    Still waiting for my drink
    Katie R.

Honestly, I keep coming back because I'm clearly in a toxic relationship with this coffee shop. It's my favorite spot, for the convienence and view - but they frequently treat my coffee order like a long-lost friend they forgot to invite to the party. Like, I've ordered coffee and food here before and they've just weiiiiirdly forgotten to make it...multiple times. Today I waited 25 minutes, just vibing with my friend while they finished their food and drink, before realizing I had to ask where MY drink was. They apologized and fixed it immediately, but it's becoming a 'thing.' I'm still going to come here, but I'm honestly looking for a new favorite spot where they don't forget to make my coffee, at a coffee shop. If you go here, bring a book, be prepared to wait, and definitely don't be shy about asking for your drink. It's a test of patience, but the coffee is good when you finally get it!

    Coconut. Macadamia nut iced latte

I'm a sucker for tropical, atypical flavored lattes. I searched for macadamia nut latte and found this gem. Hidden inside a tiny mall with a few shops, it's inviting with its opened concept, perfect for the hot weather. I added coconut to my macadamia nut latte and it was perfect. I didn't even have to decrease the sweetness. Yum! We also got the acai bowl, which was delicious, refreshing and so healthy. Instead of using granola, they used something that looks like a crushed up Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars, with some pieces being bigger than others. It's different yet good. Honey is drizzled on top of the fruits which makes the entire thing that much more appetizing. We also got the braised beef loco moco. It was so tender it practically melted, and the gravy was rich and savory without being overpowering. Combined with the runny yolk and rice, this is ultimate comfort food. Expect a 20 min for this dish. The girls who worked here were nice and friendly.

Coffee place in the queen Kapiolani hotel. Tried both a regular coffee and a regular latte. Service was good, clean and fresh. Great little spots to sit and get out of the rain or sun. I felt it was somewhat bitter.

They have happy hour for certain drinks from 2-4 pm! My strawberry matcha was only $6.50 compared to $8. It was refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. They have plenty of seating too! They are a little harder to find since they are in a hotel but it makes it less crowded.

i have very mixed feelings about this place. I'm a very strong coffee lover, reasons of the flavor, caffeine, and ambiance. Only found this place cause my wife saw it on Ig somewhere and looked really nice. Interior is actually very nice with much seatings (including the lobby), which brings me to my first concern. when they push out food and drinks, they place it on a rubber mat and yell out the item name, so my concern is what if there was 10 same items that was ordered back to back? I'll just run up and grab first one. WEAK SYSTEM. Second, When I was placing order, order came out to about $40 for 2 coffees and 2 food items. then it prompts for a 18%, 20%, and 22% tip suggestion. What service am I getting that suggests me to tip this much? Is it a sit down order? Is my table wiped and have been set up? Is food brought out to my table? nothing prompts me to tip at a cafe besides staff being friendly which they were not. I left $3 cash tip and the cashier gazed at me like I did something wrong. Staff here does not smile, does not care who grabs what, does not thank for tipping optionally, and especially does not have a cafe vibe. I'm giving this review a 2 star because food quality, drinks, and interior design is good. Service here is not it, especially when they are the first interaction people meet when they wake up. Do not have high expectations here

    Mini acaii bowl 09/14/25
    Naomi D.

First off, customer service is friendly. Secondly, the shop is clean and spacious. There's patio seating available. They have vibrant wall arts. We ordered two acaii bowls, two matcha drinks, and a chicken wrap. Total before tax was around $46.00. I like my strawberry matcha the most, then the chicken wrap, and then acaii. I'd recommend this place if you want to relax or get some work done. Bonus: they also have stamp cards!

I've been in town for nine days, and I've had my breakfast at Knight's Coffee Roasters every single morning. The coffee here is genuinely the best I've had. My daily routine has been a cappuccino, and it's perfect every time--rich, smooth, and exactly what I need to start my day. For food, I've had either a croissant or a toasted bagel with butter and honey. The croissant is delicious and at six dollars, it feels like a fair price. However, I'm a bit confused by the bagel price. It's nine dollars, which seems very expensive, especially compared to the croissant. I even brought it up, but it appears to be the correct price on the menu. That one small detail aside, I absolutely love the atmosphere. The ambience is wonderful, and it's so quiet and peaceful around 6 a.m. It's the perfect spot for a calm, relaxing start to the day.

I have been here almost every day in Hawaii. I don't like cold brew but I LOVE the peppermint cold brew here. It might actually be an obsession. The staff have all been nice and they're super quick! There's grab and go items here too like other drinks and local snacks. A nice surprise when I saw they have beer, wine and cocktails. I was surprised when I saw that and they're not at a bad price for being a coffee shop in a nice hotel. Make sure you look for their seasonal menu when you get here for some extra coffee and cocktail options. There is a great food selection too.

Great Mango Peach Ice tea comes unsweetened with a bold black tea. Lovely sitting/lobby area and the wait is minimal early in the day.

Knots Coffee Roasters is conveniently located inside the lobby of the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel Waikīkī. I found myself starting my mornings everyday at Knots Coffee since I was staying at the hotel. Nice open layout and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your coffee and some breakfast. I didn't try the food but I believe most of the hot food comes from Deck, the hotel restaurant. I received fast service and they even offered me a punch card for a free drink.

Great atmosphere and better açai bowls! One of the only coffee shops in town where the bathroom isn't in another building.

Great breakfast/coffee spot that's open early for anyone staying at the hotel or passing by. They have a variety of drinks and food made to order, fresh pastries, and premade options from the fridge.

I don't like pâté (my wife) but I'm now a fan. The grilled octopus was heavenly, like a steak, but more delicate. Our final main was the seafood Paella. Amazing. Located in Waikiki along Lewers Street near Kuhio Ave. It's on the first floor sharing the same building with Oyster Hale and Genius Lounge. They don't have any affiliation with any parking garages, you're on your own. The inside is surprisingly big and spacious with bar and outdoor seatings, and high ceilings in the main dining room. The main theme is Spanish Tapas with mostly small or bite size dishes with a few paella and main entrees. Everything sounded good! "Pinchos" dishes is really just one bite. The Smoked Salmon was nothing special. It ate like a normal salmon with cream cheese. The other flavors such as dill, pink peppercorn, and orange did not come out. The Buñuelos Butterfish Fritter were good. Light, airy, doughy! nicely fried and seasoned. Didn't really taste much butterfish. The Tapas were a generous amount! The Shrimp Ajillo was flavorful with paprika and garlic. Shrimp was cooked well. The spice didn't come out from the dried chili peppers. The best was the Housemade Baguette! Warm, soft inside, crunchy outside. Better than at Vietnamese restaurants! Unfortunately, the dish and sauce was too salty--even for a person who likes more taste. The Octopus Ala Gallega was very good. Nicely grilled octopus to tender with a nice charred taste. Just needed some salt. Potatoes were good. Chimichurri sauce was flavorful. Generous amount of olive oil. The Uni & Crab Pasta was all right. I've had better. The spaghetti was a touch too Al dente. The flavor was very one note with the rich cream sauce and uni. There wasn't the sweetness from the crab. The cherry tomato was just there to be there for a bite. Would have been nice to get some acidity and sweetness throughout the dish. The Seafood Paella was very basic. Very disappointed with zero char on the rice. What's the point of the pan? It definitely needed higher heat. Everything ate like it was covered and simmered on low heat until the seafood was cooked. Very simple. The Ube Basque Cheesecake was good. Not too sweet, not too much Ube flavor with a light custard-like interior. Overall, this was a decent meal. All the dishes were beautifully presented, but needed some seasoning adjustments. Don't think I'll order the same dishes next time. The service was excellent. Very friendly, information, and attentive server. Comfortable dining area. Unfortunate it has no parking affiliation. I'll definitely comeback for their Housemade Baguette!

We also got the fried calamari and it was perfectly golden and tender, not rubbery at all. Light, crispy coating and super snackable -- especially dipped in the sauce. But the sleeper hit? The smoked ahi with lavosh. So flavorful and fresh, with that smoky richness balanced by the crisp lavosh. It felt light but still packed with taste -- a perfect contrast to the heavier fried stuff. Honestly, everything hit. Great mix of indulgent and fresh, and I'd order this exact combo again without hesitation.

We stopped in during their happy hour from 3-5 PM, and it immediately stood out as an ideal after-work pau hana or easy date-night spot. The space is relaxed and inviting, with a calm, tucked-away feel that makes you forget you're inside a hotel. The happy hour menu is impressively priced, with starters beginning at just $6, yet everything feels thoughtfully prepared and elevated. Highlights included the toasted bread with sun-dried tomato pistou -- warm, crisp toast paired with a deeply savory, herbaceous spread that's simple but incredibly satisfying. The mini poke bowl was fresh and well-balanced, showcasing clean flavors and quality fish without being overly heavy. The fish tacos delivered exactly what you want: crispy island fish, bright flavors, and a great balance of texture. We also tried the fish and chips, featuring lightly fried island fish, hot fries, and a creamy house remoulade that tied the dish together beautifully. The standout for us was the empanadas -- flaky, crisp pastry filled with tender braised beef and potato, finished with a bold aji rojo sauce that added just the right amount of depth and gentle heat.
