Located in Kalihi area, they share a small parking lot with the adjacent business. It is a whole sale kind of place, so, nothing fancy, there are a lot of freezers inside. The staffs are friendly, right after I enter, they open all the cover of their floor freezers for me to exam their product, steak, seafood, extra. They are well stock. I am just checking this place out and not ready to buy a lot steak yet. However, I did buy a pack of mussels and the quality is good, big size. Since I did not buy steak, I cannot comment on the steak quality. Oh, I did ask if the steak is "Prime" or not, the guy told me it is " Choice". They also charged 3% if you pay with credit card. I do not recall seeing any sign saying that. May be I missed the 3% sign. I only find out when I check the receipt the next day when I was home.

Look at those beautiful Big leg & claw! A whole ten pound box!

Update : July 2025 went back to pickup, more crab legs. Prices are up from $120 to $170, $190 range for a 10 pound box of snow crab. To much for me, not blaming Tri Seafood, as prices are what they are! Their customer service is always top notch & friendly, no matter what you buy from them. Got some scallops, pate& curry . Nice to find the pate , as hard to find. The store is well kept you can park next door at Richie's Drive Inn, their good food eatery on King St.

Got a variety of seafoods: milkfish, clams, mussels and some rib eye. Store is clean and price is reasonable. Staff were all friendly. You can park at Ritchie's Drive Inn which is their restaurant. There is a 3% surcharge for debit/credit. They also take Cashapp, Vemmo, cash.

Located next to Richie's Drive Inn across the post office on King St. Ample parking. First time here. Staff were very helpful; packed it up and loaded boxes into my car. Selection is limited, but if you want crab legs (snow and king crab), hamachi kama, kalbi ribs, steak, and various seafood, then you MUST SUPPORT LOCAL by shopping here. Price is descent. Store is very clean and products are neatly arranged. I will return for sure.

(original review posted on Tri Seafood and Distribution business page 9/19/24) These are the same guys who were on Silva St. on Sand Island, they've just moved to a storefront next to Richie's on King St. They also own Richie's so park in the lot and head over to their store and check them out. I had been to the Silva St. location and parking was kind of tight so you will be pleased to know you don't have to circle for parking and you can always grab a plate next door after you are done. Hubs has an upcoming birthday and I saw an ad on FB or IG that they had some red crab in stock and I was hoping they could break down a 10# box, but that wasn't in the stars...yet *crosses fingers for next visit*. The red crab looked like a Snow Crab and a King Crab had a baby, it would be a Red Crab. The two "Joe's" (actually one is Sefo, but he said it also means Joe) who were in the store were helpful and showed me all the things in stock so I could take numerous pics for their very first Yelp review so all you Yelpsters could see that these guys are legit. They had all the makings for a family crab boil, or baby party, or just family barbeque. The store smelled so clean and fresh and everything was frozen and cased up really well. I would say if you need items in bulk for a party, this would be my recommendation for a first call. I wound up getting some 8 oz NY strip steaks at $8 a piece, which is a very good price. I would've loved to have grabbed a tomahawk, but I don't have a small football team to feed right now, nor is hubs Fred Flintstone so Strip steaks will be perfect. They take Cash, Debit, Credit, EBT and Venmo or CashAPP, and FYI, there is an added 3% surcharge for debit or credit purchases so be prepared. Anyone want to go in on a case of Red crab with me? I only want 2 lbs!

great customer service! here mainly for the snow crab ($205 for a 10lb box of 10-12 oz clusters) - they have a variety of other frozen seafood as well

Very disappointing. Text the business this morning and stated they had king crab legs and a few cases. They were not able to put any on hold, which is totally understandable. Get to the shop about 10 minutes later, sold out. That's not why it's upsetting, it's the fact that the workers there told us they sold out yesterday!! Wait, what? Yesterday? But your text says a few cases... "Yeah, we sold out of that yesterday"... Waste of time driving all the way from Hawaii Kai!!

And even after we moved, we would still drive out just to come here for the seafood. That's how special it was to us. The reason why he chose Tamashiro over other grocery stores was simple--it was quality and because of my Nanay (grandma). His mom purchased from here and made so many delicious dishes. He knew what to look for, and he trusted this place. For him, it wasn't just about buying food... it was about getting the best for his family. My dad isn't the type to say "I love you." He shows it. One of the biggest ways he showed love was through his cooking. Even after a long day on his feet cooking for others, he would come home and cook for us. That was his way of taking care of us. I loved coming here with him. It was a five-senses overload--the smell of fresh seafood, the sound of people talking story, the colors of fish on display. Back then when you were allowed to sample a grape or poke to make sure it was good before buying. But more than that, it was time with him. I still remember the excitement I felt when I saw the pink building with the huge crab. I thought back then was to look at everything but now I understand that it meant something more..... something special--time with my dad. It's with a sad heart that Tamishiro Market is now closed. Thank you, Tamashiro, for providing quality food and memories for so many years. You were more than a market--you were part of my childhood

It's just extremely congested and sometimes too busy inside. Cleanliness can be an issue for some but for the most part I'm buying vegetables and fruit and that's enough for me. I used to take my knives to be sharpened in this area but this review is just for the vendors I shopped at. I needed papaya, fresh vegetables and fruits. I saw many vendors that share the same items so sooner or later if you become a regular you will have your favorite vendor you will lean towards. They have vendors that sell already prepared mainly Filipino foods and desserts. They have vendors that sell you fresh fish and seafood as well as fresh meats. I always go to farmers market but I decided to start shopping here. It's convenient for what I was looking for. I see I can buy seasonings and noodles (dry packets) as well as many other things. I will return again when I'm running low on stuff. The prices aren't terrible but not that inexpensive either. You can find some bargain vegetables that aren't pretty but for $1 a piece it's good if you're using them up that day. I say try and go around and see what you can find. Plenty of convenient parking. Nearby outside there's Kamehameha bakery, sugoi'a and other eateries. Nearby is Costco and Costco gas and Home Depot so you can't go wrong.

We were the only customers inside when we arrived but couldn't decide on how many to buy. In a blink of an eye, the place was packed and it took awhile to make our purchase. Seeing the crab cleaning in real life vs YouTube is totally different! It was a quick steam and we had our dinner ready. Don't worry, we also picked up take out from Thai Issan to accompany the crab. I liked that there was a condiment bar at the end to add any toppings you wanted. The fish was fresh and well seasoned, with no fishiness at all. I just wished there was a bit more white onion for crunch, but it was good regardless. The Fish and Chips were really good. The fish was super crispy, the meat was firm, and the fries were nicely fried. The tartar sauce or maybe more of a lemony aioli, was the star. It wasn't your usual tartar sauce; it had a homemade lemony sweetness that made it delicious. My only complaint was that the batter came off the fish pretty easily, which made it a bit tricky to eat at times.
