Located in Liliha across from First Hawaiian Bank and in the same parking lot as Times Supermarket. When to grab a fast dinner we ordered a foot long pastrami sandwich toasted on a whole wheat bun. The pastrami was very tasty and the vegetables were fresh we both enjoyed on sandwich which we split. They have so many choices of bread and dressing, besides the types of meats and they also have a vegetarian sandwich. We lucked out because after we ordered and sat down to eat, it got really busy with lots of customers taking home their orders. I was a bit hungry for something both filling and slightly healthy, so I headed to this spot at 6:50am. They opened exactly at 7 am which is a pleasant surprise. The server was super duper friendly and she knows her veggies really well! I ordered the pastrami foot long, which is my favorite, toasted with provolone cheese. I usually get everything loaded in but this time didn't want the tomatoes, as it makes the sandwich soggy if you intend to eat the other half later... The served is very knowledgeable with most of the veggies as she is a true local here, which made the entire experience very pleasant and enjoyable! This was quite quick and easy! All i had to do is use my app to order my sub sandwiches and i scored a free one! You may want to check to see which locations do offer this deal because not all of them offer this! If you go and they do this offer then you'll be lucky because all you have to do is place your order on your Subway app and you order any 2 subs and the 3rd sandwich will be free...you should see if your vegetables are on the app and make sure they honor the request so that way you know what you want on top and they get it right the first time so people don't have to go back in there and fix it again, which can be a hassle. My dad tricked me into coming here when he told me he was "taking me out for breakfast". What the heck, dad?! subway does not have breakfast......Oh, but they do. Well, I should say that they are open during the normal "breakfast hours" and they serve coffee. It's just too weird getting all the veggies and condiments on a "breakfast sandwich". Also, I am an iced tea kind of girl. I hate soda, and actually look forward to getting iced tea when I go to places like McDonalds and Subway because I know its not that fake raspberry iced tea (it's more like I like knowing what I'm getting into when I ask for an iced tea at those 2 places). As much as I love going to Subway during the work week for lunch, there's a limit to my sanity. It appears that this Subway location is staffed by the same two ladies everyday. Not like it is a bad thing, but still. This place is anchored in the small Liliha Square shopping mall, with the American Savings Bank towering nearby. I come to tha Subway location if I have work business at ASB and at the nearby FHB location on Liliha Street. If not, it's almost always at Kam Shopping Center. The overall experience for this Subway was certainly not unique or new, but good overall. Parking is limited to the stalls for the entire mall. It tends to get busy at times, but doesn't it always. This is probably the worst customer service that I ever encountered. My co-workers always grab lunch at this location since it's a walking distance from our working place. It's always same 3 ladies that's works there. They started giving us attitude when we starts asking for jalopenos on the side and Every time we ask for extra veggies. Lol. I can't blame them for that. But the thing that they got me rage when I paid and she told me my card was declined but after inserted a new card, the lady said "why you cannot wait"? I think that's rude to tell your customer cannot wait to take out the card when the card machine said "remove card". And the lady also told me that, "well, on my screen it says do not remove card". Compared to some of the other subways in the area, this subway at least puts a decent amount of food on your sandwich. I've been to other subways that literally put half the amount even if you ask for extra. The prices are what they are. But I had a dollar off coupon which made it decent, a foot-long for under $10. The weight staff was pretty nice and I have no complaints. They are always pleasant to me every time I call even though I've read some very horrible reviews about the staff at this particular location. I don't get it. But what I did give -2 stars for is that at 10:30 in the morning, I purchase a foot-long sandwich and there are so few vegetables in the bins. She's literally putting a handful or two of spinach in an empty bin, there are no mushrooms, and very few skimpy onions, olives, bell peppers, and jalapeños. They were also yellow banana peppers. But really nothing else. The sandwich was good because pretty much those are all the things that I like in them. I always ask for extra cucumbers and I get about nine or 10 slices. It doesn't feel like extra I realize that the workers may be feeling bitchy at this and other locations. Probably low pay and the owners of the stores limit them to what they can put on the sandwiches. In other words, some workers literally told me that the owner said they couldn't put a certain amount of vegetables with the meat. I guess they don't want "to be caught" over serving. Weird. Subway sandwiches are in a lot of trouble nationwide. It isn't because of stupid Jared and I'm not sure why the mainland may have problems except that the competition out there is probably better. However here locally, I am only just feeling so-so about their sandwiches. They're good, they're moderately priced if you have a coupon, but they are nothing that I would rush out to get. The service is ho-hum and I can get a better plate lunch for $10 elsewhere. Honestly, the owners of these subways need to step it up if they want to continue business. With the lackadaisical staff and skimpy servings, I don't understand how some of them stay open. There are actually two subways that are owned by old Korean ladies. And I'm Korean so never mind any racism comments. Those are the two restaurants with the skimpiest amount of vegetables ever. Nobody wants a Subway with only meat and a few greens on them. OMG soo irraz! This wasn't subway - make it your way. It was more like subway - make it aunties way. She puts whatever she wants into the sandwich and trying to correct her is like pulling teeth! Like she added American cheese and shoved it in the toaster so quick, I was speechless. I didn't even say I wanted american cheese. I did imply I wanted it toasted with mozzarella. She replies no mozzarella, and just added whatever she wanted and bam. Worst customer service. Had the most disgusting experience today ever. Placed an order online. Went to pick it up. Waited 10 mins in the line. This polynesian looking lady started making my order. She picked the wrong wrap, green instead of red..Spreads guacomole on the green wrap, realizes her mistake...scoops up the guacomole with her hand and just transfers it to the red wrap. The gloves were donned after wiping the exterior surface vigorously with her bare hands and then used to pick up the guac. She makes everything, looks in my direction and notices I'm not happy.. Then she literally throws the package in my direction . No smile no apologies for any delay nothing..literally with a f off attitude. I have never been this disgusted my whole life. (We used to go to the Subway on Nuuanu Avenue before it got booted out to make room for the new Walgreens and most of the other Subways in town only have street parking). So, we were pretty pleased to find this location in Liliha (by Times Supermarket). Lots of parking and you can do some grocery shopping or banking at the same time if you need to. The ladies at the counter have always been pleasant. And whenever I've gone, it hasn't been crowded so I was in and out with my sandwiches in minutes. read more

I've been to this location several times because it's on my route to and from school. I've never been disappointed with anything when here. The service is always friendly, even if I pop in right before they close. The vegetables are always fresh and tasty. The guacamole is always great. The tables are always clean. It's never been crowded when I came in either. There's never been more than one person in line in front of me. So it's always been a quick and easy and tasty lunch/dinner. Ordered a 6 inch sandwich no with oil and vinegar. She held oil in one hand, vinegar in the other and poured from outer edge with each to the middle. So half the sandwich only had oil and the other half only had vinegar. Asked her to put both on the whole thing. She then got irritated and flooded the whole sandwich with both. What an asshole! One of the best Subways regarding speed of service, accuracy and generosity of sandwich fillings. Ive visited Subways in multiple cities and states... I could probably eat there daily. Always friendly, I know everyone by name as they do me. Same owner as former location at the Nuuanu Shopping Center taken over by Walgreens. 'Was hoping owner would be able to secure a spot there again. That site had more large table for my 4-5 member crew and always easy parking... we join tables : ) and I'll drop them off while I look for parking... everyone there and my staff knows my order... I came here on two different occasions. My second visit was yesterday, September 28, 2018 and my first visit was September 17, 2018. During my first visit I walked in and noticed immediately that the air conditioning unit wasn't working. I didn't really worry much about it as I assumed that it was only inoperable for a short period of time and that the store is AWARE and will actually do something about it. My second visit was 11 days later (yesterday) and noticed that the air conditioning unit is still down. There were two people in front of me complaining of the heat coming from their ovens. This small restaurant had no fresh or cool air circulating internally. One of them ask if he could open one of the doors to let cool air in but the worker refused because the fly will come in and get to the food. My complaint is that regardless if the food you are serving are cooked. The meat are sitting on a temperature hotter than room temperature. It's like walking into a Sauna!Bacteria's can be reintroduced to most of the meat being served let alone the tuna containing mayo. The temperature of the environment were the food is sitting is very unsanitary. Most people that come to this restaurant have no clue that the air conditioning unit has been inoperable for a while. I don't know exactly how the worker could stand working inside this place for this long and whoever is running this franchise should be fined for waiting so long and not doing anything about it. It's a health concern for the people working there and the customers consuming food sitting in Sauna-like temperature. Something needs to be done here! read more
