I came in at 1pm and they were out of matcha even though closing is at 4pm. The barista also told me she was low on beans and didn't know how much more espresso she could pull... Very disappointed considering this is my first time. The barista ended up being able to make an Americano and latte for me, however the latte was very milk forward not a good ratio of milk and espresso, must be because the was low on beans but okay. The ambiance here is great though! A very picturesque place! There are also cameras on two tables available and they tend to post it on their instagram which I find so cute! There are also books available if you want to read. Overall, very interactive spot and would've been a better experience if more drink options were available today. I'll come again next time to redo my review and give it another try.
Located in Chinatown, Hello Again is a cute and tiny coffee shop. There is parking on the street and in lots around Chinatown. There are some tables inside and a counter to order drinks at. The interior is mostly white with a bunch of cute decorations. There are some tables facing the wall, which seem to be good little study nooks with outlets. The other tables are in the middle and others on the other side of the shop. There are some tote bags, books, pictures, and more around. We felt this gave the place an eclectic and cute feeling to it. The menu has some options and did not feel overwhelming. There were some neat options on the menu such as the Tiramisu Latte and some matchas like the Golden Hour matcha. I decided to get the Strawberry Bonbon drink, which was espresso, chocolate, and strawberry. It was this or the Golden Hour matcha, but the matcha would be about $10 for a small. The Strawberry Bonbon was good! It was like a chocolate covered strawberry in a drink. The owner was also very nice, and talked story for a bit while making the drinks. We will definitely try to make it back to try some of the other drinks!
We were in Chinatown and my hubby wanted to try this place out. He loves coffee. This place was new to me. It was quaint and cozy. I loved the decor. We shared the medium Golden Hour Matcha (premium matcha, espresso, honey) $10.50. It was amazing. It had honey on the bottom of the cup and honey walls. The espresso was on the bottom and topped with matcha. I've never tasted anything like it. My hubby didn't really care for it, but I really liked it. They have seating against the wall with outlets, so you can get some work done if you choose. It's street parking only, so it can be a challenge.
First timer here! My friend recommended this place since she knows I'm a matcha and caffeine lover! It's a cute little spot in downtown Honolulu. Parking can be tricky as it's primarily street parking, but they do have a few municipal parking garages nearby. We came on a weekday so finding street parking wasn't a problem. I tried the iced golden hour matcha- which included my favorite ingredients .. matcha, espresso and a touch of honey! Delicious! My barista Lance was so kind and friendly! Also, bonus bonus bonus points for being dog friendly!! They even have a photo wall of all the pups that visited. Perfect little spot to catch up with friends! Will definitely come back next time I'm in town.

However, I did not find street parking on Sunday afternoon when I stopped in. I parked at the Liberty Lot for ($7/hour). Barista was nice but not too friendly. I probably would have been irritated too if there was a homeless man sitting outside and blocking the entrance to the shop. :-( We ordered the banana bread matcha latte, which was delicious. It was creamy and you could taste the matcha, which we loved. We would come back again to try other drinks. I recommend trying this place!
Strawberry matcha used more of a strawberry flavored milk rather than a strawberry jam that's typical at most cafes. Tasted good though! Matcha tasted high quality and it's a nice green.
Unassuming cafe in the heart of Chinatown. The ambiance was very simple but there's something about it that would want you to stay a little longer. I ordered the Chit-Chat Matcha and my boyfriend ordered a Strawberry Bonbon. We both liked our drinks :) I specifically liked the creaminess of the matcha latte thanks to the vanilla cold foam on top (no added charge!). Could use a bit more matcha though, but I still enjoyed it. Service was good too; only one person was manning the cafe as we went there on New Year's Day but the volume of customers was manageable for one person during that time. I also liked how you can send tips via venmo. Will come again next time for the chill vibes, great drinks, and nice selection of free books to read.
Kept passing Hello Again whenever I drive down Nuuanu so I finally made it in to try a matcha drink. It's a narrow space but the interior has several small tables with a cute, hip decor. The menu is brightly displayed on screens and includes collaborations with local foodies. I opted for the matcha banana bread latte. The young lady serving explained it has a cinnamon flavor but that wasn't off putting for me. The large was $10 and you can choose between oat or cow milk. It looked really good with a deep green hue and drizzled syrup on the walls. The matcha flavor was strong, the cinnamon flavor light, but the banana was disappointingly artificial tasting. Also the texture was kind of thick? Im not a coffee drinker so I like to get matcha and teas. I'm not sure I'd come back for this one.
There's tons of coffee shops in Chinatown now but what makes this one stand apart from Others in the area? There was a previous coffee shop in this location but maybe it didn't do well since there wasn't a lot of people that knew about it. Hello again is the opposite and supposedly known for no tipping policy and for it being the least expensive. Or so I thought anyway?? I ordered a small iced latte which I assumed was $5.25 on the menu but my total charge was $6? Taste wise - it was basically a watered down coffee and nothing special. I rather just pay the same price and go to starbucks or pono potions a street down. If you have small kids and use a stroller then it is not very easy since there's another step up and you'd have to pull open the door both ways. It's also very tight in there so you wouldn't really be able to maneuver in there. Service was pretty minimal and I probably won't be back. 2 stars is pretty generous but I like that dogs are allowed.
I'm on a mission to try as many coffee shops in downtown, and on this weeks list was Hello Again! I've been seeing a lot of this place on Instagram/Tiktok for the collab with fiveftfoodie. I opted for the mood ring, which was a a beautiful purple lemonade. This was super refreshing for a hot summer day, and I would definitely order this again. Service was quick and friendly. The inside of the shop is very aesthetically pleasing. There's some desks with outlets where people can study. There's also cool chairs in the shop. I would hang out here to get work done in the future! Service was quick and friendly.
Hello Again is one of my favorite coffee shops! When I first discovered this place, I thought it was such a vibe! A very cute and cozy coffee shop. I've tried a few of their drinks from here such as the tiramisu latte and some of their flavored matcha lattes. The tiramisu latte is my favorite because of how rich and chocolately it is! Their matcha lattes are pretty good as well with a good matcha flavor but sometimes I feel like they can add a little more flavoring/syrup when you get one of the flavored ones since it may taste a little light. The blueberry one is nice! Overall, the drinks are pretty good and the baristas are friendly so it's definitely worth to check out! Hopefully you can find street/meter parking since the lot nearby is pretty pricey.
I love Haupia flavored foam combining with the matcha latte. It was delicious. The owner was making the matcha and he's super friendly! I'd come here daily if I work around here! I love the wall of dog portraits and nice decors.
I don't like to leave bad reviews, but this place was incredibly disappointing... Service: I was clearly standing in some kind of line, but the cashier was so busy talking about cameras with the couple in front of me, that she didn't acknowledge me or tell me I wasn't in the correct line for a hot minute. A different customer waiting for her drink told me the ordering line was empty. This was followed by me standing in the correct line while she kept fiddling with a camera. Ok fine. Then I was about to order, she cut me off to AGAIN help the couple figure out the camera to take a picture of a dog. Finally, as I'm about to order again, she turns to the couple again to tell them they had turned off the camera instead of taking the picture. Honestly at this point I should have walked out, but I wanted to try the cereal killer matcha. Drinks: I got 2 drinks. The Americano was very watered down and not very good, but the cereal killer? THAT was terrible. I paid over $11 for this drink and it was grainy, bitter, and just not at all worth the money. What's crazy is it doesn't even taste like bitter matcha it just tastes bitter. Cost: beware that if your drink is iced it costs $.50 more. For my two drinks, I paid $16. Egregious. This place prides itself on being a "cheaper coffee" but this is very much not the case. Disappointing...
Hello Again will have me coming back again! My friend Li Y. recommended we stop by here so I could try their matcha. I'd been curious about trying their matcha offerings, so I was excited. We came on a holiday morning, and there wasn't anyone inside. The cafe is cute and vibey! Love how pet-friendly it is with the polaroids--I'd definitely bring my pup here. There's also a decent amount of seating to hang out or work at. Service was fine. I ordered at the register, and she made my drink immediately. I was intrigued by their Haupia Matcha Latte. I love all things Haupia, so it seemed like the perfect match. I got the Haupia Matcha Latte with Oat Milk, and it was superb. I loved how creamy it was, how the sweetness of the haupia shone, but the earthiness of the matcha was still there. I'd definitely recommend this drink and am curious about their others. Hello Again is a nice cafe addition to Chinatown. With all the cafes in the area, it's worth a visit if you're a matcha lover like me. Find the cafe off Nuuanu Ave., unassuming on the outside but nicely sized once you go in! Parking is limited to the street or nearby municipal parking. read more

Hello Again is a cute little spot in Chinatown that's perfect for a quick matcha pick-me-up, whether you need to get some work done or just relax after strolling the neighborhood. They have small tables and cubicle-style setups with charging ports, so it's easy to settle in, sip, and work if you want. I came mainly to unwind and try a few of their matcha drinks. The banana bread latte is one I personally like, and the haupia matcha has a nice coconut kick. The ube matcha latte was just okay--the matcha overpowered the ube and the flavor kind of drifted. Not sure if the powder was a bit heavy that day or if the water temperature played a role, but I wouldn't order that one again. There are still other flavors I haven't tried, plus milk alternatives like oat milk available. A fun touch is the cameras they place on the tables so you can snap photos of your drink, yourself, friends, or whatever. Just know they may post some of the pics on their social media from time to time--it's a cute way to bring the community together. Hours are short, so check their socials before heading over. Overall, I love the aesthetic of the café and the matcha is decent for a quick fix. I'd definitely come back. read more

Stopped in to get a refreshing pick me up ! They have a tea iced drink that did the trip. It was super yummy. Loved the vibe in the shop, they loved pups and have little treats from them, which I loved. The wall of pup fame was sweet and fun to look at. It was quick and nice to be able to chill for a moment to get out of the heat. I have heard great things about the Mar has and iced coffees, next time I will be trying. One of those. read more
I came here to catch up with a friend! It's a cute place! It feels very warm and homey with the way things are set up. You can have a drink with a friend or come and study as they have these single wall stall set up type of thing. I ended up getting a strawberry matcha because that's a flavor that I like and it was good! Atmosphere - Nice atmosphere, very warm and welcoming, seems like a place where you can chill with a friend or have chill vibes when working. Service - They are friendly and patient as I had questions about the lavender and the strawberry matcha. They didn't rush me and answered to the best of their knowledge. Cost - $4 - $8. Parking - It's in Chinatown so street parking or find a structure close by like The ARTS at Marks Garage. Location - It's on Nuʻuanu. I would come here again to try their different drinks! I assume it was the owner or manager that was there when I went because they thanked us as we left so nice! read more

A great spot to study, as there are individual nooks with outlets, wifi, and good vibes. The owner is very friendly and welcoming (especially to dogs!). There is a bathroom located behind the establishment. Street parking was hard to find, so I parked in Mark's garage. As for the drinks, the iced mood ring was unique and tasty! However, I wouldn't recommend the iced strawberry matcha. The matcha didn't seem freshly whisked, and the strawberry flavoring was undetectable. But they have a lot of other unique flavors besides matcha that I'd like to try in the future! read more

Ambiance is very cute, pet friendly, a small coffee shop with a place to study-- has outlets Ordered tiramisu latte & strawberry matcha latte Matcha was pretty good, strawberry is a syrup not puree, matcha was bitter at first till I mixed it well. 9/10 -- matcha Tiramisu latte: not too sweet, not too strong tho didn't put too many espresso shots in it. Parking is tough, will need to keep driving around to find street parking. read more
I'm loving Hello Again and they've been making small changes since their opening last year. The menu has more coffee drinks and they added matcha. Some of the new drinks I've enjoyed are the strawberry bon bon and the salted caramel. The iced strawberry bon bon is my 2nd favorite with the iced mocha still being #1. They upgraded their AC so now it's nice and cool inside and the door stays closed. There's a fun little sticker on their door that says, "push it real good." LOL! For workspace, they have these modern and beautiful wood slats against the wall and spaces that seat 1 person; there are 4 of these. They still have the round tables with comfy chairs. This coffee shop is dog friendly so bring them in because Lance loves dogs. There's 1 table with 2 chairs outside in front of the shop so you can hang out there if no seats inside. Overall, this is a chill place to hang out in and have coffee. On Sundays, the metered street parking is free so if you see a stall on Nuuanu Ave, stop by for your caffeine fix. read more

Love this little shop! It is a great place to study, catch up with a friend, & get high quality drinks. The best part is that it's dog friendly! :) There are even treats for them when you visit. Their matcha is delicious, not too strong that it's bitter, but definitely not weak. My favorite right now is probably the Haupia matcha or banana bread matcha. Espresso based drinks are also smooth and tasty. There are a few non-caffeinated drink options as well. The Mood Ring was definitely refreshing and pretty to look at too! The shop is on the smaller with 3 cubicle type seats, and a few tables with chairs. However, there usually seems to always be room to hang. Free wifi, AC, and even a bathroom in the back. No food options on the menu, but there is a small vending machine that offers pre-packaged sandwiches, chips, and other snacks. Parking can be found on the street or in the nearby municipal lots. Workers are super friendly and helpful- they will answer any questions you have. 10/10 would recommend!! read more

I have to say instantly that Hello Again is 1000/10! You HAVE to stop in here if you haven't -- and if you haven't, you've been missing out. Lance was personable, kind and friendly! He was extremely welcoming and made us feel at home. We ordered a golden hour matcha (espresso and matcha in ONE drink??? Ok! The first time I've run into this combo and AMAZING! The honey tied in with both the espresso AND matcha was divine!!!!!!!!!) and a matcha strawberry was good! The matcha is so strong and the perfect green! Everything about this matcha was 10/10 We also unexpectedly got to try the mood ring which is a deliciously filled lemonade with edible glitter - picturesque! There is an individual seating area to bring a laptop or school work -- each cubical has plugs for phones or computer chargers. There are a couple of tables with plenty of seating and a window seat + a cute outside table outside. There's books on the wall for your viewing pleasure and a tripod so you can make IG or TikTok videos -- how cute. We loved our first experience here and we'll definitely be returning... again read more
Nice space to pop in for a short break or treat. The Lai Fong building storefront bounces lots of light into the space, so it is surprisingly bright to sit inside. Coffees and teas in creative and traditional blends. Also good spot to meet someone because standing on sidewalks here is not nice. read more
I took a detour and decided to stop at Hello Again in China town! I walked in, cafe was empty but the barista still had the biggest smile as he greeted me. I didn't get to take pictures but there were about 2-4 seats that had their own charging stations - great for students or professionals on the go/break. I went with the baristas recommendation and got his favorite, the Mac Attack! I got it iced with oat milk. I really enjoyed it. It wasn't too sweet. (Note: you can ask for your drink to be less sweet if you would like. Just tell your barista ahead of time!) There is meter parking along Nuuana Ave/throughout China town/private lots. I feel like this is a great spot to grab a mid morning pick me up, chat with friends, or even get some work done. Versatile, relaxed environment. Don't get me wrong I really wanted to like this place but the prices for the drinks are really high. I got the cereal Killa and I did not like it one bit. Not too sure what the hype is. My husband chose a hot lavender matcha and that one was very fragrant and tasty. I Would get it again if the price wasn't so high. Also when we went the ac wasn't cold so it was hard to enjoy our drinks. read more

Finally tried this place and let me tell you why I'm definitely coming back to try more of their menu~ First off, their menu has various options for both coffee and matcha. I ordered the Strawberry Bonbon which can be described as their house mocha with strawberry syrup. It was just the right amount of sweetness for me. Second, it is the perfect place if you need a need a change of scenery to get some work done! There's WiFi of course and several tables and four study nooks with outlets and a cute lamp. They are open late on weekdays (until 7 PM!) which is rare and would be good for those who work in town looking to wait out traffic before commuting home. Last but not least, the staff were super sweet, explaining the drinks and providing her recommendations to help me with my decision! The only downside is the parking since the cafe is in Chinatown. There is limited street parking but you can find additional spots in nearby parking lots and garages. read more
Wow the iced cardamon rose latte was so good! I ordered with oat milk. The barista described it as floral, sweet, and not too strong on the chai flavor. It was perfect and exactly as described! They also sell Aloha Okoshi - a prepackaged sweet rice puff snack from an outside vendor ($10). It is yummy and addictive! I even went back for it and it was sold out at the time. read more

My co-worker picked this up for me. I love matcha and this was sooooo yummy! Milk to matcha ratio was good and it had an amazing matcha flavor. The strawberries on the bottom helped to complement the matcha. Overall, sooooo good! They also gave a compostable bendy straw! I haven't had a bendy straw in years and I loved it! I tried the matcha latte (lavender and strawberry) and tiramisu latte both with oat milk. All of them were pretty good! There's not that many places in downtown where I can sit down to eat lunch with wifi where I can also work on my homework/studies. There's also chargers. Service was good and the girls were friendly. While I was sitting down they came up to us and asked if we needed water. I like the environment and it feels cozy. It's a little pricey cause syrup (and maybe oatmilk option?) are additional cost so matcha came out to be $8 for small. read more

My first time here, the aesthetic of this cafe is really nice and cozy. I feel like I could study here for hours and be very productive. Service is great, very friendly and greeted us the second we walked in. However, the drinks were okay at best. I got an small iced latte and it was very milk forward. As a barista myself, I would add less milk than originally or just do a double shot rather than single. Overall, great first time and will come back again to try other drinks. read more

First of all, this is such a cute place to visit in downtown whenever you're in the area. The drinks were standard and I wish I knew of more of their popular drinks beforehand, but I opted for a regular matcha latte, which was pretty standard. I sampled the tiramisu latte as well and I really liked that one. They have a very minimalistic design of their space as well as a nice seating area with a spotlight perfect for pictures. Will definitely be back! I want to try more of their drinks! Service was also quick despite there being a rush of people arriving after we did. read more
Grand Opening Week - during the first week o December - for this new coffee shop on Nuuanu Avenue. This Saturday, Salted Caramel Latte was on special. Iced version was good. They do not up charge for plant based milk, but the only option is oat milk. Also, tipping is not suggested. Don't recall of there were any good items, such as pastries, on the counter. There aren't on the menu board. Seating is plentiful and counter top seating offer outlets to plug in your devices. Prices are good and street metered parking is available but there are paid lots and garages nearby. Loyalty points are available. No frills, automated espresso/coffee machines. read more
Saw on social media that they had a cereal milk matcha, which I was excited to try. Went on down to Hello Again around 2:00pm on a Monday & there were a few people inside. We ordered right away & our drinks came out quickly. Overall, I would say the cereal milk matcha was just ok. Once you mix the milk, matcha, & cold foam together, you can't really taste the cereal milk as much anymore. I did like how I could actually taste the matcha though. Would come back to try other menu items! read more

Saw Hello Again on Instagram and the banana bread matcha got me curious, so I drove from Waialua to Chinatown just to try it -- totally worth it. I loved it. Now that I live in town, I'm so happy I'm closer. Came back today and tried the haupia and it was so good too. Honestly, everything I've had here has been great. Love this spot! read more
