Fair warning to my fellow non-spicy baddies: it definitely has a kick, but the flavor makes it worth it. The fried catfish was another winner - perfectly fried, crispy, and really well seasoned. Came here because of the great reviews and overall the food was good, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. The interior is pretty plain, and the communal hand washing sink from temu in the middle of the dining room felt a bit awkward. After eating, everyone lines up to wash their hands while people are waiting behind them. The crab and seafood were cooked well, but the seasoning was very garlicky. We love garlic, but it cut other flavors. If all you want is to taste garlic, you'll fit right in. We went here on our last day in Honolulu on our staycation. My daughter was craving seafood boil. We had been once before and we decided to try it again given they specialize in seafood boil and were close to our hotel in Waikiki. This restaurant is right across the street from the Royal Hawaiian Center...which is where we parked. They're on the second floor up the escalators across from the Royal Hawaiian Center Starbucks. It's a little weird they don't open until noon on a weekday. I would have thought 11 but noon it is. They opened promptly at noon. There was really only a single employee tending to the host stand and the entire dining room. She was very efficient and helpful but I think they could have used more help out front. We knew what we wanted to order and told her two of the happy hour snow crab leg combos. She quickly told us that they were only enough food for one person each...which...when we re-read the menu...seemed disingenuous. These combos have a lot of food and to say only a single person can enjoy one is not honest. We also ordered two appetizers (mozzarella sticks and calamari) for four people (2 adults and 2 kids). The appetizers came out fast. The mozzarella sticks are good and i was surprised how many pieces are in the order. I'd recommend for sure. Cheese pull galore. The calamari included French fries as well. You could almost eat it as a meal. Maybe it was a meal? We got it with sweet potato fries. Not the best calamari I've had, but not the worst. Generous portion of calamari and fries at least...but the calamari lacked flavor. The seafood boils came out right as we were eating the appetizers. Very fast. They bring them in a big plastic bag which is standard issue for seafood boil. They also set you up with a rubbish bag for each boil bag. They open the boil bag for you and spread everything out for you to view and share. They provide bibs, gloves and scissors with shell cracker built in. The snow crab happy hour bags we got were I think $75 each and included one whole rack of snow crab legs including the body (4 legs). This also included several pieces of clams, mussels, shrimp (we did the peeled which i highly recommend compared to the head on - head on are a mess to deal with especially when piping hot), sausage, potato and corn and white rice. It was a lot of food. I say it's the perfect amount to share between 2 people especially if you have an appetizer. We got 2 for 4 of us and we ate most of it! Very little went to waste. We found ourselves cleaning up after ourselves partly because we both are just like that but also you could tell the waitress was busy with 6 tables. We tipped generously as she did take care of us, though she didn't stop by too much after our food was brought out. The spot itself is in a nice area and i like how they have a little sink area where you can wash up after handling a lot of seafood (the gloves tend to let some liquid through). They usually tend to have sports on the TVs they have. They also serve a variety of beers. Highly recommend if you have never tried. For me, it's one of the best seafood boil places in Hawaii. My cousin had her birthday dinner here during our trip to Oahu. She chose this place because it was right across the street from our hotel and everyone was tired from walking. The seafood boil wasn't the best I've had. We shared a seafood boil with crabs and mussels, and also ordered fried mozzarella sticks, fried calamari, and fried oysters that came with seasoned fries. The fried items were good, but the seafood boil was lacking. It wasn't as flavorful as other seafood boils I've tried, and the snow crab legs were so skinny. I don't think it was worth the price. I'd only come back for the fried items. One thing I liked was that they have a wash station in the dining area, so you can wash your hands without going to the restroom. Customer service wasn't excellent. Staff weren't rude, but they weren't very attentive either. I'd say they did the bare minimum. read more

We were able to substitute clams for extra shrimp but I must warn you they do come with the heads still on! Our order was out within 10 minutes, super quick. The boil was flavorful and tasty. Their service was phenomenal and the food was fresh. Their crab and lobsters were not soggy like many other seafood boil places. Their signature sauce is a little too sweet for my liking but the service and freshness made up for it. They were also very accommodating and welcoming to our large party of 28. After being seated, we waited another few minutes before our waitress came by to take our order. We then waited for another what felt like a half hour, but once we got our food, it was honestly worth the wait. It was pretty busy but slowed down past nine pm. If you're in a big group, it may take a little longer for you to get seated, but we were just a couple and we still had to wait a pretty long time so I could only imagine they did say that there was a percentage charge for parties of six or more anyway I would come back but probably not on a Saturday night when it's pretty busy. read more

So on a rainy Saturday when the Kona low was in full force and we had limited indoor activities, we drove over to Waikiki. There was a brief wait for a table, but as soon as we sat down, three different servers descended upon us one at a time until we put in a couple of orders of appetizers just so they would leave us alone to decide on the rest of our meal. First night on the island and in need of a tasty meal without a long wait. We walked off the main strip and ventured closer to our hotel. Spotted Cajon Crab right above the shopping plaza next to our hotel and decided to check it out. There was no wait, which was nice but sadly the service was mediocre. We were still hungry so we ordered another pound , but this time ordered the peeled shrimp (paid more for that) Cajun mild. Still overcooked, more flavor than our first order but still lacking. Pros: chicken tenders, garlic fries, and sweet potato fries were decent. They also brought out a complimentary dessert of pineapple slices. I have a severe allergy so I couldn't enjoy it, but the rest of my family loved it. We left with full bellies but a little underwhelmed. Located at the Waikiki Beach Walk. Parking is validated at the Embassy Suites but you will still end up paying at least $8. We walked in without a reservation but the place was not packed. Took hostess a while to seat us because they have to prepare the table with a paper tablecloth for the meal. Not sure why this took so long. Just didn't seem too welcoming. Our server wasn't really much better. Didn't check on us much or for drink refills until end of meal. Somewhat young staff here and not well-trained in service for this price point. Prices are a bit high for the amount of food you get. We got the garlic sauce and it wasn't that flavorful to season the boil. Just way too many clumps of garlic rather than the buttery part. Maybe the other cajun flavors would have been better? Couple people in our party had a really bad stomach ache the next day. Not sure if the food wasn't cooked properly. The meal ran a party of 4 about $300. I don't think the food and GI experience was worth that value. Would not come back to this option again. One positive was it looked new and modern. We were initially supposed to go to Ginza Tonkatsu on Beachwalk, but they had a power outage, so we ended up walking over here, 1 block over on Lewers. In the same building as Yard house, on second floor. Luckily they were open, and weren't that busy. Very spacious and clean, plenty of seating. 2 tables outside if you want to eat outside. We got seated right away. All the front of house ladies were super nice and attentive, always checking on us. Vibes were great, they were bumping some jams. We love some seafood boil, we ordered king crab boil, came with shrimp, mussels, corn, sausage, and rice. Wife was super happy with the size and portion given for the king crab. She enjoyed it here better than the last time we went to boiling crab, which is where we used to go, but she got disappointed. All was good. We smashed everything. Oh, we also ordered fries and calamari. Super good. And we also got free dessert. Nice cold pineapples on a stick! I think we may have found our go to for seafood boil while staying in Waikiki. Food was great, customer service was great, ambiance was great, location - in the middle of all the hustle n bustle in Waiks. Don't know where a good place to park would be? We ordered: - 2 lbs of head-on shrimp in white wine garlic butter sauce (mild) - Added sausage to the bag - Chicken tenders and garlic fries for my daughter - Later added peeled shrimp (way easier!) - Plus sweet potato fries The flavor was solid--especially the sauce. Only downside was peeling the shrimp was kind of a chore, so when we re-ordered, we went with peeled shrimp and enjoyed it way more. The sweet potato fries were hot and crispy, and the chicken tenders were kid-approved. The plastic gloves and bibs came in clutch since we didn't notice a wash station nearby. Saved us from walking out completely sauced up. Our server was kind, though a little slow to check in once food was out. Bonus: They brought out a few pineapple slices at the end of the meal as a little complimentary dessert, which was a nice touch. Decided to do a celebratory meal and wanted to try a new crab place, so we decided to do a night in Waikiki. This place is pretty close to the Royal Hawaiian Center, where you can park & walk over (As of May 2025 - Kama'aina: $25 purch IN Royal Hawaiian for 3 hours free parking). The service was friendly, and the sauce we ordered (House Original) was flavorful and had a nice slow heat, because we ordered the Medium spice level. The only damper to the meal were the gnat flies buzzing around our feast, like little annoying vultures. I noticed the fly swishing lessened once other customers were getting their food, and we were about done anyway. Walking into the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was how clean the place looks. The have a wild space and the tables are well spaced. We ordered 2 combos, the lobster and the king crab legs with the signature/dry rubbed and white wine garlic butter sauces. The flavor was really good and the seafood was fresh. I will start my review by saying that not only did they not have a table ready for us at the time we made the reservation for, they were bad mouthing Yelp and the "system" rather than taking responsibility for not having the table ready. I will add the rest of the review once we get seated and try the food. We finally got our seat, outside, as they did not have a table reserved. When we asked to order, the waitress said that she will be with us in 5 minutes. They really don't know what they are doing We finally ordered and were informed that gratuity is added on the check for parties of larger than 6. Perhaps that's why they don't care to provide service to parties of large size since they are going to add the tip regardless of service The food was not bad, it was average, unfortunately it does not makeup for the experience.
