The seafood was really fresh, and the mix sauce in spicy was perfect. So good. We probably finished about 1/2 and my partner was about to face plant into the food. So we took the rest home. So good. We usually get the snow crab boil, and it's heavenly, but I never finish, and we wanted to try the catfish, which turned out to be amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. I was watching a TV show when they showed a seafood boil, and that instantly triggered a craving...next thing I knew, I wanted Kickin Kajun. Of course, I couldn't just think about myself, so I ran it by my partner and he was on board. Out of this world customer service! My husband and I enjoyed a dinner here to celebrate our 13th Wedding Anniversary. Many of the other patrons looked like they were also on dates or celebrating special occasions. There is a paid parking lot with an attendant adjacent to the restaurant or you can park in a metered stall along the street. We paid $1 to park in the lot during dinner. This restaurant is ADA accessible. We brought a gift card with us our sister had given to us as a gift for a birthday. Unfortunately when they scanned it to pay, it was not working. However the staff were so kind and went above and beyond calling the gift card company the next day to get to the bottom of why it was not working. We would like to thank all of the staff for your assistance, especially Jenny, and for making us feel like valued customers. In the end they found the problem and issued us a new gift card. Once we got to the restaurant, we were able to be seated promptly and I was really glad that we called ahead because all of the tables were filled! After we placed our order, our food came out within 10 minutes. - Snow Crab Legs Combo (5/5): We got this combo with the Signature Kickin' Sauce with mild spice because I was worried it would be too spicy. However, it wasn't as spicy as I thought, so if we pay a visit next time, I'll opt in for the medium spice level. The snow crab legs were cooked to perfection and so were the shrimps, clams, and mussels. This combo also came with 2 rice bowls, 2 sausages, 2 pieces of corn, and 2 potatoes. - Garlic Fries (5/5): Very yummy and garlicky. The fries were nice and crispy. The staff was extremely friendly and above and beyond. There was no wait time at all so they were able to fit all nine of us as soon as we got there. The food was absolutely amazing. There's a specific takeout door they had, but we didn't see it and they still let us order inside. It only takes about 10mins for takeout to be ready. After debating on how far I wanted to drive I chose this location over the Kapolei. I pulled into parking lot which was small and didn't have a lot of spaces. Maybe 20 - 30 slots at the most. You will have to pay for parking unless you get your ticket validated at restaurant. There is no bathroom inside the restaurant it's only outside in the complex. The bathroom is the worst public bathroom I have seen. The restaurant does have a hand washing station inside so you do have to use the bathroom for that. The customer service was amazing. I saw the waitress cracking crabs for customers. Which I have never seen or even knew you could ask for that. The food came out it steaming hot and good. The Coca Cola was flat. My brother, dad, and I came here on a weeknight around 6pm. I haven't been to this area in years. The parking lot is very small and there's other shops in this area so the parking lot can get full very fast. This restaurant only validates for 1 hr and their eating time is 90 mins. I believe parking for one hour is free with validation from the restaurant. Unfortunately I don't know the cost of parking as we stayed under an hour. I'd recommend to plan in advance especially if you're coming on a weekend. Or even plan to come after you spend the day in Ala Moana, park there, and walk to this restaurant. It's not super far from Ala Moana and definitely doable. The food here is pretty good! We upgraded to the Kauai shrimp and added another pound of the Kauai shrimp. We got the snow crab legs combo for the three of us. It was definitely enough for the three of us. However, if all three people were extremely hungry, this may not have been enough. We did also order rice to eat with the seafood boil and garlic fries. The garlic fries were okay, I wouldn't order it again in the future. I don't think the fries and the garlic were combined well enough for me. The Kauai shrimp was very good, def don't regret the upgrade. It is an extra $25 as of 09/2024. The service was very quick and very friendly! They gave us recommendations and answered all of our questions. They do not have bathrooms inside the restaurant and it's only outside. Frozen seafood is meh to me. I can totally taste the difference, but I'll take frozen if that's all there is. I usually get the whole lobster or whole Dungeness crab when I eat out. Those are usually alive and kicking before they're cooked. Obviously, the snow crab legs and king crab legs will be frozen. Tonight, I got the whole lobster combo with their mild signature kickin' sauce. The combo comes with 1/2 lb shrimp, 1/2 lb clams, 1/2 lb mussels, 2 corn, 2 potatoes, 2 sausage and rice. This was a lot of food and lasted me two meals. I got the whole combo to myself, since the hubby doesn't eat shellfish. The seafood came out piping hot, fresh, and delicious. The sauce was so good that I slathered it all over my rice and still had enough to dip my seafood in. The servers offer to crack your seafood for you if you're not familiar with how to do it. I grew up eating seafood, so I just cracked it myself. The hubby got the fried catfish basket with garlic fries. He said it was good, but he didn't let me sample, since that was all he was getting. The lemon pepper wings hardly had lemon pepper seasoning and the chicken strips were dry. The crab was good but the sauce was sweeter than usual. We also had to pay for parking? That was first.
