Came here after a lot of the other places were super busy and it was hard to find a seat and this was open! Good: - Tons of options! - The acai bowl tropical was super tasty - lots of fruit and good portion size - The ham and cheese panini filled me up! Very savory though a little cold Bad: - The papaya bowl was quite expensive for a tiny piece of fruit Overall this place was a perfect rainy day place to go.

Such a nice and tranquil place. Fresh smoothies, breakfast, pastries and coffee. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Today's is the first day, and for next few we will probably be coming here for our breakfast, and will keep you posted with updates.

This is the location inside the Outrigger Beachcomber which is convenient for guests or anyone staying near the International Market. They have a great selection of breakfast foods, coffees and sandwiches. We had the traditional waffle laden with fresh blueberries, bananas and strawberries. The garnish was a beautiful flower. It was a little dry, but otherwise good. The coffee drinks are large but appropriate to the price. Everyday of our week-long stay this place was crowded and noisy. Warning: if you want a traditional mainland breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast you will pay considerably more than you would at other nearby eateries. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant looks out on the pool area.

A hidden Caffe poolside at the Outrigger Beach Comber. Top of the elevators, a nice cozy cafe serving pizza, sandwiches, desserts, and array of coffee choices. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. A nice relaxing and laid back feel. Coffee was great and the Chai Lattee was perfectly blend. A plus for hotel guest inhouse.

The breakfast was included with our Outrigger Beachcomber stay. Quite hesitant at first then we saw the menu. Many options but $6 up charge if ordering higher end items... and Def worth it. Oj and coffee was also very good. We had the salmon benefit, ham and egg croissant and waffles. All very excellent. The salads were fresh with just the right amount of dressing. Waffles were slightly dense and chewy which i like. Salmon benefit was also excellent. Service was prompt and line moved quite fast. Kudos to the staff on Xmas day! The music is a bit loud for the morning but i adjusted and was a nice change. Thanks Aroma cafe for the great Xmas breakfast!

Hawaiian Aroma is a cute coffee cafe that is tucked away upstairs/ up the escalator in one of the Beachcomber hotels. It totally does not fee like a cafe since there's a pool with lounge seating on their deck (assuming for hotel guests only). There's more normal seating too, but it makes for a more unique setting. Pretty solid menu that is focused on coffee and breakfast, and some alcohol options later in the day. HAC has cold drip coffee, which is a total win in my book (!!!). It's not nitro nor cold brew. Like most/all shops in the islands, it's Kona beans. The cashier was nice and let us take our time since no one else was in line. I looked up the menu and Yelp reviews ahead of time which recommended I get their infamous Pineapple Coconut Loaf. It was a nice treat to complement my coffee! We came back a few hours later so my friend (who had to work PST hours) could get a caffeine boost. I just wanted more delish iced coffee. And then we came back another day too. Aloha!

Not that it factored into our decision to stay at the Outrigger Waikiki Beachcomber, but as we did our research on the hotel, one of the things that caught my eye was Hawaiian Aroma Caffe. Their positive Yelp reviews and the photos of their food already made them far more interesting than your typical sort of Starbucks, but I was even more intrigued once we were here. After seeing the lively atmosphere and everything they have to offer and it became even more apparent this place isn't just a spot to grab coffee and breakfast in the morning! Since our we received complimentary breakfast vouchers as part of our booking at the Outrigger Beachcomber, we ended up ordering almost exclusively from that menu (which still had a good variety to offer). However, we found more than a few things on their regular menu rather tempting. From their waffle dishes, breakfast plates, acai bowls and sandwiches to their smoothies and coffees, there was no shortage of enticing options to try. What's more, they also have a solid selection of beers and cocktails, as well as some awesome happy hour deals - $3 beers and a $10 pizza & beer combo - that are offered from 12-6pm...EVERY DAY! -- ICED LATTE We tried this with several flavors (Vanilla, Pineapple, Mango, Guava) and genuinely liked all of them. My favorite was with Pineapple (Guava was good but it was subtle), but even plain, this was pretty good. -- TRADITIONAL WAFFLE with Powdered Sugar and Topped with Fresh Strawberries, Banana, and Berries Not particularly unique, but no less solid. The fruits on this were all so delicious and fresh and the waffle itself was pretty good. While the outside could've been crispier, I really liked that it wasn't super dense. -- BREAKFAST BAGEL - Everything Bagel with Cheese, Egg, and Bacon I was worried that the bagel would be hard/dried out, but this was terrific! The bagel itself was soft and lightly toasted, there was a fair amount of bacon, and I loved how cheesy it was. Delicious! -- HAM & CHEESE CROISSANT - Honey Smoked Ham with American Cheese Personally, I thought the Breakfast Bagel was better, but this wasn't too shabby. Although the croissant wasn't super flakey, it had a nice buttery taste to it and there was a fair amount of cheese and ham in it. -- BANANA BREAD It had been a while since I had a good banana bread, so I was pretty hopeful for this one. Sadly, it was just okay. The bread had a decently strong taste of banana in it, but the top and edges felt a bit dry. -- PINEAPPLE COCONUT BREAD Much like with the Banana Bread, I had high hopes for this one and, thankfully, it didn't disappoint. Despite how it was a little sweet, I really liked the taste of the pineapple in this and the coconut shavings on top. -- GUAVA BREAD One of the workers suggested this one to us and she absolutely nailed it - this was awesome! The bread was really moist, not overly sweet, and had a nice hit of guava flavor to it. We liked this so much, we got two for the flight out! -- TURKEY PESTO PANINI - Homemade Pesto Aioli, Thinly Sliced Turkey, Provolone Cheese, Spinach, and Tomatoes on a Telera Roll I wasn't sure what to expect with this, but it was so good! While I do wish it had a bit more turkey (always true), it was complemented well by the provolone, veggies, and the pesto. Plus, the roll was perfect - crusty on the outside, fluffy on the inside. -- HAWAIIAN PIZZA with Ham and Pineapples (Happy Hour) This was the perfect happy hour snack - substantial yet not enough to fill us up. Plus, how could anyone not like a good flatbread? The crust had a nice crispiness and there was a generous amount of toppings! Even though our vouchers obviously incentivized us to come back as often as we did, there's a better than likely chance we would've ended up here more than once anyways. It certainly doesn't hurt that they're in the hotel lobby, but the food and the coffee are legit, numerous dishes piqued our curiosity, and the staff was incredibly friendly and nice. Regardless of whether it's with vouchers in hand, I have no doubt I'll be visiting Hawaiian Aroma Caffe again in the future! FOUR AND A HALF STARS rounded down.

Margarita pizza and pepperoni pizza

We popped in for the happy hour, and as soon as we opened the door we were taken back. There was a DJ bumping, the music and vibes were excellent in there. The bartender was all alone, yet she was slanging tins and busting out drinks fast. The happy hour deals were great. They had a cocktail and pizza special for $16 bucks. We Would definitely come back

Blackberry mimosa
Tab L.

Went for breakfast and ordered the bacon bagel sandwich which comes with a salad. I was disappointed actually because the bacon wasn't very crispy and the bagel could have been more toasty. Blackberry mimosa was good but nothing great. The place itself is super cute though and it had good service.

This was better than your average hotel included restaurant but it's not a destination to try. I got their waffle and it was good, standard. I got the banana mocha drink and it was too sweet to drink. Went back for an Americano and it was too dark to drink. I put four creams in and was still not drinkable. Very cute, tropical atmosphere but I would go across the street to Vintage Island coffee.

Tropical pizza

Got the pizza, açaí bowl and a sandwich, . Pictures of the advertised display food look better than served. Sandwich we got tasted more like a cheese sandwich and had a small amount of turkey and the portion of toppings in the pizza had less than what the display was. The açaí bowl was good. I suppose people come here for the breakfast food, coffee/tea and açaí bowls. The water in the back is self served, but remained empty the entire time we were there. It's decent if you're looking for a quick bite. There are other food options down the stairs and around the corner if looking for alternative options.

4/13/25 lavender & vanilla latte
Mary E.

They took over the old Starbucks. We were greeted immediately upon entering. The space is bright, open and has beachy vibes. I love the seating an aesthetic. They have coffees, teas, energy drinks and alcoholic drinks. I will need to come back and try their cocktails. But for now I ordered a lavender and vanilla iced latte (comes with 2 espresso shots) at the recommendation of one of the workers. It had strong espresso which I appreciated. They have lots of seating and a free water station. I saw some of the foods other customers ordered and their sandwich and paninis looked good. They also offer 15% discount for kama'aina.

Tropical and berry bowl
Jenelle G.

Love the different combo of açaí bowls here and it comes in 2 sizes. On top of that they have waffles, drinks, pastries, and other breakfast items. Take the escalator from the street and it's directly to your left. There's also a beautiful pool view and of the surrounding Waikiki buildings.

There was parking behind the building and it's free but very limited. I got the strawberry glow smoothie which was inspired from Hailey Beiber's smoothie at Erewhon, and $18. It was pretty good though and lowkey filling, I would compare this to an acai bowl in a cup. It was very thick and it tasted a little like bananas, there was a lot of good ingredients that benefit you though.

High ceilings, amazing color palette, adequate seating. The menu is pretty simplistic which I loved! The staff were so so kind which always makes or breaks a coffee shop experience (in my option), so thank you for being so welcoming! I ordered their The Cloud Matcha. I believe they use Wai Koko as the base & coconut cream for the top. The drink was good, but it was small and I felt like there wasn't enough matcha in it for how much I paid (over $8). They also don't have Wi-Fi (which I believe may be by design) so if you're planning on doing work, be prepared to use your hotspot if you have one. Overall, this is a beautiful space to have that "coffee shop" experience with friends to talk story or if you're looking for a quieter shop to relax and rewind.

This might be one of the only places in Waikiki open at 4 AM which is perfect if you've just arrived the night before from the East Coast. The inside of the shop feels homey. They have a display case full of pastries along with additional baked goods set out nearby. For my coffee on this morning I decided to go with a coconut latte and then ordered a blueberry malasada while my father went with a custard-filled one. At Maleko, the malasadas are pre-made but not filled until you order which I think is a smart move. I first tried my blueberry malasada and thought it was good. The dough was light and fluffy and the filling had a great flavor. As for my coffee, I have to agree with other reviews that the syrup made it overly sweet. I still drank it, but I definitely would have preferred something less sweet. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again for the malasadas. As for the coffee, I would probably pass unless you prefer your drinks on the sweeter side.
