Didn't wait in line. Ordered ON-LINE. Wow, thanks technology!

CHEAT CODE: avoid the long line of tourists! Order online TO GO! Pick it up at the counter, via the side entrance. If I catch you waiting in line, clueless about the faster way, YOU WILL BE JUDGED. Good god, the Embassy Suites coffee is terrible.

Ambiance: it's located on the second floor at the shopping center, very convenient near the escalators Service: friendly but slow, their lines for ordering is chaotic, slow in making drinks too, self served table Drink: they have plenty of choices for specialty and regular drinks ISLAND LATTE - **** macadamia nuts with a hint of coconut, creamy and tasty, recommend Price: decent quality and pricy as expected for the location, it costs about $10 for a coffee drink

This was my first time at Island Vintage Coffee, but it was a pretty solid experience. They are definitely a busy location! The line when we got there was long, but it wasn't too terrible of a wait unless you're starving! We waited about 20 minutes before getting to the front to place our orders. There's limited seating, so majority of people who placed orders ordered takeaways. The staff were polite and had recommendations ready if you weren't sure what you wanted to order. There are quite a bit of merch and packaged coffees inside the shop that you can buy. Their menu also offers ample varieties such as sandwiches, poke bowls, pastries, breakfast items, coffees and non-coffee drinks! I was pretty hungry after working night shift, so I opted for a wagyu-mushroom burger and a ginger peach iced tea. The burger came with side salad and fries, which I dipped in an aioli sauce (delicious!). The entire meal was absolutely delectable and filling! I was absolutely ready for a nap after my lunch. One of my friends is vegan, and she was very happy with their vegan/vegetarian options in case anyone was wondering! Overall, I had a pretty good experience and would definitely want to come back!

A busy spot for coffee, breakfast, and acai bowls. We got the panda vanilla latte, matcha latte, acai bowls and a breakfast bagel with taro bagel. Drinks were i think 3/5 for me but the breakfast bagel and acai bowls were my favorites. The breakfast bagel was so delicious - bread was toasty outside but so soft inside, the fresh ingredients were so good as well. The acai bowl had really yummy granola and it was one of the best I've ever had jsut cause it wasn't as sweet as we have it here in LA. Could get busy so just make sure you secure your tables before you order if you want to eat there.

We found ourselves coming here every single day during our Hawaii trip and that says a lot. Whether it was a morning açaí bowl for breakfast, a quick snack (sometimes paired with fries), or even lunch, this place never missed. Açaí bowls might seem like just a breakfast thing, but honestly, you can enjoy one any time of day here. They're incredibly satisfying, fresh, flavorful, and filling without feeling heavy. It hits that perfect balance of healthy and delicious, and always leaves you feeling refreshed. Also, don't skip the TARO Bagel with Ube Cream Cheese and Vegan Haupia Cream, it's seriously so good and a must-try. Pro tip: you can place your order online, which makes everything even faster. No need to stand in line to order, which is a huge plus. By the end of the trip, this spot became a must-have daily stop for us. ^^,

I have to admit this was an impulse stop for me and Jamie W. We were strolling along always-busy Kalakaua Avenue and getting peckish as we passed by the Royal Hawaiian Center. Island Vintage was a familiar local chain. While we've had their mountainous shaved ice creations before, we had not patronized the cafe upstairs. It was a balmy day, so it was a given we'd get cold coffee drinks preferably with a Hawaiian twist. So I went for the $8.75 Frozen Banana Kona Mocha, while Jamie had the $8.95 Iced Island Latte. Mine was more coffee adjacent, while Jamie's was made with macadamia nut with a hint of coconut (Photo 9). Definitely hit the spot, but we were really drawn to one item we decided to share, the $19.95 Mango Peanut Butter Sandwich. It was an enticing temptation for us, coconut peanut butter covered with fresh mango slices drizzled with organic raw white honey, all of it between toasted slices of cranberry walnut bread (Photo 8). Liked it but didn't quite love it because it was a bit high on the sweet meter. COFFEE / FOOD - 4 stars...appropriately Hawaiian treats on a hot day AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...pretty touristy if you know what I mean SERVICE - 4 stars...definitely tried TOTAL - 4 stars...if chains don't bother you RELATED - Exploring Hawaii? Located upstairs, pretty easy to find since there are signs upfront! There is usually a line to order, but it goes by fairly quickly. Honestly, the setup of this place really reminds me of Urth Caffe. A wide variety of menu items, order and pickup system, and seating. Most of the seating is outside, and beware of the birds because they're hovering around waiting for food to drop lol. We ordered a round of coffees. I got to try the macadamia iced coffee latte, which was really sweet. I would say coffee is also pretty subtle, you can taste moreso of the macadamia nut syrup, but it was just sweet coffee. So it was alright. We also got to try the poke here with salad, honestly, it was just alright. It was about $25 and I wouldn't say it's worth getting this here. I would imagine it to be a bigger size for that prize, but it was pretty standard. Flavors were also pretty standard, but it was not WOW. Although, the acai bowl was my favorite here! It was very refreshing and smooth. The granola was also very nice and crunchy! Overall, it's a nice spot to get everything here. I would definitely get the acai bowls from here again.

If you are waiting in line, just know that there is an option to order for pickup. There is a sign at the door, but it is unhelpful because the line goes way out the door. Personally, I wouldn't go here again. I got the island latte and it was so sweet I ended up throwing it away.

Stopped in here almost every morning. Protip: order online and pick up. You get to skip the line. Wired really well for us. If you aren't ordering online try and come early as the line can get insanely long. Island lattes were my go to and such a wonderful start to my mornings. Coconut, macadamia combined perfect, The açaí bowls were delicious as well. Stacked with fresh fruit. Staff was always really nice. Most mornings we'd walk over and grab stuff to take back to the hotel which was really close. But they have various tables for you to sit and eat at if you want to. There are also various nooks all around the restaurant in the main area of the mall/shopping center to sit and enjoy your coffee/meal.

Island Vintage Coffee is easily one of my favorite spots in all of Hawaiʻi. I love it so much that I recommend it to friends visiting, to my family, and I've even brought my fiancé twice. If you haven't been yet, you're genuinely missing out. Service - We had John as our server today and he was exceptional. Truly outstanding -- friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and incredibly patient, especially with us having a 2‑year‑old in tow. He deserves a raise. In general, the service here is consistently good and the staff are kind. Just keep in mind that they do get busy, so a little patience goes a long way. No one can be 100% upbeat every second, but they do their best. Food - I ordered the ahi sandwich today and it was delicious. I also always get the kale smoothie -- it never disappoints. Other must‑tries: their eggs Benedict, burgers, and açaí bowls. Honestly, you can't really go wrong with anything here. Portions are generous, and while the prices are on the higher side, the amount and quality of food make it feel worth it. Ambiance - Located on the second floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center, right in the heart of Waikīkī. They offer two setups: a full‑service restaurant and a walk‑up counter where you order and find your own seat. It just depends on the experience you want. It's usually busy, so making a reservation is smart -- otherwise, just be prepared to wait a bit. Overall, I absolutely love this place and always recommend it. Part of me wishes I could keep it a secret, but they're just too good.

Wagyu beef loco moco w/ side salad

Good food but overpriced based on what I ordered. Don't be afraid to be selective of what you order here and expect a decently sized line. My husband heard this place was good, and it was very close to our hotel, so we had to give it a try. It's part of a shopping center, so naturally there is a lot of foot traffic and were met with a 20-minute line. The wait wasn't terrible since the weather was nice and it wasn't humid. There is quite a bit in the menu, so make sure to look it through while you're waiting. I was determined to get a loco moco since I haven't had that dish my whole trip. Ordering at the register was a breeze, and we managed to find a table for two tucked in a narrow spot behind a wall. If you have a bigger group, I recommend having someone scout out a table ahead of time. Wait for the food was probably the same length as the line but they do give fair warning at the top of the menu. For some reason our avocado toast came out a little later than the rest though. While the greens and all the ingredients looked fresh and crisp and were laid out in a lovely way, I couldn't help but realize I was paying $27 for basically two eggs, meat and rice. The meat was good, and it was definitely a juicer and thicker patty than what I'm used to with loco mocos, but it seems like the dish overall counts on you eating all the rice to get the sense of fullness that a dish almost costing $30 should get you. If, like me, you're trying to wane off rice, then maybe save getting this dish for another place. The side salad was a nice balance to the heaviness of the dish though, and I appreciate a little crunch with my greens. Th avocado toast was delightful, especially with the cranberry-walnut combo in the bread. The sweetness of the cranberry provides a temporary resting place from the garlic aioli, which they don't skimp on. Also a huge fan of the bed of arugula, since I love the fragrance it gives off before you even take a bite. Would definitely get again, and maybe add an egg if possible.

I absolutely loved this place. I ended up going about five times for breakfast and dinner during the week I was here. The Island Latte is genuinely one of the best lattes I've ever had. The açaí bowl with haupia on top is so good, and the taro bagel with haupia and ube spread was amazing. The employees were also super kind and efficient, which made me want to keep coming back every visit. I also love that it's right on the strip, so we always stop by for coffee whenever we're walking around.

I finally have a new favorite drink here aside from the famous island latte; it's their Pitaya smoothie which has mango, lilikoi, pineapple, pitaya, coconut milk and honey. The smoothie itself is beautiful with a vibrant dark purple/pink color topped with yellow passionfruit. It's so good and to me, a great morning starter and better alternative to their original Acai bowl. We did try their Acai bowl and it's good all around but honestly, I've had better. Their Kaui (strawberry and banana) and Mango guava smoothies are also delicious! My son loved them both. The smoothies are thick and creamy which is how I like them. They're so natural tasting and is a plus when you see the employees cutting the actual fruit and blending them together with natural honey. I want it again!

It's almost like a pound cake but i guess made with olive oil so it also had this nice crust to it. But I would come back every single day for the rocky road ice cream. It was just rocky road but it was really good. Prices were average for honolulu. And service was good, not great. I guess the inside is pretty spacious in terms of tables but they pack you in like sardines so you can't help but be in your neighbors conversation. And it's a bit loud. So maybe not the ideal first date unless you go at an off hour where it's less crowded. Or maybe the bar seating would also work. 10/10 would 100% recommend to anyone.

Prime rib sandwich came with salad and au jus sauce and a side of salad. It's good but also very filling. I didn't try the burger or teriyaki chicken but was told both were delicious. After dinner, we ordered a few items from the bakery to eat on the plane. You have to take a number and wait for them to call it. I got 2 kouign Amannn, 2 Dubai coco puff, and half dozen green tea puff. The kouign amann is a circular croissant. I liked that it was soft and flaky and had a sweet, crispy glaze over it. The Dubai coco puff had a strong pistachio crunchy flavor but I thought it was way too sweet for me personally. The Star of the show are the green tea cream puffs! I would come back to just order that! The top filling tasted like a thick creamy brown butter green tea-flavored icing. The filling inside doesn't taste like brown butter and less thick but still really good. Overall, they had really good food and items from the bakery. Highly recommend the infamous green tea cream and chicken karaage dish! Customer service was quick and professional though I felt like our server wasn't that friendly lol. The restaurant was very clean and had plenty of seating.

I ordered the ultimate waffle which came with whip cream, blueberries, strawberries, butter and nuts. Also had a side of the fried potatoes...it was all very good. My friend had the loco moco with white rice and he said it was good, one his favorite. Service was perfect, waiter was very friendly and accommodating. There bakery has an amazing variety of sweets and we decided to get Cocoa Puffs to go...was told by a local that they are delicious and their signature item so had to try (when I'm not stuffed). I am no longer stuffed and tried the Cocoa Puffs....so good! Gotta go back and get the frozen Cocoa Puffs to take home! Lots of locals here so it must be good! Definitely recommend and will definitely return!

We were actually asked about 3 times by 3 different servers if we wanted a different drink besides water, which was ok with us. We appreciated them being very attentive to each table's needs. Food: 10/10. I ordered the Veggie Eggs Benedict and it tasted really good. I liked how the ingredients taste fresh and how the benny complemented very well with the potatoes. I also sampled my brother's fried rice and it was amazing. The Extreme Mess was flavorful too, a little bit on the saltier side for me but my boyfriend enjoyed it. Ambiance: We were seated outside but it was covered and well-ventilated. The place is well-maintained and clean, and has a "local brunch place" vibe which I liked. Parking: We lucked out and got parking at the available space by their lot, around 11am on a Saturday. There's also street parking available.

The servers were incredibly attentive from the moment we sat down--they brought us water right away, handed us menus, got our drinks first, and gave us plenty of time to look through the menu without feeling rushed. They were welcoming, friendly, and on top of everything. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything was fresh and delicious. The herb roasted potatoes were amazing, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The pancake was so fresh and fluffy. My omelette with Kahlúa pork was very good, full of flavor. My son's side of white rice and crispy bacon was cooked perfectly, and the corned beef hash was also delicious. We really appreciated the unlimited coffee and water refills, too. The overall experience was excellent--great service, great food, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be back.

My fiance won a gift card actually 2 of them (from his coworker whom could not get a reservation secured), we knew we had to make the trip over before they officially close. We had multiple dishes, but staff made Kauai prawns and tomato miso black cod dishes on the house since they ran out the Hokkaido scallops. We ordered the short ribs, lobster appetizer, hamachi crudo and lastly sashimi moriawase to finish food palate. Lukki lemon dessert was great way to end to night. Ordered the Milk tea bouquet cocktail while my better half had water ( either way the food coma knock him out cold the rest of the night lol). To be honest, it was difficult to determine which dish was the best because the staff kept quality there despite it being busy every night since they announce the closure. Sashimi moriawase, fish was so fresh, reminded me of my time spent in Hokkaido and Sapporo. Short ribs was soft and rich in flavor. Both me and my fiance liked the lukki lemon dessert, like lemon meringue pie but broken down version. If you have a chance to dine here before closing and got a reservation, definitely will have a lovely dining experience and your stomach will be full by end of the night.
