    Still waiting for my drink
    Katie R.

Honestly, I keep coming back because I'm clearly in a toxic relationship with this coffee shop. It's my favorite spot, for the convienence and view - but they frequently treat my coffee order like a long-lost friend they forgot to invite to the party. Like, I've ordered coffee and food here before and they've just weiiiiirdly forgotten to make it...multiple times. Today I waited 25 minutes, just vibing with my friend while they finished their food and drink, before realizing I had to ask where MY drink was. They apologized and fixed it immediately, but it's becoming a 'thing.' I'm still going to come here, but I'm honestly looking for a new favorite spot where they don't forget to make my coffee, at a coffee shop. If you go here, bring a book, be prepared to wait, and definitely don't be shy about asking for your drink. It's a test of patience, but the coffee is good when you finally get it!

Knots is located in the lobby area of one of the hotels in Waikiki, within walking distance to the beach and many other hotels. A clean space with ample seating and drink choices. This was the first time I've tried a peppermint cold brew & I enjoyed it! They also have some shirts and other merch available.

I love Mac nut lattes. I am glad to have tried out knots. It was delicious and creamy. I also like that they offer 12oz for iced lattes because the drink stays good the entire time you drink it. Anything 16 oz or bigger tastes too watered down when you get towards the end of your drink. They are located in the lobby of the hotel. It's a nice area to chill while drinking your coffee. They also had food but I only tried the drinks. Perhaps another time when I return to Oahu.

Came to knots to get some work done and take a few meetings. The cafe is extremely clean and the service has been great so far. They have a good amount of food options to choose from and even happy hours.

    Coconut. Macadamia nut iced latte

I'm a sucker for tropical, atypical flavored lattes. I searched for macadamia nut latte and found this gem. Hidden inside a tiny mall with a few shops, it's inviting with its opened concept, perfect for the hot weather. I added coconut to my macadamia nut latte and it was perfect. I didn't even have to decrease the sweetness. Yum! We also got the acai bowl, which was delicious, refreshing and so healthy. Instead of using granola, they used something that looks like a crushed up Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars, with some pieces being bigger than others. It's different yet good. Honey is drizzled on top of the fruits which makes the entire thing that much more appetizing. We also got the braised beef loco moco. It was so tender it practically melted, and the gravy was rich and savory without being overpowering. Combined with the runny yolk and rice, this is ultimate comfort food. Expect a 20 min for this dish. The girls who worked here were nice and friendly.

Coffee place in the queen Kapiolani hotel. Tried both a regular coffee and a regular latte. Service was good, clean and fresh. Great little spots to sit and get out of the rain or sun. I felt it was somewhat bitter.

Friendly service, great coffee and unique breakfast items. Affordable options for the budget traveler like me.

    Mini acaii bowl 09/14/25

First off, customer service is friendly. Secondly, the shop is clean and spacious. There's patio seating available. They have vibrant wall arts. We ordered two acaii bowls, two matcha drinks, and a chicken wrap. Total before tax was around $46.00. I like my strawberry matcha the most, then the chicken wrap, and then acaii. I'd recommend this place if you want to relax or get some work done. Bonus: they also have stamp cards!

I've been in town for nine days, and I've had my breakfast at Knight's Coffee Roasters every single morning. The coffee here is genuinely the best I've had. My daily routine has been a cappuccino, and it's perfect every time--rich, smooth, and exactly what I need to start my day. For food, I've had either a croissant or a toasted bagel with butter and honey. The croissant is delicious and at six dollars, it feels like a fair price. However, I'm a bit confused by the bagel price. It's nine dollars, which seems very expensive, especially compared to the croissant. I even brought it up, but it appears to be the correct price on the menu. That one small detail aside, I absolutely love the atmosphere. The ambience is wonderful, and it's so quiet and peaceful around 6 a.m. It's the perfect spot for a calm, relaxing start to the day.

They have happy hour for certain drinks from 2-4 pm! My strawberry matcha was only $6.50 compared to $8. It was refreshing and the perfect amount of sweetness. They have plenty of seating too! They are a little harder to find since they are in a hotel but it makes it less crowded.

I have been here almost every day in Hawaii. I don't like cold brew but I LOVE the peppermint cold brew here. It might actually be an obsession. The staff have all been nice and they're super quick! There's grab and go items here too like other drinks and local snacks. A nice surprise when I saw they have beer, wine and cocktails. I was surprised when I saw that and they're not at a bad price for being a coffee shop in a nice hotel. Make sure you look for their seasonal menu when you get here for some extra coffee and cocktail options. There is a great food selection too.

Great Mango Peach Ice tea comes unsweetened with a bold black tea. Lovely sitting/lobby area and the wait is minimal early in the day.

Knots Coffee Roasters is conveniently located inside the lobby of the Queen Kapiʻolani Hotel Waikīkī. I found myself starting my mornings everyday at Knots Coffee since I was staying at the hotel. Nice open layout and plenty of seating to relax and enjoy your coffee and some breakfast. I didn't try the food but I believe most of the hot food comes from Deck, the hotel restaurant. I received fast service and they even offered me a punch card for a free drink.

Honestly El Cielo, all menu we tried even wine and draft beers, were top class, I love to nominate as the best restaurant in Hawaii. I am so glad I found the great restaurant, I was seeking for. Prices were not bad, as inflation everything costs are so expensive nowadays. Everywhere!! Their services are great too. If I live close by I would go El Cielo once or twice a week. Everything was bursting with flavor! This is what we had: Starter salad from the seasonal menu of watermelon, strawberries, blueberries and greens served on a bed of yuzu infused goat cheese and drizzled with a shiso chimmichuri sauce. Yes, bursting with flavor! I would return for just this dish! Next shared was a tempura battered cauliflower served with a robust curry and yogurt reduction. Deeeelicious. I on the other hand had asked for a non-alcoholic option. Unfortunately, they ran out of ginger beer, all the sparkler options, and didn't serve any soda. The bartender looked pretty irritated by that point, and didn't even provide me with a glass of water. We would've grabbed a bunch of food to compensate for taking up a seat, but by then, the bartender had already dropped the check, and we hadn't even sat there for more than 5 minutes. The most interesting part was that an older couple sat next to us, similar situation. The gentleman asked for a glass of wine, and his wife asked for a non-alcoholic beverage. We stopped in during their happy hour from 3-5 PM, and it immediately stood out as an ideal after-work pau hana or easy date-night spot. The space is relaxed and inviting, with a calm, tucked-away feel that makes you forget you're inside a hotel. The happy hour menu is impressively priced, with starters beginning at just $6, yet everything feels thoughtfully prepared and elevated. Highlights included the toasted bread with sun-dried tomato pistou -- warm, crisp toast paired with a deeply savory, herbaceous spread that's simple but incredibly satisfying. The mini poke bowl was fresh and well-balanced, showcasing clean flavors and quality fish without being overly heavy. The fish tacos delivered exactly what you want: crispy island fish, bright flavors, and a great balance of texture. We also tried the fish and chips, featuring lightly fried island fish, hot fries, and a creamy house remoulade that tied the dish together beautifully. The standout for us was the empanadas -- flaky, crisp pastry filled with tender braised beef and potato, finished with a bold aji rojo sauce that added just the right amount of depth and gentle heat. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the overall vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Whether you're looking for a low-key happy hour, a casual date spot, or a place to unwind after work, this is a hidden gem worth seeking out. Hubby ordered a classic breakfast of Two Eggs w/ Bacon and Roasted Potatoes... wow! the bacon was crispy and yummy and just how I like my bacon cooked. He gave me 2-pieces, maybe because he saw me drooling over it LoL! but I'm telling you, Therese's Wagyu Cheeseburger on Brioche with French Fries looked mighty yummy too! Thank you, Terry, for inviting us to join you for a Sunday brunch. We had a wonderful first time dining experience here with good food and company! Review #3585

I'm currently choosing to avoid alcohol as much as possible, so I wasn't able to fully enjoy the incredible selection of wines recommended by the owner. However, I visited with a friend who is a true wine enthusiast, and they couldn't stop talking about how exceptional the wine selection was. The food, on the other hand, was absolutely outstanding. Every dish was beautifully prepared and so delicious that it genuinely made me happy. You can really tell that great care goes into every plate. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and incredibly inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and spend quality time with friends. Most of all, I want to compliment the owner and the entire staff. Their genuine kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality made our experience even more memorable. Excellent service can turn a great restaurant into a truly special one, and that's exactly what they've created here. Thank you for such joyful and memorable evenings. I look forward to coming back again soon, and I highly recommend Silver Lining to anyone looking for outstanding food, excellent wine, and truly exceptional hospitality.

They only serve natural wines, which made everything feel really intentional and thoughtfully chosen. We had a Pinot Noir, a super funky orange wine that was honestly really cool to try, and Coenobium -- a beautiful white wine made by nuns. At one point, a bottle of red wine was opened and poured as a little salute for the room -- a simple, unexpected moment that was really wholesome. For food, we shared the venison pâté with bread and a Caprese salad -- simple, but done so well and paired perfectly with everything. It wasn't just about what we had, but how the whole experience came together. There's something really special about what they're creating there. We are already planning our next visit!
