We were staying at the Queen Kapiolani hotel. This is the coffee shop right in the lobby. It was so convenient. There can be a long line but it moves pretty quickly. I got the first coffee on the menu, the longboard latte. It was so delicious! It was just the right amount of sweetness too. I got it hot and it was so good. My husband got it cold and that was good too. We also got the breakfast sandwich to try and that was yummy. Visited Knots Coffee Roasters for breakfast before heading to Koko Head, and it gave me the boost I needed. I ordered the breakfast burrito, which was a really reasonable price for the heart of Waikiki. On top of that, it was both big and satisfying. It's mainly made with eggs, potatoes, bell peppers, and cheese, so if you like eggs, you'll enjoy it. Some of my friends thought it had too many eggs and lacked actual meat of some sort, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The burritos are premade and warmed up after you order, so you can't really make any modifications. You can also order from the restaurant upstairs, but we were told the wait is around 30 minutes. Honestly, I keep coming back because I'm clearly in a toxic relationship with this coffee shop. It's my favorite spot, for the convienence and view - but they frequently treat my coffee order like a long-lost friend they forgot to invite to the party. Like, I've ordered coffee and food here before and they've just weiiiiirdly forgotten to make it...multiple times. Today I waited 25 minutes, just vibing with my friend while they finished their food and drink, before realizing I had to ask where MY drink was. They apologized and fixed it immediately, but it's becoming a 'thing.' I'm still going to come here, but I'm honestly looking for a new favorite spot where they don't forget to make my coffee, at a coffee shop. I love Mac nut lattes. I am glad to have tried out knots. It was delicious and creamy. I also like that they offer 12oz for iced lattes because the drink stays good the entire time you drink it. Anything 16 oz or bigger tastes too watered down when you get towards the end of your drink. They are located in the lobby of the hotel. It's a nice area to chill while drinking your coffee. They also had food but I only tried the drinks. Perhaps another time when I return to Oahu. read more

I'm a sucker for tropical, atypical flavored lattes. I searched for macadamia nut latte and found this gem. Hidden inside a tiny mall with a few shops, it's inviting with its opened concept, perfect for the hot weather. I added coconut to my macadamia nut latte and it was perfect. I didn't even have to decrease the sweetness. Yum! We also got the acai bowl, which was delicious, refreshing and so healthy. Instead of using granola, they used something that looks like a crushed up Nature Valley Crunchy Granola Bars, with some pieces being bigger than others. It's different yet good. Honey is drizzled on top of the fruits which makes the entire thing that much more appetizing. We also got the braised beef loco moco. It was so tender it practically melted, and the gravy was rich and savory without being overpowering. Combined with the runny yolk and rice, this is ultimate comfort food. Expect a 20 min for this dish. The girls who worked here were nice and friendly. read more

We ordered two acaii bowls, two matcha drinks, and a chicken wrap. Total before tax was around $46.00. I like my strawberry matcha the most, then the chicken wrap, and then acaii. My daily routine has been a cappuccino, and it's perfect every time--rich, smooth, and exactly what I need to start my day. For food, I've had either a croissant or a toasted bagel with butter and honey. The croissant is delicious and at six dollars, it feels like a fair price. However, I'm a bit confused by the bagel price. It's nine dollars, which seems very expensive, especially compared to the croissant. I even brought it up, but it appears to be the correct price on the menu. That one small detail aside, I absolutely love the atmosphere. I have been here almost every day in Hawaii. I don't like cold brew but I LOVE the peppermint cold brew here. It might actually be an obsession. The staff have all been nice and they're super quick! There's grab and go items here too like other drinks and local snacks. A nice surprise when I saw they have beer, wine and cocktails. I was surprised when I saw that and they're not at a bad price for being a coffee shop in a nice hotel. i have very mixed feelings about this place. I'm a very strong coffee lover, reasons of the flavor, caffeine, and ambiance. Only found this place cause my wife saw it on Ig somewhere and looked really nice. Interior is actually very nice with much seatings (including the lobby), which brings me to my first concern. when they push out food and drinks, they place it on a rubber mat and yell out the item name, so my concern is what if there was 10 same items that was ordered back to back? I'll just run up and grab first one. WEAK SYSTEM. Second, When I was placing order, order came out to about $40 for 2 coffees and 2 food items. then it prompts for a 18%, 20%, and 22% tip suggestion. What service am I getting that suggests me to tip this much? Is it a sit down order? Is my table wiped and have been set up? Is food brought out to my table? nothing prompts me to tip at a cafe besides staff being friendly which they were not. I left $3 cash tip and the cashier gazed at me like I did something wrong. Staff here does not smile, does not care who grabs what, does not thank for tipping optionally, and especially does not have a cafe vibe. I'm giving this review a 2 star because food quality, drinks, and interior design is good. Service here is not it, especially when they are the first interaction people meet when they wake up. Their Longboard Latte (coconut macadamia nut latte) with oat milk was so delicious and creamy! They had a large menu with food options too. The service was amazing, my first day here they whipped out my drink by the time I finished ordering and paying! The workers are so friendly. And if the beautiful patio doesn't convince you enough to check this place out I don't know what will! WHEN: Mon @1:30pm I felt the need to just hang out at a coffee shop. I'm glad this spot is just a block from the airbnb we were staying. It's quite spacious and I love how half it is semi-outdoors. They have an extensive menu, but sadly their soft serve machine was broken. So I ended up with: LONGBOARD LATTE - $7.50 Coconut Macademia Nut Latte. This was quite tasty! I enjoyed it! I had a wonderful time here, and even after the cafe closes, the seating area is still open since it's located inside a hotel. I really like that! read more

The food and drink I had was really good. The açaí was absolutely Perfect. The reason why I only give 3 starts is because most of their food items were out of stock. We didn't try the food, because compared to other breakfast/brunch places along the beach, we though their offerings were quite expensive. Because we were staying in the Queen Kapiolani Hotel though, we frequented this spot for coffee in the mornings. Coffee is okay, I think where they shine is their acai bowls, which we got several times for a nice cool snack. They put granola in the bottom of their acai bowls which makes them a bit more filling than other acai bowls, and they do not skimp on their fruits. I do think they need to work on their workflow though, because we once waited for 15 minutes for a cold brew which they literally poured out of a bottle. read more

Service is not attentive. We have been here twice now and they don't acknowledge you when you're in line. They make eye contact but they won't greet you. The reason why we went back was their breakfast menu. I've been wanting to get a bagel with cream cheese while my fiance loves his banana toast. The lox and bagel are okay, would have been nice if they hadn't forgotten the onions. Cream cheese had no flavor so it doesn't do much to the bagel. For the banana toast, they use cream cheese instead of peanut butter-very interesting. Coffee is okay. Their breezy brown sugar latte is so sweet! So the second visit I got their Americano. And it was much better. Their expresso is decent but Kai's is better. read more
