One of my favorite places for smoothies and açaí bowls. Gets crowded, but service is pretty fast.

Açaí bowl small
Ashley G.

I absolutely love the smoothies and açaí bowls here. Expensive? Yes. But it's in the beach in Waikiki so what were you expecting? Pro tip: do not leave food unattended or on the edge of the table or the birds WILL come for it.

So happy to see this spot on this end of Waikiki. To note: I did not eat an acai bowl, I went straight smoothie 2 days in a row. And it was good? I wouldn't say the most robust smoothie for the price, but I appreciate healthy options when I can get it. I did add a few of the add-on's like protein, which added to the price, making my smoothie close to $16/$17+ which is steep for a smoothie that isn't the biggest. Overall, great option for a quick and healthy start to the day/mid-day meal. It's pricey, but what isn't in Waikiki!?

Lava and Monkey bowls
Michele T.

The Monkey bowl is our fave. Nice way to start our day after our morning walk. This time we also tried the I Lava You bowl - another good one.

Good place. Everything is fresh and delicious.Recommend for a nice breakfast morning.

Avocado Toast

I first came here because the place that I usually get my avocado toast closed without any notice. I decided to walk around to see what was open at 6 AM and discovered Sunrise Shack. I was surprised at the size of the bread they use. It was huge! It is very tasty and filling. So I've returned 2 more times and always satisfied. The ladies working there are cheerful and friendly, always smiling. They have açaí bowls and smoothies as well as coffee. It is clean and oh- it's the Waikīkī location, across from the beach. They have outdoor seating. I hope they don't close. It's hard to find places open early to eat.

Tropical Smoothie

Sunrise Shack became my favorite go-to smoothie in Hawaii! This location was near my hotel, so I got to try a few things. -The Tropical Smoothie was my favorite! It is not only very pretty but it tastes fresh and delicious! -Blue Dream Smoothie was not too sweet, but the flavor was good. I still liked the tropical one best. -Monkey Bowl has a good amount of peanut butter. The bowl is delicious and flavorful. I thought it had a lot of different fruits. Overall I loved the smoothies and drinks here. They are not as sweet and more on the healthier side which I loved!

The perfect way to start a morning in Waikīkī is with a açaí bowl! They have a ton of different choices and we got the papaya bowl! They unfortunately didn't have one big papaya so we had to have 2 small ones instead. But it tasted amazing with lot of fresh fruits and peanut butter sauce on top!

Iced latte
David L.

Grabbed an iced latte before heading out to a work assignment. Delicious way to start the morning.

Delicious organic açaí bowls... we ran into the shop right before closing and they were so kind and helpful to ring us up. Such a cute sweet spot on Waikiki!

I ordered the Tropical smoothie. The workers are very polite and ordering was quick and easy. The smoothie was average nothing standout about it. The straw provided crumbled and we could no longer use it. Having been to the original sunrise shack, it's nice walking in and it brings you right back to the side of the road off Kam Highway with all the colorful walls and bright yellow stand.

Blue Dream Bowl

This is where paradise can be tasted! This Sunrise Shack was located right below our hotel at the Twin Fin, making it the perfect breakfast spot for us. Sunrise Shack, a vibrant grab-and-go cafe facing Waikiki Beach, specializes in delicious smoothie bowls. I went there twice. The first time, my girlfriend and I got the Acai Bowl, Tropical Bowl, and Almond Coconut Bowl. The second time I got the Blue Dream Bowl and Papaya Bowl. The Tropical Bowl was my personal favorite but everything else was also amazing. Would highly recommend if you're visiting Hawaii!

The monkey bowl was so good

Cute little spot to get açaí bowls. Monkey bowl was my favorite. I'm a sucker for anything peanut butter and this hit the spot

I am sad that this is my third time staying in a hotel so close to it, but the first trip I actual went here. The food is fantastic. It is an order and pick up at the counter eatery. My daughter (an açaí bowl junkie) had read the reviews and really wanted to try an açai bowl so we set out to find it. We visited on a Monday morning for breakfast. The decor is beachy and tropical . The vibe is casual and relaxed. It has a tiny indoor seating area and a few tables outside. We sat outside. We ordered a latte, an açai bowl, and a smoothie. I was bummed that my smoothie could not be customized. The base was premade so I was not able to make any adjustments to it. Our items were ready in a reasonable amount of time. The portion size was a little smaller than we expected. As for taste, the açai bowl was good. The smoothie was a little bland, but at the same time, had a tad too much honey. Service was wonderful. We would visit again.

Hawaii popularized the version widely found in the USA, adding local toppings like papaya, lilikoi, and macadamia nuts to the frozen blended berry base. And she recommended the best place. They frequently top the "Yelp's Best..." lists! I got to meet the gentleman behind the business, Cal. He's sweet, humble, and has a great personality. As for the waffle and acai bowl: It was spoonful after spoonful of tasty eats. At one point, I started topping my waffle with my acai bowl. It's that brunch combination that pairs warm, crispy waffles with cold, thick, and refreshing acai smoothie toppings that makes it oh so alluring. The combination offers a contrast in textures and temperatures and textures (fruit, granola, nuts, and drizzled honey) that makes it moreish. Just typing about it now makes my mouth become a waterfall. Pop in if you're in the Waikiki area! If you're not in the area, it's still well worth a visit if you're in need of some healthy eats and carbs.

The juices here are really amazing, which says a lot for my partner and me as we typically turn our noses down on them because they taste too healthy and disgusting for us lol. Not this place though. We tried the following: - Blue Hawaii - seasonal special. Gingery and zesty. - ALOH signature - wow, what a delicious and refreshing green juice! Can't believe how healthy and how much vegetables are in it--yet, it doesn't taste "awful" as other green juices I've tried at other places. - Likelike - amazing beet juice. It's a bit sweeter than the other juices, thanks to the beet. - Macadamia latte (hot with oat milk) - oops, I accidentally ordered it with oat milk instead of macadamia milk. By the time I realized my error, it was too late and the drink was in my hand already. Thus, the macadamia flavor wasn't very strong, but it wasn't bad either. - Mahana latte (iced) - great and refreshing, but not as complex as I expected based on the many ingredients listed for this drink. I think the espresso flavor was very strong and cut right through all other ingredients. Some people may delight in that, while others maybe less so. - Basil pesto toast - simple but good and filling. Comes in two pieces, which makes it easy to share with another person.

The only thing I didnt like about were the blueberries, they were consistently sour, so maybe bc it's not in season. Overall, it's a great spot to check out !
