Munch on Mi is such a cute and clever name for a banh mi shop, the name sets them apart on an island with competition. Their modern approach to the humble and well loved sandwich enhances the usual ingredients found with new flavors. The pepper beef was so peppery it reminded me of peppered beef jerky. The hot honey chicken was my unexpected favorite, it had an essence of sweetness that was complimentary and not at all overpowering + it was HOTT. The pork was perfectly cooked with the crispy top and succulent center. It tasted like it was glazed with a peanut sauce. I will 100% be back to sample more. One item I would love to see on the menu would be a hot honey lemongrass chicken option. Will try lemongrass tofu next time.

Read about Munch on Mi from our fellow Yelper's. Knew we had to get there and try. I love Banh Mi sandwiches. For me it's all about the bread first and they (Munch on Mi) has about the best I've ever had. A large roll that is crispy outside and soft and chewy inside. Tipped off with that wonderful Pate, Butter, fresh Cucumbers and Cilantro , and don't forget their awesome pickled veggies. The Vietnamese Ham and Roasted Pork are On Point. Probably one of the best Bahn Mi sandwiches on island. Service is wonderful, they're so friendly and accommodating. Catch them at the Liliha Food Court or at their mobile location at the Pearlridge Market on Saturday nights. Highly recommended

Now located at Liliha Food Court. Fresh bread daily and these sandwiches are soo tasty. The Spicy Chicken and crispy Pork were the ones. I love her Tamarind drink as well. She delivered the food right to me.

This business seemed to have moved into the Liliha Food Court recently and today I got to try their Special Combo Banh Mi and Iced Tamarine and it was very tasty, great. Also, the service was very friendly and helpful.

Munch on Mi is such a cute name as well of the logo! I wanted to try the two new places at the Liliha Food Court! The place has picked up since I've last time I've been there. Although, it was sad to see some of vendors were gone, but at the same time I'm excited to see new vendors. I usually order the pork banh mi when trying new places but I saw there was a special combo banh mi which is the combo of their original (Vietnamese ham) and the roast pork. Since it's their special, I decided to try it because I like the crispy roast pork. It was filled with fresh marinated vegetables and small cuts of roast pork mixed with the steamed ham. It was tender and easy to eat. Roast pork wasn't as crispy. I'm not sure if it suppose to have any sauce. It seemed more healthier than I'm used to with the other type of banh mi with a stronger flavor. Nice size bread and not the narrow type, although I like mines a little toasted. All in all, it was good and I would like to try their grilled pork and the peppery garlic beef banh mi the next time. You can pay $18 to have 3 choices. I would definitely come back for more. There abundance of free parking and the lady owner was really nice and helpful! My mom and I love Banh mi sandwiches, because of the marinated veggies in the Banh mi sandwiches. My dad used to make the marinated veggies to add to their sandwiches when he was here with us. Please give them a try. Many other places sells banh mi sandwiches but their parking were limited so this place had abundance of parking stalls so it was a great plus!

A food vendor at the Pearlridge Farmers Market! I'm a sucker for some good banh mi so decided to give this place a shot. I ordered the Spicy Honey Banh Mi and it was delicious. It had a lot of fresh veggies like cilantro, pickled daikon and carrots and it had a good spicy kick! Had quite a bit of jalapenos in it which I loved. The amount of chicken was sort of slim but overall had great flavor. My banh mi was $15 which I thought was pretty pricey. I saw another vendor with a ahi steak plate for $16 a few booths down. I'll come back again when I'm craving a spicy banh mi.

Located in the Pearlridge Farmers Market. The bread was light fluffy and very recently baked. The vegetables were super fresh, cold and crisp. The blend of pickled veggies was perfect. I tried the spicy honey chicken which was delicious. The sandwich is packed full of flavors while surprisingly both light and filling at the same time. While pricey for $15 -it is Farmers Market and Hawaii. Well worth it. The ladies at the counter and friendly and nice. Definitely good and fast service. You can sit down at the tables and eat while listening to some local live music. Parking is plentiful

Sandwiches are very good. The bread is slightly crunchy and very soft. The pate and pickled daikon/carrots are homemade and is very good. Highly recommend trying this place out if you like Bahn Mi sandwiches. Can't wait to see if they open a restaurant.

Yay, I finally get to try my cuzzy's favorite Banh Mi spot, when he comes for a visit from Vegas…read more He recommends this business to me but I never tried it until recently. Bella Banh Mi Cafe is a tiny shop located in Liliha, local favorite for Vietnamese sandwiches, summer rolls, noodle bowls, and iced coffee. Opens daily from 8- 2pm except closed on Saturdays. Before we ate, I had to take a photo opt of our banh mi's. We placed our orders for 3 Banh Mi's, ( Saigon Special x2 ,& BBQ pork) for a very emotional picnic lunch at the park. I got the Saigon Special, first time eating a banh mi sandwich with the Vietnamese deli meats and pork floss in it too, very unique. I love that the bread is crispy and the filling is stuffed. The veggies are pickled just right. This sure hit the spot, comfort food. All in all, banh me approved, please support this local gem, my cuzzy will be happy that finally gave Bella a try and will be back for my next fix, plan to try the other banh mi flavors!

It had everything you'd want in a good banh mi such as great bread, tender pork, and crisp, fresh veggies. I also got their Vietnamese iced coffee, which was nice and strong. I've always knew Flying Saucer exists!!…read more This cool take on the grilled sammie with a twist is the UFO (uniquely fun obsession) in disguise. I've seen Saucer King pop up here and there and have finally got a hold of them at the Night Market at Pearl Country Club and ooohhh it's absolutely out of this world!! Their Classic is filled with (beef, tomato base, corn, onion and American cheese) encased in buttered white bread which is then toasted hot and crispy, it's a fun and yummy snack that's totally portable to munch on. It's sold $6 each or 3 for $15 that makes it a great deal to take some home though there's no mention of reheat suggestions but I'm sure simple toast in the toaster oven will do just fine. Tonight besides the Classic they had "Chopped Cheese-Burger" which includes (Beef, pickles, American cheese, sriracha-mayo) I don't really like pickles so I passed on that obviously but hope to see some other filling besides beef maybe a veggie or sweet option in the future would make me love this Kaui & Maui Flying Saucers to the moon and back. I ordered a Beef pho with the rare steak on the outside like I always do, I don't care for the thin steak well done. The woman ringing up said they will not, it has to be inside. Boy was confused... um, why not?? She said I we do that I'll charge you 6.00, I said "it's already $19. 00 for the BEEF pho and you want to charge me an additional $6 to have the meat on the outside?? I've never heard of such a thing. Why?" She said " because we have to give you more if we put it on the outside." So I ended up getting it in and now I see why, they get away with giving so little meat, only a few slices and not much noodles either. I usually never finish all the noodles, so I knew they skimped on that too. Terrible. Wow.. never coming back to this place.

I love Vietnamese steamed pork (cha lua). Not too many places have it, but luckily for me they did at this location. I got it in my banh mi $12.95. I also got a turkey banh mi $11.95 and a chicken spring roll $2 with sauce $0.25. Their banh mis are excellent. The French bread is toasted to a crisp and filled with daikon, carrot, cucumber, cilantro, mayo and soy sauce. You get your choice of protein with it. The only problem I had with it was that it was mostly filled with veggies and not enough protein. If you're not a banh mi person, they also sell plate lunches such as garlic chicken and short ribs. They also sell pho and saimin.
