Other sun was sweet onion chicken, adding some extra onions, red onions, tomatoes, pickles and cucumbers. What was given wasn't any extra. Only four pickles, a few thinly almost cannot see red onions, few slices of olives and so forth. I also asked for extra sweet onion sauce. I could hardly taste the sauce in the sub! Person on phone said they were a manager or owner and said they don't have to follow app orders only what they want to give you because of their formula! So I ordered a salad that was supposed to be $11. I followed app instructions and put extra lettuce pickles and olives. I ordered provolone cheese and olives. Guess what? No olives, no cheese, a trickle of dressing and less than a handful of lettuce. I called to ask them where was the cheese and olives and the "owner" rambled on about a formula that they follow. I told them I already paid and how would I know about an imaginary formula the store decides to implement. My husband and I come to Kam shopping Subway often to grab a quick sandwich. We actually like coming to this Subway over the others because the customer service we get from the Filipino ladies is stellar! The lady's are always nice, patient, and accommodating. They even remember my husband's order when we goes in. It's a good feeling knowing that they actually take the time to remember their customers. There's not much tables to eat at, so the best thing to do is take out. Food is great. Bread is always fresh, soup is always warm, and cookies are always hitting the spot. They have a variety of chips too. My son loves the Miss Vickie's jalapeño chips, and this is the only place we can find it easily. It's been a while since I've ate a Subway Sandwich. My favorite use to be Cold Cut Trio, but looks like Subway totally revamped the menu! Why Subway at Kam Shopping Center? It's not as busy as other locations in town, most especially at Airport Trade Center which I absolutely find crazy busy at HNL Airport. Parking is also easier and not as congested as other shopping centers. These ladies who make your sandwich are all super friendly and take the time to create your sandwich to your liking. They open as early as 8:30am which is early enough to pick up lunch before my day starts. read more

Lunch in Kalihi, Honolulu, Hawaii... Kamehameha Shopping Center is really convenient for me. It's on the way home (between Honolulu and Kaneohe) and it has everything: from Longs, Jamba, and Times to McDonald's, Baskin-Robbins, and Starbucks. This shopping center has the big names and free shared parking! I remembered that I had a coupon in my wallet and decided to use it - since I was there and I was feeling a bit hungry. I looked at the menu with its new 12 Series items and saw the meatball sandwiches that Rod U. mentioned. Ha! I should try one! Ordering "The Boss" (pepperoni, meatballs with marinara sauce, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese), I watched my sandwich being made fresh. I was asked what kind of veggies I wanted - everything except spicy peppers, please! It sure had a tasty fragrance as I drove home. I cut it in half to show the middle of the sandwich, then, I took a bite. Mmm! I can see how my dad liked meatball sandwiches - the texture is very substantial and satisfying. The marinara sauce had a bit of a kick. I was going to just eat half, but it was really delicious after all! LOL! The sandwich somehow disappeared! Always come to this subway they have the best customer service. The day we went it was busy and there was 3 lady's , went to checkout and this samoan lady who was at the cashier, rolled her eyes. I hate to do one star reviews but this just crossed the line when it comes to cleanliness. My friend and I went on an errands trip and after we finished our errands, we craved subway. I waited in the car as he went out and ordered the sandwich when he texts me that the lady working smacked a roach with her gloved hand that was running across the sandwich paper. She then continued to use the same glove and when asked if her hands was clean, the Filipino lady sarcastically said "yeeesssss..." Seeing her continue to work on the sandwich with the glove, and then seeing the sandwich paper still on the counter not even thrown away, it was enough for us to say never mind. This app is so horrible! 2nd time I've had issues with this app. The special says buy one footlong get one free! And of course I pressed the button and when I got to the store there was no special on the receipt! There were 2 ladies working that I had never seen before. They were super friendly--they talked and played with my baby from behind the counter (peek-a-boo style) and they were super fast. If I could give this rating 0 stars I would. The customer service tonight sucked. The elderly women should retire if they give off the impression that they hate their job and every customer that walks in. As I was saying the vegetables I wanted on my sandwich, the lady started putting vegetables that I didn't want. Secondly, the employees started talking bad about us in Filipino under their breath and mind you we understand, so of course we heard everything they were saying (they also roll their eyes way too much). Lastly, I wanted to order cookies, and as I was telling her which two I wanted, she put her hand up in a way that she was telling me to shut up and wait. HOW RUDE IS THAT? I also noticed how rude the other employee was to the person she was helping. It was hard for him to understand because how soft you're talking but that doesn't give you the right to yell at him. It was as if you were annoyed and just wanted to hurry up so you can go back to cleaning up the store an hour early before you actually close. My daughter and I received the absolute worst customer service at this Subway and were so appalled at the dirty condition of the shop that we left to eat in the car. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and two girls were working behind the counter. Neither of them smiled or even answered when I said, "Hi! How is your day?" The only response I received was, "What do you want?" When I asked to upgrade my sandwhich to a meal, the rude girl took my money, rang up the order and walked away. My daughter wanted a cookie so I stood at the counter and had to call to the girl to come back to ask for a cookie. She responded so rudely and mumbled something under her breath. I decided to try the mobile order for the first time, and was so happy when I walked in to pick up my sandwich because there was a really long line..... I go here pretty much everyday for my lunch. And having the Starbucks next door is a plus too. I usually get the $5 footlong on flat bread with cheddar cheese and all the veggies. Often, I would sample the different sauces to make sure which is the best taste. And mix the cheeses around with the sauces.
