    Egg salad sandwich and matcha

Finally got to try this new place tucked away upstairs next to paradise pup. There is parking right below it but only for 15 mins. Once you are upstairs it opens up into a bright and minimalistic space. The space includes a hair salon and I think nail place by appointment only. The menu had a few variations of coffee and matchas. I tried their most popular vanilla matcha latte and it's great! The potent matcha is on par with Mawaru Sencha! Love it!

Hot and new Cafe Lapin location at 816 Queen St, Fl 2, Honolulu, HI 96813. A cool and casual cafe to enjoy a masterfully created matcha, espresso, tea, chai latte and so much more. Walk up the staircase and turn right into a beauty salon? That's what it looked like when I first walked in the door! Keep walking towards a quaint little cafe located further away in the back of the salon. There are a few seating areas inside and outside the cafe. There is even an outdoor patio to soak in the sun and cool trade winds. Place your beverage and food order inside and have a seat at your table of choice. After a short wait, your beverage and/or food will be served at your table. Great service here. Very relaxing and peaceful place. Air conditioned for your comfort. I ordered the salted vanilla cold foam matcha, minus the salt. It was refreshing and great tasting. The only thing I could do without was the beautiful, but non flavorful flower decoration, on top of the cold foam. Great for pictures but definitely not for enjoyable consumption. My All Star Elite buddy Irene ordered the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade and a sandwich. Both looked delicious. The cafe is clean and the atmosphere is relaxed. There is a nice bathroom available indoors. Parking is very limited (see photos). We found metered street parking nearby. Website: https://www.lapinllc23.com Instagram: @lapin_llc

So matcha to see you... Cafe Lapin has relocated to Kaka'ako with 25 Luana and Lucia Lash and Brow all sharing one unity beautifully as if it was always there and what a lovely space it is...the downside is the parking as it's right in the midst of Kaka'ako it's street metered parking only unfortunately. Love that Cafe Lapin has a much bigger and more of a personal space to call his own along with seating inside and outside it's quite the cozy spot to chill and relax or get a bit of work done as well. Here you can find various matcha, hojicha, cold brew and espresso coffees but also some pretty cool mocktails as well but with summer so blazing hot it had to be the Matcha Yuzu Lemonade...YUM! The perfect refresher done just right with the bite from the yuzu and lemonade that's not too tart and perfect amount of matcha not only is it stunning but very refreshing as well. If you're like me and came hungry you're in luck as he has some pretty yummy toast as well and got the Tuna and Cheese which was just amazing. The service is very nice and friendly though on this day there was no one with service appointment so the salon was completely empty but they do close quite early at 3pm and are closed on Mondays but to find a unique spot that give uniquely crafted drinks and bites Cafe Lapin sure will provide you that and maybe some services their neighbor does as well. Thank you!

Amazing amazing. Such a lovely space. It's a little tricky to find but look for the HML door with stairs and make your way up. Upon entry you're greeted with a very beautiful bright space adorned with plants in a minimalistic fashion. Cafe Lapin has partnered with a hair salon and nail business to share their space. I can see this being a super great place to hang out for clients of the other service, as well as those who come just to seek Cafe Lapin out for their amazing drinks. I opted for their more sophisticated options. I got the Kenya pour-over which had notes of tartness and grapefruit. It was recommended as a more well-balanced flavor as opposed to the others which were more intense or sweet. I enjoyed my morning pour-over and it was a great start to my day! The outdoor area is beautiful as well with a view of the skyline and plants lining the encampment. The seating area on the indoor seating area when the light hits in the morning makes for an aesthetic photo opportunity. Definitely put this on one of your cafes to visit since it's such a great place to wind down and catch up with friends.

This place was literally amazing. Go inside the door and it's to the left. It's so cute and the food and drink were amazing, especially the egg salad. 10/10!

Best matcha I've had on Oahu! - they use pono potions (locally made) -matcha smooth -drink is not overly sweet or covered with sickening sweetness syrups -work of art / they take pride in the presentation along with quality and taste *I recently had knee surgery and would have had difficulty carrying 2 drinks and sando with trying to hobble down the stairs, the barrista was acutely aware of my situation and offered to carry my drinks/ sando down the 2 flights of stairs for me for safety!!! OMG now that's service, and kindness to boot. I want to thank you so much gentleman at Cafe Lapin for helping me and providing top service and taking the extra step to help me to my car. Please support this local business, they are amazing!

Hello Again - Banana bread matcha latte

Hello Again will have me coming back again! My friend Li Y. recommended we stop by here so I could…read moretry their matcha. I'd been curious about trying their matcha offerings, so I was excited. We came on a holiday morning, and there wasn't anyone inside. The cafe is cute and vibey! Love how pet-friendly it is with the polaroids--I'd definitely bring my pup here. There's also a decent amount of seating to hang out or work at. Service was fine. I ordered at the register, and she made my drink immediately. I was intrigued by their Haupia Matcha Latte. I love all things Haupia, so it seemed like the perfect match. I got the Haupia Matcha Latte with Oat Milk, and it was superb. I loved how creamy it was, how the sweetness of the haupia shone, but the earthiness of the matcha was still there. I'd definitely recommend this drink and am curious about their others. Hello Again is a nice cafe addition to Chinatown. With all the cafes in the area, it's worth a visit if you're a matcha lover like me. Find the cafe off Nuuanu Ave., unassuming on the outside but nicely sized once you go in! Parking is limited to the street or nearby municipal parking.

They have small tables and cubicle-style setups with charging ports, so it's easy to settle in, sip, and work if you want. I came mainly to unwind and try a few of their matcha drinks. The banana bread latte is one I personally like, and the haupia matcha has a nice coconut kick. The ube matcha latte was just okay--the matcha overpowered the ube and the flavor kind of drifted. Not sure if the powder was a bit heavy that day or if the water temperature played a role, but I wouldn't order that one again. There are still other flavors I haven't tried, plus milk alternatives like oat milk available. A fun touch is the cameras they place on the tables so you can snap photos of your drink, yourself, friends, or whatever. Just know they may post some of the pics on their social media from time to time--it's a cute way to bring the community together. Hours are short, so check their socials before heading over. Overall, I love the aesthetic of the café and the matcha is decent for a quick fix. I'd definitely come back.

Super late review -…read more I'm sad. I really wanted to love this place but I just couldn't. I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.
