was nowhere to be found! Every visit I order a different holiday cocktail and this year I tried the Campfire Old Fashioned. Made with Skrewball and Jim Bean, stirred with cinnamon syrup, chocolate and orange bitters, the warm and rich drink features toasted marshmallows on top to tie the whole "campfire" vibe together. So happy to finally have been able to go to The Christmas Bar! It's definitely one of the most decorated and festive Christmas pop-ups here, and I loved the fun drinks and staff dressed up to the theme so overall it was a great setting to feel the holiday spirit. Thankfully we got here before the line got long and the room itself felt pretty stuffy since it was packed, so my family and I moved to a corner with the AC where it was cooler and had less people so it gave us more breathing room. Tips: There's free validated parking for 3 hours, use the restroom before going into the bar since you have to get back in line if you leave the bar, and have only one person in your party wait up front for your drinks since it's crowded near the bartenders. The atmosphere was great, the drinks were delicious, and the A/C is running full blast to provide a delightful December chill... all you can really ask for during the humid rainy season in Hawaii. Their faces reflect the same. Its indescribable and the photos don't really capture how decorated this small space is. The entire place is great for a selfie or group pic, but some with hashtag signs to help out. The drinks are expensive but unique where you probably will never get elsewhere. Located inside Tiki's Grill & Bar is a fun hidden gem, a secret winter themed holiday pop up bar. Everything is Christmas themed, from the decor to the curated holiday cocktails. We ordered the Butter Beer and the Jingle Bell Margarita. The Butter Beer was absolutely amazing, 5/5, the cream soda and butterscotch mixed really well and tasted like a cozy Christmas dessert in a glass. I gave it a four stars coz it's kinda hot in there. The AC is not that strong to accommodate lots of people that they're letting to enter. There was no line when we got there since we came in early, around 630ish to be exact. The price of the drinks were too pricey but it's quite alright, gave us all a buzz after drinking it. This place is located in the back of tikis, and it has a hidden door. It's super small but made the place look extra festive with the condensed decorations. The drinks were more pricy, about $20 each. My one drink (mocha freeze) was super strong which isn't a bad thing, so you do get your moneys worth if you want to get tipsy fast. Overall, I will say that I wish that children were not allowed in the bar. There were small babies and children in there, some were lying on the ground and I almost tripped over one of the kids which could be a hazard with the drinks. Fun bar with great photo opportunities, but a warning: DO NOT put down your belongings to take photos without watching them. We left our bag of Tiki Grill leftovers on a counter kind of close to the hostess station and polar bear while we were walking around taking pictures and having our drinks, and then when we went to leave, it had disappeared. We asked the hostess, who was nearby, if she saw anyone take our bag, and she said yes a patron picked it up and walked out with it like it was theirs. You may say who cares about some leftovers, but these included MOST of a $48 lamb and shrimp dish from Tiki Grill restaurant next door, where our party of four ordered too much food to finish. So probably at least $30 worth of food. I hope whoever took it needed food and enjoyed it. Maybe a sign to not over-order in the future, in addition to not trusting people in what seems like a safe bar. We didn't go to the management about it, partly because the Christmas Bar and Tiki Grill are separately managed and we figured there wasn't anything they could do anyway. Fantastic Christmas bar inside Tiki's Restaurant in Waikiki. So festive, fun, and the perfect rainy day option. We went at 3:00 on a weekday and it was lovely. Air conditioning was pumping and of course the holiday vibes were on point. I'm very picky when it comes to cocktails. I knew that I was not going to enjoy any of the drinks on the menu. I got a butter beer that came with marshmallow fluff on top and it was very sweet. I rated one star down because I'd love the option to upgrade to premium alcohol to avoid the headache. I know, the locals like myself dread coming to Waiks but hear me out: this bar only happens once a year and if I was able to be un-Grinched for the time being here, then it's definitely worth the trip! There isn't food served here as it is just a bar, but you can always step out from the bar and sit down at the restaurant to refuel. As for the drinks, yes they are more on the pricer side (it's Holiday themed drinks) but every drink I ordered wasn't too sweet as one would presume. Every drink was perfectly crafted to bring a good amount of Holiday cheer (for some it could have transitioned them to be the Cheermeister). You can still taste the alcohol in them. And for the little elves and those who prefer non-alcoholic beverages, there are mocktails available for you too! The Christmas Bar is the most festive indoor bar on Oahu. It is located inside Tiki's Grill & Bar towards the back of the restaurant. You'll see a door with a sign and you can push the door knob to go in. Sometimes the door is partially open so you can already see the Christmas lights in there so I wouldn't consider it a "hidden" bar. The interior is completely covered in Christmas decor. There are some areas of the room that have different themed Christmas decor such as a "white Christmas" which has a snowman made out of disco balls with a blanket of cotton on the ground or the extra-large "JOY" letters against the wall. If you look up, there are colorful lights, presents, and ornaments hanging from the ceiling. The drinks are priced at about $20 each and they offer non-alcoholic for some of those. They don't serve food since I didn't see a food menu on the high-top tables. There are no seats, it's standing only. This place is great if you want to get into the Christmas mood or take bunch of selfies or group photos for a Christmas card. As it gets later into the evening, this place fills up and it gets really loud because of the huge crowd. For parking, the Twin Fin Hotel offers valet parking but I suggest parking on the street or at the Honolulu Zoo parking since it's cheaper. read more

Notify the hosts you're there for the bar, and they'll check your vaccination cards and direct you where to go. Once you arrive, push open the door and be prepared to be blown away by all of the festive Christmas lights, decorations, and music! My friend and I arrived around 7:00 p.m. on a Thursday. It was surprisingly packed, and no tables were available. We grabbed a menu and waited in line where someone took our order. From there, we paid at the front and waited for our drinks. We got our drinks at the bar and awkwardly stood around until a table became available. To drink, I ordered the Candy Cane Iced Cocoa. It tasted like chocolate milk with hints of peppermint. The alcohol was subtle, and the drink wasn't overly sweet. My friend also ordered the Candy Cane Iced Cocoa and the Butter Beer. She preferred and raved about the Butter Beer. Just somethings to note, there are both tables to stand and sit at. The menu states a 45-minute time limit, which wasn't regulated. The menu also says that food must be purchased, which wasn't necessary for our case. Parking is available for validation at Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. Unfortunately, when we went, there was an event, and the stalls weren't available, so we had to find street parking. This has been my favorite pop-up bar that I've been to. We sat ourselves at a table, but we also went up to order at the bar. We got the butterbeer and peppermint hot cocoa. Both drinks were made super fast and delivered to us at our table. I really liked the butterbeer. Peppermint hot cocoa was good too. I will say the drinks are pricey. I mean you're in Waikiki and this is a pop-up bar. You're definitely paying for the ambiance as well. I would say it's worth it, but I probably wouldn't come back for a second time. This was the original Christmas Bar that popped up at Ala Moana Shopping center a few years ago. I'm so glad I found it again, it is located in Waikiki inside of Tiki Bar and Grill. Just a reminder this place is super BUSY especially around night time. My friends and I arrived just before 9PM. Their line system was really confusing for everyone. When we arrived there we had to check in with the lady infront and when we asked where the end of the line was she simply said its just where all these bunch of people were waiting. It was a messed up snake line but we were able to figure it out. I suggest you go during the day time because we ended up waiting in line for over an hour. You also get a time limit of 45 mins inside, but not too sure if they really enforce it since it was hectic inside. There was a line before entering, and another line outside of the bar, and then finally another line to get to the bar. When we finally got inside, the placed was decked out in Christmas decoration. I just wished they were playing Christmas Music when we first entered it was more of rap genre. The Christmas music finally started playing when we found a table. One of the staff informed us that we should know what to order before getting in. You are able to order more than one round so that you can have all your drinks instead of going back in line to the bar. We ended up getting the Butter Beer, Iced Peppermint Cocoa, and Boozy Eggnog. The Butter Beer was perfect, super dangerous because you can barely taste the alcohol. The other two drinks were super strong, but still it was a nice holiday beverage. I love Christmas and when I found out about this pop-up, I had to stop by with my husband. The decorations were great and it was a fun experience. There is a 45-min limit, but it seems like it was a decent amount of time to take in the ambience. I had read some reviews about the wait depending on the time you arrive, so we got there at about 6pm. There was a small line for the drinks but it all went fairly fast. There were two room hosts that helped with seating and ordering more drinks after the initial buy. Don't try to seat yourselves, these hosts will handle that for you and they'll do their best to find a table to suit your party, whether you're two or more. We tried the Butter Beer and the Clause-mopolitan. They were ok, very sweet. If you've ever had the (virgin) butter beer at Potter World, I think that version is much better. From our 12/17/21 visit. My friend and I made it a Christmas tradition to visit the Christmas Bar each year--This year I think was our third time going and we were left pretty disappointed by our experience. While it was fairly organized going in--after a vaccine card check, we waited for about 20-30 minutes--once we made it inside the bar things felt a little hectic. The area itself was pretty small and cramped with tables/chairs, both where you could sit down or stand at. I think the best thing were the decorations! There were so many pretty ornaments and ribbons hanging everywhere, which helped set the Christmas vibe and encouraged us to take lots of pictures. Once we got to the bar there was a line for drinks, which took another 10-15 minutes. It felt a little chaotic because there was only one bartender, one person taking orders, and another person charging us for the drinks. My order almost didn't get processed, because the person taking my order gave me the slip of paper instead of the cashier person. I felt pretty bad for the one bartender making drinks for 30-40 people, so I tipped him a little extra. I did like that the person in charge asked if I had a seat yet and that they would help me find a seat once I got my drinks. Once I got my drinks I sat down with my friend and the person in charge asked us to set a timer for 45 minutes, which was fine. My drink (butterbeer) was delicious and my friend enjoyed her nonalcoholic butterbeer. This was when our experience started to sour... The person in charge, five minutes later, stopped by our table and asked if we had our timer on and we showed him our phones. He then thanked us and left. I felt like he was constantly stopping at our table to ask about our timers--which, of course we're going to follow because of how crowded the place was and how others needed the table, but we felt pretty rushed to leave once we finished our drinks. Once my friend and I got up to take pictures, the guy immediately stopped by again to ask if we could give the table away to another group, which we said "okay," because we saw how crazy it was. Feeling rushed by the whole experience, my friend and I took a few more pictures and decided to leave. Our previous experiences with this Christmas Bar were amazing, so to compare it with this one was pretty disheartening. Years prior my friend and I felt like we could relax and take our time taking in all the awesome ornamentation/decorations and feel that Christmas spirit. This year's (2021) experience is really having us rethink this tradition. I understand that businesses are struggling and that they want as many customers as possible--but we barely had 20 minutes to take in the sights and enjoy our drinks. Being constantly asked and reminded of the time limit, and being promptly booted from our table really ruined any sort of Christmas cheer that was going on. In comparison, I went to a different holiday themed bar and hung out with my friends for a good hour and wasn't bothered once about a time limit. My friends and I had a much better experience overall at that other location. I'm hoping next year's bar will be set in a larger location--this might make things a little less chaotic. Ahhh, Christmas. It's such a wonderful time. This place was located at Tiki's this year. I personally loved the whole speakeasy angle they had this time around. It felt so cool to go through the "secret" door lol. Of course I ordered the butter beer, which was muah -- chef's kiss. The decor was amazing. Decorations were literally everywhere. I'd say that it was kinda like Christmas threw up in the sense that there were tons of decorations basically at every nook and cranny. But if you looked closer, you'd see that the decorations were each placed with intention. The sheer amount of decor is really what made this place shine. Definitely appreciate all the effort that was put into this and I'm soo looking forward to what they'll do next Christmas. read more
