12/24/20 I'm now ready to review the lobster tails. Think they were about 7 oz, nice size to go with our rib roast. They were EXCELLENT! Really good, nice and firm, not hard...Very sweet and tasty I would buy them again !

Premium "Merus" Cut Red King Crab Portions 2/4oz per piece.  $85 for about 10 pieces.  Lots of meat.

It's so nice to be able to purchase quality seafood from a local distributor. I picked up their premium "Merus" Cut Red King Crab Portions, 2/4oz, about 2lbs. That's about 10 pieces and there's plenty of meat inside. High quality seafood! Be sure to order online or call it in. The staff were very kind, friendly and well organized. Pick up is located in the back of the bldg., not the main front door area.

Always call ahead and see what the newest and freshest stuff is.

Seafood connection is a wholesaler that sells to many of the highest end restaurants. Recently I needed five dozen oysters for a party. I ordered 5 dozen Goose Point oysters which were in the whole shell but also shucked so they were free and clear from the shell and easy to eat. I also ordered 5 pounds of sashimi grade Hokkaido scallops. They were amazing served raw that night and pan-seared the next day. Definitely call ahead and speak to Dominic about your order. Be specific about your needs like whether or not your party is the same day or a few days away and he will recommend either fresh or frozen because you don't want to refreeze seafood unless you absolutely must. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the sea food at a decent price. I will definitely be returning whenever I need large quantities of seafood for a party. Strongly recommended!

And even after we moved, we would still drive out just to come here for the seafood. That's how special it was to us. The reason why he chose Tamashiro over other grocery stores was simple--it was quality and because of my Nanay (grandma). His mom purchased from here and made so many delicious dishes. He knew what to look for, and he trusted this place. For him, it wasn't just about buying food... it was about getting the best for his family. My dad isn't the type to say "I love you." He shows it. One of the biggest ways he showed love was through his cooking. Even after a long day on his feet cooking for others, he would come home and cook for us. That was his way of taking care of us. I loved coming here with him. It was a five-senses overload--the smell of fresh seafood, the sound of people talking story, the colors of fish on display. Back then when you were allowed to sample a grape or poke to make sure it was good before buying. But more than that, it was time with him. I still remember the excitement I felt when I saw the pink building with the huge crab. I thought back then was to look at everything but now I understand that it meant something more..... something special--time with my dad. It's with a sad heart that Tamishiro Market is now closed. Thank you, Tamashiro, for providing quality food and memories for so many years. You were more than a market--you were part of my childhood

It's just extremely congested and sometimes too busy inside. Cleanliness can be an issue for some but for the most part I'm buying vegetables and fruit and that's enough for me. I used to take my knives to be sharpened in this area but this review is just for the vendors I shopped at. I needed papaya, fresh vegetables and fruits. I saw many vendors that share the same items so sooner or later if you become a regular you will have your favorite vendor you will lean towards. They have vendors that sell already prepared mainly Filipino foods and desserts. They have vendors that sell you fresh fish and seafood as well as fresh meats. I always go to farmers market but I decided to start shopping here. It's convenient for what I was looking for. I see I can buy seasonings and noodles (dry packets) as well as many other things. I will return again when I'm running low on stuff. The prices aren't terrible but not that inexpensive either. You can find some bargain vegetables that aren't pretty but for $1 a piece it's good if you're using them up that day. I say try and go around and see what you can find. Plenty of convenient parking. Nearby outside there's Kamehameha bakery, sugoi'a and other eateries. Nearby is Costco and Costco gas and Home Depot so you can't go wrong.

We looked at Costco (they had but they were already cleaned and all the good stuff was discarded), Richard's Meat Market and a few stalls in Chinatown. Fortunately I remembered this place and we walked there. Sure enough, they had tanks of live Dungeness crab. Customer service was friendly but a little slow. We were the only customers inside when we arrived but couldn't decide on how many to buy. In a blink of an eye, the place was packed and it took awhile to make our purchase. When we were finally helped again, we purchased two live Dungeness crabs. She gave us two huge ones! Cleaning was offered but my dad said it'll taste better to keep them alive till we're about to eat them. We politely declined the cleaning and paid. Bring cash! I was going to pay by credit card but they said cash. They probably don't want to pay processing fees. The crabs were still moving around on the way home and up till the moment we cleaned them. Seeing the crab cleaning in real life vs YouTube is totally different! It was a quick steam and we had our dinner ready. Don't worry, we also picked up take out from Thai Issan to accompany the crab. Mink made some homemade Thai seafood sauce. It was the perfect compliment to the plump and sweet crab meat. Yes, she made something in the kitchen! Thank social media or YouTube! Great discovery in Chinatown and we'll be back the next time we're in the mood for fresh seafood.

I liked that there was a condiment bar at the end to add any toppings you wanted. The fish was fresh and well seasoned, with no fishiness at all. I just wished there was a bit more white onion for crunch, but it was good regardless. The Fish and Chips were really good. The fish was super crispy, the meat was firm, and the fries were nicely fried. The tartar sauce or maybe more of a lemony aioli, was the star. It wasn't your usual tartar sauce; it had a homemade lemony sweetness that made it delicious. My only complaint was that the batter came off the fish pretty easily, which made it a bit tricky to eat at times.
