Arrived at 8am on a Sunday and there was about a 30 minute wait. Staff was super friendly and the service was great. Ordered the Cocomac Soufflé (their version of a pancake) and a couple of eggs. The eggs were perfect. The soufflé looked amazing and that seemed to be the goal. The staff is looking for people taking good pics and helps by adding additional lighting with their phones for the perfect pic. I found it overly sweet and not much else. Other things from the menu looked great and people seemed to be enjoying those items more than the people with soufflés. Worth a visit but skip the Souffle.
This place is pretty small, and the wait was about 20-30 minutes. The line was long, but the host/hostess was super energetic and definitely kept things lively. When my group (party of 6) finally got to the front, things took a weird turn. The host joked that I was "too big" and said they'd have to give our table to another party of six, implying that if I wasn't there, my group would've been seated right away. I brushed it off at first, but there were a few more side comments during the meal when he came by to check on us. It definitely put a damper on the experience. As for the food, I ordered the loco moco -- it was okay, nothing to rave about. The standout dishes were the soufflé pancakes and the lobster egg Benedict. Both of those were actually really good and worth trying. Overall, I'd say go for the pancakes. Just be prepared for a tight space and, apparently, some unsolicited jokes -- especially if you're 6'4" and 280.
This place was SO good! I definitely recommend hitting this spot if you're in the area. It's very small and there's always a line -- but today, there was almost no line due to a torrential downpour. We only had to wait like 20 minutes to be sat! That being said, due to the sheer volume of people coming and going through this admittedly very small restaurant, the service does lack a bit. Our waiter was always rushed and barely had a moment to say hi. NHe wasn't ever rude though, and he was doing his absolute best, but we definitely sat for just a bit too long waiting for our check at the end of our meal. Now, back to the compliments. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, and it definitely feels like a small and comfortable eatery. The food is far and above other eatieres that have souffle pancakes. My French toast was as light and fluffy as a souffle pancake despite being French toast, with great cinnamon flavor. I regret not getting a dish that came with the breakfast potatoes though, those were SO good. My partner got Eggs Benedict with Kahlua Pork, which were delicious. You could taste every flavor, and the poached eggs were positively perfect. I think there will definitely be some growing pains with this place due to it's popularity, but despite that, this place is certainly one of the best spots to grab a filling breakfast near Waikiki beach.
Totally worth the wait. They have a great product and they know it, but they make sure they deliver the goods with some panache! Let's face it...you're here for the soufflé pancakes. Soft as a cloud...amazing presentation. For my money...the fruit topping is the way to go. Get there early, put your name in and enjoy it!
Friendly service, good food. One dish was cold but still tasty. Wait was decently long (45 minutes) but we were in no rush so not a problem. Ordered the meat lovers omelette with added veggies, the strawberry banana pancake (a crowd pleaser), and the vegetable eggs Benedict (not warm). Server offered me to go coffee - which made my day! The host even added some LED lighting to one persons food pics (which was just a friendly touch). Overall success!
You're welcomed with an Aloha as you walk into the restaurant. Waited for about 20 minutes for a single table. Worth it for the soufflé pancakes. Light, fluffy and paired with ripe berries, a nice tart yogurt and whipped cream. Absolutely delicious. Latte was excellent as well. Always get the soufflé pancakes here or you're doing it wrong.
Be prepared to come really early and/or wait. The restaurant is small but seats a good amount of people. We got there on Tuesday at 7:45am and waited about an hour to be seated. People know the drill: be prepared to order, eat and be on your way to make room for the next group. Ordered the very berry soufflé, ono breakfast with Portuguese sausage, eggs Benedict with pork and loco moco classic. Everything was amazing with such great flavors and large portions. The wait was hard with kids but would definitely love to come back!
When you arrive, don't be concerned at the line outside the door. It moves fairly quickly and so worth the wait. Service was excellent and fast even though they were extremely busy. Food was amazing! It will definitely be on my must go to whenever we are on the island. (We will be back next week, which will be twice in the last 6 weeks). All food looked great but expect leftovers. They serve big portions!
The wait may be long but it is worth it. We ended up getting takeout, which was much faster the restaurant accepts cash only and if you want the most fluffiest pancake pancakes ever then this is your place the three of us all ordered pancakes and we're not able to finish the entire meal so make sure you come hungry. My husband had the potatoes, bacon and eggs and it was perfectly seasoned and delicious. It is very close to Hawaiian village. Just a short walk up the block and totally worth it.
We walked here from our hotel. It's off the main strip. It's in an older neighborhood but when we seen a lot of people, we felt safe. You have you wore your name and the time you arrived to get added to the list. There is limited seating outside. There were a lot of people for breakfast. It was an hour before we were called. The place itself is a small cafe area. Finally, we were sat and ordered a berry soufflé with a side of over medium eggs and a lox bagel. The food came out rather promptly. With the First bite of the soufflé, I was happy to have endured the wait. So good! I recommend trying it! It's what they are known for. Their Lox was so good too! The employees were all friendly and grateful for our business.
It's our 2nd time here and the food is great especially the loco moco definitely a must try , pancake soufflé divine lest syrup on top the better , service is good staff is friendly, ambience basic needs a little update. The wait isa bit long and when u come make sure u sign in for your group to be called !
OMG. This is the spot. First of all, the host during my visit was amazing. The dude was witty and funny, so it made the wait feel like a breeze. Because of this, service was outstanding from the get go. It got better during the table service. The soufflé pancakes are AMAZING. If anything, this should be a must when ordering. I loved the coconut macnut soufflé pancake. It was rich and fluffy--done right! The best part was pairing it with an ono breakfast meal which included over medium eggs, home style potatoes, spam fried rice and turkey bacon. Their spam fried rice is a knockout, but mine was a tad on the cool side. Regardless, still outstanding. It's a vibe inside. Bright and uplifting with the host's awesome mood. I wanted to stop by a second time but they close on Mondays! Still, I loved it and will be back in the future.
My family and I went here for breakfast during our 1 week stay over Spring break. There was a wait but the food was worth it. Service: The service was super courteous Ambiance: It was very clean inside. Food: We all got different things and I have to say everything was delicious! * Souffle Pancake: My wife got this and I am not a pancake eater but I was intrigued and I tried it and well I had SEVERAL bites b/c it was so good (the picture doesn't do the presentation justice). * Eggs and bacon: My older son got his trusted breakfast and he loved it. * Acai Bowl: My younger son got the acai bowl and loved it. * Veggie Omelette: I got my veggie omelette and it was so tasty (with egg white and cheddar). read more

Aloha Kitchen is a pretty awesome breakfast spot right off the main strip in Waikiki, across from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. It's a small, but very kitschy little dining room that fits at most 20 tables so definitely go early or pack your patience as you wait for an opening. However, the service is fast, but friendly and they are able to turn the tables with extreme proficiency and also making you feel welcomed. The items to get at Aloha Kitchen are its souffle pancakes and loco moco. The souffle pancakes is essentially the size of the plate that it came on, but because of the airness and lightness of it's execution, you leave feeling full but not weighted down by normal carbs. The recommendation is the coconut macadamia nut pancake with its unique combination of flavor and textures. The other local item is their loco moco. Get it in its tradition form with the hamburger patty with an egg over easy, but add the spam fried rice over the white rice. The combination of flavors along with its terrific gravy makes this a can't miss item on your stay in Hawaii. The one thing to be aware of is, the will announce the name quickly and only a few times and if you're not present after the first few announcements, you'll be marked as a "no show" and will have to go back to the end of the line, so definitely wait out front if you're there any later than opening. Otherwise, in a sea of numerous breakfast spots in Waikiki, Aloha Kitchen really does stand out. I only wish they had a bigger space, but wonder if that would take away from the charm of this space. read more
3.5 stars A friend recommended this place because of their high reviews for soufflé, so I came to give it a try. I arrived around 8am and there was already a long line, at least 20 people waiting outside and it was fully packed inside. Given the situation, I decided to just order one popular soufflé to see how good it really is. When I went in to place my order, the staff told me that to-go orders don't start until 8:30am and it's cash only, which was a bit inconvenient. I waited until 8:30am and ordered the coconut soufflé. The soufflé itself was light, creamy, and mildly sweet, with a few small pieces of macadamia nuts. It was good, but honestly nothing that stood out, it tasted like a pretty standard soufflé. This place is definitely hyped for soufflé, so the long line wasn't surprising. But at $19.90 for a coconut soufflé, I don't think it's worth the wait or the price. read more

Amazing service and delicious food. Definitely worth the wait and will be back. My whole family was satisfied with their meal. You must try the Loco Moco, souffle of the month. My son said it was the best French Toast he ever had. Grateful family restaurant and atmosphere. read more

Aloha Kitchen sits just a short, easy walk off the main Waikiki strip, tucked far enough away to feel local but close enough that you can wander over without thinking twice. When you arrive, you sign into a simple log book and wait to be called. Classic island-casual operations. I visited on one of their periodic cash-only days (which I didn't realize until I got there), but the process was still smooth. As a solo diner, I waited about 15 minutes for a table. The service itself, though, felt a bit cold. Not rude--just...distant. I couldn't tell if it was because they didn't want to give up a 2-top for one person, but it definitely gave off that vibe. I was seated, served, and handed the check very quickly, and the overall experience lacked the warmth and welcome you'd hope for in a place like this. But the food? Unreal. The soufflé pancake absolutely lives up to its reputation. Truly a "how do they DO that?" moment. Soft, airy, custardy in the center, lightly caramelized on the outside. I also ordered the Ono Meal Set, which came with two eggs and (highly recommend) an upgrade to the fried rice. For sides, I went with Portuguese sausage and breakfast potatoes. Everything on the plate was seasoned perfectly and genuinely delicious. I even saved some to eat again later because it was that good. Aloha Kitchen serves phenomenal food--easily some of the best breakfast plates in Waikiki. The service didn't feel warm or welcoming, especially as a solo diner, but the flavors more than made up for it. read more

We got to Aloha Kitchen at about 11:45 am and it was a short 3-5 minute walk from our hotel, Hilton Hawaiian Village. What a hidden gem! They open until 2 pm so get there early so they don't run out of their famous soufflé pancakes! We shared the Lobster Eggs Benedict and it was deliciously paired with house potatoes and side salad. The poached eggs were placed delicately on top the most buttery lobster pieces and English muffins. We annihilated that quite quick. Then ended with the most pillowy Strawberry Banana soufflé with Nutella and macadamia nuts. It was like eating fluffy clouds! Enjoyed our brunch with pineapple juice. A great breakfast/brunch choice if you're in Waikiki! The hostess was fun and very welcoming. Just sign your name in front and wait to be seated. We probably waited only 2-3 minutes. read more

This was a really great find!! This location is a breakfast/brunch spot that closed at 1pm. We came for the soufflé pancakes but the oven broke so we had to regroup our expectations. There was a short wait but the service turnaround was really fast! Let us begin. We ordered the French toast, bagel Sammy, and açaí bowl with a side of fries and sausage. Everything came out at a reasonable time frame and it was all REALLY yummy. The açaí bowl was fresh and refreshing, the Sammy was packed! And the French toast had a lot of great flavor. We were not disappointed. Everyone who worked there was super kind and inviting, it was a great environment. This location has top tier hospitality. The seating area was on the smaller size but it made it feel homey. My only qualm that I had is that we ordered two iced coffees and 1 hot coffee and ended up with one hot coffee ,one iced coffee, and a POG juice. This was our first time visiting Aloha Kitchen. It was just a few minutes from our hotel, so we decided to give it a try. We ordered the Soufflé Coconut Macadamia Nut Pancakes and the Salmon and Spinach Benedict. For drinks, we had fresh orange juice and guava mimosas. This place did not disappoint. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive, and the food was delicious--everything was perfect. Their prices are very reasonable, especially for the quality. Highly recommended! read more

We spent 9 days in Waikiki and had no better breakfast than Aloha Kitchen. Large portions, reasonable prices, and fun atmosphere. Highly recommend, we will definitely be back on our next trip. read more
This place is always busy with long lines, and we've skipped it a few times but today we finally decided to try it and it was totally worth the wait! We ordered four different dishes to share: * I had an iced coffee with oat milk on the side just perfect, exactly how I make it at home. * The strawberry + banana fluffy pancakes were absolutely delicious! Huge portion, soft and flavorful we couldn't even finish it. * My son ordered the Meat Lovers Omelette, and he couldn't stop talking about how much he loved the crispy, well-seasoned potatoes that came with it. * I went with the Lobster Benedict OMG, the lobster was so sweet, fresh and satisfying. I could only finish half because it was so rich and filling. Our server was attentive and checked on us often, and one of the hosts even remembered my name such a thoughtful touch that made our experience even more enjoyable. The ambiance is cozy and warm a bit small, but very comfortable. We'll definitely be back! :) read more
Aloha kitchen was absolutely delicious! So delicious that my partner and I decided to go there two days in a row. You're welcomed with a great ambience by the waiter with a positive personality and a fun twist with calling your name. He called "Trail Mix" for mine which is already a fond nickname. We had the Kalua pork eggs Benedict both days because it was so delicious. And the breakfast potatoes were so good that we needed to order another side. The soufflé pancakes would melt in your mouth. The banana strawberry was yummy with the chocolate sauce. But we were a big fan of the berry soufflé with the mixed berries and berry sauce. Along with a nice scoop of ice cream. I'm so happy we got to enjoy their food and can't wait to enjoy it again on the next trip! read more

There's always a line at this place on weekends. I'd been craving soufflé pancakes for the longest time, and since I was in the area, I figured I'd finally go for it. Sure enough, there were a ton of people waiting outside, so I knew getting a table was pretty much impossible given the time constraint I was on. We decided to go for takeout instead. They told us (twice!) that it's cash only, which was fine--just a heads-up for anyone planning to go. They also don't take phone orders; you have to place it in person, which I found interesting. My partner got me the strawberry banana soufflé pancake (he lost a bet--his loss, my gain ). It was really good. A bit pricey at $20, but definitely a sweet treat worth trying. Craving: satisfied. Would totally come back if I'm in the mood to splurge a little. I've been here before and the food has always been solid. read more

Aloha kitchen came highly recommended so I was really excited to try it. We arrived around 8 o'clock and it took us about 40 or so minutes to get seated, which was pretty typical. As soon as we entered, we were greeted immediately and the staff was warm and didn't make you feel rushed even though there was a huge line outside. The interior was bright and inviting. I ordered the coconut soufflé pancake with the side of Portuguese sausage. The soufflé pancake was light and fluffy and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The Portuguese sausage was really flavorful and seared perfectly. I was so surprised that I didn't feel as full as I normally do after eating traditional pancakes, that I almost ordered another pancake. But I remembered that I still had to make the long journey back to our hotel so I decided against it I'll definitely be back if I'm ever in the area, it was worth the wait! read more

Great friendly service. They are super quick and on it because there was a long line outside for brunch this morning. There is a parking lot that charges about five dollars an hour right next-door or you can park by the lagoon or street side parking if there is any. There is a bathroom in the back and they are super accommodating for any size party sign the waitlist at the front. read more
I didn't know anything about this place before my vacation. I was driving back to my hotel around 0645 and saw a line forming. My hotel was just down the road so I made note of the restaurant name and looked it up as soon as I parked. The reviews were amazing so I walked back and got in line. You put your name on a list and at 7am the host starts greeting and calling for parties to be seated. The host was full of energy and very welcoming. Such a fun way to start the morning! They are quick to get food out to you. The first guests seated was a party of 6. All were eating by 0715. My wait was only 10 minutes because I arrived at 0657. My food arrived within 15 minutes as well. I ordered the apple Alamode pancake with a side of bacon (5 strips). My food was absolutely delicious. I ate everything! Highly recommend you visit. Worth the wait in line. Generous breakfast portions from a welcoming and friendly staff. A lilting "Aloha!" greeting as they seat you is a warm hug. The food is delicious and do not miss the soufflé pancakes. Custard-y and pillow-y and so satisfying with ample fruit. We had the Strawberry -sautéed bananas-Macademia nut soufflé pancakes with Nutella. So yummy! The lobster benny is a savory eggs Benedict with expertly poached eggs in Hollandaise sauce. The crispy potatoes were light and crunchy. A lightly dressed salad was a perfect addition to balance the dish. It was hard to stop eating the dish. Truly, there is a reason the line out-the-door begins at 7:30 AM. They close at 1:00 PM so, go before Noon to fully enjoy your breakfast. This is one of the more popular spots in Honolulu for breakfast. I highly recommend coming right when they open as it can get pretty busy. We got their omelette, loco moco and their soufflé Mac nut pancake. The food was great here and the highlight was the Mac nut pancake as it was super soft and the sauce was so good and addicting! Wow, what a Hawaiian experience of hospitality! David, was the host with the most! great hospitality the right amount of comedy getting the customers ready for the tasting experience. i also noticed all wait staff tend to the. customer not like most places were the wait staff is assigned to an area it appeared that all staff took responsibility for good customer service! I recommend the "signature pancake soufflé i never tasted anything like it! light, fluffy right amount of sweetness, berries fresh not frozen. read more

My fav place for breakfast!! I can see why there's always a line. So glad this place was just a few min walk from our hotel so we were able to beat the crowd. Awesome brunch! This place is about 5 min walk from Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort. We had the Salmon & spinach eggs benedict (delish), Bacon cheeseburger, tried the Loco Moco, and the Portuguese sausage meal. My Benedict was delish, loco moco was ok, cheeseburger was, well a cheeseburger..we enjoyed the meals. Service was as fast and friendly. Happy tummy! read more

I keep trying to call and no one ever answers the phone?
Aloha, Three hours behind west coast time, they close at 1pm. They come up on trip advisor, try an email. Maholo🤙🏻
Is this place open? Mail box is full, no one picks up.
I was just there a week ago...so yes they should be open. They are crazy busy so might not have anyone free to answer the phone. Wait time for breakfast is always 45 minutes to an hour
Where can I park?
We found limited parking in town and walk from our rental condo which was 3 blocks away. I saw parking on the side street like Lipeepee St or Horbron Lane.
Do they take Reservations for Mother's Day Breakfast?
Is there usually a long wait?
Yes. Wait was long and service is bad when it's busy. Try to sit closer to the kitchen. We were seated in the corner next to the window and we thought that was prime seating. But when it came to being served it was awful. The only thing good there… Read more
