Not sure how I've lived here over 20 years and never stopped to eat at Bravos. Ive heard about it forever, just never managed to find a time to stop by and eat. Welp. We did it. And we may have found our new favorite go to for pasta. Parking is easy as there's tons of spots as its located under Anna Millers and right next to Pearlridge. Upon being seated by the hostess we were greeted by our waitress who placed a basket of their famous garlic knots on the table. These are by far and away the best garlic knots on island. (I grew up on the East coast, so I know my way around a good garlic knot). Best part is they're complimentary and bottomless...as long as you're dining in. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Opposite window side of the building is a long stretch of wall where you can watch the chefs cook your food.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It reminds me of an old school 80s buffet line in terms of looks. Complete with fake garlic strands and ropes of peppers. Oh, and the neon signs are a definite nostalgia trip.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We opted to try the fried Mozzarella for a starter. Sauce was a little on the sweeter side, but it was delicious. My daughter got rigatoni with marinara sauce and my son got the spaghetti with meat sauce. Both of them loved their food, tho my son's meat sauce had small chunks of mushroom which I had to lie and tell him was just meat so he wouldn't spend the entire time picking out every mushroom. My wife got the vegetarian lasagna and I opted for the Fettucine pasta with chicken and mushrooms in a garlic cream sauce. Both were incredible. Us old folk ended up too full for dessert, but the kids got the kids sundaes which come with ice cream, sprinkles, whip cream and a cherry. My daughter got vanilla while my son opted for spumoni. Bravo Restaurant is our go-to whenever we want to eat pasta! My kids love the mac and cheese and fettuccini Alfredo, and we can't get enough of those yummy garlic rolls! My husband and I usually get the steak and mushroom fettuccini and linguine with clams. Inconsistent. Usually this is our go to spot when we want pasta but lately it has been inconsistent. Some days the food is good and some days it taste weird. Our most recent visit, my fiancé and eldest daughter said their food did not taste too good which they usually order the same thing every time. The service however, we've never had an issue. We got there during peak lunch time and was still seated within 10 mins. Our waitress checked on us constantly and made sure our drinks were filled. Overall... it's good but they just need to work on the consistency of their food. If the food continues to disappoint, we may have to look for another spot. read more

Haven't been here in the longest time but tonight the food / service was just as good as I remembered. The hostess sat us down right as we arrived , and dropped us off some garlic knots. Our server was great, she did not take long to come take our order and they served our food to us quickly. She kept checking on us and refilled our drinks. I didn't catch her name but she was on it. The food was sooo good, my other half demolished his burger and I got the garlic cream fettuccine with mushrooms and chicken. The salad looked good. I have no shame I ordered off the regular menu something I hadn't tried before/ pesto linguini with shrimp and scallops. Lots of mushrooms, shrimp and scallops. I shook on some chili flakes and Parmesan cheese to add more flavor. Two thirds is going home. The pleasant young man must know how to read customers well and recommended Death by Chocolate. It's been a long time since I have eaten here. We came on a Saturday at around 1 pm. We were seated right away and the garlic knots and water arrived soon after. The garlic knots are a little different from what I remembered. They are now a little bigger and crispier. Still very good. I used to go to Bravo's all the time as a kid, so this place is super nostalgic for me. I will forever love their complimentary garlic balls. This was my first lunch experience here. I usually come for dinner. The lunch specials, most come with salad, are a reasonable deal. What I love love love, besides the bottomless garlic rolls, is that they don't skimp on the sauces like most other Italian restaurants. I heard there's a tomato shortage, but Bravo doesn't hold back on their marinara sauce. So great! Leilani Comstock was our server - so nice, friendly, accommodating and professional. Look, I still like Bravo. It's the neighborhood "Italian style" food place. The food is still the same, except prices have gone up. The garlic balls are more like rolls and not as garlicky or oily as before - more "healthy". There's lots of parking and they still serve great beers. This is not the problem. The current problem is that the place is in need of cleaning and a possible remodel. When we went recently there was a smell in the place - like from the bathroom and the booths were "sticky". They're best if you dip them in a side of Alfredo sauce. They also have a lunch special menu if you go before 2pm. During a week day at lunch, you are most likely going to be seated right away. I've been here plenty of times but my most recent visit was not that pleasant. I had dinner here with my parents and everything we ordered tasted great. We got the crispy calamari to share, pesto linguine with shrimp & scallops and the spinach & ricotta cheese ravioli. The calamari was crispy and I liked the two sauces it came with. The pesto linguine is usually my go-to, the sauce is creamy and cheesy and they give a lot of shrimp and scallops! I had a piece of my mom's ravioli and that was pretty good as well. You also can't go wrong with their garlic rolls! I can eat a whole basket lol. So the reason why this visit wasn't a pleasant experience was because towards the end of our meal we saw a huge roach crawling by our booth/window. My mom tried to kill it but it was so fast and we even tried telling one of the bussers but he couldn't get it either. I've pretty much tried every dish that they have or some variation of it and my family still loves eating here today. Today after my doctor's appointment my husband said let's go bravos for lunch. I guess he was ceaving to eat Italian. Lol.. We ordered their lunch from their lunch portion menu and I chose eggplant parmesan and my husband ordered lasagna with Caesars salad. Our appetizer was their crispy seafood includes shrimp, calamari, scallops was ok all I tasted was the calamari saying to my husband where's the shrimp and scallops. My eggplant parmesan was good except for me to much sauce I scraped mostly all the tomato sauce off the eggplant as well as the spaghetti noodles. My husband lasagna was good he said but agreed with me to much sauce. He's salad was good. And yes if you into eating garlic rolls then this place is for you. 1st basket was gone then the server came with another. I'm really not to much a garlic person but the 1st basket was gone. Lunch Specials to be exact and since I was in the area with various errands lunch at Bravo was something I never tried and it's located on the corner of Kamehameha Hwy and Kaonohi St which is quite a busy intersection so don't blink or you'll miss it. Not sure of the shopping complex name but it is a decently sized area with lots of free parking that it shares with several other biz including Anna Miller's which Bravo is located right beneath and I was quite surprised of how spacious it was and after a long day of running around I was so happy to have finally relax and take a moment for myself. The menu is quite insanely large but is very detailed with each menu item is nice and informative but from entree to sandwiches and even a specialties section it was quite overwhelming so I just decided to stick with the "Lunch Specials" which available until 2pm which I barley made in time for. Soon as I was seating I was given a menu and was here comes some bread looking so fresh and fluffy I couldn't resist and inhaled the first one lol after a bit of browsing the menu I started with a fresh Caprese Salad which came with three orders with the classic build of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella topped with basil and balsamic drizzle...yum! So fresh and delicious it was the perfect heavenly bite. Entree it was Eggplant Parmigiana of course omg the yummy classic favorite of mine with two barely visible pieces just smothered with marinara sauce that they're so generous with (enjoy the extra with your bread lol!) paired with spaghetti it was the classic dish that I really miss enjoying.
