Loved finding out this location was only a block away from my hotel! Much closer than the SALT location. This one was in the Surf Jack hotel. A small cafe but there are seats around the cute pool. Menu is small. Quick service style. I ordered a strawberry matcha was yummy and I drank it pretty fast, I was trying to savor it. I enjoyed my drink by the pool and just took in the moment. I love Oahu and I never want to leave!

Tastes good just meh service.

Great matcha, but zero customer service. No good morning, no how are you, no what can I get you -- just vibes of indifference. Luckily the matcha is good enough to make up for it.

Cute little coffee spot within a hotel. The barista was nice, and we got a hot matcha latte & a strawberry matcha latte w/ oat milk. The matcha was sludge-y and grainy, I couldn't really taste the strawberry either. If u see the attached photo, it was super frothy as well. The owner (I didn't know til she told us afterwards) for whatever reason was outside and asked how we liked our drinks and I was honest. She offered to remake / refund, which I appreciated but strange that she was hovering outside. I appreciate how nice her offer was, but if I am to pay 8$ for a drink I expect it to be worth 8, and not need a remake. I would give this spot another shot, but since I'm on vacation that won't be possible. I wish them luck, the reviews looked great, hopefully I just had a one off experience.

I love trying new coffee places and I had to stop here! I asked the barista what they recommended and they told me the activated charcoal latte! Without hesitation, I said, yes! Sounds intimidating at first, but they add a vanilla syrup that's made in house and it was delicious. There are a couple of tables out front, but by the pool there are couches, benches and more tables to sit at.

Fruity pebbles matcha, and salted maple late

Service was pretty mid. Typical younger - unengaged gals too busy chatting amongst themselves. However the drinks were yummy, so can't complain. Vibes in the hotel were nice and the discount helped despite it being pretty slow.

First time at this Arvo location. I usually go to the one in the SALT building when I'm here on vacation. This one was so cute! Very small off to the side of Surf jack. It was quiet when we got there so no waiting in line. The strawberry matcha was decent, tasted a bit powdery. Iced coffee was good. Came to around $11, there is a small discount if you pay cash. Server was good and friendly. Keep in mind this location doesn't serve food here like the other location.

I come here a little too often.....but it's one of my favorite places! Coffee and matcha are great :) strawberry matcha is my favorites and it's not too sweet. Staff is always smiley and sweet (another bonus to coming here). The vibe is unique and welcoming

Small, quaint coffee shop attached to the Surfjack. For such a small hidden shop they put out a great product. Coffee was smooth and not acidic. The latte was perfect balance. I loved the detail they did on the top of both lattes for us. The price was also super reasonable for Waikiki. Plus, if you are staying at the Surfjack you get a discount. Good to know for those staying there. The barista was friendly and made his job look effortless. We will be stopping by again on another morning walk.

What a surprise to have found Arvo here in Waikiki! My usual spot for all things brunch spot in Kaka'ako now has a second home here in Waikiki and what a cool spot it is. The shop size is much larger at this location and shadier as well and their retail shop has lots of great items for gifts or to treat yourself. Who knew they silently opened their Waikiki location last year but the secret is out and I'm excited! Congratulations Arvo with all your yummy bites and drink along poolside this will be the place for the grab that cravings though one early as they do close at 2pm. Thank you!

Charcoal Latte. YUM

Stayed at the Surfjack this week (the best boutique hotel in Waikiki ever btw. Hotel guests also get a discount!) and had the pleasure of having the quaint and convenient Arvo in the lobby. I grabbed an iced charcoal infused latte with oat milk before starting my remote work day by the pool and it was the perfect morning pick-me-up to get my caffeine boost in. Service was super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wait was short. This has become my go-to during our trip! I'll try a new flavor next time...

Good coffee! The Surfjack Hotel and Swim Club has this quaint little coffee stop called Banks Journal layered inside the Arvo surf shop where they sell the "Wish You Were Here" pool/Beach towels. Stop in!

From their coffee cake(I recommend slapping a lil cream cheese on it) to their iced mocha Arvo offers a fun beachy cafe experience to your stay at Surfjack. Can't recommend them for breakfast enough.

Friendly staff and good taste of coffee! So many cute items too!! Must stop by if you are in Waikiki!

Two toasties (top), one cappuccino (middle), and two charcoal lattes (bottom)

While traveling I try to hit up a…read morenew local coffee shop every day and on this morning it happened to be Maleko Coffee and Pastries. This might be one of the only places in Waikiki open at 4 AM which is perfect if you've just arrived the night before from the East Coast. The inside of the shop feels homey. They have a display case full of pastries along with additional baked goods set out nearby. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a coconut latte and then ordered a blueberry malasada while my father went with a custard-filled one. At Maleko, the malasadas are pre-made but not filled until you order which I think is a smart move. I first tried my blueberry malasada and thought it was good. The dough was light and fluffy and the filling had a great flavor. As for my coffee, I have to agree with other reviews that the syrup made it overly sweet. I still drank it, but I definitely would have preferred something less sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again for the malasadas. As for the coffee, I would probably pass unless you prefer your drinks on the sweeter side.

I came in because I saw that they had vegan donuts. He said I could do guava, blueberry, or plain,…read morebut he recommended the guava. It was less than three dollars including tax, so definitely affordable. The guava filling was great, but the donut itself was kind of bland. If it weren't so cheap, I would have given it three stars. But it was a good deal and I might go back.

Ala Moana location - closed. Royal Hawaiian Shopping center…read morelocation - closed. This is the only standing Kulu Kulu and I hope this place does not close, or if it does relocate, come closer to Central Oahu where the rent is cheaper, haha (hint). This location is on the outer edges of Waikiki on Hobron Lane in Eaton Square. I rarely venture to Waikiki, and if I do make the dreaded drive to "town", this place and Kan Sushi will be the only regular places where I will make my stop(s), because its so worth it. I've had a long-standing love-affair with Kulu Kulu from the Shirokiya Food Court location with it's waffle bears and Hello Kitty waffles, the takeout Nama Chocolate cups stocked at Mitsuwa Marketplace and now here, in town. The Ube Coconut Mousse $6.95 blew our minds, it was THE best tasting thing, ever. Both the ube and the coconut were not cloying, and as with all of their treats, not overly sweet either. That's why I love Japanese pastries, they get the sweetness just perfect and I have no idea how they mastermind that ratio! Strawberry Panna Cotta $5.95 was creamy, flavorful, delicious and surprisingly light and refreshing for such a creamy dessert. I normally don't get this kind of combination of flavors, and it tasted like something you'd get in a Michellin-rated establishment. Looking back at the photos, I see vanilla bean seeds in the panna cotta, so every loving detail and nuance shows through with each mouthful. Nama Chocolate $5.75 is my go-to chocolate LOVE. It's cut into cool creamy semi-sweet squares dusted with cocoa and it melts in your mouth! This is my favorite of all things that Kulu Kulu makes. I actually enjoy this better than the famous Royce Chocolates from Japan. We ordered another seasonal Strawberry dessert slice cake but it was eaten before I could review (and/or taste it); I've heard it was very very delicious. This place is so good that I plan to bring my friends who will be visiting from Virginia here to try their pastries. I also plan to support this business for as long as I can and make more frequent trips to town just to get these amazing desserts.

Consistently the best reminds me of Japan…read more Thank you CHRIS My family enjoys their beautiful delicious talented cakes for each birthday and special occasion We need a CAKE CLUB CARD because we buy so many cake$$$
