    line out the door
    Angel H.

This is the Panda Express at the Kamehameha Shopping Center. I wasn't expecting this place to be so busy. It was on a weeknight and the line was out the door. No joke! People must love Americanized Chinese food. There's nothing wrong with it. I quite like it myself. Out of all the Pandas that I've been to I received the best service from this location. The manager on duty was named Angel. I remember because she has the same name as me. She rang me up and asked if I was in their loyalty program. She scanned the code on my phone and asked if I wanted to use some of my points for a free entree item. Of course I did. I asked for sweet and sour sauce. She gave a generous amount, not just one or two packets. What I love about Panda is the food is always fresh. They cook them in small batches. They also have an open kitchen so you know everything is clean. My favorite items to get are the chow fun, super greens, teriyaki chicken, Beijing beef, black pepper angus steak and walnut shrimp.

Trying to be more health conscious with less starchy foods like rice and noodles when eating Chinese take out / fast foods. Panda Express has "super greens" which consists of broccoli, kale, cabbage instead of rice or noodles. In addition, had their chicken mushroom and beef broccoli. It was a pretty healthy and tasty plate lunch!! Price is very reasonable and they give generous portions! If you're not as hungry, my friend had their Bowl which had Super Greens & Chicken Mushroom! They were busy but the staff was quick and pleasant. I'll be returning for sure. Only critique I have is I hope they would add some sort of pork dish.

My dad is Panda Express NUMBA #1 FAN! Lol!!!! As the years pass, my elderly father no longer cooks so a great alternative is getting some Chinese fast food grub from Panda Express. Luckily there are many Panda Express outlets all over the island, and yesterday since I was working in the Kalihi area, I stopped by the Panda Express at the Kamehameha Shopping Center. This particular Panda Express location at the Kamehameha Shopping Center is pretty spacious, and the food selection is plentiful. Because this restaurant is in a major strip mall, finding free parking is easy. Depending on when you come here, this particular Panda Express can get pretty busy, but the staff here at Panda's is pretty efficient in processing the many hungry eaters who come here for their Chinese fast food fix. Quick Tip: Keep your receipt when you pay for your food, and go online & do the "customer survey feedback" so you can get a code to get a free entree the next time you come to eat at Panda Express. DEALAGES Yo!

2.5 stars seems accurate. I know better than to have high expectations for fast food chains and I feel a bit silly writing a review for this place but here we are. The pros: Convenient location with plenty of parking Staff are fast and efficient The store is clean Prices aren't bad, especially when they have BOGO offers (I get these via email) Fast and convenient The cons: The flavor at just about ANY other Chinese restaurant is better I don't think food quality is a focus at this company Portion sizes are stingy IMO (see pics) Buying food here does not support small business After a long morning of being stuck on back to back calls, I was starving so I decided to use a BOGO bowl coupon to try the new Beyond orange Chicken. I like being able to order and pay ahead so I walked in and my food was ready. I was pretty disappointed to see that the portion of eggplant tofu was so tiny. It literally had only 2 pieces of tofu!! A few eggplant slices and peppers and mostly noodles (the entree portion was sitting on top of more noodles). The Beyond Orange Chicken was tasty and I love this new meat alternative offering. I hope more fast food restaurants will get on board with this. For the plant based people, planet and the animals. The mixed greens were utterly tasteless so I added sauces at home (chili garlic oil, hot sauce and oyster sauce). It's a decent quick meal option and probably slightly better nutritional value than McDonald's. I like how you can choose how healthy you eat here and the calorie content is included on the menu.

Picked up our 2 choices 1 with Chow fun and the other with noodles. I had the chow fun with Spicy pork & Beef broccoli which I enjoyed it was not too spicy and the Beef Broccoli was tasty and the broccoli not over cooked. The chow fun was ok I wish they put some mustard sauce in when you do take outs. My wife had the noodles with Beef & Tofu and Orange chicken which she enjoyed. Good thing we ordered a head of going down because there was a long line going out the door for customers wanting to order, for phone in orders they have a separate line so we were in and out real fast. We ordered for a fun raiser to help out a school!

It's located in Kam Shopping Center. Their service was fast and portion size can feed 2 people or my lunch and dinner.

Dinner in Honolulu, Hawaii... I had a generous Panda Express gift card to use and I chose to redeem it at the Kamehameha Shopping Center location for our family's 4th of July dinner. With lots of free shared parking, this Panda Express is clean, modern, and efficient. I got three entrees: Beijing Beef (a bit spicy), Chicken with Green Beans, and Orange Chicken (my niece's favorite), and five drinks. My nephew and nieces were surprised with the drinks. I really wanted to get them "Panda Tea" - because they like pandas - but the tea machine wasn't working or they had run out. So, I just got the pre-poured drinks in the display. They turned out to be one strawberry lemonade, two raspberry lemonades, one mango lemonade, and one regular lemonade. Everyone liked their drink! I guess I should return and hopefully, "Panda Tea" will be available!

Cashier dropped our food by mistake. She's very nice and offered to replace it (as they should). But it was different lady who scooped the food. And the food she replaced it with, she only put half in the boxes. Lady, it's not like your pay will get affected or deducted from correcting this mistake!! I mean we paid for these by box not by weight, so we expect it to be full!! The first side order boxes were full, but the food that's replaced was only half full!! The young employees there are very nice, warm and friendly. It's the middle age Filipina lady in her late 40s who is dishonest and bad customer service!!

This place is so good, a little expensive, but worth every penny. My favorite was the curry crab and the salted egg chicken wings! I love their curry sauce and the naan bread. I typically dislike chicken wings at Asian restaurants like this but they really did their thing with the batter and sauce. The fried rice was a little plain but overall a nice balance to every meal. The sauce with their pork jowl was too good! I need the recipe.

Breakdown easily. not spicy at all though. next dish tried - was the pickle fish noodle - first time trying to dish anywhere. Surprisingly preferred this over the beef noodle. a little bit of sour, but just the right amount with the creamy broth mix. This with the chewy noodle was bomb. The sides had larger tables for larger parties. The tables felt pretty close together but we enjoyed the stool/bench chairs we sat on. They were different than what we are used to in restaurants. Our order was taken quickly. We decided to get the beef chow fun, yang chow fried rice, and cheong fun. The cheong fun was good, especially after adding hoisin sauce.
