This place was really great! Service was awesome and we had a big group and they were able to accommodate us. I love the layout. The only challenge is parking! It can be a little tricky. The food was bomb! Everything tasted ono. They had a wide variety so I'm so sad to hear they're closing. Would come back! 10/10

Fun little restaurant located by the pier! I initially came to Nami Kaze when they first opened, so I'm late posting this review. Restaurant is casual, but clean. Staff is super friendly. They have a QR code for the menu and you order from that. When I ate here, we came for brunch. Now, looking at their website, it appears they're only open for dinner, no brunch anymore. There's a nice selection of food items. We were able to order sushi, French toast, tasty desserts among other items. Food was really good. Definitely want to come back and try dinner.

Great food and ambiance! Love that they change the menu items so you can have a different experience. Every dish is delicious! I loved their sushi rolls, sashimi, and lobster appetizer which was like escargot with their Japanese milk bread! Free parking Reservations available Great service

My boyfriend and I had the best dinner experience at Nami Kaze the other day! [Ambiance] Nami Kaze is impeccably clean, stylish and aesthetically pleasing. There is plenty of free parking close by. Two single room restrooms. Plenty of seating. Tip: Make a reservation ahead of time if you can! My boyfriend and I just walked in and got seated fairly quickly; however, the place got busy as the night progressed. [Food] My boyfriend and I mostly ordered off the sushi menu. We tried sushi rolls, samplers and the early grey basque cheesecake. The fish was exceptional in freshness, flavor and appearance. The cheesecake was pretty good too! My boyfriend loved the sakes that were recommended to him by our server (Kainalu, I think). [Service] From the host to the server, everyone was hardworking, efficient and kind. The team here is one oiled machine. They all appear to enjoy their jobs--made me want to apply! We will most definitely be back, maybe for brunch next time?

Last week I had a chance to enjoy an Omakase dinner. Only once before I attended this event (May of 2024) and was informed that each dish was the developed and prepared by one of the sous chefs, or cooks. This time each of the nine courses was inspired by Jason Peeel. Each course was delicious, the ambiance was lively and friendly and the whole affair was an exceptional meal. The first course consisted of Hokkaido Scallop with finger lime. This set the stage for the following courses: Oyster with Hau'uka tomato, Hawaiian Kampachi and shiso, Hawaiian Big Ete Tuna-Hudson Valley Foie, Kauai Prawns-yuzu, Smoked Trout Roe-Hakurei Radish, Beef-sushi Rice, Lamb Loin-Roselle, Ikura-mushroom and a Mango cream dessert. Each course elevated the expectation for the next course and each came through for a magnificent meal.

I've been to Nami Kaze before and had a wonderful experience -- I forgot to leave a review the first time, but I'm back again and it's still just as amazing! I really appreciate how they incorporate farm-fresh ingredients and change up the menu regularly. It keeps things exciting and seasonal. One of my favorite things about dining here is the seating setup -- being able to sit in front of the chefs and watch them work their magic adds a whole new layer to the experience. This time, two standout dishes were the scallop and escargot -- everything was incredibly fresh, tender, and literally melted in my mouth. The flavors were on another level; I've never had anything quite like it! .

Last day they are serving lunch. We were offered a prix fixe menu. Excellent service. Nice restaurant. I got the melon soup, caesar salad, steak frittes. For dessert, tiramisu cake, and sherbet. Food was delicious! Everything. Tons of parking.

Highlights are free parking however if you want to park close to restaurant then it's little more difficult to park close, very nice staff, tasty offerings but very pricey. We made reservations via open table so that made things easy. The restaurant is cozy with seating for smaller parties. Staff are very attentive. Best kids menu I have seen with many choices for the kids. Adult menu has a few things with high prices which makes this place a kinda "come here for special occasions". We were a party of six and decided to order a bunch of appetizers and entrees to share. The sushi dishes were delicious. The short rib was tender with tons of flavor. Kids dishes were generous in portion size. Everything tasted really good. Dessert was unique local and tasted refreshing. Will definitely return to try other things on this menu!

Nothing short of Amazing. A very well thought out menu very with thoughtful pairings. If you are picky and want to omit or change things, please do not come here. There is no reason. These ingredients are paired well and any changes would be a complete failure on your part, or just eat off the kids menu. The Foie Gras- absolutely wonderful. So this is meant to be eaten with your bread that is served. Put the foie gras on the bread slices and put all the almonds and bbq gel and lychee on it and eat it in a couple of bites all paired together. You will get an explosion of flavors and textures. The Lobster pasta was so good. Those deep roasted and smokey flavors leave a wonderful bite in your mouth. A fairly large portion and the lobster was so tender. The Kanpachi was the absolute winner tonight. That beurre blanc was so amazing, that we needed it bottled to Come home with us. In many restaurants you will see beurre blancs with oil specs (not a beurre blanc) ans usually broken. It is also difficult to keep a blanc from not breaking fro kitchen to table. This was absolutely perfect. It is so simple and so delicious. The fish, white and flakey and cooked Perfectly!! The green beans were perfectly cooked and those spiced almonds were incredible. The only complaint I have for this dish is that a I had to share it and I did not get my own plate. We could not get enough. The specialty rolls were good and had a different take on flavors than you Would normally be used too. Very good. We ordered the Tsunami and the Krusty Krab. We did get two kids menu orders which was Hosomkai which are smaller rolls . There were 12pcs and the cucumber roll didn't hit perfectly . The ume shiso wasn't our favorite paring with the cucumber. The miso was so good. The miso was so rich and so yummy. The ube cookies and cream gelato were banging good. The bar area is beautiful, this place is beautiful and laid out thoughtfully. Loved the open kitchen . Note the Chef. Please have a blind tasting menu and try it on our family and other patrons. You are amazingly talented and would love to eat in a blind bliss of your fun and unique pairings!! I know you well sell out!! 5 people 2 adults-3 growing boys (who ate every single thing) 1 alcoholic beverage . Before tip $248.15

Namikaze is trying something new and doing a prix fixe brunch instead! They provide many options and I'm thankful the roasted vegetables are still on the menu and the beef short ribs! The AC is also not blasting, so no need to dress warm!

What an excellent experience!! My husband and I came here on a Friday night for a 630p reservation and were seated right away at the bar. I sat closer to where the food was coming out, so it was a little warmer than if we sat in the main dining room, but it was no big deal. And I got to see all the food coming out! We ordered 6 items from the menu to share and the hamachi crudo is something I will never forget. We also got the pickled beet salad which was SO good when you dipped the House Japanese Milk Bread. I also ordered the chawanmushi, corn (I'd skip these), and the lukki nana (25/10). This was filling enough to share with my husband to achieve the right amount of full. The service was also excellent--our server was so attentive and so friendly, it was like eating at a friend's house. It's a shame this place is closing because this was easily one of the best meals I've had.
