Stopped by Bella Bánh Mì for the BBQ chicken bánh mì and the Saigon special--both were solid, especially with that perfectly crunchy bread on the outside and soft inside. The BBQ chicken was savory and paired really well with the fresh herbs and pickled veggies, while the Saigon special had a nice mix of flavors in every bite. My boyfriend had the Vietnamese iced coffee--strong, bold, and sweet, just how you'd expect. I tried the coffee jello with soy milk--it was just okay for me, better if you enjoy soy milk, and not overly sweet. This is more of a pickup-and-go kind of spot rather than a sit-down place, so ordering ahead makes it really convenient. Parking is limited, but there are a few stalls in the back for easy pickup.

One of the cleanest Banh Mi's I've had. Besides the obvious crumbs you get biting into the bread, all the veggies and meats were packed nicely with no messy strays falling out even while eating. I got the Saigon Special. I didn't get to eat it fresh because I got it in the morning for lunch so I can't really give my full opinion on the flavor, but it was still good and meat/veggie ratio were great - there wasn't anything overpowering the other. The size was also just right for the price while also perfectly filling. Also got the Vietnamese Coffee - not too strong but still good. Parking is kinda weird. There are two stalls in the back designated for them but they're not next to each other... and they were taken even though I was the only customer when I came. I'm not gonna say where I ended up parking, but me ordering and getting my food took only like 5min so it was an easy pick-up and go.

A delicious banh Mi sandwich shop in Liliha! I often passed this place and knew I had to try it. I walked in to place my order but you can also call ahead and pick up. The staff were friendly and efficient. I ordered 2 BBQ sandwiches. I had to wait about 5 minutes. The sandwiches are quite large. They are made on delicious slightly toasted baguettes. The chicken was flavorful and there was a good amount of chicken to veggies. They top the sandwich with cilantro, daikon, carrots, and jalapeños. Very delicious!

My favorite is their BBQ chicken banh mi. The service is always fast and easy. You can also order ahead online and just pick up your order.

Top notch banh mi, reminds me of San Gabriel Valley's taste, minus the cost. Very nice staff, service was fast and available parking in the rear if the bldg. The shop is closed on Saturdays.

Thanks to Craig T for taking my wife and I to this little shop. We were going out for lunch and my wife said she wanted a BBQ Chicken Banh Mi Sandwich for dinner. So he dropped me off in front of the shop so I could pickup a couple of Sandwiches. I was disappointed at the Banh Mi selection. Only four to choose from. They did have the BBQ Chicken, but not what I was looking for. So I decided to try the BBQ Pork Banh Mi. We picked up sandwiches and headed off for lunch. Having the sandwich for dinner, I have to thank Craig again. Both my wife and I gave the Banh Mi's a thumbs up. My BBQ Pork had a good smoked taste. Located at the corner of Liliha Street and Holokahana Lane. This is take out only shop. Two steps through the door and your at the order counter. Friendly and fast service. Enjoy

Coffee jelly is so good and refreshing! The balance of the coffee jelly and soy milk is perfection.

This is my favorite banh mi spot! I love their vegetarian banh mi. The chicken banh mi is equally good. Their menu is small, but their food is consistently delicious! The coffee jelly is so refreshing! I love the balance of the coffee jelly and soy milk. The owners are so kind and friendly. It's take out only and there's a small parking lot in the back.

Located on Liliha st, on the right side going down to town, they have a small parking area, but most times you need to park on the street meter parking. No dining area, it is better to call in your order and pick up. I tried the Saigon Banh Mi which was not that tasty and the bread wasn't crispy making the bread chewy. They open Sunday to Friday 8:00 am - 2:00 pm and closed on Saturday.

I was looking for something to eat for my lunch break. My coworker showed me this banh mi sandwich to try, so I called him, and he went over there and got it for me. There is a little kick because the jalapeño was inside. You can taste the pickled vegetable inside. I love the pickled vegetable. The coffee drink taste really good. I never have Vietnamese coffee before now after this I would order almost every time I go to a Vietnamese restaurant. But overall, it is pretty good. I would order this again.

Make sure you park in the correct spot. Only 3 spots for Bella banh mi.

Came and got the pork banh mi its was tasty and delicious, the pickled veggies were crunchy and added a nice kick there were a few jalapeños but it didn't overpower with heat. In fact i wished there were more jalapeños! The pork was tender and the bread very crispy and crusty. I also got a Vietnamese iced coffee which was very smooth and delicious. My total for both was $18 and change so pretty decent for a lunch meal. It's a very small hole in the wall place so there's no place to eat inside basically just a counter as you enter. There's a parking lot out back but they share it with a few of the surrounding businessss and housing so look at the sign and make sure you're parking in the correct spot. As of today you can park in stalls 2,5, and 8. They may change over time so check the sign. There's also a few road side spots down the road, just pay attention to where you can and can't park. Service was quick and prompt. My order was ready in minutes after i ordered. I think this is my favorite banh mi spot in HI. Since there's no place to eat inside we took it to a nearby park to sit down on a bench and eat. You can either go to kunawai park or the baseball diamond on school street around the corner both are close or just take it home is fine too.

I heard they will keep this space for special events. The restaurant is quite busy and I'm glad we had reservations. Good thing I was there prior to lunch hour opening, otherwise we may lose our reservations since the person who made reservations tends to be habitual in arriving late. We dined in May, but it's been awhile since I first dined here. I preferred dining in Chinatown during lunch time than at dinner. Our waiter was really nice and helpful. I forgot his name, but I remembered that his eyeglasses that he wore was cool/funny, since the frames for each eye didn't match the other eye! lol. Funny it wasn't me who first noticed it. One was square frame and the other was a round frame! The restaurant doesn't do anything special for birthdays except may write Happy Birthday in chocolate on the dessert plate that you purchase for the birthday person. Their desserts are unique and refreshing. I think there are some rotating desserts /flavors like their seasonal menu for their main menu. I guess you can always keep coming back without being bored of the menu! I was bummed to see a previous dish posted of a pasta that I wanted to try that wasn't on the current spring seasonal menu! When we dined for brunch over the weekend, I was able to get the Hainan chicken with the crispy roast pork combo. It was very filling , tasty and satisfying. I do love ginger sauce on the cold ginger chicken but sometimes the chicken is just okay. This Hainan chicken was really good and the chicken was really moist! I thought it was the best I've tried! It was good that I wanted to takeout one last time in August before they moved! No more the 50/50 combo with the crispy roast pork on the lunch menu during the weekday. It was on the spring menu. Of course it's best to eat it in the restaurant than for take out. Bathroom is a must for me when dining out and they had only one shared bathroom for everyone! There was a guy who tried to make several attempts but wasn't successful, since there was always someone in the restroom. I'm glad the waiter told me there was a bigger separate bathroom with several stalls for men and ladies upstairs. You go straight through the kitchen to catch the elevator and to another kitchen /storage area! Thank Goodness! Best wishes at your new location. You offer yummy and tasty food!

The food is authentic and super delicious; the pho broth is the best that I have tasted, very clean and no msg (at least I can't tell). We have tried a lot of the menu items throughout the years; our favorites are: - combination pho - rare steak and meatballs pho - oxtails soup/pho - grilled pork chop rice - crispy spring rolls - summer rolls - beef salad (my wife's favorite, she orders it every time) - roasted pork and lemon grass chicken banh mi sandwiches - roasted pork and spring roll vermicelli bowl - the special combo wrap (very tasty but you have to wrap it yourself; some may think it is fun, but I am lazy and prefer to have it made and ready to eat) The prices are very reasonable, they haven't raised the prices much even when the food cost keeps going up. I believe they have some deserts, but we have never tried any, because their portion sizes are generous and we're usually too full to think about deserts. Park is s street parking, but we usually park in the municipal lot across the street. The rate is very reasonable, a couple dollars for a couple of hours. It is credit card only; there is no parking attendant, you pay using the paid machines in the middle of the lot or at the gates. I hope you will give Saigon a try, I think you will love it too.

There was a 2-for special on the cocktails and you could select from the full menu which featured an extravagant and eclectic selection. There were wine and beer specials too but we were here for the cocktails. From the happy hour menu, we ordered the vegan spring rolls, chicken wings, and the Bo Ne Steak--a Vietnamese breakfast with bone marrow, cubed steak, sunny side eggs and a baguette. I can vouch for the spring rolls, light and crunchy without being oily. I don't eat land animals but my friend said the wings were divine. And they give you gloves to eat them. So civilized (ha) and a nice touch! She loved the bone marrow and steak. There was so much food she didn't finish it so I took it home to the hubby who devoured it. No complaints and only smiles from him! I wanted to try a couple pescatarian dishes from the regular menu so ordered the lemongrass clams which was AH-mazing! Could have been my favorite dish of the night because the flavors were unexpected but undeniably good. And, the garlic salmon bun (vermicelli noodles) was fantastic. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was savory yet light. I've never seen this option at any other Vietnamese restaurant and it certainly elevates the traditional dish which usually comes with meat, tofu, or spring rolls. (You can still order the bun with these options and they let you choose your protein combos.) Finally, (I told you there was a lot of food) we ordered the banana blossom salad. I rarely see this offering at other Vietnamese restaurants. It's hard to describe but I refer to this dish as the red-carpet version of the green papaya salad. It's more dressed up and sophisticated. A real treat and a must-have if you're dining at An Di Dzo. Parking was easy since it's at Ward (by the theaters or you can park anywhere in the village). The restaurant is clean and modern. And the service was courteous and professional. Our server Alex was great and made the evening extra special. An Di Dzo is open for lunch and dinner. They also offer some vegan options so I'll be back. Hubby enjoyed the leftovers so much he wants to give it a dine-in try. You don't have to ask me twice! Highly recommend you give them a try, too.

In any case, I left my entire order and was only refunded for the salad. I will dispute with my cc company. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
