This is a small cafe in the Kuhio food hall within the International Marketplace. They have smoothies and breakfast items, including acai bowls. We got a couple of acai bowls and they were so good and refreshing. The fruits were really fresh and the acai was sweet. I think they were generous with the honey, which made the bowls really yummy. I appreciate that this place was one of the few places open early in the morning when we came to pick up our rental car. I appreciate that the line moved pretty quickly. However, this was easily the worst acai bowl I think I have had. I ordered a breakfast burrito and acai bowl. I think they forgot my order because several other tables got their food (including acai bowls) but mine never came out. A waiter even came out to ask if I was waiting on my food since I was sitting at an empty table and I told him yes and he went to tell the staff. Only then did I see them start pulling stuff out at the bar. He came back out with my breakfast burrito and told me my acai bowl would be coming out shortly. Breakfast burrito was poorly wrapped - you can see that it was already starting to fall apart on the plate. I recommend that it could be wrapped in foil to help maintain it's shape. That being said, the contents were solid and it was tasty enough. The acai bowl was bad. The fruit was likely not fresh - the bluberries were literally frozen and some were frozen in a block of ice which was kind of disgusting.... I could literally see the corner that it had frozen into. Granola was weird - some parts were super stale and hard, hurt my teeth and others were normal. Anyway - it's fine if youre hungry and its the only thing open but def don't get the acai :) read more

Not worth $15!!! Me and my family wanted ice cream but didn't wanna walk far. IL Gelato Hawai'i pops up and its is located in International Marketplace close by so we walked there and i seen the shop that was next to them (IL Gelato Hawai'i) the shop next to them was Cafe Waikiki and they sell all kinds of goodies but i was feeling for an açaí bowl. Absolutely loved this place! Cafe Waikiki on the left at one of the entrances to the food hall. It's a cute little corner spot! There's a large selection of food ranging from açaí bowls to crepes and bagels/ toast. There was also a decent selection of coffee options. I came around lunch time on a Tuesday and it wasn't too busy. The customer service was superb and Bryan and Jan were super helpful in answering my questions and even recommending some things. They were super warm and welcoming and I'd even come back just for them! I ordered a latte and the avocado toast to go. The presentation was great and the taste did not disappoint! The avocado toast was on sourdough bread which was definitely my favorite part. They also put both an avocado spread and sliced avocados on top which I thought made it even better! The latte was also super good. Their espresso was nice and smooth to my liking and their syrups added some nice flavor without it being overpowering. Call me cheap, but when you go to a counter to order a dish, you swipe your own card, and then pick it up your own meal at the counter, why is the company asking for a 22-25% tip? And what service am I tipping for? Not to mention that I ordered a cup of water, and then after I paid for my bowl, I was told I had to pay 26 cents for the cup. I said nevermind, considering I had no cash and I wasn't about to charge 26 cents for their mess up. I didn't want to cause a scene or else I would have asked for the $2 tip back that I paid and used that for the cup of water. I even bussed my own dish. How ridiculous to ask for a tip. read more

What a great find this morning! We walked out of our hotel looking for an intimate place for breakfast, and found ourselves here. I got to have the perfect healthy breakfast while away from home, which is always an achievement. I ordered the smoothie with almond milk, spinach, bananas, butter and honey, and it was perfect. To top it off, Lee, the manager of the whole Kuhlo food hall area dropped by and he was such a wonderful warm soul. Wandered around for a breakfast spot and found this stall in the Kuhio Avenue Food Hall. We ordered the Mango Madness smoothie, chicken & waffles, and the blueberry french toast. We were confused as to where the food was being made since we were initially told to pick it up at a different stall, but the smoothie was blended together quickly. The cashier did hand us the food after all, I am assuming the food is made elsewhere. We were also offered eggs and asked what style we'd like them but didn't receive any in our order. I thought everything was okay, nothing special but I did finish my french toast. There were a lot of blueberries, not that much flavor in the compote and I wished there was more ricotta as well as warmth when biting into it. All the syrup poured onto the waffles due to the packaging, and I feel as if the price does not match with the portion size or the taste. Glad we tried it, but I wouldn't come here again. read more
