They even came by to clean our table several times during our 1 1/2-hour dinner, which was such a nice touch. Definitely coming back again! Lived in Aiea all my life and finally got around to eating here. Love eating seafood so wanted to try this out. Came in the evening around 6 and it was pretty busy but that is to be expected on a weekend. Waited around half an hour which i didn't mind. Got our seats and ordered the sefood boil combo with the snow crab with cajun spice and garlic. Also orderd a half dozen of oysters for my girlfriend because its her favorite. This place was better than I expected! The portions are very generous compared to Kickin Kajun, and while the sauces are different it was still super tasty and garlicky. I tried the Cajun garlic butter and the lemon garlic sauce. I like how the lemon sauce has a fresh zing to it, the Cajun was a tad salty. The cheese curds were super cheesy and gooey! The baskets here are a good portion if you have kids who don't eat seafood. The service was also good. I would like to say that this is my second time here and my experience was great. We came in right before the dinner rush on a Sunday night and it was perfect. It was slow and service was on point. I didn't get rushed at all. We started with some drinks and some appetizers. Ordered a basket of popcorn chicken and 18pc of fresh oysters. I'm a sucker for oysters and they were delicious. Squeezed the lemon slices on the Tabasco and poured it all over the oysters. Perfect! Also ordered the butter garlic snow crab combo with a side order of the kajun garlic butter sauce. It was definitely fulfilling. I'm not a fan of prawns and prefer more of the shrimp or muscles instead but can't sub anything unfortunately but it's ok. We went on a weekend. There's lots of parking. Hubby wanted to eat crab and we decided to drive down because it's located in Pearl City. The food was delicious. If you love black beans try the clams and order rice. We tried Cajun and mild for crab. It was delicious. Not that spicy. Perfect size for a couple. Customer services is great. We arrived around 445ish and the restaurant was half empty so we got sat right away. We ordered our food and it came out pretty quick. The food was delicious per usual but it was definitely more enjoyable at the restaurant than eating it at home! Service was great, it didn't look like very many of them but they were on it with checking on all the tables. I noticed that the restaurant filled up super quick. I am always craving seafood boil and I think I've found a good spot. I usually get the shrimp and so far, it hasn't been overcooked! Love the consistency. Wow!!! Our guests arrived before us on purpose to give their card to pay for dinner. Doc and I had also slipped our cards to the waiter not knowing what transpired before we got there. Each of us had our own bag of customized items we selected from the menu. You also get to choose your spice level and sauce. You are provided with a plastic apron and a pair of disposable gloves to protect your clothes and hands. I was the only one who didn't use the gloves but I'm glad they gave extra napkins and wet wipes. The food came out piping hot. As soon as we ordered, paper plates and 3 implements were brought to the table to help remove the crab meat from the shells. Use your Yelp check in to get a free soda too. I know this is a chain restaurant but this location taste different. So much flavour and extremely reasonable for the quantity. Also the best string beans I ever had. Cajun King should be at least 4 stars. I've been here several times and the food and service are always consistent. It's a simple, no frills restaurant, but all that matters to me is that it's clean. After trying all the sauces, the Cajun garlic butter (mild) is the best one. I go with the snow crab instead of king because it's easier to eat and cheaper. The shrimp, sausage and potato portions are huge. Their fries and Cajun wings are really good! I'm also surprised at how well their food travels - if you order takeout, the crab, shrimp, and wings will still be good when you get home. And they never ask me to "fill out the rest" of the receipt (aka "tip me for handing you the bag") when I pick up my takeout, so I tip them extra. The parking lot is busy but you'll always get a stall. read more

I never rely solely on yelp reviews when finding someplace to eat and Cajun King is a prime example as to why. They only have 3.5 stars in yelp but in my eyes 5/5 !! It's a pretty big place with lots of tables. I've had my birthday there/food from there 2 years in a row :) they can accommodate large tables, plus I go with my 2 kids under 3, and they can accommodate them as well. The workers are always friendly and constantly checking in to make sure we have everything we need. It's a very casual place, nothing fancy. The food there is the best seafood boil I've had in the state of Hawaii. All of their sauces are good. Very flavorful. I do wish they would make their volcanic spice, spicier, but I LOVE spicy so that's just me. My friends all can't eat it because it's too spicy for them lol. The shrimp are big, crab and lobsters are meaty, crawfish are good when in season. The fried dishes, sausages, noodles, rice are good as well but I mainly go for the seafood boil. I always get extra sauce on the side cause I'm a sauce girl but they def give enough in the bag. I also love their lunch special, salt & pepper shrimp. I need to get the sauce on the side. Friday night and here for a birthday. We have been to this location before for special occasions like Friendsgiving and even for my first my college graduation party! The food here speaks for itself and the flavoring of it is exceptionally memorable. It's a bit stronger for some but I love the Cajun or garlic butter options for most of the seafood. Their black bean sauce is also really good especially when ordering clams. I love that this location is central to everything and in Waimalu shopping center which is nice for family and loved ones to be able to get together. The service is decent and I love that it's one of the fewer places now that still serve Dungeness Crab which is what our birthday girl wanted on a Friday night. We had reservations so there was luckily no wait although it got busy shortly after. With a simplistic ambiance the seafood really is the ultimate highlight. They were out of King crab when we went but usually have that available. Overall a great experience but lost a star due to first the reservation procedure which only allowed a party of 6 or more to make one everyone else is first come first serve. Came here a few weeks ago with a friend for a belated birthday celebration and it did not disappoint. I ordered some clams with medium heat and it was pretty spicy! Fries were delicious and had some good heat to them as well. My favorite thing was surprisingly the green beans! My friend ordered it as a side and it was absolutely delicious. Customer service is A +! They are so sweet and they walk around making sure everyone is ok. My water was never empty, I got everything I asked for. They tried to accommodate us because of our stroller and wanted to make sure we were comfortable. The food is very good although the shrimp seemed very over cooked because it was a little soft and mushy. Overall flavor with the cajun butter garlic was delicious. I've never thought about trying out Cajun King because it looked very hole in the wall-ish... which I have to keep reminding myself that those places usually have the best food! Doesn't have the ambiance of the bigger chained seafood boil places but the food is just as good! Prices are about the same as other places, but I feel like this place gives a little more and the seafood are bigger than most. We ordered combo #4 - snow crab with crawfish, clams, mussels, shrimp, potatoes, and corn... and then an extra order for shrimp because we didn't think it was enough... but it was waaaay more than enough! Most places only give like 2 pieces each of everything for one order, but Cajun King basically doubled everything for the same price! Definitely good for sharing or for yourself if you're a big seafoodie. Service was super nice. They were quick and always offered to take our family photos of our before and after the seafood chaos. Because we had previewed the menu before going in, we were ready to order immediately. We got the number 2 combo and added a pound of snow crab legs. For sauce we got the garlic butter cajun. We tried the cajun combos, including king crab legs, Dungeness crab, and snow crab, all of which were tasty and delicious. These are served in a double plastic bag and you simply pick and eat. One bag can feed 2 adults, but if you have a hearty appetite then order one bag for yourself. Use the plastic bib to protect your clothing. They provide plastic gloves, but we chose to enjoy our meal with our bare hands; nothing like touching food for added flavor. We brought our own pack of wet wipes; you will definitely need more than one wipe. The green beans were super delicious, as was the fresh and raw oysters. Oysters were on the small side. The chicken wings were tasty with the cajun fries. Service was excellent. The waiters made sure to top off our drinks regularly. We were full so we didn't try any of the desserts. Free parking. This is a really great place if you're looking for a cheap and good quality place to eat. I ordered the wings and the service was terrific. The server did accidentally drop 3 wings from my plate. I wasn't aware of this but he told me anyway and even brought 3 wings out for me. I really appreciated his honesty. Their sodas are $3 and they also come with free refills. The food is great the service is good and the ambience is diner style. Your crab, corn, mussels, clams, crayfish, shrimp, potatoes smothered in butter and garlic arrives in a bag! They provide a bib, gloves and wet naps for easy cleanup. My wife just loves it! I enjoy their fried chicken wings with French fries that I always ask for extra crispy and they nail it every time. There is ample parking and they close at 9 pm. They also do not charge you an additional 2 to 3% if you use a charge card which is nice. I tip more when they don't charge the customer a fee to use your credit card. My wife would go every week if I could afford it.
